The idea of Wonderland being a separate country or whatever to the main world of Ever After High with its own language gave me the mental image of Kitty (or one of the other wonderlandians) getting into an argument with someone not from Wonderland and it gets heated to the point where she just starts releasing a barrage of riddlish insults at the other person, who went from upset to incredibly confused.

do you have any headcanons for Darling?

It's not a lot, but I have some headcanons (also redesign)

First is that "Darling " - nickname, and a real name is Edel (I don't remember where I got it from, but it's means "protector"?)

Also she have like a fairy gift-curse which sounds like "And everyone will adore/attract to her" (That's the reason why she was kidnapped so many times)

I’ve decided that Kitty Cheshire is 100% a contortionist and regularly pulls out the craziest poses and insists that she’s completely comfortable. She also is a huge fan of cartwheeling down the halls of Ever After High, and has somehow NEVER run into anyone (yet).

Idk if Kitty would wear any of these colors canonically but I wanted some pops of color in the piece lol (maybe she’d wear the blue)

okay angsty eah headcannon. so you know how the original fairytales are much darker than what we learn about through eah/disney?

For example; in the og cinderella, she sends birds to peck out her step sisters eyes. in og little mermaid, she fails to earn the princes love and turns into sea foam at the end, ect.

so i have a headcanon that there are multiple different ways the story book of legends will allow the story to go, that includes the original stories, as long as it sticks to the bare essentials. But the outcome is based on the characters personalities, ability, and choices. basically, if ashlynn was into the idea of punishing her step sisters with birds at the end of her story (not that she would ever do that), she could. if meeshell successfully, genuinely, woos her prince, she earns her happily ever after. if she is unsuccessful, she will be turned into sea foam. at the end of her story, Duchess can choose either to live the rest of her life as a swan, or to drown with siegfried. if the villians of the pinnochio story are especially cruel this generation, cedar could potentially be hanged.

Apples mom was 100% going to force the evil queen to dance in red-hot iron slippers till she drops dead, but wasnt able to because the evil queen broke away from the story. nobody knows that was her intention. meanwhile, apple would never in a million years choose that ending.

the reason not many have rebelled before raven is because, since grimm has been so strict on keeping to the exact same story, not many have diverged from it/chosen a different outcome in centuries. and if they did, its very much kept on the DL. so most of the students have no idea that their stories have the potential to be so much more dangerous than they think

sorry this is kinda messed up but i love adding mature themes to kids shows lol and if any students somehow find out about this, it adds much more reason for the kids to rebel.

idk if this makes sense!!! and im sure there are a bunch of plot holes there but im gonna post it anyway

shannon hale is the reason behind why the ever after high lore is so interesting. she makes it so detailed, so dark soo.. idkkk how to explain it she just makes it so interesting and so good!! all the other irrelevant eah authors are plain boring and bland. it’s my opinion so don’t come for me with knives and pitchforks lolz

This is a random question, but I'd love another opinion. How old do you think some of the EAH parents we've seen are? I've been trying to work out the ages people have to be to take on their destiny role. Especially since some of the ages don't exactly correlate with the original character. For example, they would need to be in their mid 30s-50s to have teenage children right now? I always headcanoned Hatter and Badwolf being in their 40s?

Also, on a note, I love the representation of your headcanons for the characters.

Okay so 4 years at eah 14-18

18 book is signed story can begin let's say on average it takes 3 years to completely live out your fairytale

21 fairytale over happily ever after yippie

3 years of getting married to ur prince, ceremonies officially passing down the throne, and being pregnant / stork times

Then 18 years of parenting

That puts the parents at 40 years old average so alot of them are really close to that number with some out liars (briars parents, Ravens father/Apples grandad, dark fay, the wonderlandians )

Thanks! I can't say about "the most fun interaction" bcs how I imagine Raven just act like normal yuu (but with magic). But I like think abt her interaction with Silver, like they just sitting and talk, randomly dropping some insane lore (also this includes book 7 spoilers which one about I not gonna write here)

this may sound a bit like a convoluted theory, but i don't think darling was originally apple's princess charming. and i don't mean i don't think the writers originally planned it — i mean, i think that in-universe darling was not supposed to be the one who saved apple.

i do think that daring was actually apple's original prince. however, when raven decided to give everyone their page rather than having them sign it, they gained the ability to change their stories without even trying or knowing they were doing so.

apple is a lesbian, and so with her newfound freedom, her story automatically rewired itself into having a woman be her true love rather than a man. same with daring — instead of saving apple, his destiny was then changed to be with rosabella, someone who he could genuinely fall in love with.

essentially, i'm saying there's two types of love in ever after: the romances that come with your destiny (apple & daring) and a soulmate relationship that only comes into existence when you take your destiny into your own hands (apple & darling, ashlynn & hunter, daring & rosabella).
