I can't believe I spent SO MUCH TIME in my first playthrough swimming after those stupid moonfishes, and now I discover that the tallneck at the isle of spires systematically kills TONS of them as it goes around its path. It's free fish, Aloy ! T_T would that I had known/noticed that sooner T_T

Page 849 Reworked
I've been waiting a long time to show this one, and had to adjust some stuff cause the author thought rushing to place an out of place fog would make things better, but just adds on the confusion of a fog only showing around their and not around the area. Also would've had a scene of them going through the fog and we seen the Two tribes coming in through the fog. This would've been a better battle and advantage CAUSE LET ME REMIND YA. There are two tribes band together to take down Meteor tribe and a few of Whispervale members. THIS IS A NO WIN BATTLE, Meteor has to be strategic and improvise from a no win scenario. Ronja and other would've taken advantage of the fog and fought them there and not up the freaking mountains. taken advantage when the elements plus the rain coming down would make it more thick in mist. THE BATTLE SPEAKS FOR ITSELF!!!.
Tumblr media
Close-up shots;
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I did adjustment of the whole scene cause this is an action scene;
Panel adjustments and add-ons
Added lighting and shadows
Added SFX
Reworked the BG
Added armor
Added tribal paint
Worked Dialogue bubble cause yikes Ronja.
KARGO HAS PAINT ON BOTH SIDES!!!
He also has the other half of his body.
Adjust to make the dogs more like fur.
Diarko had him more primitive and connect the dark markings.
Also quote from the author themselves; " No paint on any of them for this, it's tedious enough to have to draw all this armor X)" SO BASICALLY YOU, an author that is drawing a Raiding battle of tribes that is between life and death, doesn't want to do paint nor any detailed important stuff, so we don't know who's fighting who. It's not even battle armor cause None of them ARE WEARING ANYTHING TO PROTECT THEMSELVESM, Meteortribe is more equipped with clothes then the tribes that are experienced not wearing any, they're the one's that say burning bodies is ' primitive '. let me tell ya after 2-3 pages its laughable on him trying to make this the final boss type BS when they. How these dogs advanced again? ya got literally spirits giving out free loot XD This is what I mean by ' changing plot to fit the story ' and ' inconsistencies ' like this an annoying blemish, instead of a competent tribes that are more experienced and trained to handle such things, you are NOT given armor nor paint nor anything of an build-up, because you was lazy and don't know how to find an easy way to do said battle armor - PLUS don't know how to have meteor tribe not lose members. Like, why the heck are the two tribes waited MONTHS to start invading them now why not then?? because kiq. doesn't know how to fix the plot holes, since basically would've been wiped out regardless of the extra protection. why meteor waited so long to fix their defenses?
why Keirr is not with them, isn't he a family oriented dog.?
Why Rhovanion and Feaf are not their isn't Rhov and family oriented dog?
Why meteor didn't leave around winter and waited many months to move at all? , this is not a vacation, its an evacuation.
why Tribes waited years to actually start something now then 30 years ago.?
Why Roamer wants to take the idea from Kargo which was meant for Kargo, roamer, Ferah to make their ' new life? ' why not just have it where its an idea you made on your own???!!!! really putting salt on that wound ain't ya?
When did Kargo know about Rogio, more then Roamer who is literally his boyfriend?
Why Rogio dumping all the chores on Roamer to do? he's been doing it a lot and somehow Roamer have to agree, cause remember those scenes when Roamer put OUT HIS OPINION??!!! and tried to help? he gotten gaslighted and a upper cut of emotional manipulations.
Why Rogio wants a Polycule now? especially after we SAW Rogio snooping AGAIN on other dogs conversations. and Kargo so far is focused on other things then having a threesome. and all these glaring and many more glaring questions. Again the question is why?? why, why and more WHY'S. This stuff usually is dealt with after doing drafts, concepts and revisions.
-----
Ps.
The quick placement of the Fog was laughable, cause think about it like, why kiq. going to do a dues ex Machina on the mountains and not in the fogs. Think about it in a tactical planning for Ronja and writers. The Fog is more an advantage to hide in the thick mist in dark shades of the trees, then being exposer on plan sight on top of a mountain. Meteor ( Nordguard ) 1. does not know how to wield a sword, 2. they're outnumbered, 3. lack experiences and 4. have children. They needed to think strategically and fast. The fog would've been a perfect scene for them to hide in and cover their scents, Rain and thunder is coming, so more thick fog and cover up from the tribes, they would use that to their advantage and scatter the raid them around. It's a risky maneuver but Ronja can't be hesitant nor meek on this, is all or nothing. THIS STUFF IS GOOD TENSION AND CHARACTER BUILD-UP.
---- This creating armor and concepts is like whip cream on an ice cream cake for me. But hey it's not my Comic to stress over, be a pump and dump for all I bloody know . .....

Quick Armored concept for Dragonsfall
Tumblr media
Dragonsfall Paint marks
The Dragonsfall tribe is a group of Canines who have forged a strong alliance with Fire-breathing lizards, believing themselves to be descendants of these majestic creatures. They are known for crafting a unique bronze metal, believed to be hardened and melted with metal from the scales of dragons. This bronze shines like fire, is harder than regular metal, and exhibits weird translucent colors like the scales. The tribe also molds bits of leather to create softer but sturdier materials. While they may have lost some of the fierce traits associated with dragons over time, certain traits like their scales, reproduction and facials still show hints of their connection to these mythical beings.

