Last Forever | Eddie Roundtree x Reader
Request from anonymous: hii!! i love your eddie fics, you’re an amazing writer! i was wondering if i could put in a request where eddie and reader are both in the band and as they’re up on stage they look at each other while performing (kinda like billy and daisy i guess?). Karen and Camila notices this and they talk about it with reader and reader is in denial because her and eddie are good friends and she doesn’t want to jeopardize that (they became friends over their hatred of billy😭). but they end up together in the end though? thank you💕💕
Warnings: Angst, fluff, profanities, kissing

Everytime you walk out on stage, you instantly get high off of the thrill of seeing the crowd bursting with energy. The audience cheers as the band walks out onstage, jumping up and down while waving their hands in the air. You'll never get tired of this. To think you had once believed you'd never make it out of Pittsburgh—now you were performing in front of a sold-out concert in the heart of New York.
You thought back to your first performance, back when the band was called "The Dunne Brothers." It seemed crazy to you, now, that you were so nervous to go out on stage. There were, at most, thirty people who couldn't care less about what you guys were playing.
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
Holding your tambourine tightly in your hand, you peeked your head out from behind the curtains, tapping your foot against the wooden floor. You were nervous, anyone in the band could see that.
You felt the warmth of a hand on your back, an arm slinging over your shoulders. Turning your head, your eyes meet Eddie's.
A forced smile found itself on your face as he spoke, "Nervous?"
"Can you tell?" You asked, bowing your head.
"Only a little," He smiled, "Look, it's going to be okay. Just pretend they aren't out there. They don't give a damn what we're doing anyway. This is just practice for when we make it big."
Taking a deep breath, your eyes met his again, your foot going still, "Thank you."
"You're going to do great, Y/N."
"You are, too."
Sure enough, Eddie was right. Barely anyone in the crowd, except one woman who was drunk off her ass, cared about what you guys were playing. A few people swayed to the music, but few looked up on stage.
While singing backup, gently tapping the tamorine on your upper thigh, you looked over at him, a smile plastered on your face. He returned the sentiment, nodding his head as he played.
That was the first, of many, times Eddie Roundtree eased your fears.
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
Stepping up to your mic, you looked around at the band. Daisy and Billy were waving at the crowd, who's cheering only got louder as they do so. Meanwhile, Karen was laughing at something Graham was saying to her—and Warren was fiddling with his drumsticks, getting his energy from the audience.
Then there was Eddie. He was tapping on his guitar, a gentle smile on his face as he took it all in. New York City. Who would've known?
You looked over at him, as you had done before every single performance in the entirety of your career, and smiled.
He smiled back, nodding. This time, your eyes stayed locked on each other's for a second longer than they should have.
The two of you turned back to the roaring crowd, listening for the cue of when to start playing.
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
Things had been different since moving out to LA, especially after the first tour. Billy was more involved with Camila and Julia, only going to mandatory practices and opting to spend more time with his girls. Warren, Karen, and Graham were out doing everything and everyone under the sun. You expected Eddie to go with them, as he had before the band had gone on tour. But he stayed back with you.
You weren't exactly sure why, but one conversation stuck in your head as a possibility to him stopping his wild streak.
The two of you had been messing around with a melody when he looked up at you, asking, "Why don't you go out with us anymore?"
You had hesitated, initially unsure of how to answer, "How honest do you want me to be?"
"As honest as you can be."
Taking a deep breath, you leaned towards him, "I saw what drugs and alcohol did to Billy, what it did to the people who loved him. I don't want to make that same mistake. I don't ever want to put myself or the people I love in that position. When the right person comes along, I'll know. But that person won't be out being reckless."
Eddie was silent for a while before he excused himself, leaving his guitar propped up on the couch. You weren't sure what he was doing, but you did hear him rummaging in one of the rooms upstairs and then the toilet flushing.
He came back downstairs a few minutes later, his hands in his pockets, asking a simple question, "Want to keep practicing?"
You nodded, happy that what you had to say didn't ruin your friendship. As he played, you silently hoped he wouldn't notice your fleeting glances towards him.
Although you'd never admit it to him, you were aware of your feelings for him. Unbeknownst to you, so were Camila and Karen.
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
Daisy knew how to work a crowd—it was first nature to her. Her movements were fluid, captivating everyone's attention as she sang.
