Can someone remind me what you call these types of play on words? Also, if you know anymore, please share! :)
I am overjoyed that you've come across my handmade work! These are fascinating pieces that continue to captivate my attention since seeing them back in the early 90s. #corememory
I construct every piece by hand as you can see in the video. Please help me decide on a name for this crackly-blue colour way, as it's current name (Crackled Cobalt) feels a bit uninspiring...
Please consider reblogging/sharing my post as this helps get the word out that these still exist! I'm certain for every 10 reblogs, it'll cross paths with someone who also shares memories of these when they were younger.

There’s a scene in Criminal Minds where an HR rep comes to give a presentation on sexual harassment in the workplace and it’s clearly based on actual behavior from Morgan and Garcia.
So now I’m imagining a similar situation with Roy and Jamie. All of Richmond AFC sitting through mandatory harassment training when the slide comes up of “Examples of Innapropriate Behaviour” and it’s like:
1. Asking coworkers to tie strings around their genitalia
2. Tying colleagues to a bicycle and yelling “mush”
3. Making employees repeat degrading remarks about their own appearance
I'm probably stuck in bed for at least another week with little to do but scroll Pinterest. When I finally snap should I buy an electroforming kit or one of those laser engravers that work on wood
if i were a youtuber/tiktoker/had a social media presence anywhere aside from here i would do a library haul to offset all of the mass consumption there
btw americans if you wanna support your library and want to watch a well known movie without pirating it you can usually find it on hoopla or kanopy if your library has an ecard system.
most of the time you don't even have to leave the house to apply for an ecard. if your library doesn't have hoopla (or you want access to kanopy, or a bigger audiobook/digital book library in general) most of the time you can look up "[your county name] reciprocal borrow program" and apply for a neighboring county's library ecards and use their digital libraries. you usually don't have to leave the house to apply for these either!
i've been hyperfixating on bg3 so hard that i actually saved money this month bc instead of online shopping my little treat is playing the game.... a win is a win
I just recently took a look at my Etsy shop stats, and I was surprised to find out that almost a third of my views/favourites/add-to-carts are from the United Kingdom! Is it the fidgeting aspect that makes this popular over there like it is in the USA, or is it the intricate design, and ornamental nature of it? I'm curious!
My 3D wire mandalas are handcrafted from start to finish. They make wonderful fidget toys, fashion bracelets, ornaments, and more. I make them in hundreds of styles and colours, and I even take custom requests if you have a creative idea in mind!
Honestly, I don't have a preference for where customers purchase my items, both platforms have their strengths and weaknesses.
Please consider browsing my Etsy Shop as I recently put in a lot of work to enhance my customer experience, and overall aesthetics of my listings. PLUS! I've found a way to ship my handmade wire mandalas to the UK for under $10CAD. Yay!
Before I started this blog I had no idea what I wanted to do in my life. I was just scrolling through my Pinterest board and thinking “How would I feel when this board might actually come true? When all my pinned looks would actually be in my wardrobe?” My Pinterest board makes me feel like THAT girl. But is it only just a thought? Why am I thinking about clothes that they are one time use only and why do I want new clothes every season?
As it turns out I am not the only one with this issue about disposable clothes. I did my research and I came across a lot of websites about this subject. Many people agree with me on this matter: we buy too many clothes we know we will never wear, but we still crave new items as well. Which, of course, end up on the bottom of our closet with all the rest of ‘the forgotten’. Companies such as Zara, H&M, etc. know how we feel about buying new clothes. They know how our human brain works. They know all about this happy chemical, dopamine, which releases in our brain when we buy something new. It’s addicting to our body, we do not want to go without this feeling of instant gratification. So when we get an email with the latest collection, our mind is triggered and we feel that we need to buy new clothes. We magically forget about the fact we only use it ones and that we will never touch it again for years.
When I open Pinterest I see the girls who I admire so much. I love their clothes and I strive to be just like them so bad, that when I see that particular Zara trousers THAT girl was wearing, I don’t think twice about it and buy them immediately. I feel great when I leave the story and bring my brand new purchase home, but I know deep down inside that I will use it as much as exactly one time. I only saw that one cool outfit, but I have no clue how to style the trousers any other way. Outfit repeating is very 2023, so you won’t see me wearing them ever again. But to be honest, I don’t know why I keep buying these sort of ‘unstylable’ clothes. I wonder: is it because I want to be them or do I actually find it a pretty item that is an addition to my existing wardrobe which I’ll wear over and over again and I will keep for years to come. Well, that last part might still be true. I have an entire wardrobe which has never seen the light of day, but let it be clear that that is not what I meant by the previous statement. Sometimes I just feel left behind, because I see THAT girl with awesome outfits, and I feel we are just the same. So I better behave and dress the same as well, right?
Well, wrong… It is important to think about what your consumption pattern does to the environment and your bank account. And more importantly: stay true to yourself. Focus more on who you are. Of course you have styling goals like your Pinterest board or your favourite influencer, but you don’t need to be like that other girl. You are THAT girl if you are true to your own sense of style. Everybody is unique, so be that unique self. Instead of buying so much new stuff you drown in receipts and paper bags (yes, we are that hypocritical: no plastic bags for me), you can also take the time to learn what your own fashion style is. It makes it THAT more easy to use clothes from ‘the forgotten’ and still feel fashionable because it is your OWN style.