I imagine Zilvera at times has problems keeping up with the moral compass of some characters, namely Wyll and Karlach, specially with subjects as slavery, child abuse (as she might not consider some abusive traits as abuse), and others.
I can imagine them seeing her free the deep gnomes and being "thank gods you are against slavery", and because she avoids confrontation her reacting being like "Yeah, yeah, sure. Whatever helps us sleep soundly at night without more conflict than the one Shadowheart and Lae'zel bring."
Tumblr media
Hi Anon! Thanks so much for your ask! This might get a bit, or very lengthy because I find it hard to stop talking, or thinking, about their story 😅😂💜
Yeah Zilvera's moral compass is basically "whatever leads to what I want is right."
The storyline I chose here was: co-op with the duergar elder → used regular explosives to blow open the cave and kept the Smokepowder → killed Nere and loot all his money from his body without being noticed. This battle turned into a favor the elder owed her, since he failed to pay what he promised. → freed the deep gnomes, including Barcus.
In Zilvera's eyes, these were all minor skirmishes, and the true enemies haven't shown their faces yet. She wanted to gather all possible advantages for the upcoming real war. The little guys with powerful explosives technology were worth investing in. And Nere? Who?
She has no sympathy for slaves or children. She thinks these people brought it upon themselves; powerlessness and compliance are the true crimes. Wyll and Karlach were great "good-guys" moral examples for her because their reactions were honest, instant, and easy to read. She influences people by making them to like her, and in general surface people like the good guys. She knew the concepts of slavery, manipulation, and abuse are triggering to many, so she prefers putting on an act. Nobody ever openly asks her opinion towards slavery, but if they did, she'd give sly, witty answers like "Of course, I ran a slave farm back home," or "Why? You need a mistress?"
If she was alone, she'd probably wrest control from the duergars by making shocking horror examples of her capability, then force the gnomes to figure out a way to blow open the rocks immediately. Her approach would be, "Your loved ones are in there too, right? Don't you want to save them? Clock's ticking, and their fates are depend on you."
In her opinion whipping slaves to make them work faster is foolish child's play—how can injured arms swing quicker? She has no need for defective slaves. She slaves with a long-term reward and punishment system. Learning the slave's drives and fears, creating conflicts of interest among them to ensure they don't band together, making them prone to betraying each other. She has a twisted appreciation for the true art of manipulation. The master's work should always be deeply ingrained and unnoticed. Flogging? Beating? Starving? Amateur. My spider baby was raised in Lolth's church after all.
Ironically, her core has always been a devoted lover, a giver, a pleaser. Her lover's approval means everything to her. Zilvera feels embarrassed by the way she loves so she's pretty shy in romance, even worse in bed. It's an endless cycle for her—she gets hyped by their affection and then hates herself for having no dignity. But the sweetness is all she wants in the world so she'd easily go back to the same track. I wrote a story curve for her and it'd eventually gets a lot better as their bond grows and she slowly learn self acceptance. Her moral compass had became guessing-what-Gale-likes ever since she fell in love with him XD She’s already hopeless way before they reached the forge. She always looks for opportunities to put a smile on his face, to make him proud of her. Anything she thinks he wouldn’t approve, she'd do behind his back or find another way. This tendency eventually sowed unease in herself. She thought that once Gale find out everything about her then he'll definitely leave. She thought their relationship was but a countdown on a tightrope which she tried hard to cling to. My HC Gale actually knew some of her secrets and struggles, but he was treating the matter carefully. He sees her true nature as quite selfless, a rare and precious attribute that he loves about her. Plus it's intoxicating for him to see how much influence he has upon her and how obvious that he is her priority always.
[DISCLAIMER] I wanted to build an anti-hero character and create a reasonable, relatable drow culture out of the straight silly evil frame so I built Zilvera this way. None of these represent my own moral opinion! XD

The assassins meet Rico Rodriguez?
@memorialerrordotrom, you are so lucky I recognized the name after a while because the first result if you search the name is an actor from Modern Family and I’m going on a limb and say that you meant the chaotic protagonist of Just Cause and not that one XD
Considering his ties with the CIA and the destruction left at his wake, majority of them are more on the side of “this man is dangerous and a liability” (this is set before the end of Just Cause 4).
Altaïr: The only thing stopping Altaïr from assassinating him is that he hasn’t receive the green signal yet. The destruction Rico leaves leaves a bad aftertaste in Altaïr’s mouth, especially if this is an Altaïr who finally understood what Malik meant by ‘discretion’. Any alliance they may have would be short-lived and Rico would joke that Altaïr is just using him and throwing him away at his own convenience to which Altaïr would retort that Rico thinks of their alliance as the same thing. Rico would say they were vitriolic best buds, Altaïr would say that Rico is lying.
Ezio: Ezio has the highest chance of allying himself with Rico against the dictator but he’s more on the side of “you distract them while I kill the dictator” kind of way. He’s not keen with all the destruction happening but there are time he knows that this is better than the alternative, considering how heavily armed their enemies are nowadays.
Ratonhnhaké:ton: He would team up with Rico as long as they’re raiding enemy bases. He draws a line when Rico starts attacking facilities that can have longtime harmful effects on the land. Ratonhnhaké:ton thinks of him as an ally but… well… Rico definitely makes ‘It’s complicated’ easy to say when it comes to his alliance with the Brotherhood.
Desmond: Bill calls him a ‘necessary evil’ when he told his son about Rico. The fact that they’re distantly allied with someone from the Company is a big red flag already for Desmond but he does find Rico amusing. He thinks Rico’s one-liners are funny. He does not enjoy his way of doing things unless they were sure it was an enemy base. Desmond sees Rico and thinks “Yeah, I can’t fix him and I don’t want to so I’ll just watch”. Their alliance can grow into something more but, at the same time, Desmond knows there’s a possibility that the Brotherhood and the Company would disagree on something and Desmond would have to be there to clean the mess.
Edward: They’re not that close but Edward does enjoy Rico’s ‘antics’, especially if this is ‘I’m still in my pirtate era’ Edward. Edward loots what he’s after and runs away before Rico blows everything up is kinda their jam.
Arno: Arno is the type to willingly team up with Rico but try his best to present alternatives to Rico’s usual ‘modus operandi’………. It rarely works. XD
Evie: She doesn’t like him, not at all. She thinks his whole destroying everything shtick is an antithesis to what an Assassin thrived to be and there are so many times she had been sneaking around to kill a target only to be dragged into his missions that she wants to strangle him and…
Jacob: He knows Evie doesn’t like him but he loves the man. Every mission is a rush of adrenaline and Jacob is hooked. Jacob would definitely be the one to truly ally himself with Rico and would even joke that he should join the Rooks.
Bayek: He is reluctant even when Rico is destroying enemy bases and he would try to stop him at times when it’s clear that civilians would be affected by his actions. He knows that Rico is doing what he believes is right and is working for a more morally dubious Company but there are some lines that not even Bayek can cross.