"You found me in flames/it's the daylight of change," She and Billy began, "Baby, all that stuff is done."
Your part came in a split second later as you sand backup, "You're my morning sun/Aurora, you're the one/You're my mornint sun."
While the lead vocalists continued, you focused on matching the rhythm with your tamboruine, swaying as you shook it back and forth.
When you got to the chorus, you made it all of three seconds before looking at Eddie, "Oh, I kinda think I wanna make it last forever... Oh, I kinda think I wanna make it last forever..."
To your surprise, he was looking back at you, mouthing the words back to you.
"Oh, I kinda think I wanna make it."
In that moment, there was nobody else on stage except for the two of you, looking longingly into each other's eyes as you sang back and forth to each other.
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
"Are you ever going to tell him how you feel?" Karen asked you, rather impatiently, as you set the table for dinner one night.
Camila looked up from her spot over the stove in the kitchen, as if she were wondering the same thing.
"What?" Your cheeks suddenly felt hot and you chose to look anywhere but in her direction.
Karen crossed her arms, "Cam, are you going to take this or am I?"
Camila came out of the kitchen, setting a dish towel on the counter, "Y/N, we've seen the way you and Eddie look at each other. It's before every performance, every practice session... Really, anywhere."
"Because we're friends."
"That's the biggest load of bullshit I've ever heard," Karen said, rolling her eyes, "I don't know whether you guys are head over heels in love or if it's just intense eyefucking—but you've got to take care of it one way or another."
Camila held back a laugh, "What we're trying to say is, what's the point in not telling him? What do you have to lose?"
"Everything."
"What? You won't lose us or the band. You know that."
You tried to stop the tears from falling, but that proved to be difficult, "No, you don't understand."
Camila moved towards you, rubbing your back as Karen pulled out a chair for you to sit down on.
"Then what is it, honey?"
"He is everything."
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
Your eyes are locked with one another, unable to put your attention anywhere else. For once, you don't give a damn what anyone thought. All you care about is what happens after the concert.
"Where did you turn... When you needed tenderness..." You sing softly, chest heaving.
You saw, Eddie's breath hitch in his throat, biting his lip.
"Where did you turn... When you needed tenderness."
Your mind drifts back to all the touches you had shared over the years—his hand on your shoulder, your palm pressed on his chest while the two of you danced around the living room on Christmas. It was all clicking.
You kept singing, "When you reached out for my touch...and I couldn't give you much...Of all the time we lost..."
Eddie tilts his head, thinking about where the two of you would be now if he had manned up and told you how he felt four years ago.
"While I was running from your light..."
You had spent years running from your feelings—that wasn't an option anymore.
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
Your first performance in front of over a thousand people had you a nervous wreck all over again. You could handle a couple hundred—but enough to populate your hometown? It sent you spiraling.
Eddie found you pacing back and forth behind stage, your hands running over your face to try and calm your nerves.
"Hey, hey, it's alright," He whispered, gently taking you by the shoulders, "This isn't our first rodeo, right? We're the real deal now, Y/N/N. It's alright."
He pulled you into a hug, running his hand over your hair as you breathed into his chest, "Breathe with me, okay? Listen to my heart, alright? Listen to the beat."
His voice alone managed to calm you down—paired with his touch, you didn't know what to do with yourself.
The two of you pulled away from each other, and he looked you up and down, "Ready, sweetheart?"
You nodded, causing him to smile. He pressed a kiss to your temple, "You've got this, don't worry."
The both of you ignored the looks you got from the rest of the band while you walked on stage.
During the performance, it became too much. Your fists clenched up and your breath work wasn't quite right.
Taking notice of it, Eddie discretely moved towards you, passing it off as him being really passionate playing the bass. In reality, he just wanted to be there with you, reassuring you that you'd be okay.
He succeeded, too. Having him a foot away versus the usual six helped in ways you couldn't have imagined.
From then on, he always played a little closer to you.
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
As soon as the band went on a short break halfway through the concert, Eddie made a beeline towards you behind stage.
He cupped your face, pulling you into a kiss the two of you had been waiting for the entirety of your careers.
Your hands found the collar of his shirt, pulling him as close to you as physically possible. His hands slid down to your waist, finally pulling back to catch his breath.
