For two characters that barely share more than five minutes on screen together and say even fewer words to each other, DinLuke sure has me in a fucking chokehold.

I’ve noticed a late tendency in fandom spaces to not accept variations from canonical informations, or acknowledging only 1 headcanon and disregard everything else. It’s a bit strange to me considering how much of fandom is truly just about changing canon and reading between the lines, but it makes sense considering it goes hand in hand with another thing that is really bothering me, which is the “it’s not that deep” trend.
It seems to me like we went so far into the conviction that nothing is deep that now there’s a general incapacity to comprehend subtext. Like if something isn’t literally openly acknowledged by a piece of media then it doesn’t exists, and wondering if it does is dumb and not valid.
I’ve seen a shitload of people say that a ship isn’t valid because they’re not canon, or that a specific interpretation of a character or a topic is way too far off just because it hasn’t been explicitly confirmed by the author.
Which is why the bbc Merlin fandom is so refreshing and it’s so great to interact with it. The what this fandom overanalyzes every single piece of interaction between Merlin and Arthur is truly endearing. There’s so many tropes and headcanons, and the thing is that it’s not just about the main ship. There’s plenty of fanon content for every character on the show. I’ve seen pages long character analysis on Elyan or Morgause, or even Ygraine (that is dead the whole time, mind you).
Also yeah Merthur is the generally accepted ship but there’s so much more and amost all of them are fanon and based on very little content that truly comes from the show. Think Leon/Gwen or Mordred/Daegal, where do they even come from??? And there’s genuinely great content for all of them, some actual masterpieces. I’m pretty sure i read a great Morgana/human!Aithusa fanfic.
And even genuinely bad characters are sometimes redeemed by fanon. I hate Uther and Morgause but I’ve read some amazing fanfiction of them being redeemed or even just straight up good. They managed to make me like Agravain and that’s something.
All of this just to say that fandom really isn’t the place to be judging other people’s headcanons, even if they seem weird or very far off from the original piece of media. Everyone is entitled to their own interpretation, that’s the whole point. Art isn’t a dead thing immortalized by its own creator, but the experience of those who engage with it.

Filled an OTP meme sheet for DinLuke ( o˘◡˘o)
I based Din's age on the child actor's actual age (10yrs old) when he filmed the flashback scene when we assume that the event is near the end of the Clone Wars/Revenge of the Sith.
Most of Luke's clothes in his Rebellion days were hand-me-downs since he arrived at the base with just the clothes on his back. He never really bothered with shopping for his own clothes, since he was busy and his friends were more than happy to dress him up.
Din likes to have his alone time. He can't relax in crowded places even when his friends and allies are around. He survived being a bounty hunter in the Outer Rim because of that. So it's usually Luke who does the mingling and the talking, whereas Din prefers to listen and chimes in with a few words when he has something to say or he's been addressed. It helps Din's social battery from running out too fast.
They're both great pilots and often race around each other with Grogu on either of their ships. The little speed demon of a son loves it.
Neither of them are the jealous type. For Din, he's never really fallen in love with anyone to feel that sickly green pull in his stomach. When he sees Luke getting along with people (some clearly flirting), he thinks it makes sense because Luke is a very attractive person but he's firm in his belief that HE is the man Luke will always come home to. For Luke, he's never had a partner that lasted long with the life he led in the Rebellion. He doesn't feel possessive of his partners because he knows he cannot own them. Those first 19 years spent on Tatooine (where he bears the name of generations of slaves and he is the first freeborn Skywalker to carry on living) taught him that no being deserves to be owned by anyone. He also knows that he fell in love with a man who would never break his vow to him. Also, they're both adults that went through so much before they met each other. They're both just glad to have met and fallen in love at a time when their paths crossed at the perfect moment in their lives.
Luke would cook Yoda's soup recipe and Grogu would finish the whole cauldron if nobody stops him. Din isn't keen on the taste so Luke has a version that's easier to stomach for non-green gremlin beings like him.
Whenever they're in public together, they act professionally (except when they're handling Grogu between them). When alone, Din allows himself to be vulnerable with Luke. His burgeoning inner romantic emerges and Luke reciprocates with all the love he feels for his husband.