Wollefest Leipzig
What a wonderful day yesterday!!
tl;dr: I need more glass jars X'D
And I'm glad there aren's too many festivals a year XD The way to Leipzig was easy, I left waaay too early so I had time to look around! There was an apple (?) orchard on my way and it looked like a sea of white in the morning sun! It was soo beautiful! (No pictures since I went by car)
Then I met my dear friend at the train station and we walked over to the glass hall of the Neue Messe. The nostalgia. And since the book faire was a few weeks ago the glass panels were already cleaned xD
Tumblr media
It was nice and spacious. so it was possible to look at everything. And to leave money *coughs* much money! and to talk to the two people from my spinning group who were there at the booth of the German hand spinning guild.
Tumblr media
Soo many colours! Soo much beautiful stuff! *.* I could have spent at least another 100€
And the loot:
Tumblr media
front: 70% polwarth/15% Tencel/15% silk from friendly sheep
Spindle: suppoted, maple/coloured wood from the same shop
Nalbinding needle made of horn and scissors from die Garnspinnerin
red Wensleydale locks from... idk anymore
below the locks: 40% wool (Falkland, Merino)/20% llama/20%Eri silk/20% baby camel from frau wöllfchen
violet: 25% Suri Alpaca/25% royal baby alpaca/25% Ramie/25% tussah silk, the colourful bag is 100% tussah silk, and a pair of hand carders *.* (not in picture) from stefis wolle
blue batt: 40% angora/40% silk/20% merino, grey batt: 35% angora/35% silk/25% Merino/5% alpaca from Seidenhase
the bag in the back: 100% baby alpaca raw fleece. So now I know my first scouring project xD also can't reconstruct the booth I got this
the cardboard box: DIY kit for a sewing machine pincushion in grey from Hühnerstall kreativ! was alrady considering to get one last year but I ran out of money.
Not in picture: two stitch markers, a brooch in the form of a black sewing machine and a knitting pattern for wrist warmers.
I only wanted to get 500g of fibres bc of space reasons... well... I failed.
When we were done at the festival, we went to the city to get some ramen for lunch/early dinner which was also very delicious. and after that I returned home (Or almost home. There were traffic problems on my way for which I was waaay too tired so I decided to stop at my dad's and tackle the rest of the way this morning.
Now I'm home and can rest a bit before work.

