Tiana’s Place took a lot out of her at the beginning, she often felt was something was missing in her life and was tired more often than not.

She had a curse sitting on her back but she put a smile on her face and served everyone with happiness and good food. Nanami, a reserved office worker, stumbled upon her restaurant one late afternoon by the smell of the rich gumbo.

Tiana was an outgoing and warm person, but Nanami was an introvert to the max. He remained indifferent but noticed the curse. He wanted to say something but he thought it mustn’t have hurt as she didn’t seem tired at all.

Despite his initial coldness, Tiana is persistent and continued to engage and talk to him until his guarded front falls.

Eventually, Nanami began to open up, talking about his love for cafe hopping and going to good restaurants.

Tiana invites Nanami to join her in the kitchen to learn about her family's recipes, while leaning about her families recipes he decided to do something about her curse. He made up an excuse about a thank you and asked to massage her back as it looked tense.

She grew warm and turned around, nodding shyly. His skilled hands worked their magic, easing away the knots of stress that had built up over the day. Nanami told her to close her eyes. He got his weapon and cut down the curse with one fell swoop.

Tiana had never been so relaxed in her entire life. Eventually, they had spent so much time together that understood each other without a single word.

Their relationship blossomed, with Tiana's warmth and Nanami’s appreciation for her and her restaurant. Together, they eventually got married and he became a househusband for her.

I'm so so hesitant to ever talk about Disney in a non-x reader sense, because y'all may find out I'm actually dumb on this subject, BUT- Tiana and Dr Facilier are one of my favourite Disney Villain-Heroine relationships. Why? They're not sexual or romantic with eachother like a lot of other duos (Meg and Hades, Jasmine and Jafar, Belle and Gaston, Esmerelda and Frollo, Nala and Scar- I could go on), like at all. Dr Facilier does not look at Tiana like prey- he looks at her like a genuine threat. Naveen was nothing, a naïve young Prince. And Lawrence was even easier to use, full of spite and bitterness.

But Tiana was like him. She's tough and she's been living in the same real world as he has been. They may have literally grown up in the same neighbourhood. Its possible he knew of her father, he knows of her mother, and she may not know a whole lot about him but she's heard the rumours and she's seen him slinking around town (She might even have served him a couple times?? So they were actually f a m i l i a r with eachother???) and she knows not to fuck with him.

They get eachother. And I gobble it up XD

Just as she turned around to investigate, a portal opened before her, and out stepped Nanami Kento, a jujutsu sorcerer from another world. He looked bewildered, but his formal attire and stoic demeanor remained intact.

Tiana, never one to shy away from hospitality, offered him a friendly smile. "Well, sugar, looks like you've wandered into the wrong bayou. But don't you worry, you're welcome here. What can I do for you?"

Nanami adjusted his glasses and replied, "I seem to have found myself in an unfamiliar place. A colleague of mine made a miscalculation with his cursed object. While I'm here, I'd like to make myself useful. Is there something I can assist you with?"

Tiana chuckled at the notion of a jujutsu sorcerer helping her in the kitchen, but she decided to take him up on his offer. "Well, darlin', I could use a hand with these beignets. Care to give me a hand?"

Nanami, always precise and diligent, washed his hands and donned an apron. Tiana taught him the art of making beignets, explaining each step with enthusiasm. As they worked side by side, their conversation flowed effortlessly.

Tiana learned about Nanami's world of curses and sorcery, and Nanami was fascinated by Tiana's dedication to her dream of opening the finest restaurant in New Orleans. Despite their differences, they found common ground in their strong work ethic and determination.

Hours passed, and the beignets came out perfectly. Tiana wiped her hands on her apron and grinned at Nanami. "Well, sugar, you're a natural in the kitchen. You know, you ain't so bad for a sorcerer."

Nanami nodded, a rare smile gracing his usually stern face. "Likewise, Tiana. Your dedication to your craft is truly admirable."

As they enjoyed their freshly made beignets, Tiana and Nanami continued to chat, sharing stories of their worlds and dreams. Tiana found herself drawn to the mysterious sorcerer, and Nanami was charmed by Tiana's warmth and determination.

Eventually, it was time for Nanami to return to his own world, but not before promising to visit Tiana's restaurant whenever he found himself in New Orleans. They exchanged a heartfelt goodbye, and Tiana watched as the portal closed, leaving her kitchen in its quiet splendor.

Tiana went back to her cooking, her heart filled with a newfound appreciation for the unexpected connections life could bring. She knew that the memory of that day, and the beignets they had made together, would stay with her forever. And who knows, perhaps one day, she'd find herself in Nanami's world, experiencing new adventures and flavors together.
