For anyone who pretends to have tics or wants to have them:
Fuck you
I just had a tic attack, now my neck and shoulders hurt like hell and everyone in class thinks that I'm crazy attention seeker. I'm on a verge of breakdown. Tics no matter how severe are a horrible experience and I wouldn't wish they upon my worst enemy.
Just a PSA, I'm not diagnosed with tourettes , but my psychiatrist suspects, and even if it's not tourettes, it's a severe case of anxiety tics

Basically, my philosophy around disability fakers is: I would rather a thousand people fake a disability than have one disabled person suffer without care, aids, compassion, or any help.

Autism is only an invisible disability because you fuckers don't want to acknowledge that a good portion of those freaks, weirdos, creeps, and 'idk they just give me bad vibes' are autistic.

The professional opinion of an actual mental health professional on the so called “fakers” is that:
You cannot tell for sure if someone is faking it or not with a 30s TikTok video
People who probably don’t have DID, probably believe they do because they have some other kind of mental illness and need help not mockery
People who actually fake DID are coming from a place of pain and making fun of them is not helpful
Focusing on “fakers” does not help people with actual mental illness and in fact only promotes the stigma
In short, shut the fuck up and promote correct information without undermining strangers online

possible npd culture is talking about a diagnosis to your therapist and her agreeing you have a majority of symptoms but she says you dont manipulate people and thats her definition of npd so now you feel like a faker

"Endos are the reason psychiatrists think we're faking having a dissociative disorder."
Used to be it was bored housewives that "made" psychiatrists/psych professionals think people were faking. Then the Satanic Panic. Then the False Memory Syndrome people. Then it was the internet, with usenet and mailing groups. Then it was social media. Now it's endogenics.
In actuality, none of these things are actually responsible for psych professionals not taking people seriously.
Who IS responsible?
The damn psych professionals.
They'd rather blame societal factors than take people seriously and believe them. They're not doing their job right, and that falls squarely on them.
Not anyone or anything else.

The amount of posts I have seen over on r/fakedisordercringe that are just "well this person is faking because -literally a perfectly normal & completely possible part of the disorder-!!!" is fucking WILD to me Especially with how often I see people on there claim that the users of the subreddit are "mostly REAL disabled people tired of people faking their disorder"
Like girl if that's true why do so many people on there not seem to have done any sort of research on what normal symptoms of any of these disorders are? 💀

Questioning NPD culture is thinking "Man I feel like i'm faking it." and panicking slightly because what if you were faking some shit for attention and you aren't actually as egodivergent as you thought you were.

you can also immediately tell if theyre a faker or an enabler bc they say anything along the lines of "I'd rather 100s of fakers use medical resoirces than even 1 actually diagnosed person not get help" or "fakeclaiming is actually way more harmful than spreading misinformation and taking up resources." this goes for any single disorder but esp Dissociative ones.
they convienently forget that those hundreds of fakers ARE MAKING IT SO HUNDREDS OF ACTUAL VICTIMS GO WITHOUT HELP.
theyre making it so that HUNDREDS OF VICTIMS REFUSE TO SEEK A DIAGNOSIS BECAUSE OF THE MOCKERY YOURE MAKING OF IT.
that they make it so that HUNDREDS OF VICTIMS face even more stigma over a disorder that EVEN MEDICAL PROFESSIONALS DO NOT BELIEVE EXISTS.
****you*** are the reason this stigma exists. ****you**** are the reason resources for dissociation is so horrible and hard to find. ****you**** are the reason medical professionals dont believe we exist.
because of your entilted woe is always me bullshit.

Actually now that I think about it it is extremely shitty for people to say singlets can't support endos like. Do you understand that if everyone took that to heart you would be isolating people from most of the people in their lives?
For...what, existing differently?

Pretty convenient all these tic fakers and trans Tourette's people never have any painful tics or anything. It's always funny or cute ones that never seem to bother them

NPD adjacent culture is relating heavily to this blog and wanting to send in asks, so you try to do it as confidently as possible because you're so perfect and sure that you're not an egotypical!!! But secretly you are going to rigorously check if your ask gets posted because you're afraid you'll be vetted for not being a pwNPD, and you're going to keep track of the *exact* number of pwNPD who relate to your post so you feel validated, and you are going to be reading *every* tag to see if anyone DARES accuse you of being a faker. - 💫 viscera