Mandalorian Slash Fic Rec List - DinLuke Volume I: Big, Medium, Heartfelt and Solemn
Hello!! Welcome to the first volume of Mando Slash Fic Rec- Dinluke! This is a collection of Dinluke fics that have a notable wordcount and fics that have a more heartfelt/solemn tone, sorted under headings that make the most sense to me personally. For reference, 🔐 means a restricted work and 💜 means an personal favorite. Check out Mando Gen lists I, II, and III. Please enjoy and give love to our cherished fic authors who we owe so much to!! -Yours, Limn <3
Big and Long and Impressive
💜 The Wanderer and the Seer by @kevystel (Din Djarin/Luke Skywalker, Grogu, Ensemble Cast, Mandalorian Politics, Original Mandalorian Characters, Mandalorian Culture, Diaspora, Teen, one of my favorites!!, 98k)
Din Djarin is temporarily relieved of a single dad's responsibilities, only to be saddled with the much greater responsibilities of Mand'alor. Temporarily. Hopefully. This is not the story of a great man becoming king; it's the story of some dude finding his place in the galaxy, freedom, and personal happiness through having some goddamn decency and good manners. Also the power of love, or whatever.
finding the lost and losing the found (series) by deniigiq (Din Djarin/Luke Skywalker, Grogu, Ensemble Cast, Mandalorian Politics, Romance, Family Dynamics, Political Alliances, Teen, 35k)
“So you’re not stealing my ship?” Mando said. “What do I want with your ship?” Luke demanded. “I don’t know. I don’t usually ask,” Mando said. (Luke tries to help his student stay focused on his studies by helping his student's father. It's harder than it looks.)
A Near-Mythological Event by SybilStarnes (Din Djarin/Luke Skywalker, Grogu, Ensemble Cast, Force Sensitive Din Djarin, Mand'alor Din Djarin, Living Waters of Mandalore, The Mandalorian Darksaber, Explicit, 116k)
Desperate to rejoin The Tribe, Din Djarin (with Grogu) travels to Mandalore to seek the Living Waters. Once they're in the caverns below the destroyed mine, a cave-in cuts off their exit. Grogu calls for help, and the legendary Luke Skywalker responds.  Cleansed by the Living Waters, Din returns to his Tribe to reswear to the Creed. He discovers it has new members, attracted to a Child of the Watch bearing the Darksaber. Meanwhile, Luke has offered to help Din learn to use the weapon. The Mandalorian finds himself on a new path, one that draws him deeper into Mandalorian politics and closer to the Jedi.  With the help of several guest stars, including one fat and sassy Force ghost, Din struggles to free Mandalore from Imperial dominance.
All the pretty places that feel like home (series) by SunshineAndaLittleFlour (Din Djarin/Luke Skywalker, Grogu, Ensemble Cast, two dangerous warriors coparenting a tiny frog, Explicit, 73k)
“Would you be more comfortable if I called you something else?” Luke asked, and it should have been teasing, but it was genuine, the soft freedom to be who he wanted in this place. And that careful gift, that offer of being who he wanted, uncontrolled and unfettered, filled Din with a lot of hope and a little bit of terror. Who was he without the creed? His people? Who was Din Djarin, standing in the halls of someone who had once been his people’s greatest enemy? Din shook his head, hearing his own breathing echo inside his helmet. “No. You can,” he faltered briefly, then took a deep breath. “You can call me by my name.”
buy a big house where we could both live by @villanellve (Din Djarin/Luke Skywalker, Grogu, Ensemble Cast, Post-Canon Fix-It, Slow Burn, Mature, 73k)
Din trails behind them and reminds himself this is temporary. He’ll make sure they get to the temple safe, and once he’s sure that Luke agrees to continue training Grogu, he’ll leave them. Grogu reaches up with his hand to tug at the edge of Luke’s shirt, and Din’s fingers flex at his sides. This is the way, he tells himself.
🔐 Get Back Homeward by berryfunkedup (Din Djarin/Luke Skywalker, Grogu, POV Alternating, Jedi Tradtion & Culture, Clones, Getting Together, Teen, 42k)
Luke is at a stalemate with the New Republic in the aftermath of everything he lost in the war and his inheritance of the Jedi’s legacy. Din seeks his tribe and takes bounties, living according to the Way. And Grogu and the Jedi are not part of the Way. But he is definitely not the new Mand’alor, no matter what Mandalorian tradition about the Darksaber says. After Moff Gideon is assassinated while held in New Republic custody, Din and Luke must work together to clear the Mandalorians from blame and uncover the real culprit. Along the way they encounter terrible politicians, fights over naps, old secrets, and just maybe, find their way forward.
Medium and Impressive
parry, parry, strike by @alchemyalice (Din Djarin/Luke Skywalker, Grogu, Leia Organa, Post-Season 2, Teen, 18k)
“Oh? What are you, their king?” the Senator says sarcastically, and then freezes at the same time Din does. “...No,” Din says. He does not sound convincing.
I have made this place around you by HeadOn_HelmetOff (Din Djarin/Luke Skywalker, Grogu, Dialogue Heavy, Early Relationship, Introspection, Teen, 25k)
“Do you know who you are, Din Djarin?” Survivor of Aq Vetina. Mandalorian. Bounty hunter. Apostate. Father. Mand’alor. “...No,” he uttered. Luke nodded sagely. “Then that’s what we’ll focus on first.”
💜 A different kind of blood by HeadOn_HelmetOff (Din Djarin/Luke Skywalker, Grogu, The Armorer, Paz Vizsla, Good Parent Din Djarin, Good Teacher Luke Skywalker, Pre-Relationship, Mandalorian Culture, Jedi Culture & Tradition, The Mandalorian Darksaber, Teen, 25k)
A slight twist on events in Ch. 5 of The Book of Boba Fett: when Grogu is afflicted with visions of his father injured on Glavis, he and Luke make a decision that will greatly influence Din Djarin's journey toward redemption and reconciliation with the survivors of his covert.
where the spirit meets the bone by @ebonybow (Din Djarin/Luke Skywalker, Grogu, Developing Relationship, Intimacy, Canon Divergence, Explicit, 28k)
He dreams of his head feeling too-heavy on his shoulders, his helmet filling slowly with water. - Din navigates new feelings regarding his creed, himself, and a certain Jedi.
pluck a heartstring, duck for cover by owlerie (Din Djarin/Luke Skywalker, Grogu, Canon Divergence, Mand'alor Din Djarin, POV Alternating, Touch-Starved Din Djarin, Slow Burn, Sparring as Flirting, Mature, 28k)
“He's a bit of a sex icon, your Mandalorian," says Leia over breakfast the next morning, nose buried in a sea of taxation reports. Luke promptly inhales caf three inches up his airway and doubles over hacking gracelessly. “I— wait— he's not my Mandalorian," he chokes out, to which Leia raises a single dubious, well-groomed eyebrow.
Heartfelt and Solemn
crystals in the current by @willowcrowned (Din Djarin/Luke Skywalker, Grogu, Romance, Family, Luke Skywalker's Jedi Temple, The Force, Teen, 22k)
Luke gets the message from the child in the early evening. It’s spring on Yavin, and the wind smells like the glowing purple blossoms that cluster in the corners of old rooms and spring up through the pavement. The air is heavy with twilight, the orange-violet of the sky creeping its way down, filtering through the new-leafed boughs and down to where he’s sitting under a tree. or Luke takes Grogu, but the sundering on the lightcruiser isn't an ending; it's a beginning.
Timshel by skywalkers (Din Djarin/Luke Skywalker, Grogu, Force Visions, Hurt/Comfort, Order 66 (Star Wars), Hurt/Comfort, Getting Together, Teen, 5k)
“I think there’s something I can do to help him. A technique I could try.” Luke says. “I could use your help.” “What do you need?” Din says. Anything, he thinks. Anything. “I think he would be more open to the process if you do it as well.” Luke’s eyes, keen and ever-blue, that have the impossible ability to find Din’s own behind his mask every time, meet his own. He looks unsure. It’s not something Din ever thought he’d ascribe to Luke Skywalker. “But the process can be...intense. I understand if you don’t want to do it.” Din flips it over in his mind for a moment, considering. He’s not exactly sure what Luke is asking of him. But what kind of an example would he be if he asked Grogu to do something he refused to? And, looking at Luke, how could Din refuse him anything? Not that he could ever say that. Din nods. “‘Course. Show him there’s nothing to be afraid of.”
resonance by pixie_rings (Din Djarin/Luke Skywalker, Grogu, Kyber Crystals, Planet Ilum, Gen, 10k)
Rebuilding a dying Order is never easy. While exploring the ruined planet Ilum, Grogu gets a calling, and Din and Luke reflect on their son growing up - with and without them.
the unbearable loneliness of distant stars by Liathejedi (Din Djarin/Luke Skywalker, Grogu, Emotional Hurt/Comfort, Falling in Love, Teen, 10k)
Din wonders when the Jedi became Skywalker, and when Skywalker became Luke, or when the lines between stranger and friend had blurred and left him standing in an unfamiliar ship, folding bare hands around a man he barely knew and feeling like his breath had been lost to the stars. A Jedi and a Mandalorian face down the ashes of the Empire and learn what it means to rebuild a broken people.
Mand'alor, The by scheidswrites (Din Djarin/Luke Skywalker, Angst with a Happy Ending, Character Study, Grogu, Bo-Katan Kryze, Gen, 3.5k)
They called him Mand’alor the Reclaimer, Mand’alor the Unifier. Some have started to call him Mand’alor the Vanished. The rumors run rampant that he is dead.

