The thing about being a new parent is that you have absolutely know idea what you are doing. James can certainly attest to that, and while Regulus wouldn't admit it, it's been hard learning a whole new person.

Harry was still so small, but seemed to know who his Papa was and who his Dad was. Harry would snuggle up to Regulus and cuddle up with James, and fake sleep and then giggle when James tried to put him down, and stick his little hand out when Regulus paused reading.

But the thing about having Harry is that James was so emotional. He was exhausted and drained, and trying to soak up every second of these precious moments. This often made it so he would cry a lot easier at much smaller things for no real reason.

Which is exactly what was happening now. He was leaning against the doorframe, watching Regulus rock Harry softly in his arms, singing a French lullaby as Harry drifted off to sleep.

Regulus didn't notice really until he had put Harry in his crib and started to sneak away slowly that James had tears rolling down his cheeks.

He pushed him into the hall and closed Harry's door lightly. "What's wrong?" Regulus asked wrapping James in a hug.

"Nothing. Absolutely nothing. I couldn't be happier actually."

Design; 9/10 - OMG ITS A MCDONALDS APPLE PIE!! freshly baked good boy. The little apple covering its eyes I'm just AUGH cause it matches applin!! the little paws. Just a baby dragon who got baked into a pie. Also it's still apple shaped with leaves on the top!! That's really cool!

Purpose/Effectiveness; 10/10 - as a grass/dragon type, I think it works really well. I'm not good with pokemon stats so i cant speak on that but I think the design conveys the typing really well. The apple motif is obviously grass, and the little lizard parts gives it the dragon it needs. Anyways it's my new favorite dragon type thank you for showing it to me :)

Overall; 9.5/10 - the cooler flapple.

"Dad? Why does Papa not know bubblegum?" Harry said bright green eyes looking up at him, with his tiny hands still pressed on the glass of the display case.

James looked at his son and then at Regulus, trying to see if he was just joking with Harry or not. All James saw was confusion and curiosity searching over all the flavours in the shoppe.

"Wait why do you look so confused?"

"I didn't know ice cream came in so many flavours..." Regulus whispered in awe. "I thought it was just vanilla, chocolate, or fraise," he said accent heavy on the fruit.

Harry giggled and pulled on James' shirt, "papa said strawberry dad," bright smile on his face.

"Yes thank you for translating," James said and rolled his eyes but the fondness was clear.

"Well love, which should I try?" Regulus said looking at Harry.

Harry pointed to all the flavours calling them out one by one, until he reached a prailine one and said "but not that one, Il-y-a des noix and personne aime ca," Harry explained.

"I don't think Papa wants every flavour Haz," James said.

The cashier came over to them, "what can I get for you?" They asked.

Harry jumped up, "bubblegum! Please!" he squeaked.

"Yes one kiddie size of the bubblegum, and I'll do a moosetracks, and?" James looked at Regulus but his eyes were wide in indecision.

You pick, he mouthed, and James nodded.

"And..." James ran his eyes over the flavours again. "Ahh yes, the caramel cappuccino please. And that's all thank you," James finished their order.

They went to sit outside, where there were small tables with umbrellas covering them from the beating sun.

Harry made a mess quickly but he was just a boy, and he was so happy neither parent could care.

"Try," James said holding out his cone to Regulus who took a small bite.

"Hmmm peanutbuttery," Regulus commented. "That's quite nice," he added savouring the end notes.

He held up his own and then looked back at James' "I think I like this one better. It has little ribbons of crunch in it. Who knew ice cream could be so wild," Regulus said still mesmerized.

And while James laughed, he was just as mesmerized by Regulus as any other daily occurrence, like ice cream.

I just thought of an alternate version of the apartment scene where it diverts when Sam, mindy and Anika are in Quinn’s room and Tara is pounding on the door. Upon hearing Tara at the door and her desperate pleas for Sam and chad saying he was going to get help Ghostface opens the apartment door suddenly dragging Tara in with him and locking Chad out. Idk the logistics if this tbh but shhh….. ghostface then uses Tara to threaten Sam, knowing she’d do anything for Tara. Idk how it would exactly continue for there but it would be interesting to see how Sam would cope. Andthen it can get all angsty with Sam’s constant guilt and her prioritising Tara over everyone and people getting hurt and Tara feeling guilty.

Chad says he's going to get help, and begins leaping back down the stairs. Tara's resorted to trying to kick the door down at this point, and switches to preparing to shoulder it. Just as she hits the door, it flies open and she goes crashing to the floor. By the time she's flipped herself over, it's to the sight of Ghostface towering above her and hands reaching down. One covers her mouth and the other digs a knife into her shoulder.

Inside the bedroom, the other 3 are catching their breath, cautious of the sudden silence and not ready to let their guard down. The ladder is across the window, and Sam's about to try and send Anika across when she hears a voice call out from the other side of the door.

"Samaaanntthhhaa..."

Oh good, Ghostface is still here, in case they were worried it would be that easy. Sam nods to the ladder and mouths at them to go, quickly.

