yeah, i agree. i honestly think before tommy was introduced again in 7x03 and the kiss in 7x04 that in my brain, bvddie was the most logical endgame for buck until it wasn’t.

i came into the show shipping bvddie much like a lot of new fans to the show but instead of hopping onto the tommy anti express hate train i found myself falling in love with buck and tommy together. at first i was still on board with bvddie still being endgame but as each episode aired after 7x04 i became faced with the reality of the situation (at least the way i see it) that bvddie might always be fanon and that’s ok because fandom keeps ships alive whether they’re canon or not. some of the biggest ships EVER are non-canon (i mean, cmon spirk? one of the OG MM ships?) so it didn’t really deter me from enjoying bvddie to this day. what HAS deterred me from interacting with bvddie content is toxic bvddies. i don’t like using the lil nicknames, idc if other ppl do, whatever, but i prefer just referring to certain kinds as just toxic plain and simple.

toxic shippers have made it difficult for anyone who multiships to interact with bvddie content. while there are incredibly nice & welcoming bvddie endgamers out there, it doesn’t overshadow the hateful ones in my online experience at least. i’ve blocked so many ppl over this ship discourse, which ive never had to do with any other fandom before the extent i have with 911. everyday i still find new ppl to block, you go under almost any comment section on the 911 insta and its filled with nasty comments abt tommy and only caring abt whether bvddie will be canon in s8. people projecting their hatred of tommy/lou onto the cast/crew of the show when it’s be said and proven time and time again that it’s quite the opposite. now im certain there’s bad apples in the bucktommy side as well, but from what ive seen online so far it is not nearly to the caliber of the bvddie side. ive blocked maybe a handful of bucktommy’s for being hateful towards eddie or being toxic overall, but ive probably blocked over 100+ toxic bvddies. i can only imagine it’d be worse if i was active on 911 twt which i’m not (thank god) but i have ventured into the tags before on there and let me tell you, it’s fucking horrifying how gross ppl are over there. twt is a cesspool for fandom anyways tho, the fucking asshole of fandom, it’s a septic tank really.

now im my own opinion which could be completely untrue of course, but just basing my thoughts on what i’ve seen online and interviews and such, tim seems to be really happy about bucktommy and idk how ppl believe otherwise. tim has expressed he loves LFJ and wanted him back on the show. tim showed up on set for the kiss scene. tim posting an entire youtube vibe abt bucktommy being soulmates that touches on the invisible string theory and explains how they accidentally found buck’s perfect match. tim sharing the deleted tommy scene is also huge but im waiting to see if he releases more (because i remember seen somewhere that he said there’d be more?) and if he does then great but it’s also still pretty telling to me after the whole karaoke fiasco.

oliver has said nothing but praises towards buck’s queer storyline. he quite literally said if you dont like it then watch something else. despite ppl saying he’s never interacted with bucktommy content online, that’s a lie because he has liked fanart of them.

aisha, kenneth & tracie have all expressed how they like tommy/lou and love working with him.

jlh said she loved bvddie before but is excited to see where buck and tommy go and then on an insta live said she doesn’t think bvddie is happening and was bombarded by toxic fans to the point of ending the live early.

ppl think it’s all some ruse to make it seem like bvddie is never happening so when it does happen it’s a “surprise” ……..

the nasty hate comments are doing nothing but exposing these types of ppl for who they are and that honestly to them, 911 is just the bvddie show to them. the people who run these social media accs for 911 are looking at these comments and cringing, they aren’t running to tim and abc being like “we must give these crazies what they want!” they’re mostly likely being ignored or honestly, as you said, being looked at and just reinforcing their decision to most likely make tommy buck’s endgame so as long as his schedule is open for filming.

what gets me the most about the hate these types of shippers spew online is how they aren’t embarrassed because they are so sooo convinced they will be right one day and therefore their insane, nasty behavior online will be justified. oliver stark literally left twt because of fans like this, people act like he was joking around, that he was shooting the shit probably because “he’s british and british people just have that kind of humor” which yes to a certain extent but let me just add these posts to set an example to why if oliver were still on twt he absolutely would not be happy with the way toxic bvddies are acting right now.

oliver (and ryan&other cast too) being positive abt bvddie never meant it was going to be canon of become canon one day. they do not decide these things, whether they believe it should or not. a lot of bvddie shippers come from previous fandoms where queerbaiting was there, where they were made fun of by actors of their ships, by the creators of the show! so i understand the frustration but oliver is not queerbaiting and buck is not a queerbait character when he quite literally is now confirmed bisexual and in a relationship with a man.

