A few days ago i had to go somewhere close by but i didn't feel like walking so i took a rickshaw. At a red light the rickshaw stopped and a few seconds later a metro train passed by overhead. The scene looked beautiful with sunlight reflecting on the metro making it shine. Then after the metro passed a few seconds later three butterflies crossed through my rickshaw very closely and I was like 😭 Aww what a lovely and beautiful moment i feel very happy appreciating these simple moments enjoying such simple things makes my life more enjoyable 🤍 i weren't looking for a beautiful moment but the sunlight on the metro and the butterflies created a magical scene indeed and a rickshaw ride and a red light might seem mundane but i found joy in those details and these things make feel so grateful I don't need always grand gestures just a little appreciation for the everyday is enough 🎀

I expected no less from Spiderverse but the cultural references in the movie still made me immensely happy (I am by no means a the-buck-stops-with-me authority on my culture, nor is this a complete list, I’m just naming random things that I caught that made me happy to see)

This might sound weird, but authentically Indian music? Like, whenever India shows up in western media, there’s Bollywood music in the background, whether you’re in the north, south, east or west, and it annoys me that it feels like they think that’s the only music we have here, India has just as much variety as other countries do. I can’t explain what type of music showed up when Miles fell into Mumbattan (I have to listen to it again when more of the soundtrack comes out) but I can tell you it evoked a specific sense of longing and nostalgia in me that I can’t put into words
