right so i'm like. seventeen sixteen in this dream? idk but i looked in the mirror and was the SPITTING image of teenage me so yes. i'm in this bus right and it stops at this weird stop next to the woods in my hometown. This sketchy group of people get on and one of them shoved this bag into my hands and i'm like ??????? okay queen i guess this is mine now

then there's four cops in the bus and for some reason i know they're looking for me so i smash this glas window next to me and bolt out of it bag in hand. WHY DO I STILL HAVE THIS BAG? no clue BUT i'm with one of my mates i know i didn't know back then but i just DONT question it in the slightest and keep running

i'm being chased by these fuckass city orga cops down this hill and my mate trips and falls and just disappears whatever i don't question it because i'm SPRINTING at this point.

i reach this weird drugstore that looks somewhat familiar but only on the outside the inside is way too big and literally has everything imaginable and i'm just like. okay this is happening now. i run to hide and see a bunch of people i know i should know and one of them i recognise as my friend sahara and i go up to her being like GIRL IM BEING CHASED???? and she's like yeah obv you have a BOMB

So apparently i have a bomb in my bag and i drop this bitch IMMEDIATELY book it into the sex toys section and hide while they search the place and i'm like???????? HUH and they eventually leave

i go outside and jesus fucking christ the street is filled with goths. i wish i was kidding everyone was in full trad goth makeup and holding crosses and those weird fire things whatever I STILL don't question it and start trying to find ANYONE i know. i'm walking through this crowd of goth folks and reach a weird wooden stage and sahara appears behind me with this absolutely massive spliff (like at least four feet tall she's just hauling the thing) COPS COME AGAIN and i'm running once more towards this stage and that when i see children?????

these kids are fully performing a really shite dance routine to bad blood by taylor swift like costumes and shitty makeup everything and there's a bunch of people in rows of chairs (their parents????) watching the show and clapping and holding up signs that i couldn't really read

right so i somehow skip to a part where all of these aforementioned goths are sitting in a circle and there's this MASSIVE bonfire in the middle right in front of me but it feels cold and not like fire

again more cops and they start arresting everyone and suddenly there THE BOMB GOES OFF AND ITS RIGHT NEXT TO ME and i fly through the air like i'm bibi bloxberg so i'm soaring and land in this bed just chilling in the middle of the road and i'm like ??? okay queen i guess i'm here now

theres this weird PA announcement thing that just tells everyone to beware of the satanists roaming the streets and theres like. old german ladies multiplying in the windows staring into my soul and i'm TERRIFIED but in a silly way because what the fuck mate what am i DOING

anyway everyone gets lined up and "processed" ?????? in the middle of the street ???????? okay whatever suddenly there's a bottle of pink whitney's (shout out wife) in my hand and i'm drinking it and everyone has the same bottle while simultaneously being in handcuffs ??? do they have four arms ????

okay whatever and then i wake up literally sweating and my face is puffy and THIRSTY and also somewhat convinced i'm still dreaming because what the FUCK just happened to me

Recently I’ve been loving a good drugstore shop! I think sometimes when you get so used to your makeup routine, you don’t try other products or in my case pay attention to drugstore trends! So while I was shopping in Superdrug recently they had a 3 for 2 on LOREAL Paris products and I decided to go for it!

So we’re gonna start off with the product that annoyingly I was the most excited about and yet I can’t use it because the lightest shade is too dark for me! Let’s talk about L'Oreal Paris Magic BB Cream .£10.99 in shade Very Light (this is the product im labelling free so I don’t feel like I’ve wasted money). This product seemed so fun because it started off as a white cream texture and then when you rub it in, it’s meant to match the colour of your face! The formula felt lovely and gave a gorgeous natural finish, the problem however was it looked orange on me! I was so sad about this but luckily it didn’t go to waste because it matches my mum really well. So not a total waste there but annoying the very fair shade was too dark for me!

Now let’s chat about the winners in this 3 for 2 shop. Moving on to the L'Oréal Paris Prime Lab 24 HR Matte Setter Primer, £11.99. Since I have oily combo skin. a matte primer is a summer essential for my everyday makeup lasting on my face. This primer is so lovely to wear because it isn't thick in formula and blends into my foundations or skin tints effortlessly. Honestly even if you don't have oily skin, but want your makeup to last try using matte primer because they reduce shine which helps keep your face oils under control. Like I said, been using matte primers for years and they haven't let me down.

And lastly, we have one of my favourite drugstore foundations, the L'Oréal Paris True Match Liquid Foundation with Hyaluronic Acid 30ml and SPF, £10.99. I have used and loved the True Match foundations from LO'real for years now and recently I have been loving their tinted serum foundation and it made me want to do this haul in the first place. So I decided while I was shopping to revisit a old favourite, this foundation has always been my favourite drugstore formula. Not only it is my perfect colour match, it feels so light on the skin and has skincare ingredients in the formula. By now we're used to this but when this foundation first came out it was a game changer. This foundation is perfect if you want a medium, smoothing formula that helps treat your skin while you wear it. Though I own a lot of foundations, I get the most compliments when I wear this foundation every time!

Ya girl has been itching for new makeup and luckily, I was blessed with an Ulta gift card 🫶🏽 So y’all already know, I raaaan to Ulta! I bought majority drugstore products & one high-end item.

I watched a few YouTube vids and TikTok’s to get me up to date with what’s new since I don’t really keep up with makeup news like that anymore. And, honestly? I’m super happy with my purchases + can’t wait to try them out.