OK, more Rakha adventures. I'm kind of torn on what to do next here.
I'd honestly really like to take her down to the teahouse to deal with Ethel because I'm intrigued by the weirdly positive conversation they had in the refugee camp, but Ethel is still several levels above us. Same with the other thing Rakha is most interested in at present, which is going to kill the fake paladins chasing Karlach.
So I think our best bet is to clear out the blighted village and head straight for the goblins in the temple right now, and then circle back to everything else.
And the first thing we run into in wandering the village iiiiiiis...
Tumblr media
Poor old Barcus.
Not a scene Rakha is easily able to parse at a glance. Several goblins, calling up mockingly at another creature - equal size, with grey-blue skin - tied to the enormous windmill in front of them and screaming as it spins.
One of the goblins looks over with a nasty smile as Rakha approaches.
Tumblr media
"Look what we got here! Another little birdie wantin' to fly!"
Tumblr media
"Stop this thiiiiiiiiiing!" screams the creature on the windmill with abject panic.
Tumblr media
The goblin laughs gleefully. "Yehehehehe - flap those wings some more an' I'll feed you a worm!" he crows. His eyes narrow at Rakha. "An' you - hope you got a stomach for heights!"
Tumblr media
She doesn't overly care about the tied up creature - but the goblin's mocking tone is unmistakable, as is his air of menace. Goblins, she has learned, are already an acceptable and satisfying target, and this one is making an effort right from the jump to rouse her anger.
It mocks us. Kill. Bleed. Destroy. The beast stirs excitedly.
Were she a calmer person, unburdened by the blood-hungry voice behind her eyes, she might spare a moment to wonder how this little pipsqueak intends to make good on his threat. But she is not, and suddenly all she can focus on is the clean and obvious line of his neck where the right pressure would snap--
Attack the goblins.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
(A/N: I forgot that I left off yesterday having just done the other fight with the Blighted Village goblins, so Rakha had no spell slots left and charged in blindly with only cantrips. Luckily, all my most ill-advised combat choices are still perfectly in-character for her. XD Also luckily, getting Fezzerk down to low health ends the combat early.)
The battle is short and brutal; Wyll follows up with an eldritch blast on the group's leader to supplement Rakha's opening electric shock, and he folds like tissue paper.
Tumblr media
"Stop! I give up!" the goblin yelps, scrabbling backwards out of reach of Rakha's still-glowing hands. "M-mercy! Please!"
He squirms nervously, peering up at Rakha with a desperate, pleading gaze, all the bravado gone. "I know things," he says eagerly. "If you let me live, I'll make it worth your while. I p-promise!"
Tumblr media
Rakha hesitates. The beast is not yet sated, and won't be by anything less than this creature's blood spattered out through the dirt. But he promises knowledge. Answers. Is it possible he knows something she needs?
"Talk and you might live," she says sharply; her voice strains with the effort of holding the beast in check. "If it's worth my while."
Tumblr media
The goblin brightens, sensing hope. "M-my lot are camped nearby!" he stammers out. "I can get you inside. No hassle! You can loot it, do whatever! There's a hidden path, p-past the bridge into the camp. Over to the side before you reach the first guards. Easy!"
Rakha's eyes narrow. Useless. This is not the information she wants - about herself, about the tadpoles, even about the Absolute these goblins apparently follow. All he offers is a way to avoid a fight.
Of all things, Rakha does not want to avoid a fight.
No mercy. Kill the goblin.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The goblin's eyes widen with a moment of pure, exhilarating terror.
"No, wait--" he starts to scream, but the words are cut off into a bubbling gurgle as Rakha's dagger, in her hand in an instant, sinks through his throat. Warm blood spills over her hand and for a moment she is conscious only of the smell of flesh and iron as everything else fades from her.
She comes back to herself kneeling at the goblin's side, staring at his corpse. The others have scattered in terror, and the only remaining sound is the windmill's implacable creaking.
Good... the beast purrs, satisfied.
-----
She does, in the end, let the gnome down, more for curiosity's sake than anything else.
Tumblr media
"Urrrgh. Magga cammara... those pustulent thugs!" He squints up at her warily. "Well. Get on with it! Whatever you are."
Tumblr media
"Get on with what?" Rakha asks, puzzled.
"You saved me," the gnome says with exaggerated patience. "Now you'll extort me. That's how this works, yes?"
Perhaps to her credit, this hadn't even occurred to Rakha. As always, the low-level simmering desire to kill still sits at the back of her mind, but taking his money wasn't even on her radar. "You owe me nothing," she says, as if confused how he came to this conclusion.
Tumblr media
"Nothing?" the gnome says, startled.
Rakha blinks once, then again. "I... *could* extort you, if that's what you want?" she says uncertainly.
He straightens up and scowls in evident irritation. "You're teasing me now," he says. "I'm certain of it. Take my pack, if you can find it. The only reason those goblins caught me was its weight. I'll travel lightly from now on."
Teasing? Rakha had meant the comment entirely seriously. But she just shrugs and doesn't argue the matter, but turns and walks away without another word, leaving the gnome dusting himself off and muttering irritated nonsense behind her.

One Shot Recs
I've either run or played these all as one shots, and are ones I recommended to a friend recently. I also have links at the bottom to a bunch of free quickstarts for more games to look at that might be good for one shots too.
Blue Rose - AGE system from Green Ronin. Romantic fantasy where royalty is chosen by a magical stag and the rich are appropriately taxed. Cool Stunts mechanic to do extra abilities during a turn, easy system to get used to but has that crunchy feel too. Sentient animal race that forms bonds with people is an instant love every time. Free quickstart.
Heart: the City Beneath - Resistance system by Rowan Rook & Decard. A dungeon crawler where the dungeon is an NPC. Take stress until you can't, go out in a blaze of glory with one time Zenith abilities, such as summon a train to wipe out everything in its path - including you. Heart's the love of my life and the first RPG to make me cry(in a good way). It's earnest and grotesque and something about going in knowing you will End, and choosing it, does something to me. Also you can be full of bees(on purpose). Quickstart is PWYW($3ish suggested) but you should give them 1 million dollars actually.
Bones Deep - Troika! system based by @technicalgrimoire. The other love of my life. Be a skeleton on the ocean floor! What happened to your skin? Not important! Do jobs for witches, get credits from the crabs, join the cephalopods in their nefarious plans. The classes are fun(shapeshift your bones, or carve spells into them), and the mix of horror and humor is immaculately weird. Many random tables and a couple scenarios to make it easy to start swimming walking. Also not free($15 for digital), but worth every cent and then some(and the website is awesome resource!).
Index Card RPG - d20 system from Runehammer Games. It's 'simple enough to fit on index card'. There's actually lots of stuff, but it's easy to get a game rolling fast! Be a gerblin, get a bunch of loot. If you're a chronic low roller like me, a nice mechanic is when you fail you get to put points in a pool to use for later rolls. Probably the easiest one on this list to jump to from DnD. Free quickstart.
Wildsea - Wild Words system from Mythworks(took me awhile to find the name for it lol which isn't important just play it xD). You can be a mushroom person piloting a giant whale bone ship with a chainsaw on the front above a sea of trees. The world is so cool and unique. Health is measured in stuff to lose/break and there's a sliding success mechanic(you succeed, you succeed BUT- etc.). Free quickstart.
Tales from the Loop - Year Zero engine by Free League. Be kids in an alternate 80s-90s Scandinavia(or US) setting trying to navigate growing up alongside strange tech and apathetic adults. I really like how they tweaked the system to make it fun being kids for this, with iconic items and luck points, and it's very collab focused. I used this scenario as a one shot. There's a starter's set for $4.99.
Old Gods of Appalachia - Cypher system by Monte Cook. Face horrors man-made and monstrous in the haints and hollers of an alternate 1930ish Appalachia. Based on the podcast(don't know anything about the podcast? Even better imo). Cyphers are neat one-time use items you find during game to make you stronger/invisible/etc. Free quickstart.
Under Hill, By Water - OSR hack by Rise Up Comus. Hobbits! Okay, "halflings" for copyright but...it's hobbits. While some are off saving the world, your greatest worry is finding the lost pig before your wife realizes it's missing. It's not a boring life, just a quiet one. Random table generators for Events to happen each season make this easy to pick up, or come up with your own! $10. We loved this one so much we turned it into a mini campaign.
Mörk Borg - OSR-ish by Free League. Last but not least in the amount of shelf space in my room! The basic rules fit on one piece of paper, but the books are packed with amazing art and delicious disgustingness. It's easy, quick and deadly, with so many random tables for generating baddies, loot, etc., and usually each version of it has a doomsday countdown calendar with horrid new things to add, and then a final horrible event to end the game. It IS very dark and gloom, and I don't normally play it as rough as the OG, which works out fine! You can get a free version of the core book on the website linked, and tons of other free goodies there. My current fav hacks are Pirate Borg and Ork Borg.
List of free Quickstarts I found(and some I'll be playing soon!):
Coriolis
Dune
Fabula Ultima
City of Mist
Rapscallion
Fifth Season
Symbaroum
Dragonbane
SCP
Root
Fantasy AGE
Modern AGE
Myth-Stakes
Dead Air: Seasons
Broken Tales
Legacy: Life Among the Ruins
Heckin' Good Doggos
Star Trek Adventures
Flabbergasted!
Familiars of Terra
Daggerheart
Coyote & Crow
7th Sea
Candela Obscura
Fallout RPG
Happy Gaming!