he’s just not the “correct” queer to these people. despite headcanons (hell even i hc eddie as queer!!) eddie so far, in canon, is not queer. by the end s7 he is still shown to not be over shannon and ruins his relationship with his son over this. ryan has stated in interviews he sees eddie as heterosexual, possibly pushing this because of the influx of ship discourse, and he’s glad to see a vulnerable and deep friendship that buck and eddie can have as a straight man and a queer man and how important he thinks it is.

every single thing that points to bvddie never going canon is like they’re being shot point blank in the chest. i get it, your ship not becoming canon sucks, but again, that is what fandom is for! shipping has never been about how canon smth is, there is 20k fics out there for bvddie and they aren’t canon. they can turn that into 40k, 100k, 1M if they really wanted to! instead they use their time and energy posting death threats, wishing death upon a gay character, bullying ppl online for enjoying a ship.

meanwhile from what ive seen bucktommys are rolling with goofy ass spy tommy theories created by antis and making jokes for our own fun.

so yes, i agree overall. they truly don’t deserve what they think they do. we didn’t whine and scream for a deleted scene. they did. we got ours without even expecting it and are having fun.

maybe if they behaved better i wouldn’t be so petty abt it. it’s a shame because of how much potential it has, unfortunately it is just not going that way atm. and even if it does one day, it is not because they paraded online with hate, it is because that’s the story tim and the others wanted to write and abc approved it.

Late, I know, but…! Only by two days, so I’ll still label/tag it:

Ichihime Week, Day 7: Mythical Lovers / Rainbow

I was planning on adding in magpies in the background this time, but I was getting lazy, and it’s already late, so maybe next time ^^;

(Also I was thinking of making a rainbow version, but it didn't come out as I would have liked? Idk. I still think it’s cute, though, so I put it under the cut)

Alrighty, listen: I really didn’t mean to wait this long to post. But, like, very shortly after Eid, my iPad’s storage filled up, like, to the point I couldn’t even access my mail (that’s how I found out, pfft). I was wondering why I’d ever need 256 GB 4 years ago… but still, it was $100 extra bucks. Sure, it was a grad gift, but 128 GB was expensive enough—still a lot of storage, too… Not enough, clearly!

Hoarding layers (and recoloring my own art, pfft) has really caught up to me… but also, it wouldn’t help too much if I didn’t either. After deleting what I could bear to part with, that took away around 5 GB, but merging layers in other works barely made a dent.

So I’ve spent these past few weeks wondering what to do, thinking about emailing my 2019 (imported from my 5s) and 2020 works to an email I also created 4 years ago for some reason I totally forgot about and never used so that I don’t end up taking any space in my actual one and then uploading them onto two (since I really don’t want my files corrupting) USBs via my laptop, trying to get those USBs from Target (but since I was adamant this time in getting 256 GB USBs—I don’t want to have to worry about storage for a longgggg time—there were none in stock), ordering them off of eBay instead since my dad insisted on their cheapness, waiting a week for them, then transferring them to that email and uploading them onto its Google drive if the files was too big…

But that was taking much too long and still left space on my iPad while I was doing it. I managed to complete the 2019 and 2020 pieces from my iPad, but it also only ended up being around 1 GB… So, like, I need to clear more years (breaks my heart, it does ;~; Sure, I still have access to them via that email and those USBs, but it’s not convenient anymore, and there are still pieces I plan on getting back to… ackkkkk).

Contemplating it some more and discussing it with a friend, much as I abhor subscription services, I finally decided to purchase a premium membership on Ibis for that 20 GB of cloud storage. I can afford the 30 bucks a year, and I like the app anyway—serves me good—and not having to watch an ad every 18 hours to access my go-to brushes would be nice, plus having access to the other stuff, but yeah: ✋🌈✨cloud storage✨🌈 🤚

Anyway, I’m pretty sure a good chunk of what’s taking up my space is actually the cache, as I’m already more than halfway through my drawings, and I’m not sure if I’ll reach that 75 GB of storage Ibis was apparently taking up with just my drawings. So I’ll probably need to download everything, then delete the app and redownload it ‘cause stupid IOS doesn’t let you easily clear it 🫠

Anyway, I really thought I’d be done by now, but am not—that said, I managed to clear out around 10 GB off of Ibis (not my iPad; I somehow managed to gain back 5?? Somewhere?? I’ve no clue; I don’t see it), which is wayyy more than enough to get one drawing done for IH week, so I paused the whole storage thing for now. I actually tried to get day one’s drawing done on the 6th, but I’m dealing with perspective that’s hurting my brain, so I decided to get day seven’s done instead, ‘cause I thought I’d be on time…

Me? On time? Man, who knew I was so funny… 😒

But yeah, day seven is done! I’ll definitely revisit that day one drawing in the future, but not anytime soon. As if I wasn’t backed up already, this whole storage mess has backlogged even further, and there are other dates coming up 😮‍💨 And, y’know, gotta finish the storage transfer, too… Ahhhhhhhhhh!