For the ask thing, Dinluke 💛💖🤎 pwease?
(I'm assuming you gave three options so I could choose one.)
💛 reunion kiss / relief
(Set in the same AU as Those Hands of Yours, That Count the Nights, but approximately two-and-a-half years later.)
Word spreads through the Hoth base like wildfire, hot enough to thaw the walls: they’ve been hailed by a Mandalorian ship. Everyone knows the Mandalorians are nominal allies, and everyone knows what happened to Mandalore a year ago. The fact one is taking refuge here is momentous, and they have the clearance. They’ve been let through.
A crowd has gathered in the hangar, dense enough that Luke has to politely but firmly elbow his way through to the front, to stand beside Leia and Han. Han looks sour, like he does most of the time at the moment. Leia has her arms folded, brows drawn.
“Well?” Luke asks, slightly breathless.
She gives him a small, sad look. “A woman hailed. She gave the right codes but…”
The intimation is unvoiced: don’t get your hopes up.
He tries not to, he really does, but he is made of hope, and always has been.
Like the clean stab of a vibroblade, the Kom’rk fighter/transport slides home into the hangar, coming to a crisp stop and easing off the turbolifts until she settles in a soft cloud of shifted ice crystals. Elegantly done with such a sizeable ship. Han pouts at it like it’s done him great personal wrong.
Even though his heart thuds in his chest, Luke tries to take a deep breath. It could be anyone on that ship: despite Mandalore’s fate, there are thousands of Mandalorians in the galaxy, and all of them are valued allies. He’ll be happy to see anyone who steps off it. All warriors are welcome, especially those of such renown as—
His feet move before he realises. He can sense him, after the horrid, sickening void he’s felt for two years. He catches himself with the Force before he can slip, and is halfway up the loading ramp before anyone has time to notice, to stop him. There is ringing silver in the Force, the most beautiful song in the galaxy.
He grabs the middle figure’s arms, unable to stop himself from breaking into a wide, joyous grin. Immediately a forest of blasters in on him, loaded and ready to fire.
“Din,” he breathes, aware of them but ignoring them. “You’re alive.”
“Luke?” Din chokes out, and a woman with a blue and white helmet gestures for the guards around them to lower their weapons with a roll of her helmet.
Distantly Luke hears Leia let out a sound of pure delight, but it barely registers. Ignoring the crowd, ignoring propriety, Luke surges up. Din meets him halfway, and it’s cold beskar to warm(ish) skin and hair, Luke’s eyes sliding closed.
He’d been on a low simmer of dread for two years, since they separated all that time ago, since they found out about Mandalore, with no inkling Din was actually safe. He’d tried to move on, to let go, but he couldn’t. Some small, perhaps foolish, fragment of hope remained in him.
It’s paid off.
They pull back, and Luke sags with relief. He doesn’t even know what to say. His emotions are in turmoil, and all he can do is stare as the familiar, beloved lines of Din’s helmet, and superimpose the holograph he’s stared at every night.
“Oh, I have good news,” Din says.
“What?”
Din steps slightly to the side, pressing something on his pauldron. A hoverpram floats forward.
“We’re fathers, now,” he says, and the hoverpram opens.

I’m not a huge sequels fan but this idea popped into my head lol… feel free to write this if any of you guys want!!!
Anyways, it’s another Modern AU with Dinluke raising Grogu and Rey, when they go to visit Leia’s part of the family for the summer. There’s a bit of taboo there, no one can ask about Cousin Ben, because he died when he was 18. This happened a few years before Rey was adopted, and now more years have passed and she is the same age as him.
They’re having a great time visiting when Rey runs into a boy, who happens to be the ghost of Ben Solo. He doesn’t remember how he died and he can’t move on. No one else can see him.
Ensues antics as Rey tries to figure out how her cousin died. Soon she is joined by her new friends Poe and Finn, who she is totally not trying to set up together. Ben ships it. Anyways, they don’t really believe her about the whole ghost thing at first, somehow Ben makes his presence known to them. Maybe they can see him or maybe he smacks them with a book flung off a shelf or something.
Everything of course leads to a lot of weird things, so feel free to discuss hahaha
How did Ben die?
Where are his old friends?
Why don’t Luke and Leia talk about it? Does it have something to do with their father they also don’t talk about?
Why can Grogu speak Latin?
Since when did Luke know about ghosts?
Since when did Leia carry around so much silver?

suuuuusssshhhhiiiiiiiii my love! Thank you for playing with me, and per our dm conversation you settled on the sex worker bobadinluke au series for the director's commentary ask game. Which is gonna be hard since you were there when I was writing it, I'm not sure what I can come up with that you wouldn't already know/vaguely recall, but I'll give it my best shot.
Right away, I'll say that everyone that knows me has dragged me at least once about my fic titles. I'm not great at coming up with them, and usually just pick something at random. At the time I was writing this series, I had this idea of grouping fics together with some very loose theme. Which is why my dinluke stuff mostly have a mando'a words as titles, the big BDL series are all lines from songs by Frank Sinatra, and this series has titles that are all songs from the 2000s. The songs have nothing to do with the fic, except that the one line I used for the title somewhat had something to do with the fic itself. Which I know drives @bronze-lorica crazy, lololol, and I'm sure she'd not alone.
This series started off as three prompt fills. Three people requested "sex worker" from a list of AUs but asked for different ships, and I decided to make my life easier by setting them all in the same, modern world. This series got me by the throat as I was writing, and I'd post a little more, only to be like "Oh! And another thing..." over and over, until there were 37k words of it.
I knew I didn't want to tell an angsty story with this one-- I love angst but I wasn't in the mood--so instead I went with the idea that Luke's a sex worker that's doing this as a means to an end, and is very clear about when the end will be. So, instead of seeing him hit rock bottom and let that be the motivation for the sex work, it's more transitory than that. This is only a moment in his life that we're seeing, and he's very clear about that.
His sex worker style I sort of based on the persona I take on in my client-facing/customer service jobs. Upbeat and patient. "You can trust me" and "We'll get through this together" vibes. And since I like my triads where everyone is a puzzle piece that fits in together, providing something for each person that's unique and different, it synced up nicely to make Din someone with a repressed/religious fanatic background. Luke's very open and non-judgemental, not to mention competent, energy is like Valium to Din. It lets him soften and be more willing to engage in a way that he doesn't really with his bristly husband. Boba's my gruff, blue collar man and when I hit on the idea of him dealing with chronic pain from an accident at a construction site (the Sarlacc building project, he fell into the pit, natch, and then after I decided that, I couldn't stop hearing Andy Dwyer singing "pit. I fell in it, the pit. You fell in it, the pit. We all were in that pit.") it made sense that Luke was able to help him if he was training to be a physical therapist. After that, it was all a matter of teasing those three connection points in different directions to see how the three of them could provide for each other in unique ways. That's really where the plot (such as it is) came from. Writing it was a really organic, natural process, which isn't normally the case for me. But, I guess, I started off knowing the characters in this incarnation really well (and with faaaaaaar more clarity than usual) so it was mostly a matter of seeing where that would take me.