"I've been waiting to do that since the day I met you."
His forehead pressed against yours, relief washing over him, "God, I love you. Was that too soon? I'm sorry—"
You pulled him back in for a quick kiss, "Not soon enough."

Your uniform had been discarded long ago. Rough hands tangled through your hair, swollen lips, your skin hot to the touch. You were in the middle of your shift at The Whisky, but you weren’t the only waitress here who had disappeared to get fucked backstage before.
You had been eye fucking the bassist in this band called The Six ever since he played the first chord on his guitar. He knew it too, he knew it because he was eye fucking you as well, undressing you in his mind.
Once their set was finished, you offered him a free beer and the next thing you knew, you were leading him backstage, knocking over a bunch of shit along the way, too busy trying too undress one another to care.
“What’s your name?” He whispered against your lips. “I’m Eddie.”
“Shut up and fuck me, Eddie,” you smiled, eyes full of lust. Eddie pressed you against the wall, your legs wrapping around his torso.
“Such a needy little thing, aren’t you?” He teased, slipping his length inside of you. Your eyes rolled into the back of your head. “C’mon, what’s your name, sweetheart?” Eddie asked again, your hands wrapped around his neck, bouncing yourself up and down on top of him.
“You don’t need to know my name,” you replied, eyes squeezing shut, soft moans escaping your lips. Eddie braced himself, one hand on the wall behind you, the other wrapped around your waist, letting you take control.
“My cock is inside of you, I think I should know your name,” Eddie laughed.
You slapped a hand over his mouth, narrowing your eyes at him, your movements steady, skin slapping against skin. “Y/N,” you finally said, removing your hand from his mouth and replacing it with your lips.
Your tongue ran over his teeth, the both of your fighting for dominance, but you won in the end. Your hands moved from his neck to his cheeks, holding him as close as possible.
Anyone could walk backstage and find the pair of you if they wanted too, but neither of you seemed to care. The only thing you were focused on was your orgasm.
You pressed your forehead against Eddie’s, your movements steady. “Fuck,” Eddie groaned and the sweet sound of his voice alone made you whimper.
“Do you fuck every waitress who gives you free beers?” You asked.
“Do you fuck every bassist in all the bands that perform here?” He asked.
“No,” you replied. “I normally go for the lead singer.”
The mere thought of you ending up in this position with Billy pissed Eddie off to no return. His eyes narrowed, snapping his hips into yours, offering you no mercy. He had you sobbing into his shoulder, making you feel things that you didn’t even know you were capable of feeling.
You felt his lips trail along your jawline and down to your neck, sucking bruises into your skin. The pleasure you were feeling was overwhelming, your nails digging into his bare shoulders, whining and moaning against him.
“Lead singers are overrated, Y/N,” Eddie said, his lips moving away from your neck. Tears brimmed the corners of your eyes, trying to focus on what he was saying but it was so hard when he was making you feel so good.
“I know that now!” You cried out, your legs turning to jelly, pressure building within your core. Your body slumped against Eddie’s, letting him do all the work. “Please… just keep fucking me,” you whispered into his shoulder.
Eddie pushed your back flat against the wall, two hands resting above your head, fucking you relentlessly. So hard that you knew you’d be sore and hobbling by tomorrow.
Your eyes fluttered shut, submerging yourself into the pleasure, soft moans and whines escaping your lips every few seconds, fuelling Eddie to keep going even though his legs were aching.
“I’m gonna make you cum harder than you ever have in your entire life,” Eddie said, his voice low, and sultry. It made you shiver, it brought you even closer to your sweet release, but what really pushed you over the edge was when he pushed his lips forcefully against yours and started fucking into you even harder than he already was.
You cried against his lips, your legs shaking, hips convulsing. Eddie knew it too, you could tell by the way he smirked into the kiss. You opened your eyes, staring up at him, a fucked out look on your face.
“Just a little while longer,” Eddie said. “You can handle it.” Your eyes fluttered shut and he gripped your chin, forcing you to open them. “Keep those pretty eyes on me, sweetheart,” he demanded, making you shiver.
With one last snap of his hips, Eddie’s release washed over him, spilling his seed inside of you, pulling away from you and slowly placing you on the ground. He picked up your uniform for you, followed by your bra and panties.
