Kafka is always hot. In every sense of the word. 

Even in the heart of winter, she is a source of endless heat when you join her on the couch after missions. With her mauve hair loose, she is the personification of temptation as she languidly motions for you to come closer. Once you’re within reach, her fingers slide like liquid over your nape, pull you flush against her, with your head resting on either her shoulder or her generous chest. 

She loves to talk low in your ear while she holds you like this, fingernails gently scratching at the base of your neck. Sometimes, she shares details about her missions. If she’s in a naughtier mood, however, expect the kinkiest things to fill your ears, until you’re blazing red. 

Black Swan feels like a cool spring. A calm oasis for you to rest in, for however long you wish. 

All you have to do is speak her name into the aether, and she will come to you, as soon as she is able. Be it after nightmares or long days, you always smile when you feel your bed dip with a familiar weight. Her graceful arms encircle your neck, guiding you onto her chest. If you’ve closed your eyes, overcome by the bliss, before you see her amused smile, then you will feel it on your skin when she kisses you. 

Hugging her is heavenly. Like you’re enveloped in a cloud. Soft, fresh, plush in all the right places. And as soon as she asks you how her ‘dear’ or ‘darling’ is faring, if you missed her, that is when you utterly melt.      

Acheron is steady and so very safe. 

It’s like nothing in the world can touch you while you’re with her. She’s not one to initiate long embraces first, hesitant due to her powers, but if the two of you are alone she will often cast you a longing look that speaks volumes of how badly she wants to be close to you. One she hopes you don’t catch, even though you always do.  

When she hugs you, her strong arms wrap around you like you are the most precious thing in the world. She likes to tuck her chin onto your shoulder, sometimes turn into your neck, breathing you in. Her body is firm from years of combat, but her skin is so soft to the touch. The corner of her lip always tugs upwards in amusement when you caress her abs (which is every chance you get).

Firefly is an absolute sweetheart. 

Do you want to hold her? She will stop whatever she is doing and immediately come over to you. More often than not, she ends up curled into your lap with her arms around your shoulders. Adores nuzzling into your neck and pressing her cheek against yours like a little kitten. If you kiss her jaw or temple, she will melt in your arms. 

Very sensitive. If your lips caress her neck, best believe she will make a sound and immediately turn tomato-red. No matter how long you’ve been together, flirting in this position will result in her cheeks growing hot. Which only makes you want to tease her that much more. 

Robin is always a delight to hug. Cosy and sweet and soft. 

She absolutely flushes at the smallest hint of PDA if other people are around, but she will not deny you ever. Behind closed doors is a different story though. The girl will come over to you and wrap her arms around you from behind, silently asking to be held because she’s often too shy to say it. If you toy with her hair, massage her back or nuzzle into her wings, she will shiver against you. 

Likes to trace small shapes on your skin with her fingertips when you’re cuddling. Will die inside and go to heaven if you do it to her first. If you simply lay together, relaxing, she may start humming a tune by your ear in her angelic voice. A privilege reserved for her one and only <3

Himeko is soothing in every way. The way she smells, the way she touches you, the way she makes you feel. 

She is gentle like the warmth of a fireplace after a long trudge through snow and she never gets tired of holding you. You don’t even have to ask. One look and she will know to come over and embrace you. If other members of your team are around, she establishes small points of contact, like an arm around your waist or a hand at the small of your back. Until you are alone, where she will fully guide you into her arms. 

Loves to gently massage your back or run her thumb in small circles between your shoulderblades. Always exhales a soft chuckle if you kiss her collarbone and tell her how good she feels. You are so comfortable when you sleep against her perfect body that you have trouble sleeping without. Not that she minds this one bit.

The sudden urge to write an au where:

Henry is a filmmaker attending his first award winning festival, where a sponsor shows up asking him to direct a new short movie with his "talented son", Alex.

He soon realizes Alex isn't, in fact, very good and seems like he's just a spoiled child with a rich dad, but he's good as a model, at least.

They manage to finish the project somehow, but, when the actors are asked for their socials to sponsor the short movie, Alex mistakenly shares his personal fan account instead.

Henry doesn't need more than 5 seconds to realize that Alex is the person behind the account that has followed him from the beginning, texted him encouraging words and, under his last post, declared he has a "real huge crush" on Henry Fox, his biggest role model.

Eren really is the definition of ‘doomed by the narrative.’ There really is no other way it could have ended. If Grisha hadn’t followed Kruger’s advice and gone to the Walls to start a new family, Eren wouldn’t have been born. Grisha only started a family inside of the walls to pass on the Attack & Founding Titan. If Grisha hadn’t passed on the power of the Titans Eren would have died in Trost. Even if Eren had run away with Mikasa he still would have died at the end of the thirteen years. Even if you consider ways in which the story itself could have been changed, (and these are just examples off the top of my head)

If the Scouts never assumed responsibility over Eren, the military probably would have experimented on him until they figured out how to kill him.

If Annie had succeeded in abducting Eren and taking him back to Marley, he would have been killed.