Your Friendly Neighborhood DinLuke Fic Rec Masterpost*
*Plus some bonus genfic at the end that's too good not to include
For all you dinluke homies out there wanting a breath of fresh air or just a nostalgic reminder of what made you fall in love with the ship in the first place, or a handy starter guide for anyone new to the fandom, here's a by-no-means-exhaustively-comprehensive but still nicely thicc rec list. This is the Way...to some bitchin' good fic.
Under a read more because this is ridiculously long, sorry not sorry.
SOME EPIC CLASSICS
Gravity Well by shirozora (rated T)
Over twenty years after Chancellor Palpatine's failed takeover of the Galactic Republic, Jedi Knight Luke Skywalker-Naberrie is asked to join a diplomatic mission to Mandalore to help negotiate a trade agreement with the new Mand'alor. While he is assumed to join as an observer and mediator in these talks, his real mission is to investigate rumors that the Mand'alor's child is powerful in the Force and offer a future for the child within the Jedi Order. The already difficult task compounds when he keeps failing to gain an audience with the mysterious Mand'alor, but distraction comes in the form of a strange, faceless Mandalorian palace guard he keeps encountering at night, someone he keeps gravitating towards despite himself.
The Dangerous Dreams series by shirozora (rated T)
The future of Mandalore is in his hands, no matter what Din Djarin actually wants. While picking up jobs to pay off a new gunship, he runs into the Jedi again and learns that he too holds the future of his kind in his. In the shadow of a fallen empire and the light of a nascent republic, they begin to rebuild what was lost-- their peoples, their cultures, their histories, and each other. "To want something for yourself, that is a dangerous dream."
Currently consisting of The Storm, The Suns, Between Planets, and The Stars.
oh the things we left behind by furiosophie (rated M)
After he commits every single weapon in the hold to memory, Din finds himself cataloging more and more things about Skywalker instead, small observations that carve out a space in his mind unbidden. --- As much as Din likes to tell himself that he’s just been taking a well-deserved break, the truth is that for the six months following their daring rescue he’s been nothing but truly and utterly lost. That is until Luke Skywalker gives him a ship and hires him to help figure out what the hell the Empire needed the Child’s blood for. As they drift through the empty void of hyperspace, they slowly find unexpected companions in each other and realize their respective paths might not be as set as they once thought.
Also part of a series, oh the things that shine bright
The Wanderer and the Seer by aiden_ng (rated T)
Din Djarin is temporarily relieved of a single dad's responsibilities, only to be saddled with the much greater responsibilities of Mand'alor. Temporarily. Hopefully. This is not the story of a great man becoming king; it's the story of some dude finding his place in the galaxy, freedom, and personal happiness through having some goddamn decency and good manners. Also the power of love, or whatever.
The Father the Son and the Exile by Sushiburrito (rated M)
Luke Skywalker has vanished. Declared a missing person two years after the Battle for Endor, the unofficial bounty for Skywalker has become the largest ever recorded. Hundreds of hunters search the galaxy for his whereabouts; yet despite this, no one has managed to find Skywalker. No one, except a small Force sensitive child and his Mandalorian father. Or an alternate universe tale where Force visions warn Luke about Ben Solo several decades earlier but the consequences still force him to go on the run, this time directly into the path of Din Djarin.
The Broken Threads series by Sadie1902 (rated G and T)
The battle is over, the rebels have won. But Luke Skywalker is still reeling from his ordeal in the Emperor's throne room, both physically and emotionally. Wracked with pain and fatigue, he tries to recuperate on Endor with a few days of much-needed rest. But before he even has a chance to relax, he's captured by an enterprising bounty hunter in Mandalorian armor. Din Djarin can't believe his luck. It's the score of his life, the bounty they all said was impossible. The payout will set his Tribe up well... so long as they don't know exactly who he made a deal with. But the job turns out to be more than Din bargained for when his bounty collapses from mysterious injuries, and he must face the truth of the horrors the Empire has wrought. Now, on the run from half the galaxy, it's a race against time as Din helps Luke find a cure for the disease that's slowly breaking the hero apart. There's only one problem... they need a Jedi. And Luke is the last of his kind. Or is he?
Currently consisting of Broken Threads, Sister, Game Night on Bogano, Chasing the Dawn and The Starbird
No Glory in the West by leorizanzel (rated T)
Texas, 1870 - Din Djarin, a bounty hunter with a mysterious past and the quickest draw this side of the Mississippi, finds a new gig escorting a strange young man to his destination. Inspired by Casual Cowboy Friday and my love for the American West as a whole.
Also part of a series, The Lights of All The Western Stars, including Drive Me, Crazy (rated E)
The Once and Future King by leorizanzel (rated T)
“Din Djarin, the Once and Future King,” Luke declared, his voice somehow ringing through Din’s head rather than through his ears. It sounded as though another voice spoke over Luke’s own. This man was Luke Skywalker, and yet, was not. “You wield the Darksaber, won in honorable combat, as Kings of Mandalore before you. The Force commands you to seek the Child and save it from its doom, and in doing so, will save the galaxy and reunite your people under your banner. Do you accept your quest?” The Force delivers a dire prophecy to Din Djarin, demanding he take his rightful place as the king of his people. With the help of the last Jedi, he must gather his closest allies and prevent the worst to come.
Last of the Old Gods by angiebodies (rated E)
A chance meeting puts Luke Skywalker and Din Djarin back on the same path. As Din comes to terms with his obligations to Mandalore, Luke begins to question his own commitment to the Jedi Order. Together they learn that the truths of their creeds are mutable, but their faith in each other is absolute.
I Want a Moment to be Real by Purplesauris (rated E)
He wakes up cold, alone, and without a single memory to base himself off of besides his first name. Who is he, and why was he left for dead in an abandoned facility?
SOME SWEET SQUISHY SHIZ
The Vanishing Breed series by annathaema [moony] (rated T, M, and E)
The first thing Din noticed was the fire in the hearth. Near the hearth was a small, handmade crib, and from the crib came an excited cry. It spread through Din's chest like a bloodstain, perhaps it had in fact pierced his heart. He knew that little voice. “Hey, you,” said Din softly. He dropped to his knees as the Kid scrambled out of the crib and scampered to him, crawling into his lap and burbling happily. “That’s the most excited I’ve seen him in months,” said Skywalker. Din hadn’t even noticed him sitting across the room at a rough-hewn wooden table, nursing a cup of something. He wore the same carefully neutral expression he'd had on Gideon's ship, but his clothes were now desert-colored and hung loose around Skywalker's wiry frame. His hair was in disarray and it made him look much younger than he'd seemed on the ship; there, he'd seemed world-weary and ancient. Now, Din felt an insane need to protect. Skywalker raised his cup at Din in greeting, a lopsided smile on his face. “He’s missed you," he said. “Feeling’s mutual,” said Din gruffly. ___ The Mandalorian becomes Din Djarin. Din Djarin becomes. (Luke helps.)
Currently consisting of His Beacon, His Harbor, The Hidden Riches of Secret Places, and Interlude: Among All the Stones in the Sky
you're going to have to relocate the covert by aiden_ng (rated T)
‘This is the Way,’ Din says aloud to the empty cavern. He feels—or he seems to hear—his kin and his vanished forebears echoing the words back to him, ghosts in the walls around him, all the dead and the scattered and the not-forgotten. He walks with them, these watchful invisible companions, on the way of the Mandalore.
Sweater Weather by shirozora (rated T)
For two months, Din Djarin has been delivering the same order from the same restaurant to the same address every several days. The customer is a newcomer to Nevarro, a PhD student who seems out of place in the city but has become part of Din's everyday life. Then Luke changes their routine with a small gift and the uneventful, mundane life Din made for himself and his adopted son Grogu starts to unravel.
but home was a dream by redyucca (rated T)
Din takes off his helmet and learns how to put it back on. Which is, like, a metaphor.
Also part of a series, including keep the noiseless tenor of my way
And this, your beating heart by sluttysuperheroes (rated G)
After winning the Darksaber from Moff Gideon, Din accepts his role as the new leader of Mandalore and returns to the ancestral home of his people. While he grapples with the responsibilities that come with his new title, he begins to build a friendship with Grogu's new Jedi master -- and begins to question his identity, his Creed, and his place in the galaxy.
Dralshy'a Drabbles by HeadOn_HelmetOff (rated T)
dralshy'a: stronger, brighter Sometimes a Mandalorian bounty hunter just wants to be a side character while figuring out how to parent a tiny sorcerous gremlin, sometimes a bitch just wants to see him squished up against a tenderly chaotic Jedi.
I have made this place around you by HeadOn_HelmetOff (rated T)
“Do you know who you are, Din Djarin?” Survivor of Aq Vetina. Mandalorian. Bounty hunter. Apostate. Father. Mand’alor. “...No,” he uttered. Luke nodded sagely. “Then that’s what we’ll focus on first.”
Luminous Beings by Gluten_Full (rated T)
On their first night together, truly together without any beskar or Jedi robes between them, Din had promised that he would go to the far edges of the galaxy for Luke. They were old now, weather-worn and tired. The cold of Ahch-To hand long since sunk into their bones, making them achy before their time. When Luke senses a rising darkness in his padawan, he relocates his school to a more remote and ancient place in pursuit of balance.
That We Still Feel by actualbabe (rated G)
Luke gets hurt. Din takes care of him. It is incredibly simple and yet unfathomably intimate, and Luke realizes that he has never felt anything like this.
Restorative Work by draculard (rated G)
In which Luke plays therapist, Din faces his past, and Grogu learns that it's not always scary to face your traumatic memories when you have a friend there to help you get through. Based on that comic by ngrogu.
Five Days on Yavin by rinwins (rated G)
"He’d seen so many different versions of Luke by now -- implacable knight, patient teacher, fearless pilot, loyal friend; the Jedi master who could move a starfighter with his mind and the Tatooine farm boy who laughed at his own ridiculous jokes. And they were each, somehow, still the true Luke, none of them contradictory-- all except this version, the exhausted young man asleep in the bed. It didn’t suit him, the sense of having been through entirely too much." Luke crashes his ship, and his recovery has complications Din doesn't really understand.
A different kind of blood by HeadOn_HelmetOff (rated T)
A slight twist on events in Ch. 5 of The Book of Boba Fett: when Grogu is afflicted with visions of his father injured on Glavis, he and Luke make a decision that will greatly influence Din Djarin's journey toward redemption and reconciliation with the survivors of his covert.
HURTS SO GOOD (but not too much)
The By Fortune Or Its Re!verse series by CatalpaWaltz (rated E)
Luke imagines explaining this to him. The response he gets, when he spins the scene out to its inevitable conclusion, is not promising. The Mandalorian will tip his head downward, or cock it to one side, and settle deeper into an implacable stance. "Am I supposed to be flattered? To be some kind of experiment for you?" Or: Luke, struggling for insight into Jedi teachings on the renunciation of possessive love, discovers a possible solution in soft-domming the hell out of his boyfriend.
Currently consisting of By Fortune Or Its Reverse, So I Can Wait Behind, and The First Hour of the World
Thaw by spqr (rated T)
That’s what hope does to you, Luke remembers now. It lingers at the back of your mind, whispering maybe, maybe, so that knowing a plan is stupid isn’t enough to keep you from trying it.
down to a sunless sea by spqr (rated M)
Din's first scuba dive was when he was six, which is illegal in every country on earth that has laws about that sort of thing.
Christ in Repose by spqr (rated T)

