My cat, Ellie, is sick. She has a fever and she’s vomiting and while I’m making enough to cover her initial exam, she needs to get some tests and screenings done in order to figure out what’s wrong. I am going to have to heavily cut into my food budget and max out my credit card in order to pay for the tests.

Danny does that- just well, with the Zone. It’s not like it can be mapped out, what with people moving their Lairs and more lairs and islands constantly manifesting. And well, there’s so many things out here, and it’s not like he can be an astronaut.

So, he decided to make exploration logs for the Zone instead, alongside his friends and a doppelganger or two holding equipment. It’s great, and people can donate whenever he live streams so he’s getting income too. 

He just erm, maybe should have double checked it was uploaded to just his dimension…

Short DPXDC Prompts #1028

Martha Kent participates and donates to her local church bake sale. She bid on a few things expecting someone to bid more than her, but managed to be the highest bidder on a very strange loaf of pumpernickel bread. Later at home, she cuts a few slices to serve with supper, when she notices something is off about the bread. There are specks of green inside the bread. Usually she’d assume the specks as some odd type of mold, but these green specks are glowing. This looks like something within her son’s purview. She makes sure to bring it up in her next weekly call with Clark.

Donated blood today, and I'm still thinking about a fantasy world where blood magic isn't an Evil Dark Thing, but is instead just another kind of healing.

Or maybe it's both, to different people. This bandage on the crook of my elbow could mean a multitude of things.

   “Did you seriously have to choose ‘usernames’ for this?” Billy blinked in utter befuddlement at the words in the corner of his vision, even if he knew it was all in his head. All in his magic or something. It wasn’t like the wizard had exactly explained anything. 

   Several voices responded with far too much smugness or delight, save for Marvel. Actually- “Um, why is the cap’ labeled as moderator?” he knew he shouldn’t have told them about streaming and chats, he knew he shouldn’t have. “Hold up, why is my name showing up in… uh, chat?” 

   Well, at least it wasn’t his full name or something, because he had no idea if other magic users or telepaths could see it. The fact he could both hear and see the gods- even if half of them actually weren’t- was just another thing he’d get used to. 

   He’d gotten used to hearing Solomon after all, even if it took a solid week to stop jumping whenever they piped up. So it couldn’t be much different to get used to the rest and well, the Marvel that was pretty much the amalgamation of all the past users. 

  Oh no did this mean he counted as haunted? Would someone try to exorcize him? Oh no, he didn’t have to avoid everyone for the rest of his life, did he? That would suck, especially seeing as how he needed to get food somehow, even if it was through the trash-

 HeralKeys: I will give you temporary super strength in your mortal form if you punch one of those blue boys you don’t like

   Nevermind, he’d have to be a hermit because of the dead egging him on-

 IAMSPEED: Do it and I’ll give you my speed for the day, no questions :) 

   Billy… was probably going to regret this, but honestly Solomon was the only one protesting. If the marvels thought it was fine, then it’d be okay, right? Besides, what was the worst that could happen, someone catches a street kid using super speed on video?

Also known as where Billy can use the powers he has in Marvel form at different points because the divine twitch chat did the equivalent of a donation. $5? They can't do that, but what about 5 hours of Solomon's wisdom while he tries to figure out magic?

Hey whumpblr I know you love and worship writing-prompt-s but they joined the bandwagon on mass reporting Palestinian accounts

Get 90s-ghost’s name out of your mouth; he’s human, he might make mistakes, but from what’s been shared on @ el-shab-hussein’s account, the vetting process is intense and leaves little room for deception.

I feel like most of y’all only care about Palestine when the people suffering are faceless, perfect victims, so poor and stupid and in need of a white savior they can’t possibly have their own thoughts and inner world and technology. All they should be to you is like those inspiration porn Starving Kids In Africa™.

As if them using a website they don’t know about in a language they have to machine translate and whole ass begging for donations isn’t bad enough.

Yes, there are scammers profiting off of a real time tragedy, but guess what? Guess fucking what? It’s pretty easy to check for yourself if a fundraiser is legit.

Anyways! A PSA!

You can easily check asks and fundraisers in your inbox by checking for their social media accs, which should definitely be older than their tumblr, searching their usernames on here and seeing if others have called them out, checking for their names on Strawberry Seed Collective, Operation Olive Branch, and this document, and going through their tumblr account and looking for stuff like frequent updates and news that’s not just a couple of super popular Palestinian news posts to pad out the blog length, reverse searching any pics they send, and copy pasting some of their story to see if other accounts have used their script.

Or you could also just ignore the asks either way since nobody’s can force you to donate anyways.

But don’t go out and accuse every single Palestinian on tumblr of being part of some massive fucking scam circle a lá “The Jews Are Controlling The Rich” conspiracy.

frankly, the biggest scammer is this one woman from Belgium (her first name is Laura) so I’d be wary of any based in Belgium unless you can find any other way to prove its validity.

“You don’t have to leave!” Evan quickly tells him.  “You can stay here.  Borrow my toothbrush, raid my fridge.  I’m not, like, kicking you out.” He’s so frantic to correct himself sometimes — Evan’s smart and competent, Tommy sees that plenty, but he has this energy a bit like a puppy, too.  Just so earnest.  Genuinely interested to learn when he’s not sure what something means, rather than playing it off or pretending like most people would; always concerned with making sure people understand exactly what he means when he says something, tripping over himself to make sure he’s not misinterpreted, that he won’t upset anyone.  It’s genuine.  He’s so genuine, all the time, that Tommy thinks it must be painful. “Evan,” Tommy says.  Even he can hear the way his voice has gone fond at the edges.  Tommy tries to be tougher than that, normally — remain a sensible distance removed from emotion, because it’s gotten him hurt before.  But with Evan, it’s impossible to pretend.  He finds himself wanting to be as earnest as Evan is, when they’re together.