Anyway, on a more positive note, gradient maps are actually very neat to use—had a little too much fun, eheh. I won’t confess how much time I spent testing it out on this piece, but here be my favorite:

y’all can I be real with y’all for a minute (or atleasts, people who are still here)

when I joined tumblr, a LOT of people started interacting with me and my art, which was mainly OSC (object show community). But soon my OSC hyperfixation started being replaced by other ones and school and me wanting to focus on ocs and eeehhh. It feels like ever since I slowed down with the OSC stuff my moots who once interacted with me everyday have kinda just…. Left me alone.? I understand this might have something To do with me deleting a lot of my messages (which was mainly out of fear of my parents) and it’s kinda started taking a toll on me ig? Like I had abandonment issues before this but this?!!?!?! Damn. I know it’s probably none of y’all’s fault (it’s probably mainly mine). But uh even before that…. Any post that wasn’t OSC realstes never EVER got as much attention. It kinda contributed to me feeling inadequate ig? Like it I didn’t post these personified objects my friends won’t care anymore? But now I’ve put a focus on my personal lil guys (Wild! And that unnamed comic featuring Christian(ish?) mythology) and I was really excited thinking all my bestest buddies would be SUPER hyped about them. But eh..? None of y’all are really here anymore. Tbh. I miss you guys :(((( I miss y’all so much. I know life and school has been rough for a lot of you :( I’ve been distant. Oh I was referring to the conversation between him and Matthew in the trenches near the end of S2E1.

THOMAS: What would my mother say, me entertaining the future Earl of Grantham to tea?

MATTHEW: War has a way of distinguishing between the things that matter and the things that don’t.

I think this is the only scene where Thomas mentioned his mother on screen. I got the impression that he meant if she heard that her son was serving tea to a future Earl in such intimacy, she would be proud of him. The fact that past tense was used here could be because it was a hypothetical scenario (because his mother didn’t know this, and he didn’t plan to tell her in writing either), rather than because she was dead by that time.

So from my first watch I just thought his mother was still out there alive, but they didn’t really keep in touch. She didn’t care enough about her son, and Thomas had long given up on attempting to get her attention (even when he was about to die in the bloody war!).

Then I read about the S1E4 deleted scene later with this impression in mind and I just thought he talked about his mother as she used to be when he and his sibling(s) were children. Past tense was used again because he was talking about how things were in the past, that she merely attended to her children when they were ill while neglecting them at other times. She was not likely to do the same in 1913(?) when her children had all grown up (or so Thomas thought).

But now I think of it again and the use of past tense can also be explained by the simple fact that his mother is dead. Or should I say I was always confused, but I’m more inclined to believe she was still alive as it would be much more interesting. To think about how Thomas was perhaps distancing himself from his family (not just his father) quite actively by not contacting them, while imagining what they might think of him if they knew what he was doing now. It’s kind of like hedgehogs craving for warmth. He’s afraid to get too close to them and get hurt, but he wants their love so much it makes him miserable.

But again I am never sure about the state of Thomas’ mother. Perhaps it’s purposely made ambiguous because Julian Fellowes wasn’t sure when he wrote the script and wanted to leave it undecided for any future plot points. One thing I’m sure is that I should’ve paid more attention in English classes haha. But at least we discover that his mother could be an interesting topic to discuss too, who would have guessed? Please, tell me what you think :)

What a great illustration of how the fandom climate works, right? Hilarious.