La douleur exquise by HeadOn_HelmetOff (rated T)
Pain is a fine razor’s edge—too much robs your focus and strength, but a lack imparts no discipline or mettle. Pain can be as useful a teacher as it is a dreadful enemy. You’ll dodge faster from the next knife blade and blaster shot to avoid it. It can brand your memory like a bruise to press upon, invoking the raw resolve to finish a job or enact vengeance. Above all, it’s another fact of life he’s had to largely deal with alone. Sometimes his brethren in the covert treated him when he came limping home, moreso in earlier years. But this is usually as insular a practice as the rest of his rituals. Even after bonding with the kid and seeing his astonishing works, it’s not something he considers changing. His love for his son expects nothing from him; he’s not going to exploit Grogu’s abilities for his own benefit, not when he’s perfectly capable of handling himself. Somehow Din forgot to factor Luke into this equation.
SOME EXTRA FUN TIMES
The In Which Chaos Is The Primary Goal of Our Beloved Main Characters series by Oystering (rated G and T)
u/throwRAgroundrunner posted: AITA for sending my step-son to his father with my droid? Luke Skywalker is facing a moral dilemma after sending Grogu back to his father... so he turns to the holonet for help. (This is pure crack)
Currently consisting of Only the Force Can Judge Me, The Galactic Court of Moral Judgment, and What a Man(do) Gotta Do?
Mornings of Gold, Valentine Evenings by leorizanzel (rated T)
Figure skating champion Luke Skywalker meets Team USA Hockey Captain Din Djarin at the Winter Olympics, and it all goes downhill from there in the best way possible.
OR
He was a figure skater, he was a hockey player - can I make it any more obvious?
JUST SOME GOOD, GOOD SHIT
We Can't Keep Meeting Like This by celinamarniss (rated G)
Din, searching for a Jedi to train Grogu, finds two. (Five times Din crossed paths with Luke and Mara and one time he stayed for good.)
Bonus: cover art by lil old me. :D ;)
unstoppable force, immovable fathers by godbinder (rated E)
“I just need a refuel,” Luke tells the droids, carefully throwing his legs over the edge of the cockpit to slide to the ground. Grogu coos softly, his hands opening and closing his three fingers. “Not a problem, we’ll have you—ready to go...” She trails off when she gets a look at the child, who begins babbling. The Force moves around her in happiness then surprise, shock, then something akin to anger sparking faster than a thermal detonator. Before he can open his mouth, in a move that would have left Han impressed, she has a blaster in hand and shot him in the face.
buy a big house where we both could live by lacecat (rated M)
Din trails behind them and reminds himself this is temporary. He’ll make sure they get to the temple safe, and once he’s sure that Luke agrees to continue training Grogu, he’ll leave them. Grogu reaches up with his hand to tug at the edge of Luke’s shirt, and Din’s fingers flex at his sides. This is the way, he tells himself.
Nurse & Protect by BrownEyesBrightEyes (rated T)
Dr. Luke Skywalker is a pediatric resident struggling through his intern year, when a new child abuse patient case turns his life upside down. Now, along with his intern responsibilities, he has to deal with his growing attachment to the charming child, Grogu, and his assigned Mandalorian guardian, Din Djarin.
parry, parry, strike by AlchemyAlice (rated T)
“Oh? What are you, their king?” the Senator says sarcastically, and then freezes at the same time Din does. “...No,” Din says. He does not sound convincing.
BONUS NON-DINLUKE GENFIC SERIES THAT DESERVES A HECKING SHOUTOUT FOR BEING THAT AWESOME
The Mand'alor and the Jedi series by theunacknowledged (rated G and T)
A run-in on an Imperial ship between Mandalorians and New Republic pilots ends in violence and stalemate. Tensions are now heightened as several New Republic senators extend negotiations to the mysterious rule of Mandalore, a reformed planet isolated from the rest of the galaxy. Mand'alor Din Djarin and Duchess Bo-Katan Kryze begin defensive discussions with the Galactic Senate, opposed to becoming involved in any outside government after so recently reclaiming their home planet. As they aim to keep Din's identity confidential, the Mandalorians hunt the rest of the Empire in the Outer Rim and attempt to avoid the New Republic's domineering presence. But Senator Leia Organa isn't taking no for an answer with peace on the line. (Oh, and of course, the clan of two reunites.)
Seriously, can't rec this entire series enough, you're welcome. Currently consisting of Until Our Paths Cross, Mando'ad Draar Digu (A Mandalorian Never Forgets), Found, and Legends of the Outer Rim.

