because it just so happens to be a 13th on a friday- to clear things up before i get started, im unfortunately not taking requests for slashers TToTT at least not yet, i might if my rot comes back though side note jason was such a comfort character last year i kinda miss him but im not quite ready to part with my current hyperfixiation heres to hoping writing this doesnt end that rot short

torn between giving him a soft n sweet partner and a partner whos tough and independent (but still loving, of course); because i can truly see him being interested in both. perhaps a caring s/o who can take the initiative is what would work for him. maybe thats because i read so many fics/hcs where jason in a domestic setting is like. trying to be a soft stereotypical house husband though

which he totally would be imo, like sure he's not perfect but you can tell his intentions when hes insisting to clean up the cabin for you

if this is before zombie jason he is so so so fucking warm, best cuddle buddy; post zombie hes cold, though :(

speaking of cuddling hes a cuddle bug, and generally craves loads of physical and verbal affection. now will he outwardly ask? not in the beginning i think, far too shy about it and he doesnt know the best way to ask thanks to his inexperience

"oooooh what if you hold his face and give it kisses" i think, but in the beginning i dont think he would even let you anywhere near his face; and if you're short enough, no where near his head. if this is something you want to do youre going to have to be slow, steady, and reassuring with him. its likely you wont even see his face for years after the relationship is begun unless an accident happens and his mask slips and/or breaks

only knows how to make basic bare bones meals but if you were to teach him and have a means to getting ingredients he's going to be soaking up that information and hes going to be like an eager puppy when you offer to teach him

You enter your house, sluggishly placing your bag on the sofa's cushion. You're exhausted from working for so many hours, wanting to crash and fall asleep. But you couldn't rest, not yet at least.

"Donnie! I'm home!" You call out from the entryway, heading towards the kitchen. A muffled noise sounded from the room, excited and happy. You open the door and walk in. The sight of your husband's back greets you, the figure of his shell distorting the flow of his clothing. "Donnie~"

You wrap your arms around his waist, resting your head on his body. You watch his hand stir a pot, seemingly filled with Bok Choy soup, his specialty. "Darling! You're...home. I'm making...my favourite...soup." He turns slightly to give you a peck, his greeting to you.

"I'm gonna go sleep for a bit ok? I'm tired from all the work I had to do today." You rub his shoulder, trying to get his full attention. He churrs, pausing his cooking to firmly hug you.

"Tired? You sleep?" He questions, his broken English adorably trying to communicate with you. You nod your head, giving him a peck on the cheek.

"Wake me up when dinner's ready." You lazily release yourself from his embrace, now going to the bedroom.

To your surprise, Donnie's eyes stare back at you, observing your movements. He brings you closer to him, gluing the two of you together. "Something wrong? You were...shifting around...a bit." His hand caressing your back.

His body was cold in comparison to yours, a soothing feeling to your unbearably scorching skin. You nuzzle into him, relaxing in his arms. "I think I'm sick..." You state, closing your eyes once more.

"Sick?" A series of clicks come from him, expressing his worry. He bumps his snout to your head, still concerned. "You should...stay home...I can take...care of...you." He notices you don't understand, so thinks about what the English phrase would be. "Take care, you."

You smile and don't answer, too tired to respond. It would be nice to take a day off and have your husband's attention constantly. He can't get sick since he's a zombie, so you could cuddle him all you want.

Yes, tomorrow will be a day of snuggles and internal suffering.

4. When scared, does your OC fight, flee, freeze or fawn?

andrew: i think with him it very much depends on what the thing scaring him IS. if it's dangerous he's gonna flee. if it's scary because he can't understand it, he'd freeze if he's scared but someone he cares about is also under threat, he'd fight. that kinda thing

ace: he flees or fawns. every time. just depends. or like attempts to fawn, it doesnt work, so he flees. he's a wimp and a coward who only has his silver-tongue as a weapon, so. i think if it was really bad though, he'd freeze. because it's unlike him, he always has Something to react with. delicious

6. How easily could your OC be convinced to do something that goes against their moral compass?

andrew: it would be very hard. he's a Good Boy. something/one dear to him would have to be threatened because even if it was just him, he'd just take that bullet (or whatever it was) rather than do what they're trying to make him do though? if he has someone who he's wrapped around the finger of, it'd be a smidge easier. i mean julian had him ruining people's lives lowkey sometimes, but it was fine because he just didn't think about it and it made julian happy

so yeah it depends on WHO is trying to make him do it or just the situation in general but overall? id say its tough and requires specific requirements to be met, the most important being: if he does do this, it's not so black & white Bad. if it's black & white bad or good he's gonna dig his heels in the dirt harder

ace: just give him money. for real. he'll do almost anything for a certain price. otherwise, just threaten to kill him. he'll LITERALLY do anything then. he likes his life too much. however when he becomes close to andrew, all that becomes...less effective because he wants to do right BY andrew <3 or really anyone that managed to worm their way past all his walls and into his heart that's like..a generally good person