1, 2, and 3 for Eileen <3
(If I have already asked about her, then I’ll be obscure and say Queen Yharnam actually 😯)
Tumblr media
Glad to see that you never learn to not give me a choice, as usual xD
(Asks from this ( x ) meme)
1) What would their social media page/activity be like
For Eileen: I remember when I first posted a shitpost of different characters in the internet, Rhett (an old mutual from Twitter) suggested that she'd mostly advertise selling loot she got from the hunted hunters, being all like 'hey guys new merch soon! ✌️' and I've never been able to come up with a funnier idea xD I do think that even shitposting aside, her account would be very hmmm… lacking in personal posts? Just what I mentioned, and also various helpful tips/references/explanations threads - made by herself or reblogged!
For Annalise: I kinda imagine her not having a personal page, but instead let her servant(s) run one, passing her words or posting important announcements about Cainhurst! In her throne room, there is a table with the letter on it, that we can presume was the person writing things from her words directly. So I feel like in the internet, it'd be the same! However… I think if she DID want to get a personal account, she'd be a troll there XD Like Wendy's roasting tweets, but in more sophisticated and passive-aggressive manner. And just like that, people would try to provoke her to roast them and boast about it if they succeed :') She'd lock the account and make it more of a vent one after Healing Church cancels her online though :pensive:
2) What animal they remind me of
For Eileen: A hard one, since it is not easy to separate her from crow theme... However, I think despite the lore weight of that theme, in her case it ACTUALLY fits. Like, you could separate Patches and Rom from a spider, but a crow for Eileen just... it just feels so RIGHT, that there is no need for a loreless alternative I think x)
For Annalise: I feel like lynx! She strikes me as a wild feline but a lioness just doesn't work, plus a lion is already a Byrgenwerth thing,. Lynx, on the other hand, is a beautiful wild cat, a capable hunter but also a very smart cat that won't attack a human first! This cat is also associated with both ginger/red and grey color, that fits HER hair. I also think some informational field around this animal plays role - such as ancient legend/superstition in Greece that a lynx could see through objects (that makes me think of her helmet and her guards').
3) My thoughts on their design/aesthetic alone
For Eileen: I do like her design a lot! All lore outside, simply her design is a really cool take on plague doctor aesthetic! She is impossible to confuse with any other character like that, despite fictional universes having plenty of examples! Giving her large cape resembling feathered garb and sticking with dark blue colors was such a cool move! Really, no matter how often aesthetic is used, you can always add a unique twist to it!
For Annalise: Honestly, her appearance with de-melanized hair and helmet covering her entire face is way more cool and mysterious than her normal appearance seen in portrait and concept art. Her design is super minimalist; that dress lacks detail, but it just works so... good? I think it'd kill the vibe if she was in a really detailed dress or some fancy cape in the game. She creates strong impression with her talking and her story, not with how she looks, so lets say uhhh, 'unassuming' appearance is only better!