Dinluke fic recs
This list will include all ratings and tags, so read at your own discretion! :)
three rules (back straight, head forward) by queen_rowenas - Rated T
Leia is helpless to watch as Senator Almen continues on as though nothing is wrong. “Mand’alor, may I introduce you to Senator Organa’s brother, Jedi Master Luke Skywalker.” She can feel all of her hard work crumbling, whatever trust she had formed with the Mandalorians shattering before her as the Mand’alor slowly stands to his feet. Great, she thinks numbly, Another galactic war on my hands. (Leia Organa has never been one to back down from a challenge. Although advising the new Mand’alor in his introduction to the Senate and also trying to keep her Jedi brother from causing an intergalactic incident could prove to be a bigger challenge than expected.)
It Was Always You by subtlehysteria - Rated G
He’s strong, powerful, his footwork far better than just your average person who occasionally skates for fun. As if that wasn’t enough, Luke watches in shock and awe as the man executes a neat triple toe loop, landing near-flawlessly with only a slight wobble. He doesn’t even register what’s happening, just sprints down the last set of stairs and rams into the barrier, hands raised to cup over his mouth and help project his voice. “HEY, YOU!” The man falters, head snapping to Luke. A single thick brow rises in question. “DO YOU WANNA BE MY PARTNER?” Luke yells. * Or, the one where Luke needs a new ice dancing partner and Din just happens to be in the right place at the right time.
begging for you to take my hand by luminouskywhiner - Rated T
Cara could laugh, but Din knew one thing for certain. Luke Skywalker was utterly and unfairly beautiful, and the most captivating person Din had ever met. If only he could manage to get more than three words out around him without the tips of his ears burning. ~ Alternatively titled; Din Djarin is a socially awkward and sleep deprived single father who falls in love with the prettiest pre-k teacher in the galaxy.
I'd like to hang out with you for my whole life by coffeecatsme - Rated T
The first time Din touches his helmet to Luke’s forehead, it's by complete accident. Or, 5 times Luke doesn't know Din kisses him and 1 time he does.
Crystal Tears by Insomniac_with_dreams - Not Rated
“This is going to be awkward,” Luke sighs down at the baby in his arms. R2 beeps besides him and Luke nods in agreement. “Nothing to do but go back.” His X-Wing is almost completely dismantled, sparking where wires hang limply. There is no way he’s getting off of this cruiser until it’s repaired. There aren't even any escape pods on board all of the docking bays empty. He hadn’t anticipated this, and now he was going to have to walk back to the bridge with the baby and explain himself to a heartbroken Mandalorian.
The Weight of Words by subtlehysteria - Rated E
Dim blue eyes stare up at him. Hair that might once have been rich with colour hangs limp and brittle around a gaunt face. A face with a split lip and a fading bruise on one cheekbone. A face that is blank of all emotion and yet simultaneously screams help. No, he doesn’t see danger. He sees only a man trying to meld with the wall and make his body as small as possible while staring down Din with a glare so cold that it could cause anyone’s blood to turn to ice. The man is dressed in thread-bare prison garb that hangs off his slight frame like oversized drapery and around his wrists is a pair of complex-looking cuffs. They’re the same ones Grogu had been shackled with, cuffs that somehow diminished his powers. If this man bears them too could that mean… Din crouches, bringing himself down to the man’s level. “Are you a Jedi?” * In an alternate universe where the name Luke Skywalker has long since been lost, Din Djarin discovers an unexpected prisoner aboard Gideon's ship, finding not only a potential teacher for Grogu but also the man who will change his life, and his heart, for the better.
First Star I See Tonight by snapdragonpop007 - Rated T
“You’re bleeding,” Luke murmured. “I’m...maybe not fine.” Din conceded. Luke gently held his face between his hands while giving Din a very bright, very angry smile. “You think?” -- Or, Din is heavily concussed after that whole darktrooper thing, and it takes him a second to recognize his husband.
i give to you by treescape - Rated G
“They’re lovely,” Luke said, and if the pleasure in his voice seemed genuine, his brow furrowed slightly in consternation. Din shrugged uncomfortably, because what was he supposed to do—bring a gift for the kids and nothing for their teacher? Or, Din's been accidentally courting Luke.
Where There's a Will There's a Way by xiaq - Rated M
Luke walks straight to Din and Din suddenly feels like he should be doing something with his hands. “Hi,” he says. “Hi,” Luke agrees, grinning. “So. I didn’t get your name, before. Grogu just calls you ‘Daddy’ in his head but I’m assuming I should call you something else.” Din chokes a little. ***** This is basically an Accidental Warlord Din Djarin fic in which Din plays the role of reluctant DILF leader with a heart of gold and Luke plays the role of initially distrusted twink who quickly becomes beloved by all (especially said warlord). The Mandalorians are like, "we've only had Luke Skywalker for a day and a half but if anything happened to him I would kill everyone in this room and then myself."
The Way in the Sky by ShyOwl - Rated T
The man, the Jedi, the individual who had been so calm and detached just moments ago now tripped back out of the elevator, cloak tangling around his feet, with a panicked look on his young face, “I forgot to tell you where we’re going!”
Yoda’s Academy for Li’l Padawans by MissDinahDarling - Rated T
Being a new student is hard. Being a new student whilst your socially awkward father avoids the school at all costs and your new teacher pines uselessly over a man he’s never met before is even worse. But by god, Grogu is gonna get through this.
unstoppable force, immovable fathers by godbinder - Rated E
“I just need a refuel,” Luke tells the droids, carefully throwing his legs over the edge of the cockpit to slide to the ground. Grogu coos softly, his hands opening and closing his three fingers. “Not a problem, we’ll have you—ready to go...” She trails off when she gets a look at the child, who begins babbling. The Force moves around her in happiness then surprise, shock, then something akin to anger sparking faster than a thermal detonator. Before he can open his mouth, in a move that would have left Han impressed, she has a blaster in hand and shot him in the face.

