Hey Disco Elysium fans

I just discovered DETECT OR DIE

It's a tabletop rpg inspired by detective stories about memory. Direct inspirations are Blade Runner and of course Disco Elysium, but ALSO another ttrpg called Bluebeard's Bride. Which if you're not familiar with; the players play different parts of the psyche of the Bride, who needs to survive being imprisoned by Bluebeard. It's a psychological horror game where the fate of the Bride is dependent on how the players work together while having competing goals and compulsions.

PCs literally stands for Personality Components, c'mon how cool is that!

It wouldn't be a Disco-inspired game without sick-ass art for the playbooks.

Girl help the game literally ends with a FIGHT BETWEEN THE PLAYERS TO SEE WHO IS THE DOMINANT PERSONALITY WHAT

Detective fiction is about making sense of the world.

Science fiction is about making sense of the world.

Politics is about making sense of the world.

Yeah yeah I'm digging this design philosophy.

A Disco Elysium ttrpg, a detective game about the mystery of the self, a game where all the players play different parts of one character's brain.

If any of that appeals, then DETECT OR DIE may interest you. I dunno I'm literally going off what I've seen so far, but I WILL be checking this out myself.

Renowned as a mercenary, gambler, and thief; Travis' colorful history makes others very wary about his current position. However his ability to gather intel makes him a valuable addition to the city's law enforcement. Equipped with a one-of-a-kind rifle, pray he never sets his sights on you. 

Yes he does have an actual name. No he won't tell you.

For the most part, he's an obstacle for the player as a Sheriff from the big city and spends most of his time opposing Lucian. While he's a person of authority, he's technically outside his jurisdiction in the town so him and Lucian are almost always locked in a battle of wits.

I've got about 100 characters to design and that doesn't even get into all the expressions I'll need to do! But none of that scares me! I just want things looking consistent!

Because of Rusty Lake, I’m forever aware of the stuff in my room and what it means about me from an outsider’s perspective lmao

The “safety plan” sheet on my wall = crippling depression (every time I look at this it reminds me of Laura’s Prozac ‘script on her fridge XD)

Numerous items of Star Wars merchandise = no life, obsesses over Star Wars

Way too many light fixtures & closed curtains? = possibly a vampire, but that remains to be seen.

Body pillow = very, VERY single

Two mirrors, but both are covered = still may be a vampire… or perhaps afraid of the room catching on fire

Way too many boxes = probably a hoarder, or possibly part cat

Cane fallen on the floor in a very unacceptable place = perhaps a cosplayer (would explain the boxes), but unlikely because of the shape of the cane. Maybe pretending to be disabled?
