sometimes you encounter a spirit problem you can't solve on your own and you break into your teacher's house about it. and then because in addition to being your teacher hes also a family friend you decide to interrogate him about why hes being so weird and secretive. Just normal things!

Five and Delores are all the proof the world needs that relationships that aren't all about sex, cheating, or love triangles produce some of the most whack insanely interesting stuff going on. Is it healthy? No but neither are forbidden romances and we can't seem to stop writing them. In short, we do in fact need more insane bonkers absolutely ridiculous love stories even if it means one member is a literal mannequin. Way to think outside the box Gerard

any particular thoughts on how number would react to delores?

The long and short of it is that Number would fucking hate Delores. She represents too much about how bad things could have been for him and begs for self reflection, which he is not going to do.

She's an immediate shorthand to show how desperate and insane Five got living alone in the apocalypse, with the added level of that Number is also Five. Number is also confident and comfortable in his identity as aroace - been there, tried it, didn't like it, he's good to go. And now here's this alternate version of himself that not only went so far off the deep end that he made up a person to love, but he then made that fake person his wife.

We know the nuance of Five and Delores (at least through my headcanon - Five was 13 when he landed in the apocalypse and had very limited examples and vocabulary for what adult relationships are and mean to build his Person with), but Number absolutely is not going to sit down and listen. He's out, it's too close and too real and makes how close he was to being Five too much. Delores' introduction to us in the show was a real What The Fuck; her introduction to Number would be a true mindfuck. She's where he's drawing his line for Too Far.

Otherwise would he carry some sort of ‚hole‘ in his belongings since Dolores isn’t shown with a lower body? .. That did it. That line made me feel so icky. My headcanon? I think he held two conflicting views: he and Dolores had real sex, yet he was still a virgin. I read his insanity regarding Dolores as permeable. Logically, he knows what she is and what he was doing, but she feels real emotionally so he chooses to live in the reality where they're a loving couple. Because Five knew Dolores's anatomy wasn't really suitable to fulfil his needs, Dolores also knew that. I imagine they had an agreement: if she and Five ever escape the apocalypse, he is free to sleep with other people. I don't imagine he stayed a virgin long after joining the commission. In one of my fics, Alias Number Five, I have him having an awkward but sweet first-time with a sex worker in New Mexico.

On the wiki page it’s DElores, but I’ve seen it spelt DOlores more often so I’m not sure anymore.

What were "Delores"' core beliefs ?

Delores? Well, I understand she is a mannequin, but she did have some core beliefs.

She did not talk too much, only when she felt the need to, and I respected that. Of course, she always felt the need to talk when with me, or when we were drinking. Usually I'm the only one drinking, and I think she thinks I drink too much. Did I mention Bordeaux is her favourite wine?

She also cared quite a bit about her looks, making sure she looked pretty in the eyes of all, but she didn't base her whole personality around them.