“Can I take you out on a date?” He asked, also getting dressed himself.
You laughed, “you can’t be serious.”
EDDIE ROUNDTREE: And that’s how I met my wife.
Y/N ROUNDTREE: I definitely wasn’t expecting to marry him, but life works in mysterious ways…

How They All Found Out || ER
You and Eddie were doing a good job of sneaking around with your realationship. But slowly, as you two start to fall more and more in love, it gets harder to hide your feelings from the band.

You and Eddie starting seeing eachother on the break of the SevenEightNine tour. It was perfect timing, you didn’t have to hide, since it was always just the two of you. You got along so well, It felt like you were the only people in the world. Nothing else mattered. The two of you would lie in bed all day, no worries but eachother. It was all perfect. That was, until, Billy got out of Rehab and the band got together again. Then everything got hard.
Eddie Roundtree (Rhythm Guitarist): That first month or two, man, those were the days. Just me and my girl, nothing else to worry about. It was all so easy. And don’t get me wrong, when we [the band] got back together, I was thrilled. It just meant things would get harder for Y/n and me.
You and Eddie were lying in bed together one morning, the sun shining through the windows of your now shared bedroom. Your head was lying on his chest while his hand rested on your lower back. The only thing you were wearing was (his) a tshirt and your underwear. It was a perfect, peaceful scene. But, inside your head, everything was the opposite. Billy had just gotten out of Rehab. Which would normally be good, but all it did was make things more complicated. The band would start practicing again. And you didn’t want what you had with Eddie to just stop. You hadn’t talked about what you were, but you were sure he would want to stay together. He acted like your boyfriend. And that was all the mattered, right?
“Eddie, what do you think will happen when we start practicing again?” You asked, tentatively. You had been thinking about asking this question for a while. If Eddie was going to end it, you wanted it over with. Rip the band-aid off, right? He turned his head toward you and smiled slightly. “Well, what do you want to do?” He started, “I mean, I dont want to stop this. I like you, a whole lot.” You felt your face heat up. You felt like a 13-year-old girl with her first crush, but you didn’t care. Eddie had that effect on you. You replied, “Me too. It’s just- Would you mind if we don’t tell the others? Just for a while.”
Y/N L/N (Bassist): When you’re a woman in a band, people say a lot of shitty things to you. They’ll question your ability to play, say others are better than you. Back then, what other people thought meant a lot to me. I didn’t want to be “Eddie Roundtree’s Girlfriend.” I wanted to be known as me.
You could see his smile falter. You didn’t want this, but it was for the best. The best for you, atleast. You’d still have lots of time together, right? Everything would be the same. That’s what you kept telling yourself.
“Yeah, sure. As long as I get to keep kissing you.” Eddie said. You were glad he was taking it well. He puts a smirk on leans over to kiss you. You laugh and put both your hands on the side of his face to pull him in. He adjusts himself to be on top of you.
Maybe this would work out better than you thought.
✧・゚: *✧・゚:*:・゚✧*:・゚✧
Practice with the band has been going great. It was four months after Billy had gotten back. He was doing a lot better, and you were proud of him. You guys were playing more than ever, just trying to make up for lost time. That meant waking up early and staying in the studio til the late hours of the night.
The downside of this was that you and Eddie got less and less time together. You could see his longing glances across the studio, when the rest of the band was there. He just wanted to be together, which you could understand. You would take every opportunity possible to sneak into his room, most times just to talk. You wanted to be near him, to hear his voice and feel his touch. It was getting increasingly harder to not do so in front of others.
One night, after a long practice, you were struggling to sleep. It had been happening for nights and nights in a row. You weren’t sure why, most likely due to all the stress of the rehearsals. You had tried everything from counting sheep, flipping yor pillow, you even smoked a cigarette or two. But nothing helped. After tossing and turning for what seemed like hours, you decided you would head into the kitchen to get a glass of water.
You slowly rolled out of your bed, your feet touching the cold floor beneath you as you walked to your door. You quietly opened the door, slipping out of your bedroom. The last thing you wanted was to wake the whole house up at this hour. Quickly, you scurried into the kitchen. You stuck your hands out to feel around for the cabinet holding the cups. But, instead of your hands finding a knob, you felt a mop of soft, blonde hair.
