Why do so many people in the DuckTales fandom act like uncle is such a bad title for Donald Duck?

He’s not the triplets’ dad and he never will be

Nor does he need to have the title of “dad”

Dad is not the most important title a parent and/or guardian can have

There are plenty of people out there with that title that are bad parents

He’s not just their Uncle Donald

He’s THE Uncle Donald

Do you know any other uncles that are more famous than Donald!?!

Don’t say Scrooge McDuck!

Normies dont know Scrooge as well as Donald, but everyone knows that Huey, Dewey, and Louie are Donald’s nephews!

Many other cartoon characters had nieces and nephews to follow the trend that Donald started as an Uncle but none have even come close to the status Donald has as uncle

He’s the Uncle that steps up despite what the world (and mostly the triplets) throw at him!

So don’t disrespect his status by calling him “dad”

seeing people on twitter talk about how vessels chin does that thing when he looks down or smiles (typical human thing its just how the skin and fat reacts) and people say that its “ugly, and weird” and im over here like “what? you mean to tell me you think the human body doing its thing is, weird?”. because i see it as like a human thing.

anyways, hate twitter and their beauty standards, and thinking humans are just objects.

My favourite thing about writing Louie and Della's dynamic is the complexity, trying to find the line between truly familial energy and platonic energy. Because I really don't see younger Louie being able to accept a maternal figure (WHICH EVERYONE ALWAYS TAKES AS ME LIKE THINKING THEYRE WORST ENEMIES WHICH I DONT THINK, THEY LOVE EACH OTHER BUT ITS COMPLICATED) but he looks up to her. There's this aura of respect and understanding, but it's tainted by bitterness knowing the distance between them was caused by something that was preventable.

When I tell you that nothing brings me delight in a show quite like a recurring gag, Crowley's duck references are up there as an absolutely fave

And the general duck-related pondering just gets me

It's not only the absolute joy that the randomness of it being ducks brings, it's the way it's part of a delayed thought process

That throughout whatever conversations Crowley's been engaged in, their brain has been mulling and searching for the epiphany that eventually comes and it's completely out of context for whoever Crowley's talking to

And while not strictly Crowley, gotta admit this was a pretty darn delightful touch:
