Former Senator Dino Melaye has announced that he has filed a court action against the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila and the House over the infectious disease control bill.

The bill which is currently marred in controversy has passed through second reading and is due for a clause by clause consideration tomorrow during plenary.

The bill has been getting negative reactions from Nigerians on social media.

Dino made the announcement today via his twitter handle saying he filed a case at the Federal High Court, Abuja on what he described as “a wicked bill.”

Senator Dino Melaye on Friday announced that he has rejected the appointment as the Director-General of the Kogi State Governorship Campaign Council by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). The Senator representing Kogi West Senatorial district, Dino Melaye, has warned Nigerian Leaders to beware of violent revolution from the poor.

Senator Dino Melaye made this known today on his Twitter handle, @dino_melaye.

The Senator warned that an impending revolution may be looming in Nigeria. He reminded the leaders that similar revolution had  happened in the past in other countries like France, Russia and Sudan. According to Dino, such violent revolution “can happen in Nigeria”.

Dino, who did not exclude himself from the warning , said the housing segregation between the poor and the elite makes them vulnerable. He mentioned locations such as Ikoyi, Banana, Maitama, Asokoro and so on as places reserved for the rich.