We love first year Rook with first year Idia so much, Anon, you have no idea! And Rook/Idia in general, this is one of the things that I really want to draw properly at least once. For now we only have sketches…

But to answer your question! I like to think that Rook was very intrigued by Idia right away; of course Idia isn’t a beastman, but he is not only super bright and shiny-looking (unusual! Interesting!), but also is a very rare pokemon to see. It’s very easy to picture Rook getting excited and charmed by him, maybe he even had a period of a little obsession~ But of course none of this is in any way returned by Idia; to him being suddenly surrounded by so many loud and annoying people his age is already stressful enough, but Rook is somehow worse than all of them combined. He hates everyone from Savanaclaw, but they’re usually just rude jerks, but Rook? If only he was a rude jerk…

This is such a good question, Anon. It’s honestly still kind of easy to imagine him doing that. He punishes himself constantly, and while I don’t think this is necessarily about control, this absolutely could be about wanting to make himself feel even worse or to distract himself from the other kind of deep pain he’s feeling. Since we’re talking about a character here, as an artist I can also add that seeing him this way could be aesthetically pleasing, there are some very good artworks with this theme.

That being said, we usually tend to think that Idia wouldn’t do that. I agree that Idia being phobic of pain sounds very like him, but also? He is very detached from the physical side of things in general, I think. He would rather torment himself mentally.

Another reason for Idia and selfharm not really working in our heads is that I don’t think Ortho would let him. He is very sensitive to changes in his health condition after all.

Hiatus Announcement

Hello, friends and readers! I’ve been putting off (and re-writing lol) this post for a while, but am forcing myself to finally say that I’ll be going on hiatus for the foreseeable future. 

There are a lot of things which have led to this moment but mainly, I’m taking a step back to allow time for other ventures. That’s not to say I’ll be gone forever. As some of my long-time followers know, I’ve taken hiatuses before and they’ve varied in length. I still have ideas for fanfiction and hope to return in the future, fully refreshed. 

After posting my writing to this page for nearly seven years, a break feels honestly long overdue. I don’t have a timeline for when I’ll be back; I just plan to take things day by day. My blog will remain up in the meantime. I don’t plan on deleting or archiving any of my writing. I also plan to check in occasionally, so feel free to send me your messages and/or tag me in things! I’ll do my best to reblog content, but if the queue runs out occasionally, please forgive me! lol

More than anything though, please continue to support other writers and artists on this app and on others. Do more than simply like a post! Reblog, leave enthusiastic ramblings, send kind messages and uplifting words. Fandom creation only works as a community effort and shared experience. There’s no incentive other than the joy of sharing, so let someone know if their work brings you happiness!

I hope everyone stays happy, healthy and safe in my absence. See you soon, and best of luck in everything that you do!

Okay for the image above I was doing a “mock” warrior cat book. I miss the old covers but anyway

I kinda feel my art is…boring. I mean it just feels that way. Sometimes I feel I rush myself to get things done, and to be honest I hate having to rush myself. I look back at my recent post and they just fall FLAT. Flat as in the colors are just boring as heck. Lineart? I don’t really like. Not only that but everything feels so unpolished

My anatomy/details

I hate the fact I miss crucial details of my chat starts or even other people characters. I mean, HAVE YOU SEEN HOW I DONT EVEN ADD SILKY’s ANTLERS 99% of the time? That bothers me. And I see other people add them and I’m just “well damn I’m so lazy I can’t even add antlers on my own fucking character”.

Not to mention the poses. Everything feels so stiff with me. So dang stiff that you may as well call my art wood and use it as a support beam. I hate how I don’t use references for my art. Maybe If I used them more and actually took my time stuff wouldn't look like your average horrific Netflix Original cartoon of some movie.

Backgrounds/minor objects.

Do not get me started. I hate all of them. They look so low effort. I mean, I know I can do better with them! But it seems like I worry about the main characters so much. In fact, I feel the background just falls flat or blends in too much with the characters that it looks. Messy. If I draw a cup, i'll skip over details and it will look awful! Which isnt good, as it shows im lacking severly.

Time

And for time I rush. I feel like I have to literally push things out by day’s end and well…it affects my art. Lately o just been so focus on the hour and time it just makes the art suffer. Even if no one else sees it I do. I love my painted style, but it takes quite some time. And forgive me but I hate just doing sketches to and posting it. I prefer my art to be colored in and all the way. Now im not saying i dont like it when other people sketch. That would be a dick-head move of me.

Some days I fear if I don’t post or read inboxes everyone is going to think I purely abandoned them. I try to focus on my page. but just giving them a sketch at the end well...it makes me feel as if I just dissapointed them. I think to myself and say "I could have done better than that. Why did you even do that in the first place {Name}. "

I have like so much on my agenda and plans and then i realize I can’t do it all in one day. Hell sometimes I just make one day spefically on one subject.

If that day was animation day; I focus on an animatic.