hello! niki here :) I got the tag game and I’m working on my own post (thank u for tagging me btw! it was so sweet and interesting to see someone being tagged for art!) and I was wondering about the story behind the wip “Beach Hunt” *-* such an intriguing title, tell us more! (if u want to, of course). have a lovely rest of your day :)
Hi there, darling! 💜 I'm so glad to hear you're going to play! :D
As for the "Beach Hunt" WIP, it's actually very simple and straightforward. You see, my friend @sjazna and I have been roleplaying for... over half of my life now (my GOD) and sometimes we like to make things easy for ourselves, but also explore worlds or settings that we know and love.
So, to make a long story short, for one roleplay, we set it in the (somewhat altered) world of Final Fantasy XII, because we both love that game to absolute BITS. And one of the side quests you can do in that game is to go on Hunts, i.e. track down rare monsters and kill them to earn money and loot.
So the drawing is basically two of our characters from that roleplay (one being this dude of mine) going on a Hunt on a beach. Very straightforward xD Though, admittedly, I haven't gotten very far:
Tumblr media
One of the downsides of how my drawing process works is that if I leave a WIP at this stage, it takes A LOT of effort before I manage to push through and actually finish it. Maybe I should just make it a habit to STOP doing that? xD
But yeah! That's "Beach Hunt"! :D

hi! if you're still looking for autumnal writing prompt requests, any of the baking-adjacent ones with vidow would be adorable. they would definitely loot a farmers market, start a kitchen fire, and have fun doing it <3 but no pressure if it doesn't sound fun to write!
I went with prompt #47, "The smell of freshly-baked squash bread."
This one also went longer than I intended xD
Cinnamon Sugar
Pre-relationship Vio/Shadow, rated G, fluff and a bit of angst
This is strategic, Vio reminded himself. It has nothing to do with that... that look on his face when he said he wondered what the harvest festival food tasted like, only being able to watch through the mirror all these yea— No. Stop. This is about keeping him distracted. Every moment he's focused on this, is a moment where he's not actively out causing more destruction.
Not that looting Hyrule Castle for baking supplies is the height of morality, he conceded with an internal wince, as he watched Shadow rummage through the kitchen shelves. But relatively speaking...
"Is this what we're looking for?" Shadow asked, emerging with a recipe book in his hands.
"I think so. Let me check." Vio reached out to take it from him and flipped through it until he found the recipe he was looking for. "Yes, here it is. Pumpkin bread. Also known as the concentrated essence of autumn, in dessert form."
Shadow grinned at him, and it was all too easy to smile back, not an act at all. Vio tore his gaze away, cleared his throat. "It's entirely the wrong time of year for fresh pumpkins, but the recipe calls for puree anyway. There should be jars of it in the pantry. I can go look if you'll get the ovens started?"
He barely waited for Shadow's nod before hurrying away.

Detective Conan Rewatch Episodes 491-504
The long awaited 14 parter! We just about managed it in one night 😅 and just wow yeah a loot happens in the Clash of Red and Black. To sum up my thoughts though it's a lot of wow this is a really excellent showcase of Conan's planning abilities, yes he has help from Shuichi but a lot of the planning that goes into outwitting the organisation here is him and we don't even get to see the full extent of how much he's planned ahead until much later!!!
Regarding individual cases within the the arc: the remittance fraud case read like a PSA in the manga and still does here but nothing wrong with that!
The case with the alibi trick due to slow impending death is neat. Feels like it's been a while since we've had a case where the death was as fucked up like that. Not that it's entirely undeserved 😅
Working out who of the three patients is the organisation member is pretty easy but Conan's approach is cute and funny and it's nice how it doubles as proving his value to the FBI in having him around right now and justifies him being there a bit more. This arc stretches the 'he's just a child and we don't even know he's kudo' with how much the adults listen to him but they make it work with things like this and the previous respect he's won.
The actual 'rescue' of Rena is also great. The simultaneous attacks from the organisation to flood the hospital and also the bombs and Gin's inference of what's going on really sells the danger level in the organisation having smarts that they haven't always achieved before and provides good stakes. I also like that this plot works because it's Akai and Gin knowing how smart the other is, like that one story about the two Chinese generals ya know?
Death of the talent manager is a case I really like actually. The 'magic spell' makes sense actually and is good fun but best in this episode is how quickly they take Agent Camel from 'pls suspect this very suspicious man' to 'hi this man is a bit of a dork actually and very lovable'
As for Shuichi's death, naturally my friend isn't buying it XD but we'll see if they can work it out. Until then imma be insisting he's dead.
You know what tho I feel for Rena. Poor girl is pretty young, was probably pretty fresh in the CIA, thought she was going undercover for a few months and then ended up having to kill her dad, loose her contact with the CIA, become a public figure which puts her brother at risk, be basically an actual member of the organisation because she can't pass any info on, constantly be suspected of being undercover by vermouth, be a part of assassinations, got into a serious traffic accident, a coma, held by the FBI who don't know she's undercover, nearly stabbed by her brother, has a six year old break down this entire story of her past few terrible years and then an FBI agent says that actually they're sending her back undercover and she's also going to have to kill him too actually. Girl deserves a break.

Finished the main storyline of the Cyberpunk DLC...sorry couldn't wait for the mods to stream it xD
I did recorded myself playing the end-part though. Spoiler combat video below cut⬇️⬇️- VERY HARD MODE 😡👍
Tumblr media
⬆️This is my favorite mission heheh ( •̀ ω •́ )✧ and any other missions that involves said-cyberware xD
I started from an old save on "very hard" mode (I usually play on super easy mode...but I thought "hmm, maybe there're some special gameplay on this mode", turns out it's just NPC doing more damages...can't even tell if the loots are better, but I do see legendary items everywhere...) and guess it's because it's on "very hard", the combats were all crazy exciting...xD I'm so used to Baldur's Gate 3 where sometimes you could "talk you way out" _(:з」∠)_