10. What's an AU that would be interesting to explore with your OC?

for ace hmmm...really just anything that puts him against the wall. really pushes him without quite breaking him. sooo i guess any AU that brings a lot more danger into the equation. because in any AU that's chill or pleasant the interest comes from him being a fucking Clown (both because he can be funny and because his interpersonal issues make a lot of melodrama)

but i personally love seeing how many pieces i can break him into until he stops trying to put himself back together. i don't want him to reach that point because that's boring, but i like pushing it. like i made him so happy and his life so perfect literally so i could ruin it in his...well initial canon universe...

17. What is the worst thing you have put your OC through story-wise?

andrew: hmmm...julian i guess typically. but moreso because i haven't officially plotted the zombie apocalypse story aka his canon. so i might come up with even worse (better) things to put him through :)

for both: there was one time in an AU where i had a demon possess ace and basically was intentionally trying to ruin his life (namely his relationship with andrew) and that was awful for both of them <3 (this was prior to cult au and probably lowkey inspired it i think)

ace: CANONLY...well in the supernatural/horror story i don't fully know yet because i'm still plotting but in cult au...i think the whole thing is probably the worst thing i've put him through for Now. he hides it but he's absolutely miserable and going Through It at all times. losing his self, his agency, and worse is everyone loves that for him

ms. tomcat [she/her] - Catman Wizard Big Naturals. accidentally cursed herself into being a furry and just rolls with it. maybe immortal and maybe god? got mr. mary out of a bad situation and now theyre partners in pretty much every sense of the word. currently experimenting with reanimation magic.

doctor al [he/him but he doesnt care] - shadow guy in a prison jumpsuit and glasses who has been trapped in a room for ages. has a vulture motif except instead of bodies its old tech. objectum + in love w r0-bert, his laptop. also has a thing going w a robot named commander

michael [any] - godawful leader of the angels * in my story and overall an awful person. obsessed w perfection and rules with an iron fist.

flight [any] - a fledgeling [lowest-ranked] angel who should, by all means, be higher up in the status quo, but is Weird among angels, which lands them in some hot water, plenty of gossip abt them, and later leads to them falling. gives themself their name afterwards as fledgeling angels arent allowed to have names

also unnamed [any] - a cherubim that is possibly flights like, only friend until they fall. when flight falls, theyre tasked with hunting them down. they are unable to kill flight or bring them to michael and, knowing they will fall for their insolence, sacrifice themself to flight and allow flight to keep their body. ***

* not a literal angel. they just adopted the term. semi-robotic magical amalgamations obsessed with the idea of purity who are generally a little awful and nitpicky to even each other.

their ranks go from fledgeling -> virtues -> powers -> cherubim + seraphim -> the archangel [michael] [did you know archangels are, in christian lore, actually the second lowest in the ranks? (its okay it makes sense here if theres inaccuracies)]

** again, not a literal demon. theyre not really very seperate from angels except that they dont have their halo [usually]. demons are more of a... subculture, i guess? a collective of fallen angels who have adapted the general concept of demons to band together against angels, making their own faction. they suck a bit but far less than angels do

so! so. you See. this is all about my boy artyom (ZT001-058) and his dr volkov. i was gonna caption this "my father's love is suffocating me". for you see . dr volkov. he works at the facility, yes? and ohohho, hes not a father in simply a metaphorical way. NO hes his biological loser! the facility doesnt know that dr volkov is artymos dad - after artyom was born it was Immediatly known that he was a mutant. his mom died during childbirth. volkov thoguht "oh god, i lost my beloved, i cant lose my son too..." and basically went "No!!! NOT my fucking kid." n because they werent married. he just. refused to take a dna test. so they didnt have any proof. anyway, being a scientist at the facility, volkov becomes zt's primary caretaker. if the only way to see his son grow is to vivisect him each and every month, then so be it. if he has to electrocute him, tear his teeth out, take out part of his brain, he will do it. he can't lose any more. was also considering captioning this with a verse from polednice (noonday witch) by karel jaromír erben. the one i felt was most fitting was this one:

‘Give that child here!’ ‘Lord, forgive this sinner’s sins, my Saviour dear!’ It’s a wonder she still lives, For see—the Noonday Witch is here!

and i will soooo happily explain why. "Give that child here!" - the facility taking Artyom as soon as he was born due to his mutation, pretty clear "Lord, forgive this sinner's sins, my Saviour dear!" - volkov begging them not to think of him as a mutant so much, the 'sinner' and 'sin' being 'mutant' and 'mutation'. "Lord, forgive this mutant's wrong, my Saviour dear!" its like. this line sticks out to me so much to volkov. "Lord, forgive him, he was born a sinner, he is bound to sin!" its just!!! gah!! he's still calling the facility "saviour" though - they're the only reason he's able to see his son every day, after all. 'Its a wonder she still lives,' - this is an artyom mutation moment! he's a zombie, sorta, his heartbeat sucks so fucking much. his heart is so weak. hes like a zombie in the way that he eepy. its a wonder he hasnt succombed to his mutation yet. 'For see - the noonday witch is here!' - so, the 'she' in the previous line was about the noonday witch, but i dont care lol. this could be the facility again. this i interpret either as temnova, but shes not rlly involved w artyom !! so its like. "Its a wonder (baby Artyom) still lives, for see - the (Facility) is here!" . its a wonder neither the facility or mutation have killed him yet

Anyway. Another thing is how the poem ends. Basically, if you dont want to read it, its about a mother, her baby (its like 1 year old tops) and the noonday witch. the mother is cooking lunch, the baby is wailing. she cannot get it to calm down. the lunch is burning. she pokes her head out the window - 'Come for him, you Noonday Witch, then! Come and take this pest for me!’ - and she comes. when the mother sees her, she goes oh Fuck - either she didnt think she'd rlly come for a baby, or she thought the noonday witch wasnt real. either way, the noonday witch advances torwards the baby. the mother rushes to it and holds it so tight in a protective embrace. she holds it so so tight, as much as she can, desperate not to let the noonday witch take it from her. then, it turns 12:01.

Child clasped to her breast, he found, Lying in a faint, the mother; He could hardly bring her round, But the little one was – smothered.

She suffocated it with her tight embrace. With her love! isnt that so fucking cool?? so awesmoe??? 'my mothers love is suffocating me' it sure is buddy!!!! anyway this is very volkov-artyomcore.. 'oh, because volkov does horrible things to artyom like all the scientists?' i hear you ask. hehe. no! ill let you in on a secret. you see, the thing that ends up killing artyom is neither his mutation nor the facility:)

it’s been so long since i posted something on this account. so much has changed and happened. i had a baby and i got married to the person i never thought i would actually get to marry. i moved back into the country and am now working somewhere else. my mom and i are talking again. my grandma is coming to visit in a couple of months and my bestfriend from work is my babys godfather. 

i dont think i was meant for this parenting life. at least not yet. i understand that i should have been more careful but i never expected to actually get pregnant. the doctor told me i might not be able to. so i took her words heavy and honestly just began to stop caring about protection and thought me getting pregnant would be a miracle. if this had happened maybe 5 years from now i definitely would have been more prepared and would probably be a better parent. i see all these moms on tiktok and it looks like they have their entire lives put together perfectly. i want to have that life. to not be so mentally ill that I have to lie to stay out of psychwards and not risk losing my job over something i cant control. it is such a burden at times. today i was just in complete depressed slump. i was walking around like a zombie because i didnt want to get out of bed. my doctor said my postpartum depression is adding on to the depression i had before birth. i am on the maximum dosage of my medication. if this doesnt help me i dont know what will. the mood swings are still there but theyre much more intense nowadays. i dont know how to get it under control. i feel like i am just slowly losing my ind and one day i will lose it completely. i just hope my child is out of the house so they dont have to see it. i feel bad for my husband because he tries to be so patient but sometimes i feel like too much. my mother in law says that anytime im feeling bad about myself that its not really me. it’s demons attempting to bring me down and ultimately destroy me. part of me believes that but i never really was one to follow religion. she also brought up admitting myself voluntarily to an inpatient clinic. i really did think about it because now i barely know what the day is most of the time. i just want to lay in bed until i waste away. hopefully me going back to work and getting back on a schedule will help me but i highly doubt that it will. my therapist asked if i would like to quit my job. i told her i would but that i cant because i get a steady paycheck and have no other way to pay for college when i decide to go. i feel so bad for thinking this way but i really am having a hard time seeing the bright side of things. my head is constantly plagued with thoughts of my husband cheating on me, leaving me, or regretting his decision to marry me. he tells me all the time that he doesn’t think those things and he doesn’t regret marrying me. I just don’t know why i have such a hard time believing him and honestly i feel like a really shitty partner for even having the slightest thought of him doing so. he never once talked to another female in a flirting manner even when we were trying to build a relationship. i understand my worries stem from watching how my parents relationship ended. that really fucked up my views on love. but now i am trying to create a healthy space for my child to grow up in. i hope i succeed.

