Edith Gru, my favorite character from my fourth favorite movie. She’s pretty destructive for an eight-year-old, isn’t she? :P

So I saw this while scrolling on pintrest, 2 things. Why tf is this 65 dollars and why did my brain tell me that Gru's brother was some gay lover and his LITERAL WIFE was the fun wine aunt °-°

This Despicable Me - Zork mashup came to me thinking of old memes and turned into one of those "i have to draw it" situations. I had fun making it ~stylistic~

Despicable Me AU - info (part 1)
So, before I finally upload my OC from my Despicable Me AU, I think I should introduce my Despicable Me AU - something about how it is connected to the original series, if there are any changes from the movies, which characters I added to the universe, etc.
But because there's a lot of things I can say, I'll be uploading the info in more than one post, slowly revealing info.
Alright, let's jump into it:
This AU is named "Despicable Minions" as a combination of the main series "Despicable Me" and the prequel series "Minions";
The main plot of the AU happens in 2023, 9 years after Despicable Me 3 (which takes place in 2014 in my AU);
This AU mostly takes place in Toronto in Canada;
This AU is made as a spin-off, focusing on Lucy's family (and Lucy herself) that has never been explored in the original series - the only thing we know from Cinco Paul's Twitter is that Lucy's parents are dead (source: Uživatel Cinco Paul na Twitteru: „@lozzatastic Rumor has it they were tragically killed by a villain when Lucy was very young, which is why she later joined the AVL.“ / Twitter) but we don't know if she has siblings or not in the original series;
In this AU, female minions exist - it's revealed they were hiding for centuries but they currently live with one of Lucy's relatives - the oldest male minions knew about their existence but they kept it for themselves (it was a deal between the alphas of each tribe);
In this AU, Lucy is a granddaughter of Scarlet and Herb Overkill and also the great-granddaughter of Wild Knuckles;
Gru, the girls, male minions and other canon characters can and some of them even will appear but less often than Lucy's family and Lucy herself;
The timeline of the original movie series is a little changed in my AU or the unknown years are added;
"Minions" takes place in 1970, not in 1968;
"Minions: The Rise of Gru" takes place in December 1975 (prologue), January 1976 (main story - ending on 1st February 1976 in 1:00) and 3rd March 1976 (epilogue);
"Despicable Me" takes place in April and May 2012, ending one week after 26th May 2012;
"Despicable Me 2" takes place in April and May 2013, ending in August 2013;
"Despicable Me 3" takes place in summer 2014, between June and July;
As well as timeline, age of canon characters (at least of the more important ones) will be also changed soon - birthdays will be added (it will be made by me or added from wiki);
More OCs will appear (and not all of them will be connected to canon characters) - also, canon characters might have tiny design changes (mostly in their wardrobe);

If Illumination did the Mario dance (Part 2)
If the Despicable Me franchise did the Mario dance, I'd like to imagine these being the exact characters doing so:
Felonious Gru himself, Lucy Wilde-Gru, Dru Gru, Margo, Edith, Agnes, the Minions (obviously, as they're the fun-loving mascots of the company), Marlena Gru, Vector, Dr. Nefario, Silas Ramsbottom, Fred McDade (why not let the short-scene neighbor do the dance), Eduardo Perez/El Macho, Balthazar Bratt, Scarlett Overkill, Herb Overkill, the Nelson family, Queen Elizabeth II (fictionalized version), Clive, the Vicious Six, and Master Chow.
As for the Sing characters, I currently lack the spirit to select which ones.