Here’s what I bought,

HIGHEND:

NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer — Soooo excited to try this! This is my second (I’m pretty sure) NARS product and it’s honestly been a cult favorite since I got into makeup in 2015/16. Type embarrassed it took me so long to try 🫣

The Verdict: Don't fight me cause I know y'all like to tussle but honestly.. this ain't all that..? Like it’s def creamy and thick but I don't understand the hype over it..? It's a regular concealer. I'd pass and save the $$. It does what any regular concealer will do. 5/10

DRUGSTORE:

Elf Holy Hydration Makeup Melting Cleansing Balm — I use the Versed Day Dissolve Cleansing Balm but this one peaked my interest so I decided to give it a try.

The Verdict: Does what it states but that's it. It's nothing special. I won't be repurchasing and will be going back to Versed. 5/10

L’Oréal Infallible 24hr Fresh Wear Foundation — I really want to perfect my base make up this year and wanted something medium-to-high coverage & all the reviews were raving about this one so I’ll let y’all know!

The Verdict: AMAZING! It's medium to FULL coverage, doesn't dry immediately, doesn't feel heavy on the skin either but covers everythingg! It def lives up to the hype and has become my go-to foundation. 10/10

Elf Power Grip Primer — Been meaning to try this primer for a minute now! I heard it’s a dupe for the Milk Hydrogrip Primer and I can’t wait to test it out.

The Verdict: Another 10 outta 10. Lives up to the hype and really grasps onto your base, helping it last!

LA Pro Girl Concealer — My old reliable. I’ll never stop using this concealer. Ever. I love using this as my “foundation” too.

The Verdict: A cult classic. I'll always recommend. 10/10

Juvia’s Place Blush Duo in Volume 4 — Another dupe 🫣 This time apparently for the viral pink Dior blush! I def want to get the Dior one but I want to save up and do a big high-end haul. Plus, I’ve heard amazing things about Juvia’s Place so why not give them a try? The lighter pink seems pretty similar to the Dior blush and even if it’s not exact, it’s still pretty af! The deeper shade is pretty as well, I’ll probably leave it for Fall time though..

The Verdict: Such a beautiful blush. Super pigmented and lasts long. Alsooo, lives up to the hype. 10/10

NYX Butter Glosses — In shades: Fortune Cookie, Crème Brûlée - I love these glosses! Affordable but amazing quality! Not sticky & super pigmented.

The Verdict: I already knew I loved the formula so I picked up some new shades I didn't have. Perfects shades to make the prettiest nude lip. 10/10

Milani Gilded Eyeshadow Palette in shade: Whiskey Business — Okay, so this is another dupe.. alleged “dupe” because I’m not 100% sure. BUT, I thinkkkk it’s similar [enough] to the Artist Couture Mini Supreme Nudes Matte Eyeshadow Palette! I wanna splurge on it but $30 for a MINI palette with 8 shadows? Mmm.. Chile.. Anyway;

As y’all can see, the shades are pretty similar! I think I’ll def be able to achieve the looks I’m going for if the pigment pay off is good!

The Verdict: I wanted to love this. I wanted this to be amazing. It.. was not. The color story is perfect but the shadows lack soo much pigment. I really had to pack the shadow on and even then, it didn't make much of a difference. That being said, it's not WOC friendly. Ugh, ode wack. On top of the poor pigmentation, the shadows were chalky + had a lot of fallout.

While the price point is great, the product itself could be better. I think this could work with someone with very, very fair skin but if you got any type of color to you, pass on this. 3/10

Towards the end of last year I was chatting to all of you about luxury beauty brands a lot and this year I want to revisit some of my favourite drugstore beauty brands. I decided to do a little makeup haul at Makeup Revolution because they had an amazing sale during christmas and my total haul was £22.00! Such a bargain when you compare to my high end beauty hauls.

The first product I picked up was the Revolution Pro Eternal Rose Lip Oil, Rosy, £7.00. I have had a real obsession with lip oils the past couple months. They are so easy to throw on and make your lips super shiny and soft. Originally I ordered this because I didn't want to get the Kylie Cosmetics one since its £20+ and I became obsessed quickly. Now I never leave home without it.The second product I picked up was the Makeup Revolution Lock Grip Eyeshadow Primer , £5.99. I adore Revolution eye primers because they are so affordable and really have a impact making your shadow last longer. This is their newest one so of course I had to try it out. So far I am loving it and like their previous ones it's a clear colour so you cannot see it on your eyes at all.

The third product was the Makeup Revolution Lash Pow Eye Duo Gift Set , £7.50 (originally £16.00). This set is easily my best bargain yet. In this set you get a  5D Lash Pow Mascara , a Liner Pow Liquid Eyeliner and a Soft Pink Eyelash Curler. Originally I bought this set because I have wanted to try this liner out but it's out of stock everywhere. Now the eyeliner by itself is £5.00 so it made sense to pay £7.50 and get all the products in one. I adore the eyeliner and mascara in this set and am so happy to have new ones in my collection. When it comes to lash curlers I have never used them before so I was curious to try a set out. Since I have long lashes anyway I didn't notice a massive difference but I could see my lashes looked like they had a little volume.

The last product I grabbed was the Makeup Revolution Mini Reloaded Palette, Velvet Rose , £2.50). I once bought a Nars 6 pan palette and in all honesty I wanted to see how the Revolution one compared size wise. This palette has way bigger pan's than Nars and yet it was £2.50, totally crazy. I love the colour story in this palette because it literally covers my go to colours when I want to throw on a quick eye look. Worth the money and the colours are crazy pigmented too.