“What the hell,” Eddie quickly turned around to face you, loudly shutting the cabinet holding the glassware. “Eddie!” You scolded him for being so loud. You placed a hand over his mouth, symbolizing for him to be quiet. He tried to stifle a laugh as he grabbed the hand in front of his mouth, encasing it in his much larger hand. “Funny seeing you here, baby.” Eddie smirked as he placed one hand firmly on your hip, still holding one of your hands. You laughed quietly, a smile reserved only for him starting to appear on your face. He leaned down to kiss you on the forehead. “I’ve missed you.” Eddie said. You laughed quietly, quickly responding, “I saw you five hours ago, remember?” He rolls his eyes at you. “Not like that. I miss being alone with you.” He says suggestively. He slowly starts tracing patterns on your hand with his thumb.
“Well, we have alone time right now… why not make good use of it?” You smirk. Eddie leaned down to kiss your jaw, moving down until he reached your neck. Your wrapped your hands around his neck, slightly turning your head to give him better access. You were fully wrapped up in the kisses before you realized where you were. He was kissing you in the middle of the kitchen! Anyone could walk in! “Eddie,” you started, but he ignored your call. “Eddie!” you said it much louder this time, but not loud enough for anyone else to hear. He stopped his trail of kisses, leaning his forehead against yours. He was so close to your lips, if he leaned in any further they would touch.
“We shouldn’t be doing this right now. Atleast not here.” You said. You bit your lip immediately after, pulling back your words. You knew it wasn’t right, but you missed him so much you couldn’t help it. “I know you don’t mean that.” Eddie said, tauntingly. He pulled a hand up to your lip, untucking it from under your teeth. “You bite your lip when you lie, sweetheart. You’re not very good at it.” He whispers to you. What happens next, you couldn’t control. You crashed your lips into his, hungrily looking for more.
Eddie places his hands under your thighs, and you jump up, wrapping your legs around him. His hands trace circles on your bare skin, making your heart jump. While your lips are still on his, he carries you to the counter, placing you down in front of him. His body is between your legs. Eddie is kissing down your neck, leaving light hickeys wherever he wants too. Those will be a problem for tomorrow. But right now, you’re fully in the moment. His hands are now under your shirt, and you can feel your heartbeat rising.
You’d been waiting for this forever. At this point, you’d forgotten you were in the middle of the kitchen. You needed him, and he needed you. The last time you were able to be together like this was weeks ago. All the pent-up tension between the two of you was being released with each kiss. Eddie grabs the end of your shirt, signalling for you to take it off. You do, and he kisses your shoulders and chest. But all the sudden, he stops. You look down at him, confused.
“Eddie? Eddie what happen-“
“Woah.” Warren says, startling you.
You turn your head, your face displaying total shock. Of course, someone would walk in! Just your luck. You quickly pull your shirt over your head and hop off the counter. This would take some explaining.
“You guys? You guys are hooking up?” Warren continues. His mouth is wide open. He’s laughing, rather loudly too. “I would’ve never guessed, man!”
The three of you stand there, all in total shock, for about a minute.
Warren Rojas (Drummer): It was crazy. I mean, we all knew they [Y/n and Eddie] had something. But I would’ve never known they’d been fucking. I always wondered why they didn’t tell anyone.
“So,” Eddie said. He looked at you for guidance.
“Please don’t tell anybody, Warren. Please.” You were practically begging him. You looked at him with your best puppy dog eyes and pleading smile. You could feel Eddie brushing his fingers against yours, almost for comfort.
“You guys don’t have to worry about me. I‘ll keep your secret.” He said. “I better be best man at the wedding, though.” Warren laughed.
“It’s not-“ Eddie said.
“Yeah, yeah. Can I atleast get some food though?” He said motioning to where you guys were standing, blocking the fridge.
You both nodded and scooted over very akwardly. You looked up at Eddie and all you could do was laugh, leaning into him. You placed your head on his chest, and he reached his hand up to cradle the back of your head. You were both laughing quietly. The situation was really ridiculous. You had been so careful, you never thought you would get caught. But it’s only one person who knows, right? And Warren wouldn’t dare tell anybody.
When Warren finished with whatever he was getting from the fridge, he started to walk away. When he was almost to his door, he turned to face you and Eddie. He looked like he wanted to say something but decided against it. He settled with an akward wave. With that, Warren was gone.
