kori met up with devan at the local coffee shop to discuss their future together. she wants him to move to the city with her but he's just started a new full-time job with a local tech company doing something he really loves. after some lengthy discussion, they decided that maybe they could try to maintain their relationship over the distance. after all, san myshuno is just a train ride away.

the grand opening of gallery 404 was a huge success! kori's work caught the eye of some of the city's most prominent art critics and celebrities. that kind of word of mouth will bring plenty of foot traffic when she opens her doors to the public.

everyone's meeting at aubree's apartment to exchange winterfest gifts so kori and devan baked some treats for the festivities.

kori and some of her neighbors hit up the local community pool to beat the heat. she made fast friends with aubree byrne and johnny zest!

kori and her friends rang in the new year together at the local lounge! her new year's resolution is to complete a milestone of her new aspiration: city native.

the girls were all pretty hungover when they woke up in the afternoon (they literally partied til damn near dawn) so the boys took it upon themselves to catch some lunch for them.

spooky day party at the sandtrap bar! playing hostess definitely tuckered kori out because she was passed out on a bench by the end of the night.

it's their last night in granite falls. naturally this means karaoke in their pajamas!

boy we had a time last night!

after their day at the pool kori was dying to take the train into san myshuno to visit the spice festival, but nobody besides devan was up for the long train ride. that was absolutely fine by them, though. it gave them some alone time to get close to each other.

it's devan's last day in the city so they went out to breakfast and enjoyed kori's favorite part of the city: the spice district. she even managed to make some simoleons selling some of her paintings at the sunday flea market.

devan is staying the weekend! they talked about kori's feelings regarding love day and then she got some of her aggression out via pillow fight.

after the gallery opening, devan stopped by kori's place to congratulate her. the pair had a frank conversation about their relationship and the diverging paths of their lives. ultimately, they decided their romantic relationship had officially run its' course and that they would always remain friends.

on the train ride back to the arts quarter devan confessed something to kori: he couldn't really picture himself in the city. it's loud, grimy, and fast-paced... nothing like their hometown of oasis springs. kori on the other hand couldn't imagine herself anywhere else. san myshuno had fully captured her heart in all its eclectic glory. by the time they made it back to her apartment, she had her mind set on a breakup but devan had other ideas. so now their relationship is in a weird limbo state but deep down, kori knows this is likely the end of the road for the two of them.

kori spent saturday showing devan around the city. they had lunch in the park and then made their way across town to the romance festival.

after the festivities, devan stayed over for the last time in her little trailer. with most of the furniture gone and the movers already setting up her new apartment, reality is starting to sink in for kori. she shared her worries with devan and he did his best to reassure her that everything would be fine.