Same story if Reiner and Bertolt succeeded in abuducting Eren, he’s taken back to Marley and killed.

Same story if Rod Reiss succeeded in killing Eren to transfer his powers to Historia, albeit with a different ending for Paradis. 

Even Zeke, despite him caring for Eren, would have still brought him back to Marley to be killed because that’s what he believes Eldians’ fates are. (or he could have convinced the Marleyan military to keep Eren alive - I’m not too sure how much sway he’d have, and I’m not sure if the Marleyan government would be willing to take that risk - but either way at the end of the thirteen years Eren dies.)

And even if Paradis’ government had decided to cut their losses and transfer Eren’s powers to someone else, the two things all of these scenarios have in common is that the Rumbling would not have happened, but Eren still would have died. 

Eren was born to die. To never be free. His legacy is shackles.

However, I will say that the matter of death does vary. The only peaceful ending he could have had was with Mikasa, but even that is an ending, a final breath.

That's the point, though?

Don't get me wrong, I think everything that the special will adapt is fantastic, but dude.

The whole Armin punching Eren in the face was something I was actively looking foward to. It's not a lifechanging scene nor anything like that, they're not revealing the secrets of the universe, but it's important (at least to me).

For a bitch who has been acting like this cold and heartless ruler to start talking nonsense, only for his pacifist best friend to punch him in the face and then revealing his true colors that he has been hiding for so long.

Is the way he whines and cries about his "unrequited love" for Mikasa pathetic? Yes. Is it also every single thing he says about not wanting her to even think about any other man who isn't him? Absolutely. But guys, he's a nineteen year-old who's been dealing with all these feelings by himself while hiding behind this cruel façade only because he didn't want his loved ones' images to be afected by his actions. Because he knew that fighting fire with fire would only bring more pain, so he decided to do it alone. Because he considered that he could free his friends from their stigma by turning himself into a colective devil.

That punch to his face was what ended up destroying his mask and what brought Eren back. A reality punch, if you will.

If Eren looks pathetic in this scene is because he is. The words he uses and the expression he makes are so childlike and immature it reminds the reader that he's indeed a teenager. A teen who's allowing himself to break off from his façade and be human for the first time in a while.

Hello yes I absolutley adore Fluffy Ears!!!

For anyone who cares, Fluffy Ears is definitely a Hereford or Hereford cross. Which makes sense as they're generally more friendly than other beef breeds.

The rest of Malto herd only appears to contain a few Herefords though, I think the herd as a whole is mostly Limousins or Limousin crosses.

Both Limousins and Herefords can be polled or horned, with polled varieties being more common, but the Malto herd appears to be almost entirely horned. Fluffy Ears is too young to grown horns yet.

I also didn't spot a bull in the herd, which makes sense since Fluffy Ears is nearly a newborn, it'll probably be 3 months or so before the bull is turned out with the cows again.

An analysis of location in Never Let Me Go

Or, more specifically, Nuengdiao’s house

So I’m a bit of a nerd when it comes to different styles/eras of architecture, and this house was really interesting to me

Disclaimer: I’ve never studied this topic formally, I’m also from Europe, so whatever knowledge I have is based off observations I’ve made here, not in Thailand. I might be a little off in my estimations because of this, but I don’t think that would affect my overall point.

There’s a few features of this house that give me a very good idea of when it was built. Firstly, that specific shade of brown (while I’m aware it’s generally more popular in this region of Asia) was all the rage in the 70s. 

Combine that with the black pillars and what looks to be square glass on the upstairs there (I don’t know what it’s called, please tell me if you know because I can’t just keep calling it ‘square glass’) and this house is looking like it was built in the mid to late 70′s to me. 

There is, however, one feature that suggests it might be a bit later than that and that’s this black framed, tinted/reflective glass in this photo below:

But that would only push my estimate a couple years forward, it’s late 70s to early 80s at the latest. 

Of course it’s a nice house and undoubtedly very expensive, but if they were trying to convey that Neung’s family is rich, there’s lots of other more modern houses they could have chosen that would convey that idea just as well (if not better, considering the average age of the audience and what is most likely to resonate with them.) 

Even the inside of the house has an almost vintage feel. Again, I’m aware that certain styles and colour palettes are more common in Asia than Europe but I’m fairly sure this kitchen is old-timey the whole world over.

But this house conveys an idea that a more modern setting couldn’t. If my estimates are correct, this house is around the same age as Neung’s parents. There’s no way that’s a coincidence. 

Neung lives inside a house built by the generation before him. This house serves as a constant reminder that Neung lives within the confines of the space that was made for him by those who came before. There’s a successful business, a fancy house and considerable wealth, but none of it is really his. It was provided to him by the previous generation, with the expectation that he would take their place. 

That’s why a house of this age makes complete sense to use. It’s a perfect reflection of Neung’s inner feelings. He’s at least a generation removed from his family’s success, it belongs to another time and as a result, he is disillusioned with it. 

In short, he has had no part in creating life they have pre-determined for him, so it just doesn’t feel relevant to him.