(If i may overwhelm you or anything just say so, i sometimes dont understand the limits of being too annoying)

So. Hehm. I got covid. And. I was sick for a few weeks but then yesterday it became very, very bad(i presume because of stress and overexaustion, as well as due to not taking care of myself properly..) to the point of not being able to hold a bottle. I felt kinda horrible, but until night that was only the start. I could only lay in bed, overheated, and ended up falling asleep midday and having hallucinations/nightmares at night. I woke up in tears after a supposedly silly goofy dream(caine×kinger (i just knew they were a couple) arguing, well, more like kinger being very, very mad for some reason and caine looking at him with his pathetic sad eyes while trying to argue back/explain himself. Also there was zooble looking all smug at The Camera like in Office in a way only an asshole weedsmoker would do, all relaxed. Oh also it was a Zombie Apocalypse au and kinger just had a big booty for no reason) and hyperventilating, it was horrifying for some reason(maybe because i love the guys... royalteeth<3). I was Very Delirious.(i am a bit better after finally being taken seriously and given medication after

“Look what I nabbed, Cap’n.”

Gunner Taehyung’s grinning with all teeth, a golden chain wrapped around his fingers that’s so shiny it’s blinding with the sunlight. Hoseok’s intrigued and flips the locket in his hand. It’s heavy with a wild rose engraved on the front and once he pops it open, there’s a faded painted portrait of a young woman inside.

“It’s a booty, eh? Caught if off milady right over ‘ere.”

Hoseok hums and narrows his eyes on the wrench tied in rope sitting amongst the captives. Your face is dirtied, hair drawn in a bun at your crown but with many strands fallen around your face. Your gown rat’s coloured, dull gray. You are entirely unremarkable. Like any other peasant.

But it’s not often captives have something of value on them.

“Bring her to my cabin.”

“Aye, aye.”

The ship sets sail again. Taehyung keeps the captives quiet with the threat of throwing them overboard while the cabin boy Jungkook swabs the poop deck. Helmsman Seokjin mans the helm with navigator Namjoon by his side. The ship’s heading to dock at Port Galigeo to get a pretty penny for all the loot and treasures they’ve gotten after four months’ voyage.

Once steep waters are reached and everything’s been taken care of, Hoseok resumes to his cabin. There, he finds you, sitting in the corner on the floorboards with tears in your eyes. You gasp as he enters and shuts the door.

“Please! Spare me!” you beg sorrowfully. “Let me go!”

“Why should I?” Hoseok tosses his hat onto his table and his coat to his rickety chair. You look so frightful, even when he’s still in his drawers and shirt, held together by the red sash.

He fiddles with the many golden rings across his fingers, a habit since he began his adventures, and he comes over to you. Hoseok’s boots are heavy against the floorboards, and he crouches down to meet your trembling eyes.

“I-I am just a peasant,” you sob. “I have nothing to give to you! My father is merely a farmer.”

“Oh? Then what be this here?” Hoseok dangles the priceless locket in front of you as the corner of his lip curls. It catches the light from the tiny window of the cabin and the gold gleams against your eyes, practically sparkling like a jewel. 

Your eyes flicker from it to him, hiccuping and frame quivering like a damn leaf. “It’s my grandmother’s. She left it for me before she passed.”

Hoseok hums a low note. “An’ if this be your grandmother’s, how she pay for such a treasure? Unless she been a thief.”

Your downcast head shakes. “I don’t know, I don’t know.”

He pops the locket open before taking a good look at it. “This here be a portrait of you, isn’t it? You look different. Lavish. Like a noble’s daughter.”

“T-That isn’t me.”

“Then who?”

“I don’t know.” 

There’s something rather pretty in the way tears drip down your cheeks, so soft and gentle like jewels of their own right. But Hoseok has seen many women, children and men cry. It’s nothing astonishing.

Hoseok smirks, a rush of air leaving his nose. “I’ve been cap’n of this ship for nearly a decade, dearest. I’ve held treasures you could only dream of, been in battles that nearly lost my leg, sailed ‘cross the seven seas with me mates. I know when a wrench lies.”

