Secagem é engraçado…maior adrenalina, ansiedade, incertezas, aquele coquetel de cortisol diariamente no sistema. Mas no final (geralmente) vale a pena! As flores ainda tem estrada pra secar mas já começo a ficar mais relaxada e relativamente já bastante satisfeita com tudo até agora. Hoje completamos 1 semana e a aparência e aroma da maioria encanta. Exaustor ligado o tempo todo, ventiladores indiretamente alternados pois eu ajusto eles de acordo com os insights que recebo do monitoramento feito com o @pulsegrow , desumidificador a mesma coisa, as vezes fica ligado as vezes eu desligo (até porque no manual de utilizo do aparelho recomenda isso pra uma maior durabilidade e também porque eu não quero que nada seque muito rapidamente. Não adianta se dedicar meses e depois cagar tudo no final tendo pressa. Aqui eu faço assim respeitando tudo como tem que ser. Potes cheios eu ainda tenho, essas aqui secarão no tempo delas e serão curadas a frio antes do tão esperado deguste daqui algumas semanas. Recently I’ve been curating dried flowers & incorporating them in my styling, for those times when fresh flowers aren’t available. I’ve created these small goto arrangements to sprinkle about where I think a little texture & interest is needed. I don’t go too crazy with color but the possibilities are endless. The easiest way to preserve these babies is by gathering your flower bouquet by the end with a rubber band or tie & hanging them in a dark room upside down for about 3 weeks. The dark room will help preserve the color of the blooms. Tips - Flowers are best preserved when they have bloomed within a day or so. On day 2 spray the bouquet with hairspray. A neighbour of mine was going to mow over her violets, so I “persuaded” her to let me now her lawn in exchange for deadheading the violets, she agreed; I was also able to dig a few out of her garden to plant at home. These will be primarily used for teas and bath mixtures; I’ll start using the leaves from the ones I brought home after they’ve had a chance to establish their roots. Terceiro dia de secagem. Temperaturas na tenda entre 11-13°C. Manicure das plantas sendo feita gradualmente, o grosso eu tiro no momento em que colho. Folhas intermediárias entre os dias 3-6 do processo. E o restante, aquelas folhas menores e geralmente com resina no momento de tirar dos galhos e armazenar após secagem completa. Cada um faz de um jeito, eu gosto assim, trim jail em doses terapêuticas. Exaustão ligada em momentos alternados, o objetivo é deixar a umidade ir abaixando gradualmente, nem rápido demais senão aíra tudo, nem devagar demais ao ponto de estragar e mofar. É a parte do tudo ou nada. O máximo ficou em 68% nos primeiros dois dias, estável e já reduzindo bem. Um fator que muitos não questionam sobre secagem é que existe influência direta entre temperatura X umidade X quantidade de matéria vegetal. Cada secagem é única, porque cada flor/planta a ser seca é também única, então olho vivo e ajustes sempre que necessário! Simbora lá pra mais um dia de subir e descer escadas aqui.