If a certain day is art day and I want to set up my commission page (which is so messy I deleted it) then that’s the settled day. But I feel like I’m going so slow. It's like I am running out of time, and time is just passing by as I look at my clock.

And I'm not blaming anyone it's just my stupid head that makes me feel this way. I know no one is trying to rush me. But head is like "Oh but what if- and why not-". It bothers me. It clouds my vision and i don't realize in reality...no one is saying the things my brain is saying. Sometimes I feel like I'm bothering people when i draw their charcaters so much and tag them. I fear they just say 'Aw great it's this one person again."Sometimes I feel I need to be MORE original. And some days i feel i just need to give up entirely. Some days I think posting everyday will aggervate folks. Sometimes I envy the attention of others, and when I see what they gain or what following I have i look back at myself and say "Well maybe if you did this better than MAYBE you people will be interested in ya". And damn do i slam my head in a wall. Everyone just seems so happy, and yet here I am fretting over if this fucking dog I drew looks remotely interesting. And I just feel it...blends in. Like what is there so special about my art?

And for this blog, I don't know if I truly have an identity for myself. There's Silky, there is Minty and Syrup, there is Simon and there is Shrimpy. But who do they belong to? What roles do they even serve in this blog? I want them to be my identity. I don't want them being just some sort of character leech. They lack story, they lack purpose, they are thrown in tropes and gag. But what do they relate to? Nothing. Nothing at all. And yeah yeah I know im thinking to DEEP into this. But it's been on my mind so much. And hell call me crazy for talking about them if they are real, but they mean a lot to me. A LOT.

So I tried to make my art interesting here like, i tried referencing images space. I tried adding more anatomy to Snowy since I am tired of doing the usual standing up pose. I even wanted to make the background feel more detailed. I feel a bit better, but I still fear everything is too...eh...bland. Maybe it is just me.

Sorry for the ungodly word of text. I know I shouldn't vent here.

🐺How to use hashtags on tumblr to organize a story!

It was like paddling in an open sea .... Ok, it really took me 4 years to figure out the thing with the internal hashtags on Tumblr and realize that there is an advantageous sense in them initially only working within your own blog. If you don’t really need them, the benefit isn’t immediately obvious.

Plus, the display of the most commonly used hashtags leads you to assume they are more universally intended. The advantage of internal blog hashtags didn’t click for me - until the moment I actually needed them to bring order to my blog chaos and understood that you can easily sort everything with them, especially when it comes to storytelling.

I originally thought: “I'll make sideblogs for the stories, so I can have everything neatly gathered, with matching colors and background images." However, the hashtags from the main blog don’t work in the sideblogs anymore unless I link them and unless I’ve missed something again. Now I’m wondering if I even need the sideblogs anymore. Probably not. So, new plan:

I’ll post everything on my main blog

tag it with both specific and general tags

using intern unique tags for different supposes

and that’s pretty much it. At the top of a pinned post, I’ll provide an overview of what you can find under which hashtag, and they’ll automatically function as a sorter for an entire internal storyline. Done.

Btw, thanks for the right hints, which made me take a closer look, test things out, and understand how it works by answering my question on it here ...

@figure-it-out-later and @tenyrasims - which made me think about it and especially @satureja13 for the needed key to my head to unlock this blind point🥰. from @satureja13 : ... I just make sure to tag every post properly so I can add new stuff to my pinned post. You can also keep your pinned post clean by making sub posts, like I do for my chapters, for example. ... I can find every event, character, location… within seconds. That’s what I really love about tumblr.

So, what can I do now to satisfy my need for beeing over organization🙈? Technically, I could delete the sideblogs, but I can also use them in parallel, reblogging the respective content there, and thus have everything in a separate place, visually appealing with the story-appropriate colors - for my own peace of mind or for anyone who prefers to read there. But I’ll only reblog, not post the original, so following the sideblogs isn’t really necessary - though of course, you can if you prefer the color-coordinated layout there. If I ever decide it’s all too much, I can delete the sideblogs without losing my original content, as long as I only reblog from the mainblog to the sideblogs.

Is anyone still following? Probably not,😂 but I think this works for me.

Long story short: I’m going to rearrange things once more and adjust the pinned post accordingly... and bring any duplicate content back to the main blog. My old stuff from before the long break will stay here, and maybe I’ll update broken links if I ever get bored - not that I know the meaning of the word, lol. Otherwise, it’ll just stay as it is, since there’s barely anything left in my EA gallery, except for the stuff that can’t be deleted.