His eyes are narrowed in on yours. And Hoseok comes closer, hand lifting to grab a hold of your chin. But before he can, before he can blink or breathe — suddenly, you brandish a piece of glass against his exposed neck. 

The ropes around you clatter to the ground. Hoseok feels the sharp edge of the glass digging into his skin, a moment away from nicking him and drawing blood. But more notably, your eyes are aflame. Your expression is dark and you’re scowling at him. 

Gone is the fragile little girl weeping for mercy.

“Don’t come closer,” you warn in a low voice without a single tremble.

He leans back, but his gaze stays on yours. “You reckon you could kill me?”

“I wouldn’t hesitate.”

Hoseok’s mouth curls, grin stretching into his cheek. His interest is piqued. He knew there was more to you beneath the surface, and he’s happy you haven’t disappointed.

His hand latches onto your wrist to force your hand away. It's a battle of strength. One that he ultimately wins as the piece of glass goes clattering on the ground out of your reach. He sees it’s part of a broken bottle. But Hoseok’s much too put off guard and when your leg kicks out at him, he’s smacked square in the chin.

He grips it as he lands on his ass, sharply exhaling. But then he bursts into chuckles.

“You got some mean spirit in you, sweetheart.”

Unfortunately for you, Hoseok has far too much experience in combat and capture. Even if you try to kick, strike and even bite him, it’s not too difficult to get you tied into ropes again. Except this time, he makes sure to use his special knots and get you so wound up, no sharp edge could free you. 

“Let me go, bastard!”

“Settle down. You’re only gettin’ yourself riled.” Hoseok crouches in front of you again and comes to wipe away the stray tear on your cheek with the pad of his thumb. You angrily scowl at him, chest rising and falling. Crying won’t get you far now, not when he knows they’re just crocodile tears. “Don’t get yourself worried about someone hurtin’ you. Everyone on this ship swears by our code, me included.”

You scoff. “As if I’d trust a pirate.”

Hoseok smirks. “If I wanted to hurt you, I would’ve done so already. It isn’t pleasin’ for me to force a girl like yourself either. Not when I have plenty o’ gold to play with a wrench at the dock. Now I suggest you behave or my Quartermaster’ll throw you overboard.”

“Then do it!” you shout at him with your entire body, only to flop over to the floorboards.

He grips the knob of the door and looks over his shoulder. “No. You’re too much of a treasure, sweetheart.”

The sun is falling over the horizon when Namjoon approaches. “Everything go well with the girl?”

Hoseok hums and turns with a glint in his eye. “Tell all hands to keep her separate.”

Port Galigeo is reached within two days time. The waters are calm without storms and the stars are clear at night. The sailing is smooth and so the docks are reached faster than ever before.

The men aboard are eager to sell the loot, to spend a few days ashore, spend nights at the brothel and replenish the rum. As follows, their steps are quick and they move the crates of jewels and tools to the harbour. Seokjin also takes care of the captives, leading them in a straight line off the gangplank to be sold.

“Cap’n! What ‘bout the beauty ‘ere.” Taehyung points to you.

Hoseok meets your eyes and you’re seething, glaring back at him. The corner of his mouth curls in amusement.

“Leave her. Tell the lad to watch over her till we return.” He points to Jungkook and Taehyung nods with an ‘aye, aye’. 

Most of his crewmen take care of business, getting as much gold for the loot as possible. But Hoseok fiddles with your pendant in hand and heads to a jeweler. Said jeweler is an old man who quivers upon seeing him, Namjoon and Seokjin in his shop. He hides behind his table and cries, “Please! Spare me! Take what you must!”

Hoseok sighs. He doesn’t know why everyone thinks so badly of him. Maybe because he’s a pirate and he and his crew have pillaged countless. That’s fair, he supposes.

“Stop yer quivering,” Seokjin spews out, leaning against his table. “We need you to look at somethin’. Hurry before I steal your silver!”

Hoseok lifts your golden locket, letting it dangle from his hand. 

The old man eventually slinks out when he realizes they won’t do anything, and he takes out his magnifying glass. He motions for him to bring it forward and Hoseok does. The old man hums, studying the locket before flipping it over in his hand. His thumb brushes against the wild rose engraving.

“Where did you get this from?” he asks.

“Don’t matter,” Namjoon says curtly. 

Hoseok studies the man’s face and leans closer. “What is it?”

