Miguel x Reader, Fluff, Word Count: 1,357

You were running late to head to HQ, hastily shoving your foot into the space of your spider suit. You pick up your bagel from the counter to take a large bite before sliding your arms through the sleeves and zipping yourself up as best as you could. You looked over at the couch, seeing your baby brother passed out, his little arm dangling off the cushion while his other arm held your Spider-Woman figure close to his chest. Having a bit of peace of mind, you decided that it was alright for you to leave while you had the chance until your mother could get home. Lifting up your Gizmo, you placed it around your wrist and typed in the numbers for Miguel’s dimension. The usual warping started, lifting your home trinkets in the air and giving a breeze that was trying to suck in its wormhole. The familiar hexagon grows inside your home, flashing lights and you put on your mask before jumping in–failing to notice that the noise made a certain toddler wake up. Landing on your feet, you found yourself on the beam that leads to Miguel’s office. You greeted a few other Spider-People and Peters while jogging past them. They waved back and some let out a few chuckles which would’ve confused you if you weren’t so focused on trying to not be so late. When the doors opened up, you slowed down your jogging to a normal walk to pretend you weren’t hauling ass and to calm your racing heart. You took a peek around the corner to see Miguel on his usual platform, typing and swiping away yellow hologram screens. You take a deep breath and swallow. “Miguel.” You call out. He doesn’t move an inch when he hears you and continues to pull up another video recording. “You’re late.” He says, his soft voice echoing in the giant room. You wince and purse your lips. “Just a bit. I’m sorry. I woke up late, my baby brother was restless and–”

“Doesn’t matter. Just get up here.” Miguel motions you up to his high platform with his hand. You then use your web shooter to stick onto the hunk of metal and swing yourself up beside him. “So what’s the quota for today?” You ask, going into work mode as his right hand. Miguel pulls up a few monitors to show you glimpses of camera footage of anomalies around different dimensions. “We just need to bring as much back to their homes. Lyla hasn’t detected any further canon events.” You nod along, peering into the footage and unsuspecting to the little toddler waddling inside with a toy in his hand. He stumbles a bit, falling to his knees and hands and dropping the toy with a soft clank. Due to how high you and Miguel were, you could barely hear it. He grunts as he gets up, patting the imaginary dust off himself and picking up the toy version of you. Once he picks it up, he lifts it high up in the air with a worried look that this little toy version of you had been damaged or scratched. His eyes go in and out of focus as he notices two figures in the air on the platform you were standing on. Slowly, he makes the connection that the toy and you were in the same room. He had found you! He giggles happily and calls out your name with his own squeaky voice. Your and Miguel’s head snap down to look at the noise and you gasp loudly, calling out his own name in return with worry.

You quickly rip off your mask and swing down to him, collecting him in your arms. “What–how–What are you doing here?!” You whisper-yell at him, which he giggles at. “There–there was a big–whoosh–and I woke up and you went in and I went here!” He explains, using his little toy figure to give a visual explanation. “What happened?” You hear Miguel ask from above. “Nothing–Just–Nothing!” You try to hide your brother from Miguel to avoid looking irresponsible. “Come back up here.” He says. You brother tries to peek through your hair up at Miguel before you use your webs to swing back up to the platform. “I’m so sorry, Miguel. My brother–he–I think he followed me into the portal without me knowing. My mom was supposed to be home after I left but now that he’s here, she probably thinks I’m taking care of him…” You ramble on and on all while your brother reaches out to Miguel, curious and admiring his gigantic build and cool look. You try to hold him back, another apology ready to spill out your lips when Miguel reaches out and takes your brother in his hands. It’s uncomfortable for a moment, but Miguel stays neutral. Miguel carefully cradles your brother in his arms, shifting him around to rest him on his hip. Your brother looks up at Miguel with wonder and then looks at you, finally connecting the dots that you’re in your spider suit. “She–she’s not, um, Spider-Woomin.” He shakes his head and rests his head on Miguel’s shoulder, picking up the toy's arm up and down. He then glances at you with his eyes and gives you a smile–since he kept his promise of not telling anyone you’re a superhero. You laugh a dry chuckle–the promise only being meant for people in your universe instead of your literal boss–but you pat his head anyway.