"You really should keep your guard dog on a leash. You know what they do to dogs that bite? They put them down."

Ghostface removes their gloved hand from Tara's mouth and stabs down again, cutting across the existing wound. Sam hears a scream that is distinctly Tara, and doesn't even think twice, reaching for the door.

Mindy surges forward to grab her around her middle and try to hold her back. "You can't! You can't, Sam!" Sam struggles against Mindy's arms, "Tara's out there, he's got Tara!"

"Do you think I'm not worried for Chad?! This is what Ghostface wants, he wants you to open the door, what if it's a trap?"

"Then it's a fucking trap," Sam declares, escaping Mindy's grasp. She rips open the door to see her sister on the floor with a knife in her shoulder. Ghostface has one knee on her chest and a hand around her throat, Tara's hands are latched onto his wrists in an effort to remove him.

"How nice of you to finally join us, Samantha. Where are your friends?"

The banging against the bathroom door begins again.

"Oh, I invited a friend over too, I hope that's ok?"

Mindy throws herself back against the drawers holding back the bathroom door, Sam is frozen in front of the open bedroom door, and Anika is crying on the bed.

"Sam, please," Mindy cries out as the door opens wider and wider with every push. The Ghostface in front of her puts a single finger on the knife in Tara and tilts it. Her sister's pained groan has her leaping forward at Ghostface, who throws themself backwards, yanking the knife out in the same movement.

Mindy begs Anika to go, Danny is yelling from across the window. Anika stands, but she doesn't head for the window, she slumps across the drawers next to Mindy and tells her she needs to go, that she's not gonna make it, she's lost too much blood. Please, Anika begs, please go. "I don't want you to die," Mindy cries. "I don't want to die either," Anika whispers, "I love you." Mindy surges forward to kiss her and repeats it back to her. "Promise you'll try to follow me," she begs. "I will," Anika answers.

Mindy crosses, Anika tries, Ghostface flips the ladder.

Sam fights with Ghostface, and the pained scream from nearby gives Ghostface the upper hand, knife slicing across her arm. Sam trips back and then Ghostface is thrown to the side as Tara barrels into them. Sam scrambles up from the floor, grabbing at Tara's hand and they run for the door.

I was thinking about random TSC characters if they had tattoos (which I hope to make my own post about eventually, another one added to the pile) AND THEN I remembered that one Jacqueline Frost exists and I wanna know if she would have any tattoos! I asked Jacqueline and she had 0 reply so I was left on my OWN here. NONE of the characters were like, sups vocal about this. BUT ANYWAY after a good night's sleep and some pre-bed pin balling, I have a list of likely to get tattoos/want them at the VERY least:

Fino and Fiera deffs would. They probably would get something matchy for funsies at some point, somewhere like. Obscure?? Like their side or like, shoulder or like leg somewhere. Deffs a nondescript one! And probs just before they turn 2000 lol. (tho the image of two rather small 1200 year olds going HI YES 1 MATCHING TATTOO PLEASE is so fucking funny)

Fiera would get more tats than just that for sure, lol.

Blaise would tattoo. does he have any? Not that I'm aware of. But he deffs would

Jacqueline simply has 0 ideas for a funky little tattoo, so she has 0 plans for one/want for one/need for one. Part of me is like, maybe she'd tattoo her scars?? But I think she leaves them as is. She thinks they're neat. They're tinged blue. Nobody ELSE has scars like that (you can imagine how this makes literally every other Frost feel lmao. Except the Twins, they're like "yes girl get it!" Fiera more so than Fino ;) I could MAYBE see her doing one with Dite? But neither of them are like, screaming OMG YES WE HAVE ONE ALREADY EVEN so take that with a smidgen of salt

Winter would not tattoo, but her sisters would! Autumn would get smaller ones but deffs in full colour. Summer is like MY BODY IS A CANVAS LET'S GO! She'd have even MORE colours than Autumn. Spring is a basic bitch and probably has a basic tattoo somewhere like a butterfly or a flower or something. Like, a really stereotypical "I got a tattoo omg!!" kinda thing! I WILL SAY. If she got a phrase in another language, Spring would Spell Check That Shit 100%

If Blossom wasn't a bunny, she'd have tattoos (I don't want to think about the logistics for an anthropomorphic-ish bunny getting a tattoo)

Grand Witches deffs have tattoos. Both of them. What are they? Idk! But they have them!

In terms of other Legates: I think Charlie would get a tattoo >:). Xander is a solid maybe. He could go either way. Day MAYBE and Night DEFFS and his are cool. I bet they're silvery and look like they are made of moonlight (they may very well be!). I already covered Jacquie and Dite (Dite would probably get a tattoo! Doesn't have any that I know of presently but deffs would) Myles I think has a thing about needles so he probably wouldn't get one unless Olivia went with him for emotional support. Olivia would NOT get a tattoo, but probably has the best ideas for them!

Upon further reflection, Winter is not a tattoo person BUT. DEFFS KNOWS HOW TO GIVE THEM. I feel like that's an unexpected hobby she'd have and that she's probably really good at it, too.