“It is a very valuable locket. I happen to recognize this symbol as well. It is the emblem of the Crochetta Kingdom.” He pops the locket open to the portrait of the young woman and looks up at Hoseok, clearing his throat. “I believe this locket belongs to the youngest princess of that kingdom. The runaway.”

Hoseok’s brow cocks.

The three of them leave in a hurry. 

Seokjin’s eyes are glazed as his mouth starts to spew how Lady Luck is truly on their side, how they’ll be able to get their hands on a high ransom or sell you for countless riches. Namjoon is perplexed at how a princess like you managed to get here when Crochetta was countries away.

But Hoseok remains quiet. He doesn’t plan to trade you. He doesn’t ask questions.

He is entirely and wholly intrigued. Like never before.

“Blimey, the ship!” There’s a shout at the docks and Hoseok is torn from his thoughts. Taehyung has his hands in the air, cursing aloud. And Hoseok’s eyes trail from him to his ship that’s off the dock and disappearing over the horizon. “It’s sailing away!”

Seokjin is aghast. “How?!”

“Who’s still on?!” Hoseok shouts, looking around the dock to all his shocked men and their mouths drawn open big enough to catch flies.

“That girl,” Namjoon says, looking at the captain.

Hoseok tied you tightly, he made sure of it. Unless you freed yourself again. But it’s not possible that you lifted the anchor. 

No. You must’ve cut the rope.

“Where’s Jungkook?”

At the same time, there’s a high-pitched shriek in the distance. All of the men are held to their spots on the docks as they watch a tiny figure in the horizon get pushed off the ship’s deck and then plopped into the waters. 

There’s a loud splash.

You stole the ship.

Hoseok is quiet when his men turn to him. They don’t dare utter a single word, far too afraid their captain is boiling with anger. But what frightens them far more is when Hoseok suddenly bursts out into chortling laughter.

He laughs and grins as he watches his ship sail into the distance.

You were truly a treasure hard to find. He knew it when he saw you.

And now, he’ll just have to catch you again.

UNTIL this 14 year old boy, masa, thousands of years later shows up in the woods and is like "who are you. do you know where my sister is."

etiel hasnt seen anyone for a WHILE so theyre like "uh,,, unfortunately, no, i have not...... i could help u look?" and they find out that this kids only family was his sister so after like a month of seeing etiel every day to look for his sister hes like "ur a good parent. please let me live with u in the woods."

etiel is Very Worried and explains that they look very scary and the orphanage wouldnt want him to live with them In The Woods. masa decides hes just gonna run away anyway and etiel realizes they have to get an apartment and money so their new son can be happy and a few years pass and masa becomes a detective specifically to find his sister :):)

in regards to their personality theyre Very smart but have a hard time communicating and they get flustered Really easily,, they speak in a very strange and formal way?? but they also have a tendency to shut people out and not take care of themself cuz of the people they lived with when they were very young

and jiang cheng.  being the tough love uncle . having raised the yunmeng jiang clan from the rubble all alone, his whole family dead, some of it on the blame of his own brother, his siblings, his closest friends gone.......and only jin ling there needing his guidance. 

THE PARALLEL BETWEEN JIN LING BEING A LIFELINE FOR JIANG CHENG AND A-YUAN FOR LAN WANGJI AFTER THE BATTLE AT THE NIGHTLESS CITY

and like . the fact! that lwj and jc dislike each other!!. jc projects blame onto him for wwx both “leaving” him and indirectly causing their families deaths and when hes so consumed by it he makes wwx an enemy, lwj is there now? trying to protect him?? and lwj, who can never understand the pain that wwx , indirectly or not put jc through, but who was right there when jc tried to kill him and will never allow him to hurt wwx again. and how they like. in a way project blame of their tragedies onto each other while dealing with some type of survivor guilt and in their own way still loving wwx through it all???  amd in way its kind of fundamentally selfish but also tragically understandable? and like when u put it against the fact that after he disappears during the sunshot campaign they were looking for him together and fought together??

JUST. THE CHARACTERS. AND THE RELATIONSHIPS IN THIS. MAN. UGH. GOD. 

and like i think thats what makes it so good? its such a sad and painful and violent story, edgy even, but its compelling bc at the center of it there are all of these relationships and different types of love and hope and. :( i love it

Hope for the future  

one of the ?? things  i love the most is the fact that the main cast are often in situations where theyre hunted/running but they like. never wear disguises... just going around in their gorgeous expensive clan clothes and hair ornaments and distinctive spiritual weapons.... maybe w a straw hat on, just for kicks