The contract or NDA being over don’t make sense to me and this is why.

He said that he took the footage on the 15 but only posted it later because he didn’t want fans flocking to where they were so he waited until he was sure enough time had passed and he knew that they would have been out of there before he posted the video.

I think the fact that he didn’t take the footage with his professional camera but just with his phone kinda shows that he really wasn’t expecting them and was probably tipped off like he claimed because wouldn’t he have been ready with his camera for clearer and better quality videos if he indeed had known about it well in advance?

I don’t know why people are saying he took off the highlights from his page because the contract and NDA are over. That’s obviously not the reason because if it was, he would have deleted the video from his page as well but he didn’t. I think he deleted the highlights because he was trying to do different layout for his highlights because the taennie video wasn’t the only video he deleted from his highlights. He deleted so many others videos he had there and now only has videos from this year of celebrities at fashion events and nothing else. He also said that many paparazzis out there don’t care much for kpop idols as they are mostly interested in the western artists and stars and seeing as his highlights are now filled only with those western stars, it makes sense.

I just think that the guy is speaking the truth because if it was supposed to be media play, why wasn’t he with his professional camera? Why would he take the videos on an iphone late a night? If the contract or NDA or whatever was over, why would he still be talking about it in interviews? He wouldn’t be allowed to talk about it at all and what’s stopping him from just saying that it was media play? Paparazzis don’t care if they come off as liars or not and just to be sure he wouldn’t ever reveal that it was media play he would have had to sign an NDA which will prohibit him from ever mentioning that it was media play so no, he wouldn’t just still be talking about it not to come off as a liar. And yes I know what NDA’s are but NDA’s usually don’t end especially not after only a year. If he signed an NDA, he wouldn’t be talking about Tae and Jennie outside of the contract he signed for the media play so it makes no sense to say the contract has ended and NDA ended too and that’s why he took off the highlights from his page. It’s just a whole lot of mental gymnastics going around to explain why two people were holding hands walking in Paris.

Well, an nda can be whatever they want it to be. There’s plenty of situations where an nda lasts for only a year or perhaps two. It’s basically whatever was negotiated. So it is possible that he wasn’t allowed to talk about this before but he is now. It’s possible he actually believes they were dating and it still being settled up. Paps are often called by celebs or their teams themselves. It’s not in their paps best interest to admit to things being planned and set up though.. they are unlikely to get hired again if they spill the truth and the public doesn’t like to hear that what they are seeing is fake. I don’t expect a pap to be sincere. Him mentioning that he got tipped of was a clear indication of this being planned to me. He tagged after Tae more often than this time.. so I definitely think he’s got some kind of connection there.

Him using an iphone could have been preplanned. Shady footage has its merits.

Someone mentioned that Blackpink get papped all the time in Paris. So I find it a bit odd that he would say there is no interest. He’s also very aware of where Jennie was supposed to be and how things usually work.

He changed parts of his initial story. That’s what makes him untrustworthy. He said he had permission to shoot from afar, and now it’s that they didn’t see him. Talking about not posting the footage for three days when other people were also filming them is weird… and coincidentally still everyone posted around the same time. Him not selling to Kmedia is just plain odd and the biggest red flag of him having already been paid imo.

If he did also take down other vids that changes how I see his instagram behavior though. Because that would fit in general behavior and not just about taennie.

All in all though.. no matter how you turn this.. it’s still a papwalk imo. Even if the man did accidentally catch them (I don’t think so) Tae and Jennie took no precautions whatsoever. Their teams would have been able to spot paps waiting, they would have seen fans around. They did nothing to prevent them from being filmed, instead they took their time to go from one place to another slowly.. allowing everyone time to catch them. The timing (just before Cannes), the clothing.. the whole team being there. This was not a private date caught unexpectedly.

How do yall deal with hate comments left on fics (especially your inc*st fics)??

I got a lot of them recently on ao3. I have comment moderation enabled, so they don’t automatically get posted. I deleted them all. I try not to fully read them. Once I read enough of a comment to understand it’s someone hating on my fic, I delete. It’s just jarring that I got so many at once. Maybe someone shared my fic? I’ve frankly read much spicier or even non-con fics, and mine only depicts entirely consensual stuff.

I understand hate comments happen to all fandoms. I think some self-appointed fandom police think they have control over fic writers, so they lash out in the way they know (often anonymously). I’ve only ever left positive comments on other people’s fics, and it takes a lot for me to want to comment. If I don’t like someone’s fic (reading tags helps filter out what I won’t like), being an ass in the comments is the last thing I’d do. Why do that when you can just close the page and move on?