As an autistic queer person, that’s kinda how I hc Luke. I think he’s sort of infantilised at times? Bc of the mile a minute talking and “huh? Oh! The uniform” thing. Where I see it as bad brain to mouth wiring etc. He’s obviously incredibly capable, and it’s weird seeing a queer relationship be turned heteronormative, it gives a lot of “Who’s the man and who’s the woman in the gay relationship.”
Idk he’s infantilised but also over-sexualised? He’s been smol-beanified for some reason and it doesn’t suit him - also being described as teeny tiny, so petit that a breath of wind could blow him away. When he’s 5’9 and buff?? My guy has a great set of arms in ESB, he’d have a mean punch
Idk I’m sick rn brain went for lunch and hasn’t come back
yes see your headcanon is perfectly fine, and i love that a lot. i headcanon him as adhd yk, because you’re right he does whine and he does talk fast etc etc. and yes he’s obviously very capable and strong. he’s built physically and mentally and he’s mature as well. he has a youthfulness that’s fun to explore but people forget that he’s a jedi and is in control of his emotions. he’s very mentally healthy, and he would NOT stutter after every word and act all stereotypically feminine. dinluke turned into a very heteronormative ship and it’s sad to see. and yes he’s very over-sexualized as well for reasons we all damn well know (cishet white women just wanna see a baby cinnamon roll twink get railed) and it’s frustrating.
and the problem is i LIKE feminine luke. i like it when he’s put in dresses and gets to wear nail polish and get’s to express his femininity and masculinity healthily. the way the dinluke fandom stereotypes him just as a femme gay man is really… yikes. luke in canon exhibits no forms of toxic masculinity and i LIKE that, it’s just the way the fandom handles it is upsetting.

Owllllll I’ve been out of the Dinluke fandom for 2 years and I’ve become interested in the ship again. Update me on what has happened in the fandom plsssss. Btw, I always remember your fic “What the stars let in.” I love iiiittttt.
Well hello and welcome back! :D always good to hear someone returning!
So, it's been a bit quiet. I'm still basically that tiktok meme of "what the fuck is this kid doing?" "THE VOICES" cause I am still so hyper-fixated on Dinluke and overly posting. Others are still providing glorious pieces of art and fanfics (though my reading has gone down...I really need to start reading more and writing less; cause my writing is suffering cause of that) but it's a little calmer now.
Everyone seems to have sort of found their little groups and are in their safe burrows to share their own dinluke loves and thoughts. There is a discord server called @stardads that is amazing (I can be too shy to poke in unless I'm called; but it really is great if you can join!)
I write some dark dinluke content here and there, always wanna warn cause that did cause some issues (not sure where the timeframe is with everything over 2-years, holy crap to think we've existed for so long) but I think was sort of resolved in a sense with everyone finding their friendship groups to chat and enjoy.
Did Imention art? Cause omg, there are some glorious art pieces.
Just quiet but still going very strong!
:D And thank you! I am so happy to hear you liked that fic!! For sure has a soft spot to me now

ty for the tag @thesunlikehoney !! <3
a band you don’t like that many others do:
the mountain goats lmao (i like a few of their songs but i dislike the rest)
a childhood memory that you remember vividly:
i have permanent nerve damage on my right kneecap from fucking up a mazurka (very basic figure skating step/half-jump kind of thing) and falling in such a manner that i bashed my knee into the ice w like 3x my body weight behind it in force lmao
least favorite animal and why:
lord. i dont really dislike any animals so i guess one i've had personal experience w? i will never ever want an akita (relative had a poodle-akita mix and dear god). they're like the less smart and more evil cousins of huskies.
hot fandom take:
satine and obi-wan would be 200% more interesting if they were some kind of fucked up non-romantic relationship. "i would have left the order for her" we all know the tcw writers just put there bc ppl wanted a blonde woman cardboard cutout love interest for white fans to project onto (as if romance is what "humanizes" characters, huge jerk-off pantomime). "this is duchess satine whom i have an intricately crafted and decades-old rivalry with to see who can pick up the most morosexuals in our personal entourages" the crowd goes wild. satine herself is 200% more interesting when writers allow her to stand on her own and not just as a prop to obi-wan. also ppl who ship obtine are missing out on the most illustrious joy of padme/satine.
do you wear any jewelry, if so, what’s your favorite piece:
yes, i have one ear pierced (default diamond stud; some of my fav earrings are from noonmade like the suncatcher and wind chime, most others r just whatever i've picked up over the years) and i'm almost always wearing a raven skull pendant i got for my bday from a friend :)
a movie others liked but you didn’t:
13 going on 30 ... clueless ... 10 reasons i hate about you ... i just don't have the romcom/chick flick spirit in me :(
three things you love about yourself:
typing speed, great core strength, big cat
a place you hope to visit in the future and why:
i would like to climb 설악산/seorak mountain, my mom grew up in that area and i like mountain climbing :)
an actor that gets on your nerves and why:
crisp rat. he's bad.
things you’re excited for in the nearby future?
설날 / lunar new year on feb 10 :)
least favorite ship in a fandom you’re in:
dinluke and obtine lmao though it's less a ship thing and more the certain Kind of people that do a specific Flavor of shipping that are unfortunately hugely prevalent in dinluke and (more recently) codywan :(( however like 85% of the obtine shippers ive interacted with are just white assholes lmao
what’s the most toxic fandom you’ve been in?
mcu/marvel comics graphics community on instagram. i will drop my phone in lava
list three things you find beautiful about life:
big cat, mellow post-rock, krylon workable fixatif
any dreams for the future?
finish my thesis babey
how are you really feeling today?
i need to do more wrist stretches

20 questions for fic writers
Tagged by @spicedrobot!
1. How many works do you have on AO3?
26!
2. What's your total A03 word count?
561,816
3. What fandoms do you write for?
Star Wars. I wrote OFMD and some Tolkien but I don't often stray outside my main.
4. What are your top five fics by kudos?
Curse of Hospitality, an OFMD Stede x Izzy fic about Stede taking care of Izzy while he's sick. I wrote it for the approximate one month I was into the show haha.
Found, a BobaDin fic where Boba is deaf. Actually one of the first fics I did for Star Wars!
Mand'alor Darasuum, a DinMaul longfic where Maul saves Grogu from Gideon instead of Luke. This is probably the fic I'm proudest of and enjoyed writing the most. :)
Stardust Legacies, a DinLuke fic that I'm always very close to deleting. I am glad I wrote it for a lot of reasons, but it needed way more work than it got and I don't have the energy nor desire to improve it. But hey, some people really like it.
Memories of Water, an ObiMaul longfic where they train Luke on Tatooine together. Super happy with this one.
5. Do you respond to comments? Why or why not?
I respond always. I just think it's good form. I'm also looking for community in the fandom, not just one-sided praise.
6. What's the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?
Fateful Absence, most likely. It's not really angsty? It's just not a happy ending. I'm not a whump person tbh.
7. What's the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?
Ferine Love Language! It's the sweetest ending more than the happiest I think, but it's the one that makes me happiest.
8. Do you get hate on fics?
Yes, on DinLuke fics, from DinLuke fans. Outright flames, weird/entitled comments, pestering for updates or bitching about creative choices. I stopped being interested in the pairing once I discovered TCW thankfully, because honestly it just wasn't a nice community.
9. Do you write smut? If so, what kind?
I do! But not often. I tend to write awkward sex. I think it's more fun to write about first times realistically.
10. Do you write crossovers? What's the craziest one you've written?
Nope!
11. Have you ever had a fic stolen?
Not that I'm aware of.
12. Have you ever had a fic translated?
Not for a long time. In my former fandoms I had some stuff translated into Chinese but that's all I remember.
13. Have you ever co-written a fic before?
Again, a long time ago. I would absolutely love to collaborate on Star Wars fics sometime though. :)
14. What's your all-time favorite ship?
Realistically, probably ObiMaul. But DarthFett is an extremely close second. They're both wonderful but in completely different ways.
15. What's the WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will?
An ObiMaul (or) JangObi dating sim. I wrote/coded probably 70k of it and it was good, but dating sims are obviously a bit more likely to get litigated against, among other things. I'd really love to do something with it, given that we had some great art for it, but I'm not sure how that will pan out.
16. What are your writing strengths?
Long stories. I feel like I'm good at pacing a story and bringing together plot threads into a cohesive ending.
17. What are your writing weaknesses?
SHORTER STORIES. I really struggle with oneshots. I've written quite a few but it always takes so much longer. I can sit on a oneshot for months and months before feeling like it's finished.
18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language for a fic?
I think it can be done well, but don't just stick stuff into google translate and hope for the best. I think using Mando'a words for texture, for instance, can be really good.
19. First fandom you wrote for?
Oh man. Silence of the Lambs, I think?
20. Favorite fic you've ever written?
Faith's Fetters. It's the only fic that I've really done a deep dive into the potential relationship between Vader and Maul. I think it's the most interesting fic I've written, too.

