There's another big thing that Susie and Taranza have in common that isn't just them both having lost someone they were being loyal to.
And I think this deserves more attention amongst Taransusie people:
They've both had a streak of being arrogant, overconfident, smug know-it-alls. They loved playing the villain in their respective games.
It may seem less obvious in Taranza's case, but I interpret that he was an insufferably smug fool during Triple Deluxe before Sectonia's death. He was on a big ego-trip as he was subjugating Floralians while dragging the false 'hero of the lower world' around with him.
Susie is more self-explanatory. She was all over the place giddying about her complicity in the conquest during Planet Robobot's events.
Now, of course, I myself headcanon that Taranza's self-esteem was heavily damaged by the loss of his queen. And I headcanon something similar for Susie in that her ego was hurt bad after accidentally killing her dad when she was trying to free him from Star Dream's influence. The smug streaks exploded in both their faces.
However, in my hcs, after Kirby introduced Susie and Taranza to each other and they got to know each other more and more, and as they've gone on to help build each other up after they've both suffered grief...
... Their smug streaks slowly start to come back.
I like to think they learn each other's level of confidence they performed during their respective incidents, and when they slowly regrow that, they admire each other's levels of arrogance. To the point they collaborate in mischief where they're so incredibly convinced that they're gonna 'own' everyone after pranking them.
Imagine the Kirby cast performing a game that's similar to Mario Kart Double Dash, with Susie and Taranza forming as one of the duos. They'd both be completely and utterly convinced that they're going to easily win the race without breaking a sweat. And to their credit, I do see Susie being one of the best drivers in the cast, albeit she'd 100% be a crazy fast driver that makes maneuvers that most others in the road would be too afraid to do.
I also envision a scenario where Susie is the head of some social media website, I guess the 'Twitter' of the Kirbyverse, Taranza has a presence on there and he can easily convince Susie to ban people on a whim, and they laugh over the power they both have on the site.
So... uh, yeah! Feel free to steal these ideas if you're a Taransusie person. I'm incredibly normal about these two characters to the point I've observed their smug behaviors in their respective games and notice that's another thing they can come together over. Hahahaha!
There's more you can do with this friendship than just their grief.
You're welcome if you enjoyed this.

"Taranza's final words and offering can no longer reach her ears."
For the character of my iconsake, I'm always happy to have a chance to draw my favorite little bug. For a card about letting go and moving on from the past, I can think of no better character to represent this arcana.
I haven't drawn a very literal arcana in a while. And while I usually try not to for the sake of originality, it was pretty hard to convey The Hanged Man without actually drawing a man hanging from something. The first thing I thought was drawing him hanging from a web, as he is a spider. However, since Sectonia is the one that Taranza lets go of in Triple Deluxe's story, it felt perfect to include the dreamstalk, despite how difficult it is for me to actually draw and shade flowers.
Next time I draw this thing, I'll do even better.

Boyfriend/friend? What's the difference?
Some readers of mine might recognise this comic. I made a quick comic while working on A Royal Visit as a thank-you for the great support and love I got from the first chapter. I wanted to rearrange the panels and make the text more readable to share it on my blog.
And then I thought, "I've been having a lot of fun doing lineart, I will just quickly do that and - I've got a full comic now. Whoops." Sometimes, creating art really does not make you feel like you're in control.
For a bit of context for the people who have not read my fic: Fluff mistakenly assumed that boyfriend meant a friend who is a boy, and King Dedede (and Meta Knight) take it in the the worst way. Well, except King Dedede who gave the prince a kernel of doubt and confronted him about it.
The old comic is under 'keep reading'
The old comic still has its charm with the messy sketch style. I always adore Fluff's little bean mouth. Funny lad.

Kirby: Triple Deluxe: Released January 11ith, 2014
I remember when I initially drew this, I was very dissatisfied with how it looked. However, I had already been too deep into the lines and colors when I was working on it and I didn't want to have to scrap the entire drawing. In the end, I tried to make the background sky more appealing and changed most of that to salvage what I could. I am pleased with how it looks, but I think it might have been better to scrap it still, I'm not sure.
You'd think I'd be happier with this, as it includes the character of my icon, but here we are.