So I plan on replaying all the Dragon Ages once I'm done with Origins and since I have a PC this time, definitely plan on modding. I'm happy that DA2 has mods that go through Vortex because that's what I use, but when I try to mod DAI with its mod manager, it has never worked for me and it makes me sad thinking I won't be able to mod DAI. It's been a while since I tried modding it, so maybe when I try again in the future I can figure it out, but all I remember is it just not working and I could never find out the solution.
DAI Mod Manager is out of date these days. You're better off with the Frosty Mod Manager, as it's generally more powerful and its what most people use. It can run DAI.mod files, though there's a few that won't work for mysterious modding reasons.
Frosty is pretty easy to use, you just have to direct it to DAI's exe, drop the mods you want into the manager, and then just add them to the load order. Just make sure you do the usual checking for mod requirements, compatibilities, any mod order needs, and that you have the required version of Frosty; it's best to grab the dl from the Frosty discord because then you know you're getting the most up to date version that mod authors have likely also been using.
Also, the game has to be run through Frosty in order for the mods to load, otherwise you'll just get the vanilla game. Once you've got your mods set up, just click launch and the manager will set everything up and start the game.
I use way too many mods for any given game, but I can give you some must have recs for DAI.
--
Enhanced Character Creation - unlocks even more sliders, cut content, and removes restrictions so you can customise your character even further.
Modded Hairs in DLCs - speaks for itself, just keeps most modded hairs from reverting to unmodded ones.
Party Banter Tweaks - makes adjustments to the delay between banters, gives a 50-50 chance between regional commentary and conversation, and fixes the long bouts of silence in some levels.
Immersive Starting Armours - it's a DAI.mod that works in Frosty, and it gives you some choice over what your Inky can wear instead of the default coat.
Increased Inventory Capacity + Quick Looting - speaks for itself, because who doesn't have an out-of-hand looting problem?
Less Shards Please - an Oculara Rebalance - reduces the number of shards in each area, as well as the number of shards needed for the temple doors. Makes that whole thing less consuming of the hours of your mortal life.
Complete War Table Operations without Waiting (Frosty) - exactly what it says on the tin. There's a couple of ops that are bugged and you have to wait a minute or two for, but otherwise you can complete missions to your heart's content 💜
I seriously had to restrain myself here, my modlist is ridiculous and these are just a handful of what I consider must haves XD
If you've got any other questions, lemme know and I'll do my best to help out ^^

Aww yeah the copper grind was 100% worth it, that roof looks so much better now. <3 I'm going to do, like, tiered gardens going down the mountainside for crops and whatnot, just to give the land more shape, and to flatten it out a little.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Did a cute lil interior as well. Little workspace in one area, and more of a sitting area on the other side, with some storage under the staircase. I'm all fully organised now, and I dug a storage room into the mountain bc I was already outgrowing the initial storage I put in the second floor lololol. Too much digging. XD
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The furnace wall will turn into an autosmelter in time so I can expand my storage out that way when it's time, but for now, it'll do. I've reserved three columns of chests on the back left side for cobble, dirt, and cobbled deepslate, bc I just have So Much of it.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Enchanting room and bedroom. <3 Bedroom still needs some lil bits of decoration, but it'll do for now. I have sheep and cows and sugarcane growing now so I'll slowly work on getting the bookshelves I need for a full set-up. I'll build the animals a barn at some point as well, so they're not just in random pens down the mountainside.
Tumblr media
Also I've been making staircases everywhere. Up to the top of the mountain, and down to my branch mine. There's tons of flat land on the top of the mountain, and I'd like to build some bigger structures up there, though what yet I don't know. Maybe I'll put the villagers up there idk. I could def fit a nice trading hall up there without needing to terraform so much. idk we'll see.
Tumblr media
I do plan to make a path to the closest village, and I think next time I play, I may do that, and spend some time over there getting some villagers levelled up. It's by a meadow biome, and there's plenty of flat-ish space for crop farming and tree farming for emerald trades. I'd like to get a mending villager, and also a leatherworker so I can get a saddle and acquire one of the horses or donkeys I've seen around the place to make the journey quicker.
I'd like to bring the villagers back to my base eventually, when I decide to switch this world from peaceful to easy, so I can get an iron farm up and running, but I need to decide where tf the villagers are going first. I'll do the same iron farm I have in my other java world bc it's so stupidly small and simple to build, and it has given me SO MUCH MORE IRON THAN I COULD EVER POSSIBLY USE omg. I just need to figure out where the villagers are going, and then figure out how tf I'm getting them there lol. :D
Also guess who managed to get lost TWICE today and had to dig tunnels to get back again lololol. :D Once whilst bringing cows back from the village, and once while accidentally going caving and finding a deep dark biome and forgetting my way back. Also I am disappointed to discover I just have a gigantic deep dark biome under the mountain, not an ancient city, so no loot for me. It's in the biggest fkn cave I've ever seen, stretched hundreds of blocks. Sadge.
Also I have decided I'm not going to bother upgrading to netherite on my other java solo world before I upgrade the world. I have toolsmiths and armoursmiths for days, tons of diamonds, I play with keep inventory on, and I Do Not Want to go netherite mining, so. I'll make do with diamond. I will trim the world a little tho, cut out those chunks around the mountains and the woodland mansion just so I can be sure I'll get those Vex armour trims. >_>
Oh. And remind me tomorrow to fix up my minecraft build tags, bc I want to be able to find each world, and now that I have two java solo worlds, I should probably make them distinguishable. So I'll do a post about that tomorrow. And then maybe catch up on my dash bc I've been ignoring it bc I'm so addicted to 1.20 omg.