I do suspect a lot of it is moral purity posturing. I know for a fact people have been writing and talking about inc*st since time immemorial. Heck, it’s in my native culture’s mythology and not always as a cautionary tale. Fans of modern series like GoT and HoTD aren’t clutching pearls over brother/sister, uncle/niece, or cousin pairings. They’re bloody shipping it en masse.

Anyways! You’re a lovely person. I hope this blog doesn’t get anon hate. I’d probably never send messages off anon because I’m super shy. I also won’t quit writing my fics. ❤️

I also can't understand why anyone would leave negative comments on someone's fic. If you don't like it, move on. It's simple.

I also wonder if your fic might have gotten shared in a community that for some reason had a disproportionate number of vocal antis. Or maybe it's the nature of the fandom you're writing for.

In general, I think the moral purity posturing you talk about doesn't happen too much on AO3.

Speaking from my personal experience, I have 30 works posted to my AO3 account, all except for 2 are non-canon ships I think, and many are for family-friendly movies and kids shows, and I don't think I have ever received a comment that criticized the fact that I was writing romantic incest. And I've never received a comment on that platform that I would characterize as hate.

I just wonder how you've had the worst luck about this. I'm so sorry!

Good for you for moderating. I think you can only keep doing what you're already doing, only read enough to see that it's negative, and then delete it. Don't read the rest of it. If you have a friend who knows about your incest writing/shipping, maybe they could moderate for you. Make sure your fics are tagged appropriately so that they can be filtered but I'm sure they probably already were. Unfortunately, I don't have any other advice.

But as always with antis, just remember that the best way to fight hate is to enjoy yourself and to continue to produce content, and that if they're attacking your fic, they're obviously in the wrong, which totally invalidates everything in their message. I don't know what their problem is, but they do have a problem. And it shouldn't be your problem, too. So you just got to let it slide right off and instantly forget it.

But I'm so glad you plan to keep writing!

3 - Boys Don’t Cry: the prequel to We Can Be Heroes. A prank fic mostly from Sirius Black’s POV (pre relationships).

4 - Maybe I Waited Too Long - a doctors!marauders AU with Wolfstar and Jily. I had a laugh writing this one.

5 - This Is The Way The World Ends - it’s heartbreaking and a canon divergent Wolfstar AU about Remus getting bad news…

I always usually do, it’s one of the main reasons I love writing fics!! Without the interaction I wouldn’t bother posting istg!! People can be so kind and generous 🥺❤️

Probably number 5 because it has MCD and apparently made people cry? But equally, I did write 3 short fics about 31st October 1981 from Jily, Sirius and Remus’ POV and that was pretty heartbreaking/ ugly crying stuff.

Most of my fics have happy endings it’s probably a toss-up between We Can Be Heroes and Have Yourself a Merry Little Wolfenoot

Nope! All mine are either T rated or fade to black

I’ve only ever written one, a LOTR/Marauders crossover, and I actually had great fun trying to write it in LOTR style? Wolfstar are Éowyn and Faramir. It’s called Ithilin and Silmë (only wrote it because @therealrjlupin wanted it 💙)

Not as far as I know!

I did! It was a Jily celebrity AU translated into Chinese that I thought wasn’t any good and have since deleted 😂😂!

Again, v hard to be objective aside from vague “it’s not great” stuff? I think it has improved with writing practice and with time.

I’ve done it in We Can Be Heroes - James speaks fluent Italian and Sirius speaks fluent French. As I can speak the languages it was ok, but I had to check with @constancezin to be sure the written French was ok!

A Little Risk is the favourite thing I’ve written but I’ve taken it down, so my favourite marauders fic I’ve written and is still up is We Can Be Heroes or This Is The Way The World Ends.

I am very much a hater of frans as well, i know a lot of people age frisk up and i GUESS that’s fine, but it just makes me uncomfortable because i’ll always think of them as a kid

and. a lot of people ship them as a kid unfortunately. i find it to be gross and uncomfortable.

that said… i’ve followed you a long time and love your stuff and just wanted to give some advice, you’re SO valid if you just want to ignore it, because you’re obviously allowed to do what you want, but i do think going into tags of things you don’t want to interact with is just generally not a good idea.

