#don’t wanna call it villain squad au cuz there’s a lot more to this au than the villains

Master Kogha for my villain squad au! I headcanon that Kogha is immortal or can at least live for a long time. I’ve seen some concepts of Kogha as a Sheikah monk by other people and I LOVE that, it explains how he was able to live so long! This Kogha is the same from AOC, so the whole thing with the Yiga clan changed a lot. The Yiga clan originated from some of the Sheikah wanting to live freely without having to serve the royal family. I find it interesting how in skord, Impa says that the purpose of the Sheikah tribe was to serve Hylia, and possibly the whole royal family. So I imagine that after so many years, the Sheikah would not like that. Being pressured and told that your only purpose is to serve the royal family is very messed up if you ask me so the Yiga clan was meant to be a place for Sheikah to do whatever they want, and also a place for outsiders to be themselves. Of course they were heavily demonized cuz heaven forbid the Sheikah not want to serve the royal family, and it escalated to a dangerous cult. I think after AOC Kogha tried to loosen up on the whole cult thing and tried to bring the true purpose of the yiga clan back. So he’s kind of a mayor or president of a town where the Yiga use to be.

Now he still has the eye motif cuz he still doesn’t like the royal family and doesn’t really consider himself apart of the Sheikah. So he still has some of those vibes. But yeaaaah master Kogha! Not really on anyone’s side. Just kinda does his own thing. He’s chaotic and likes to make fun of the king to his face a lot (the king in this au is a pretty awful person so it’s well deserved)
