if i can convince anyone to join any fandoms with this blog it would be

-magi: the labyrinth of magic - high fantasy, really fun world building with an exploration on gray morality. 2 seasons (25 eps each) of anime. manga is complete but we don't talk about it. and a stage play.

-honorary mention to Sinbad no Bouken, the prequel origin story. 5 OVAs, 13 ep anime, manga is complete.

-Donten ni warau - light fantasy meiji era japan, great character development, good plot, beautiful art style. manga is complete at 11 vol. anime is complete 12 episodes + 3 movies to cover the gaiden manga. two addition spin off mangas, Utakata ni warau & rengoku ni warau.

-d gray man, for self indulgent reasons. classic early 2000s shounen but better. really great characters, hard hitting plot, one of the first mangas i ever ugly cried to. manga is releasing quarterly. original anime was 103 episodes. more recently released Hallow anime is 13 eps

This man is obsessed with vampires. He kidnaps human children to try to turn them into vampires. and one of the test subjects was vanitas

(ngl tho, he's soo annoying. i cant be the only one who wants to bash his head against the wall everytime he speaks😐)

Proffessor Kanou from Tokyo Ghoul.

it's revealed in the manga that he was the one who turned Kaneki into a half-ghoul, and he's been expirmenting on alot others too. (btw i haven't watched tg:re so idk if he appears in the anime)

Fullmetal Alchemist

Ajin: Demi-Human.

at one point in the story Kei (the mc, who's a demi-human) is captured by humans to be expiermented on and tortured

this scene is more gorey in the manga btw

Elfen Lied

Lucy is special breed of human referred to as "diclonius", born with a short pair of horns and invisible telekinetic hands that lands her a victim of inhumane scientific experimentation by the government.

I haven't watched them, but I think Made in Abyss and Zankyou no Terror fit the trope too?

Went to watch the first Donten ni warau gaiden today. There was no big poster, so I’m using the online ones - there were no flyers like these either, there never are once the movie is showing :( Anyway, it was just a limited showing and it ends this week already. The movie was just 50 minutes, but it was very nice. It was great to see the boys again and the animation looks gorgeous (with a minor drop to average at some points around the end, but it’s still okay). The series is summarized with gorgeous stills, too bad they weren’t included in the pamphlet. Yeah, I got the pamphlet, although it’s short and expensive ^^; But it’s nice regardless. The story is both a sequel and a prequel and fortunately it doesn’t end with a cliffhanger.

Because the next movie will be in June 2018! That’s so far away... But since I only read the beginning of the gaiden before, it came as a surprise that it will be about Shirasu/Kotarou ❤ We got a short scene with him at the end of the movie, it was great, I like him despite everything ❤

(1) I'm the one who could not be at ease until I found it in the manga. I finally saw it! To think that there's so much worship for that miniature thumbnail of an ass xD. I missed it but came back to it since the translator had pointed it out! And I was expecting Viktor Nikiforov type of angles from episode 1 xD For me, I think my "marble sculpture man", Gilbert, has a far more impressive and chiseled ass. How do I know? Well, a girl can imagine.

(2) Tanba's quite an intriguing character though. I should like to be able to read the entire manga someday. The plot looks very interesting. Absolutely no offence to those who hold his ass in high regard. I think I was just expecting more xD Gilbert also best suits my tastes in a man overall. Anyway, such enjoyment and sharing of mutual fun is what makes animanga worthwhile.

(3) So, happy simping, Tanbanons! I shall continue to follow the celebrations of reverence and devotion towards that ass with full fervour!

I want to scream but I’ll hold back for the sake of pushing one more person into Warau Hell. Please read it! But make sure to start with Donten ni Warau. Rengoku ni Warau is a spin-off. There’s also the prequel, Utakata ni Warau, and the sequel, Donten ni Warau Gaiden. There’s an anime series and three movies too. By all means, come to this side, Anon. @_@