“So, where were we…” Eddie said, slowly starting to kiss yor jaw. You put your hands out, putting space between the two of you.
“I’d rather not have the entire band walk in on us, Eds.” You say. Your decision still stands, about not wanting the whole world to know of you and Eddie’s realationship. If you could even call it that, really. “But, maybe if we went to one of our bedrooms…” You trail off. Eddie doesn’t have to hear anymore. He is dragging you off to his room.
Eddie Roundtree: That was a good night for me. For us. I think it really made me realize what I wanted for us. Y/n still didn’t want to come out in the open with our realationship, which I understood. But that didn’t mean we couldn’t have something just between us. So I asked her to be my girlfriend that night. And she said yes. *smiles*
✧・゚: *✧・゚:*:・゚✧*:・゚✧
About two months or so after the Warren incident, the band was back in the studio recording. You were working with Teddy Price again. It was a miracle he let you back, considering how terribly the last tour ended. He suggested you bring in a new voice, someone who could bring more traction to the band. He suggested Daisy Jones. So, the band got to work on your new song Aurora, with the help of the wonderful Daisy.
One late night, the whole band was out with Daisy at Chateau Marmont. It was one of her many parties, which were always marvelous. You were wearing a short black skirt, matched with a white halter top with red floral detailing. You put together this outfit especially for a lipstick you wanted to wear, that was gifted to you by Karen, for your birthday. It was a gorgeous deep red color that complimented your skin perfectly.
You arrived at the Chateau a little later than everyone else, and you quickly found who you were looking for. Eddie. You made your way across the room to him. His face lit up with an all too familiar boyish smile. Eddie was standing alone next to the drinks, nursing a beer. He reached down to the cooler and grabbed you one, popping it open for you.
“Here you go, Y/n.” Eddie said while holding out his hand with the open beer. You took it with a smile.
“I’ve been looking for you all night, baby. Where have you been?” said Eddie. He takes a quick sip of his beer, admiring you. You can see his eyes flick up and down, from your legs up to your face. You could tell they lingered on your chest, which was exactly what you wanted. “I like this shirt.” He says, winking. You scan the room, making sure nobody is watching. You slowly take his hand and place a sloppy kiss on his lips. You start to lead him into a close bathroom.
“Are you sure Y/n? I mean we just got here, and you said you still wanted to keep us a secret.” Eddie says, looking at you concerningly. But you can tell, by how Eddie is looking at you and how he’s standing, with one hand holding yours and the other tight on your ass, that he really wants to sneak into the bathroom aswell. He was looking out for you, which was always something you admired about him. He was always considerate.
“It’ll be quick.” You smirk. You both make it into the restroom. You turn and lock the door behind you.
Around 30 minutes later, Eddie emerges from the bathroom. You both decided he would go first, just in case someone you two knew was by the door. This way nobody would become suspicious. He walks out back into the party, which has gained guests and volume while the two of you were away. He navigates through the crowd to find another beer. While searching for that, he finds two people from the band. Karen and Daisy were standing in the corner together. They wave Eddie over and he walks towards them.
“Hey Eddie, where have you been?” Says Karen. Daisy and Karen both smile at him, whilst exchanging looks. Eddie doesn’t catch it at first. He starts a conversation with them. But soon, after a while, Karen and Daisy burst out into a fit of laughter.
“What, what is it?” Eddie says, irriatated. Are they laughing at him? He hasn’t done anything embarrassing. Karen and Daisy don’t answer his question, they just continue to giggle.
“What’s funny?” Eddie restates himself. Now, he is just as much confused as he is annoyed. Did Billy tell them something? At this point, he was ready to leave and find somebody else to talk to. He was just about to walk away when Daisy grabs his hand.
“No, Eddie, wait,” She says between laughs, “We’ll tell you what’s funny.”
So, he turns backs around and crosses his arms. He could be doing much better things than being laughed at by two band mates. He looks around the room, impatiently waiting for their answer.
“Did you realize you have lipstick on your face, Eddie? Red lipstick?” Daisy says.
Oh.
That’s what they were laughing at.
“And it looks an awful lot like the one I got Y/n for her birthday.” Karen adds.
Karen Sirko (keyboardist): Oh my God! It was hilarious! Eddie comes out, and he has lipstick everywhere. His lips, his neck. And at first I was like, “Oh, good for him.” but then I realized that it was Y/n’s lipstick! The one i got her for her birthday, even. God, that was the highlight of my week.
Eddie reaches a hand up to his lips, and sure enough, deep, red lipstick residue is on his hands. The trail goes down his neck, too. He keeps trying to rub it off to the best of his ability. He laughs akwardly, looking down. Daisy senses the akwardness and tries to comfort him.
“Hey, i’m really happy for you guys. You two will be a great match, i’m sure.” She smiles, placing a reassuring hand on his shoulder.
Eddie looks up, smiling back at her. “Would it be okay if you guys didn’t tell anybody for now? We aren’t ready to tell everyone yet.” He says.
Daisy Jones (vocals): Eddie and Y/n? They were adorable. You could just tell that he was in love with her. When he would play, the only person his eyes went to was Y/n. As for Y/n, she was the same. When he walked into the room, you could see her smile. If I wanted my future to be like anyone’s, It would probably be their’s.
Karen and Daisy both nod. Eddie felt really bad about them finding out. Y/n had asked him to keep it a secret and he was dumb and messed it up. But, hey, Warren already knows. So two more people shouldn’t be so bad? And Eddie trusts Karen. He wasn’t sure about Daisy yet, but Y/n seemed to love her. He’d have to tell Y/n soon.
Y/n L/n: I wasn’t mad at all. It was really my fault for not noticing the lipstick. I helped him wipe it off after that, and I have to admit, he looked really silly. I can’t believe he left the bathroom looking like that.
✧・゚: *✧・゚:*:・゚✧*:・゚✧
It was Julia’s first birthday. Camila had put together a celebration with balloons, banners, and an adorable little pink cake. It was all out together in their new house’s backyard. They had a housewarming party a while ago. It was one of the best parties you’d ever been too. Being surrounded by friends who loved you always made you feel better.
At Julia’s party, you and Eddie were playing with her. She had brought a couple Barbies outside and was acting out a scene with them. You and Eddie were doing it with her, going along with whatever she says. “We go swim!” Julia moves her Barbie over to a nearby puddle, grabbing both your hands and making you move yours over too. “Weeeeee!” Julia makes the Barbies jump up and down in the puddle. While they were jumping, she moves them around wildly in your direction and they splash your sundress.
“Woah! Julia!” You say, holding her hand to settle her down. “You got me all wet!” You joke, fake scolding. She giggles, apologizing, “I’m sorry Aunt Y/n!” You smile at her. How could you be mad at such a cute face? You grab Julia’s hand while standing up, and point in her dad’s direction. “It’s okay, Jules. Why don’t you go find your dad while I go clean up?” She follows your directions and runs over to her father, Billy.
You stand up, swiftly brushing the dirt and grime off your hands and dress.
“You’re really good with Julia, Y/n” Eddie says.
You smile widely at him, laughing happily. “You think so? I always imagined myself with kids when I was younger.”
“It just got me thinking. We could do that one day.” Eddie says, looking down at you fondly.
“Have kids?” You ask. It was true, you always thought you’d have a family. Two, even three kids. Maybe a dog, too. But that was all back in Pittsburgh. You weren’t sure if that life would fit into your life style now.
“Yeah. Big house, white picket fence. Some kids running around. Wouldn’t you like that, Y/n?” He says. You two were dangerously close, in the middle of Billy and Camila’s yard. Everyone you knew was there. But at the moment, it only felt you and Eddie were present. It was like the world closed in on you, and it was just him and you left. You liked the close, intimate feel. Even though you had been dating for around a year, you had never talked about your future outside of being in the band.
“Yeah, I think I would like that.” You say happily. You liked this side of Eddie. The warm, inviting side. You really were beginning to see a future with the blonde. The two of you stood, in the middle of the yard, just looking into each other’s eyes. Words didn’t need to be spoken. It was a silent “I love you”.
Eddie Roundtree: Yeah, I remember that day. She just looked so beautiful, playing with Jules. She was so kind, always was. You couldn’t help but love her. *smiles*
You are quickly snapped out of the moment by Camila calling to you.