Date: 11.09.2020
Fandom: One Piece
Characters: Kid Pirates (ccs + ocs/sonas), Donquixote Doflamingo
Theme: The freedom and untamed nature the Kid Pirates are experiencing
Crossposted: One Piece Amino
Tumblr media
The title is a Latin phrasing thingy (I hope that's translated correctly) that means "Intertwined and untamable"; with "intertwined" or "woven together" (nexilis), and "untamable"/"untamed" or "fierce" (indomitus). I'm bad at the whole how to title thing so I found it easier to go with some fancy word instead >.>
Also, ye, I felt the need to write something more because - as I found out after "King and Queen", it's hella fun to write something that isn't a fanfiction [chapter]. My creative brain cells died off in the middle of writing this past the first 1-2 stanzas cuz I had to charge my phone, so it took a TAD longer to write this than I had wanted. But here it is~!
Before we eventually start: I intended to write this focussing solely on Metal Puma (pairing between Eustass Kid and my OC Light). In the end, I went a partially different path and included Heavenly Hound (pairing between Doflamingo and @silvernyxchariot 's sona Manda/Nyx) and Bloody Typhoon (pairing between Emma and @/idonthaveacluewhatsgoingonhere's [insta] oc Osiris) as well as changing most of the poem to match all three couples (and to be told from a pirate's POV, technically from a Kid Pirates'). Well, one way or another •^• I'm proud of the lines referring to them, tbh •3•
Last but not least: Find the FOB reference~ xD
Tumblr media
Say, what is it you know about a pirate's life?
Is it the sweet freedom for what we all strive?
Chasing the late King's chest, old, full of gold?
Oh, poor rat, are you wrong - but just as bold!
Albeit, you landlubber, this does not go for us all.
We notorious Kid Pirates, too, aim for the crown.
We often drive each other up against the wall.
Yet none would not let a single one of us drown.
Are you planning to leave a member behind?
The Hell! Are you out of your own right mind?!
No, we would not discard even a single mate.
We all will stick together to face their fate.
To this brutal crew, it is basically as easy as pie:
You underestimate us, what a horrible mistake.
We will stay side by side, or we all are gonna die.
Under no circumstances, to kill, we don't hesitate.
Tumblr media
Only destruction alone isn't our sole company,
As much as it's death, out on this troubled sea,
While wreaking havoc out on all those islands.
Our loot: supplies, gold, glittering diamonds.
Some grew close enough to become pairs of lovers.
They claim: "Though I may be rotten to the core-"
With their partner, could show their true colours.
"- Nonetheless, I shall cherish you forevermore!".
Each gave up their heart life had made hard.
He, who sings of love, must be a foolish bard.
Like a pair of magnets, we pushed and pulled.
Rarely ever could they one another get lulled.
This especially goes for our dear captain and cook.
Like Emma's and Osiris', their love far from poor.
Merely few weeks, talks, looks, was all that it took.
But neither is Sloth's and Joker's deep red amour.
Tumblr media
Mutual passion and love - deep and profound.
Easily turned each other's world upside down.
Side by side, they strike down their enemies.
Their legacy will be remembered for centuries.
Only to one another they got themselves bound.
Paired for the rest of their upcoming lifetime.
Thought to be lost, their other half they found.
Watching a dawn, purple to orange, on the horizon.
When one found themselves in danger -
Going out from rats - a random stranger.
Nobody else touches them but they alone.
Saving their love with a "Darlin', hello~.".
Never ever they would admit to be jealous.
Soon, rat, their other half will get protective.
Especially not when in front of their precious.
One of them straight-forward, one aggressive.
Tumblr media
Not even mother sea could get them tamed.
Young, wild and free - about that unashamed.
Beware, you landlubber, because they're near.
Don't enrage them - or else, you'll disappear.

OK, did some equipment cleanup and we're off back into the Lower City, continuing to scour the place top to bottom for sidequests!
Next up, I believe, is going to be Sorcerous Sundries, so we've dropped Minsc from the party temporarily so that Gale can come along.
Decided to stop first at a smaller shop nearby, though, and oh boy, oh boy, look who we get to see again!
Tumblr media
Lovely. Derryth has not really been high on the list of people Hector was hoping for a reunion with, but this isn't a surprise, per se; she did mention she and Baelen had an apothecary shop in Baldur's Gate (they were in the Underdark looking for supplies for it).
Baelen's here too, still just as addled as he was underground; he doesn't remember Hector at all. Derryth does, though:
Tumblr media
"Huh. It's you. I never forget a face. Noblestalk is why the customers came. We were out on our arses soon enough without it. Too bad my worthless fella couldn't get one simple thing right in his life."
Pleasant as ever.
Tumblr media
"Are you glad to be back in Baldur's Gate?" Hector asks - polite small talk in spite of his general dislike of her.
"Oh, sure," she says sardonically. "Cultists on the loose, a murderer hacking people to bits, and big metal freaks stomping hither, thither, and yon. Couldn't be more delighted."
Well, on the bright side, two of those three issues are now dealt with, Hector thinks. You're welcome, by the way.
"How are you and Baelen getting on?" he asks.
"He's wrecking my head as always," she grouses. "Makes himself useful with a broom from time to time, at least."
Lovely woman. (Of course, based on what Derryth has said, Baelen was pretty unpleasant himself before his mind started to go, so it's really just a mess all around.)
The bright side of all this, however, is that Derryth sells both hill giant strength potions and giant fingers for crafting our own, at a higher rate than elsewhere, so - unfortunately - we'll likely be coming back here a lot. I had Hector break into their basement and steal a bunch of stuff out of her chests, though, because she annoys me and Hector both. XD
Loot here included a key to their safety deposit box in the counting house, too, so I'll have to decide whether she annoys Hector quite that much. Also found a hidden room for brewing potions which was quite dramatic looking and appears to be their easy access to the Underdark, judging by the bibberbangs around. Had to be somewhat careful while looting the room to avoid making them blow up.
Tumblr media
Nothing particularly useful down here but did snag some alchemical ingredients.
