The more I think about Eddie’s death, the more frustrated I get - I just don’t understand why they pushed the framework so hard that he was a coward who ran away from everything when every situation he ran away from in season 4 was completely warranted??? When Chrissy died, he felt guilty that he bolted & left her there, but literally what else was he supposed to do??? He couldn’t wrap his head around what just happened & had no idea how to explain it & had no knowledge or resources to fix it. A level one DnD character (which in this case would be Eddie since he had no prior experience to any of the supernatural stuff going on in the Upside Down) would never be expected to try & fight a high level character like Vecna - it’s not a matter of cowardice, it would just be no match! & then after that the jocks were hunting him down so yeah, when they found him he ran because what else was he supposed to do??? There was a whole team of them & only one of Eddie - that’s not a fair fight & Eddie doesn’t come across as a violent person anyway. He didn’t want to jump through watergate, but he still went & then went back in AGAIN to distract the demobats - that on its own was heroic!!! Him running straight into the swarm of bats instead of going back through the gate with Dustin was framed to be the redemption for Eddie being a coward all season, but he literally never did anything wrong to need redeeming so it just felt like a weak reason to try & justify them killing him off for a shock death & then his sacrifice didn’t even end up helping anything directly 😩 & then no one except Dustin & his uncle even acknowledged him being gone??? He was a character who had so much potential & so if they were set on killing him off, they should have at least made it matter, but instead it just felt like a throwaway because they felt like someone had to die to keep the stakes high which is such a waste :-(

Random but I love how canon, I’m talking completely canon here, Mike is possessive and protective of Will season 1-2, it was so cute. And I’ve noticed you can see glimpses of his protectiveness over Will even now, but you can tell he’s scared to touch Will now. He wasn’t afraid in the past so I hope the canon story explains why. But now days, for example the talk in hopper’s cabin, when he does touch Will, it almost seems like he holds on for dear life and doesn’t wanna let go. Like, DUFFERS PLEASE ELABORATE.

A prediction for season 5:

So obviously the last time we saw everyone in Hawkins, the upside down was present in the real world, and everyone was able to see the particles in the air. So in the show it's established that the creatures of the UD are basically built like an army, and that basically Vecna is the Mind Flayer's Top General, so that means that the demo-dogs and the demogorgons are all apart of this army, and that technically includes the vines, bc they're a hive mind, BUT.

I think, that, all of Hawkins is gonna band together to fight the UD, and the other adults in the show will find out about the UD, and I hope we find out that Eddie is still alive and travels back to Hawkins through the open portal with the army

Also: I think Will and Mike are gonna confess to 'Heroes' by David Bowie, just cause it's gonna come full circle, I feel like. I hope. Idk.