You look up at Miguel apologetically. “I’m really sorry about this Miguel. God, it was so dangerous for him to portal here and be her. I–I’ll take him home.” You try to scoop him out of Miguel’s hands but he subtly tightens your brother in his arms. “It’s fine,” He says softly. “I don’t mind. If there’s no one home to care for him, he can stay here,” He shrugs and looks down at your brother mindlessly making your toy fly in the air. “Peter brings Mayday all the time, Jess just had Gerry–really your brother wouldn’t be a problem.” He assures you. “Are you sure…?” You ask hesitantly, wincing that he’s just being too nice. You then noticed the platform come to a stop at the ground. Miguel had lowered the three of you down so he could let the child roam freely without hurting himself. He places him down but he chooses to stay seated by Miguel’s side, growing fonder of him. “Yes,” Miguel says. “It’s no problem.” He places a hand on your shoulder and you stiffen softly at the physical contact. Your brother watches up at you two, nibbling on the toy’s head. You relax, seeing and feeling how he means it–he really doesn’t mind. “Alright.” You smile up at him and can even see just a glimpse of his own. For the remainder of the day, you and Miguel switch between holding your brother when he wants to be held and entertaining him when he’s bored. The toddler would often try to bother Miguel, which he didn’t mind and you apologized for, so he would take him in his arms and Miguel would lead you through the various files and direct you what to do while he held him. At some point, your brother began whining and wanting food in a sleepy state. Miguel offered the cafeteria to you and you both went in hopes that your brother would want to find something to eat before having his nap. While on the way, Miguel holds the sleepy child in his arms, your brother's little arms barely even wrapping around Miguel’s broad neck. Other spiders look with wide eyes and murmuring amongst themselves.

“Did they ‘ave a kid?” Hobie mutters to Gwen. Gwen looks around him to see Miguel holding your brother carefully in his arms while you try feeding bits and pieces of some chicken nuggets and slices of apples. “No,” She looks back up at Hobie with a frown before it drops and she takes a double take to see the soft happy look on Miguel’s face while you feed the child. “No…right?”

I mean, he said way back when that he didn't know where he'd be living in two weeks, so he has probably moved a lot & the show didn't want to make a bunch of new sets.

Shawn stayed at a Colour Me Mine place last spring & made all of the saucers. Apparently h is into pottery or glazing or whatever. Shawn also steals a bunch of Gus's clothing. & Juliet totally thinks shawn is the type to cross dress. I mean yeah! He totally would try on drag, not because he's a drag queen or anything, but just to try it out. (Or maybe he was a queen for a month before the show started. That sounds legit.) The show would do it for a case & it would be played off as a man in a dress joke, but the actual queens would be really good, the joke would only be about shawn & gus. Oh wait I just realized, we did see shawn's place in ep 1.

Hello all, My name is Luna, or Ki or Ohara; whichever you may prefer to call me. I am a multi-ship; multi fandom roleplayer thats fairly new to the world of Tumblr roleplaying. BEen at the roleplaying game for a few years so I do have experience. I will try and keep this short so we can get to the fun bits, haha I gladly double/triple and play whoever you may want for your muse in return for my chosen favorites. As I myself am in my 20s+ I much prefer to have a partner of at least 17+ However, if we truly click or it's a fandom that's- shall we say on the rare side {Example being; Yugioh, Shadow and Bone, etc} I may be willing to make an exception to this rule.

Yohariko Phantom Thief AU

so i was listening to meimei tantei yohane on repeat on my way back from class today, as you do, and this popped into my brain and refused to leave

Yoshiko is the world class detective Yohane

she became a detective because she loved the thrill of the chase

but most of her cases are murders or disappearances or kidnappings, which just leech the joy out of her work and make her Very Sad

except for That One Case She Hasn't Cracked Yet - a mysterious masked jewel thief with long red hair: the Phantom Thief Lili

of course she never notices that her best friend perfectly matches the elusive thief's description

despite the fact that she's never caught the phantom thief, she has managed to return all of the stolen jewels because

perplexingly, the jewels will reappear in a second location just after the report of the initial heist - sometimes a more heavily guarded location then the first

Riko didn't intend to be a phantom thief

she just didn't want Yoshiko to be sad anymore

so she orchestrated a fairly simple jewel heist

Yoshiko gets a call from a distraught Mari Ohara, "Oh no! My necklace is missing! Please help me, Detective Yohane!"

(mari is in on it)

the original intention was for it to just be an open-shut case that ended with Yoshiko revealing Riko as the culprit

but mari...embellished some details on her own and the whole thing got a bit carried away

and strangely Yoshiko never even considered Riko as a suspect despite several Very Obvious clues

even though Yoshiko never solved it, Riko saw a smile on her face after work for the first time in years

and everything escalated from there

Tanggal 29 November saya mulai membaca OnePiece.

Suatu malam sambil makan Perkedel Bondon bersama kawan, saya dihasut untuk mulai membaca OnePiece. Untuk memulai cerita, sebelumnya saya bukan fans dalam hal membaca manga. Sebelum OnePiece, manga yang saya baca hanya tiga: Yu-Gi-Oh!, Rockman, dan Detective Conan. Dari ketiga komik tersebut yang tamat hanya Yu-Gi-Oh! dan itu saat masih di sekolah dasar, selain itu, Detective Conan saya rasa juga tidak akan tamat.

Saat masih di bangku S1, sering sekali setiap OnePiece merilis chapter baru, seorang kawan selalu saja mengetik “Rek, OnePiece sudah keluar!”. Saya saat itu skeptis, mengapa manga yang sudah populer sejak saya masih SD tersebut masih populer di kalangan teman-teman saya yang saat itu sudah dalam jenjang mengerjakan tugas akhir sarjana. “Banyak hal yang merupakan gambaran dari apa yang terjadi di dunia nyata” kata kawan saya pada saat itu, tentunya respon saya cuma mengangguk-angguk saja.

Satu hal yang membuat saya mulai adalah celetukan kawan saya pada saat itu bahwa petualangan OnePiece sudah akan sampai di Arc terakhir yang mana OnePiece (yang kita tidak pernah yakin benar apa isinya sedari SD) sebentar lagi akan terkuak oleh Mugiwara (kelompok Bajak Laut Topi Jerami). Membacanya ketika OnePiece tamat tentunya tidak akan seru jika sudah tahu wujud OnePiece-nya. Singkat cerita, sepulang dari makan perkedel, tepat jam 01.00 saya membaca chapter 1.

Hal yang gila adalah pada jam 5 sore di hari itu, saya sudah menghabiskan 70 chapter. Respon kawan-kawan saya saat itu tentunya adalah terkejut. Tapi apa sih yang sebenarnya membuat saya tertarik membaca manga yang dipelopori Eiichiro Oda ini?

1. Jalan cerita yang kompleks tapi dapat dipahami

OnePiece dimulai ketika Gol D Roger, seorang bajak laut legenda mengucapkan kalimat terakhirnya mengenai One Piece sebelum dia dieksekusi oleh Angkatan Laut. Hal ini kemudian diikuti oleh pergerakan dunia dalam memulai perburuan harta karun OnePiece. Sejauh tulisan ini ditulis, sudah dirilis 1071 chapter yang terdiri dari perjalanan dan petualangan melalui pulau-pulau unik di Grand Line. 

Sebagai mahasiswa arsitektur, saya membayangkan Eiichiro Oda membuat diagram-diagram skema mengenai alur ceritanya, seperti detektif, tapi disajikan dengan karakter-karakter kelompok Mugiwara yang ceria.

2. Desain karakter

Kita tidak bisa tidak suka dengan logika dalam desain karakter yang dibuat Eiichiro Oda. Misalnya karakter-karakter berbadan tegap selalu membawa pedang atau senapan, sedangkan yang bertubuh gemuk akan membawa kapak atau senjata tumpul, menurut saya ini menarik karena ketika menggunakan senjata pedang, seseorang harus tegap dan sigap, sedangkan senjata tumpul perlu power yang sangat besar. Wakil-wakil pemimpin Angkatan Laut: Aokiji, Akainu, dahn Kizaru dengan warna dasar biru, merah, dan kuning dengan elemen es, magma, dan cahaya. Ketiga karakter itu juga digambarkan dengan power yang sangat kuat sebagai bagian dari World Government.