Skymandolo “you two deserve each other.” happy ending tho ;-;
Set in some fancy shamncy Naboo vacation villa. Rated M, established Dinluke and Skysolo, but they're trying to make it a thrupple, but Din and Han are being Din and Han about it.
[prompt list]
~
The vacation was supposed to be an opportunity for Han and Din to bond. So far, it was filled with awkward silences, a few nice drinks, and Luke's suggestion that they all take a romantic bath.
Han was surprised that Din had agreed to something like this at all, given that the man had only just let Han see his face. But, of course, Din was the first in the bath and under the bubbles, and he quickly pulled Luke in front of him as some sort of human modesty barrier. This left Han, champaign glass in hand, to sit in the soapy water on the other side of the extra large tub.
Luke seemed comfortable enough between Din's legs, his back resting against Din's chest, Din's face partially obscured in Luke's hair. Han made himself comfortable against the cold porcelain on the other side, his toes brushing Luke's calves and nothing else.
Naboo's champaign was good, at least, and when Han drained his glass rather quickly, Luke was happy to show off his space magic and bring the bottle closer to them.
Han handed it back over to Luke, who topped his and Din's glasses off. Din had to leave his hiding place behind Luke's head to effectively take a sip, giving Han a good view of his jaw and neck. Han had, maybe foolishly, hoped they have at least touched each other by now. But sharing a warm bath was the closest they could manage, apparently.
"How you feeling back there, Mando?" Han asked.
Din shrugged.
"This is a big step," Luke said. Han wasn't sure if it was to comfort Din or to warn Han to back off.
Han cleared his throat when no one said anything. "So, your group of Mandalorians never took the helmets off?"
That was the wrong question. Din's answer was a brief yes, but it was then followed by Luke's attempts to explain, and then by Din's interjections and corrections. Then, it was followed by Luke pivoting his body away from Han towards Din to explain some comparison to the old Jedi Order that he read about.
There wasn't a clock in the washroom, but based on the dwindling amount of booze in the bottle, they had been talking back and forth about hokey old religions for at least fifteen minutes.
"What about Han?" Din finally asked.
"Me? Oh, I don't have a religion or code of ethics," Han said.
Luke rolled his eyes. "He has ethics. You have ethics, Han."
"I have methods for keeping myself alive, and living with myself afterwards," Han clarified.
"Seems like a code to me," Din mumbled, pulling Luke back in front of him.
"Code shmode," Han said, climbing out of the tub. "You two deserve each other."
"Han, wait!" Luke said. He started to get up, but stopped when Han turned towards the water closet instead of the door back into their villa's living room.
"Just gotta pee, Kid, I'll be right back."
~
The two of them were already back to having deep philosophical conversations when he slipped back into the water, his head and body feeling a lot lighter now that the champaign was starting to do its job.
"This peace and love Jedi philosophy is great, but I remember the Jedi fighting an entire war not too long ago," Han said. "I've seen some decommissioned Jedi Star Fighters in my day. Much cooler than your X-Wing, Junior."
Luke splashed him. "At least my ship isn't some hunk of junk antique."
"That antique has saved your skin more times than we can count," Han said.
"None of those ships compare to a Razor Crest," Din said, "or a Clone War's era Naboo Star Fighter."
"Please!" Han said. "Any Corellian ship is better than some boring old Razor Crest."
"Careful, Solo. I still know a few bounty hunters who might be looking to collect," Din said. He was hiding again, but Han was sure he could see the faintest grin on his face.
Han leaned forward and found Luke's hands under the water. He pulled Luke forward just a little, enough to expose more of Din's body. "He hasn't told you that he would and has flown half way across the galaxy just to save me?" Han asked.
Din moved forward, pressing himself against Luke's back again, which pushed Luke closer into Han.
"Maybe he wouldn't save you this time," Din said.
"I doubt it. He loves me," Han said. He felt Luke lean his head on his shoulder. Han expected some kisses or some other erotic touch. Instead, he just got bit. "Hey!"
"I'm right here!" Luke said. "No need for the third person.
"No need for the biting," Han said.
"You like the biting," Luke said. Behind him, he heard Din hum, stowing the memory away for later. The bastard.
"Well, go on and tell him that you would rescue me if he let me get taken by bounty hunters," Han said.
Luke rolled his eyes. "He wouldn't let you get taken in the first place."
Han reached his hands around Luke's hips, grabbing his ass to pull him forward into his lap. As he did, he felt the backs of his hands graze Din's pubes and what might have been upper thigh and might have been something else. He chose to ignore it.
Luke wrapped his arms over Han's shoulders and tangled his hands in his hair, holding on as Han maneuvered them through the water. When the finally found a comfortable stillness, Luke started to lean in, as if he was going to kiss him, bu instead, he just rested his forehead against Han's. He'd seen him and Din do this a few times. It was a kind of stand-in for a kiss. But he didn't know what to make of it now.
"You gonna join us, Mando?" Han asked.
He heard the water move, and then Luke was pushed forward, just a little, util they were kissing the real way. Other sensitive parts met as well. Din was pressed up against Luke's back, teasing Luke's ass as Luke squirmed in Han's lap.
Luke broke the kiss when one of Din's fingers penetrated him and Han had started to stroke them both. "Are we sure we want to do this in the tub?" Luke asked.
For the first time all night, Din and Han made eye contact.
"Well, Din, where does your code say we should do this?" Han asked.
"This isn't in my code," Din said.
"Lucky for you then," Han said, slowly slipping out from under Luke and onto the ledge of the tub, "it's in mine."

HE BROKE CONTAINMENT jajajajajajajaaa ok tumblr won't let me include a link in the ask (wtf) but you can find my little offering to glorious dinluke nation, "Luke Skywalker Loves Sand," as the most recent post on my blog. Cheen rolls in for the last two sections :) :)
I read it! What a great pre-ANH fic. I esepcially enjoyed how you described life on Tatooine and the work that went into making the Space Honda Civic (RIP) a proper ship.
Poor Cheen. Wherever he goes, he will get no peace from Din, Luke, or both.
