Another of countless evenings of eternal imprisonment. No one in this situation, not even the gods, could have been prepared for the sudden opening of an interdimensional rift right in the middle of the room
Alright, here she is! I pitched the idea of including illustrations in our special month-long IGN First coverage of Dragon Age: The Veilguard and I'm so so happy that they loved the idea.
I wanted to create a hero banner that would be at the top of every article to tie them all together to our exclusive coverage of the game, so I came up with this. I wanted to keep all the pieces in a cohesive style which is very much inspired by in-game murals and the previous art I've done for my own Inquisitor (and a friends). I always go back to the same touch stones with these: religious art, stained glass windows, playing cards and of course tarot.
As with my other pieces in this style, every color you see is hand picked and adjusted by me; there's no color overlays at all and I did this all in about 2 and a half days!
If you're interested in seeing more of my art and DA:TV, then check out some of IGN's exclusive content here.
From the lush Arlathan Forests to the busy streets of Minrathous - and the Crossroads that connect them all - here's a look at how exploration works across Dragon Age: The Veilguard.