3. Isu sosial dan politik yang relate dengan keseharian

Genosida, pembedaan ras, dan revolusi pemerintahan. Momen ketika Ohara dimusnahkan karena menyimpan sejarah yang ditutupi World Government. Fishman yang diterpa isu rasialis dengan dijadikan budak oleh manusia dan bangsawan (Celestial Dragon), maupun karakter Sabo yang mencoba memperjuangkan tatanan pemerintahan baru yang lebih adil dengan bergabung dengan pihak ketiga, Revolutionary Army (ada tiga golongan, yakni Pirates, World Government, dan Revolutionary Army), dan isu-isu seperti penyelundupan senjata untuk peperangan yang dilakukan House of Donquixote.

Ketika tulisan ini saya tulis, sejauh ini saya baru sampai pada chapter 746. Yang saya harapkan mungkin ada dua hal. Eiichiro Oda masih hidup untuk menyelesaikan fiksi ini, yang kedua adalah harta karun OnePiece tidak mengecewakan.

KYOTO, JAPAN -- The world of Japanese animation mourns the death of two (2) pioneering voice actresses from the hit classic anime series 'Doraemon'. The death of 'Yoshiko Ota', acts originally for 'Mr. Nobita Nobi', and Noriko Ohara, her successor, has left fans and their colleagues in tears.

Yoshiko Ota, who first brought Nobita to life in the 1973 version of 'Doraemon' on Nippon Television, passed away last Friday on October 29, 2021 at the age of 89. Her agency at 'Theatre Echo' announced that she succumbed to heart failure after battling the condition for several years. Ms. Ota's portrayal of Nobita laid the base for the popularity that has not only endured but also left a mark on the series.

Nobita of the 1979 series 'Noriko Ohara', died alone on Friday (July 12, 2024) at 88 y/o. Ohara's agency '81 Produce' revealed on social media post that she had died after receiving unsuccessful treatment for an unspecified illness. With her voice, Ohara's instantly became synonymous with Mr. Nobita, the character loved by generations of Japanese viewers. In a career spanning more than 4 decades, she also voiced characters in other popular anime, including 'Yatterman' that was released in January 1977 and 'Conan: The Boy in Future' in 1978. Though their names share 'Conan' from the anime series 'Detective Edogawa Conan' are no connection, or being related between the plot, genre or voice production occurs.

First broadcast in April 1979 at All-Nippon News Network's TV Asahi, 'Doraemon' just about became an instant cultural phenomenon first in Japan and then around the world. The series follows a cat robot named Doraemon as he travels back in time to help a young boy named 'Mr. Nobi Nobita'. That success may be due only to the magnificent voice acting that realized these characters and made them emotionally resonate with audiences across all ages.

Internationally, 'Doraemon' found its place in more syndicated TV networks outside Japan, whether by free or cable TV, such as Disney XD in the United States of America (U.S.A.) and GMA 7 in the Philippines. Episodes in local languages, as part of global syndication aired most of the daily reruns with no new episodes. Such worldwide reach made the series a staple of childhood for most in the world, further making it a cultural icon.

A thoughtfulness tribute between Ota and Ohara marked an era for 'Doraemon' fans. In so many ways, their comforting voices will be deeply missed. Today, 'Ms. Megumi Ohara' already has to transition her around 2 decades ago, in continuing her new legacy for a voice actress of 'Nobi Nobita', because of the likeness that matches as a fictional male character.

As the anime community reflects on their legacy, the impact of Ota and Ohara's work will continue to be felt for generations to come. Both hard work and skills have all managed to touch the anime industry, in such a way that their voices will never be forgotten, always remembered in the hearts of fans worldwide.

"Huh?!" She looked rather embarrassed at him. How could he possibly know that as well. "That's none of your business," she huffed. "But if you must know, I quit." She really wanted to close the door again and push him out but his foot prevented her, when she tried to gently get him out. Normal people would understand the message but not him. "It's funny you still think I would know anything. Do you want to play hero? Don't you know how dangerous it is to get involved with the Yakuza?" Why would he even care, as it did not look like he was befriended with Kenzo, or was he befriended with either Fukuhara or Endo? "Why are you risking your life?!"