It brings stuff you don’t want to interact with to your blog, and i’ve learned the hard way in the past lol. It also, as much as we may dislike something, is just a bad look to invade tags to upset people generally. Even if it’s something we don’t agree with or like or are ok with. It’s basic fandom etiquette to just block the tags and move on…it saves worlds of stress and discomfort and fighting all around

And….the people who abide by that and block the Frans Tag (among other tags) won’t even see your post, meaning you aren’t even talking to like minded people, just opening doors for frans shippers to start fights.

I hadn’t even realized i didn’t have the ship tag blocked,which i intend to block now that i’ve seen that post haha, so i’m a way thanks for bringing that to my attention!

even If you don’t care about any of the rest of that, you should keep yourself safe and try to not tag things you don’t want to be affiliated with, but again i’m just a person on the internet and a concerned anon yapping, you’re valid to ignore it and do your thing💚

(as you can see, i’ve already responded to an ask similar to this one, so you can scroll down and read that since writing that all again would be rather tedious… BUT I DIDN’T WANNA JUST DELETE THIS ONE, THAT SEEMS RUDE?? 😭)

but i will mention that i don’t plan on making the same mistake, or responding in that way again. in the other ask, i said that my emotions definitely took a role in it and i will say now that they definitely shouldn’t have.

hello yttd fans. i really dislike making posts such as these, but i believe many of you do not realize how discourteous you're being and i would like to bring that to your attention for... well, everyone's sakes.

to preface, the your turn to die tags are intended for searching for fan content. this includes:

- fan art, writing, sculptures, knitting, etc. various art forms which feature some level of yttd theming - theories/speculation, commentary, etc. (likely accompanied by screenshots or official artwork) - headcanons, be it drawn or simply compiled in a post - aus/crossovers based upon the main game - edits - so on; just most things that draw from and extrapolate upon yttd, really.

+ ytts tags may have overlap in the yttd tag. this is understandable, as it as an offshoot of the main game.

this does not mean that every single post you make on yttd must be constructive -- i've certainly had times i only wanted to share a cute sketch nankidai made, with little additional commentary. but the difference here is what you choose to maintag, and how often you do so. there are some posts which, frankly, do not need to be maintagged. i'm not telling you to delete them, just not to spam the main tag with them.

many of the current 'daily' yttd blogs in particular have dismissed this. if you intend to post daily, you must realize that you will be interacting with the search tag incessantly. typically, i'd have no issue with this! i love seeing the yttd tag blow up, as it did with the minisodes, ytts, or the chapter updates! it was nice seeing everyone reinvolve themselves, if only briefly.

however, when the tag is overwhelmed by 'daily' blogs which are only ever posting official content that has been out for years -- that is when i take issue. people should not have to avoid the yttd tag simply because it's difficult to comb through for actual art and the like they're searching for; they shouldn't have to block another five blogs to make it useable.

you are overwriting many people's other posts, and with recent tumblr developments, sometimes the search tags have a limited amount of posts they will show - which applies even after you have blocked people. all you will find is a screenshot along the lines of this:

now, i understand that some people might not be sure what to share, in which case i'd ask you to sit on that before you begin posting on a blog that warrants daily interaction! in general, planning out exactly what you intend to post beforehand is probably a good idea: whether it's edits, headcanons, art, so on...! i'm sure there's something of your own you can showcase & add in your individual flair for your blogs! i don't intend to turn you away from the yttd tag entirely, but i know there's more unique you can add on your own instead of simply reposting the yttd game, one frame at a time... (an exaggeration, but i do hope you understand my point.)

- for example, if it's a case of you not being confident in your art, or feeling as if you need prompts to draw. here is some advice!!

{ confidence } - you should still practice! although it may be discouraging not having people reblog your art as often, it's nonetheless a step in the right direction! hell, i've seen some beginner artists who already show tons of potential: despite their insecurities about linework, they'd have amazing colors; or despite their colors feeling flat, they're slowly trying to hammer away at intriguing or symbolic composition. honing this is what's truly important, and i'm sure the right audience will eventually begin to recognize and appreciate the effort you've put into it.

{ prompts } - in this case, it may very well be fitting to make an introduction post asking for requests! but - if that doesn't work out, there's always option b) searching out prompt generators! or, finding lists of prompts somewhere on tumblr. there were many roleplayers who used to use these for writing, but you could still draw out the scenarios!

all in all, it's just important to find your niche! i don't have a good conclusion to this post. just please be mindful of not spamming the tag in this way. there are other ways to contribute/be known without frustrating other fans... thank you if you've read this post in full.
