Mastering Art-Life

I found myself in a pattern of thinking that as I was dedicating myself to and prioritizing motherhood, that my personal art was going to be mostly set aside for a bit. How could I forget though, especially as a performance artist, that life, that motherhood, is art?

I’ve decided that this is my personal master’s program and that Linda’s book is my textbook. I always wanted to be a scholarly artist that got an MFA, but lately my life has led me to feel that I want to do my work outside of established institutions. I now declare myself a student of life, with various guides and inspirational texts! Linda Mary Montano is my biggest inspiration in the world of performance art, and this work is dedicated to her!

I asked the question: How can I be of more service to my local community?

I decided to revisit a life-dream I've had since college, and I signed up for a Waldorf Teacher Training program. Also inspired by the idea of teaching, I've been posting notices around town for teaching my course on reading the Tarot.

I felt that a big improvement in my life will be to start my days with more inspiration and intention. I have committed to a morning ritual, and I am also going to declare my morning ritual as being Art. What I am practicing these two months, and hope to take with me onwards, is:

Light a candle

Cleanse with smoke

Stretch

10 minutes of meditation and prayer

Journal any dreams or inspiration

I am very interested in mindfulness practices within the Anthroposophical system, so during this time I am reading and reaching out to learn from practiced Anthroposophists.

Honestly the cliche advice is true. If you fill your life w things you’re passionate about, if you challenge yourself every day, if you give your own opinion of yourself more weight than you do other people’s opinions of you, you will actually thrive. Like no one can tell u anything

for books this is about the printing date of the physical object you have! not publication date!! dont count things that only incidentally have writing on them (like a record sleeve, a box for something, an engraved metal object, or a photograph with a caption on it) but you can count associated materials if the writing is the main focus (like a booklet with the record, instruction booklets in a box, sales receipts or certificates for other objects, or a diary which the photo is pasted into