“Hey, Y/n!” Camila says. She walks up to you and frowns. “I heard about your dress. I’m so sorry, i’ll talk to Jules after the party.” She apologizes.
“No, it’s okay. I’ll just wash it when I get home.” You respond. You look down at your blue sundress, taking a look at all the muddy spots. “I think i’ll go inside and try to find a washcloth. I’ll try to get some of the mud out.” You say. Camila nods.
“I’ll come with you!” She exclaims. You flash Eddie a sweet smile goodbye, and he winks in return. Eddie turns to go talk to Graham as you go inside with Camila. As soon as you shut the door, Camila starts to smile suspiciously.
“You and Eddie, hm?” She questions. You freeze, simply in shock. You were going to have to dig yourself out of a big hole. Plus, you were never good at lying, especially to Camila. It was like she could see through people. You always envied it about her.
“What do you mean, Cami?” You ask. You begin to make you way to the sink, avoiding her eyes.
“Don’t try to fool me. I see the way he looks at you, Y/n. It’s like you hung the stars and put the moon in the sky. He loves you.” Camila smiles. She digs through the drawers of her kitchen before handing you a white washcloth.
“I don’t,” You start. The question had totally caught you off guard. Was it love? Had you fallen in love with Eddie Roundtree? “I don’t know how he feels.” You stutter. Guess there is no hiding it now.
You begin to wet the washcloth, but your mind is anywhere besides this room. Is Camila right? You always knew you had something special with Eddie. But you’d never thought about it this much to be honest. With the baby conversation today and Camila’s conversation with you right now, you are seriously considering it. Things between you and the blonde wasn’t just hooking up anymore and it hasn’t been for a long time. It felt as if things were suddenly gettin for serious, and you were not going to say no to it.
“Well I think I know how you feel.” The girl says, poking you in the side. You laugh with her, moving your hip out of her reach. You shake your head in response, but the radiant smile on your face tells otherwise.
When you recover from the laughter fit, you begin to blot the muddy fabric of your dress with the cloth. Cami settles down as well. She peeks out the window and smiles, “Looks like everyone is about to sing happy birthday. I better go get the candles. Come out in a second, yeah?” She says. You nod, waving her goodbye.
Just before she is about to walk out the door, she turns around and teases, “Oh, and Eddie will be out there, too. You might want to hurry.” She winks at you mischievously before shutting the door and hurrying over to where Julia and Billy were.
Camila Dunne: Oh, Gosh, they were an amazing couple. I would’ve never known, but once I did, it just felt so obvious. They were perfect together, and I mean it. You could just tell by the way they looked at eachother. As soon as his eyes fell on Y/n, they turned into hearts. And vice versa.
Normally, you would be freaking out. You just gave away the secret of your realationship to yet another person. But right now you were on cloud 9. Eddie Roundtree might love you. And you might love him back.
✧・゚: *✧・゚:*:・゚✧*:・゚✧
When Aurora was finally finished, the entire band was thrilled. Everyone had working together, and it turned out perfectly. You could feel it was about to be a big hit. The single, Look At Us Now, was already topping the charts. You had Daisy’s and Billy’s perfect vocal chemistry to thank for that.
Everybody was getting ready for the album cover shoot. It had been scheduled for weeks. After much bickering from Daisy and Billy, they decided on a desert shoot. The whole band was wearing tan, blue, and brown costumes, some more extravagant than others.
You and Eddie, though, had different plans. You snuck into his room late the night before. Everyone was staying in a hotel, as the photo shoot location was about 3 hours out of town and nobody wanted to drive that far so early. So, while everyone was getting ready, you and Eddie were lying in bed together, enjoying the solitude of the morning.
You were brushing stray hairs out of his face, to make sure you could see his beautiful eyes. Atleast you always thought they were beautiful. He was looking right back at you, with a dopey grin on his face. “I love you, Y/n.” He whispered. And you whispered it back.
After ten more minutes of this lovesick haze, you sat up, grabbing your watch that layed onnthe bedside table. Your face froze with shock.
“Shit, Shit, Shit! Eddie, it’s already 9:30. We were supposed to be down five minuetes ago!” With those words, the two of you flew out of bed, hurrily throwing on coats and blouses and brushing knotted hair from last night’s activities.
Meanwhile, downstairs, everyone was waiting on you two. Daisy, Karen, Warren, Camila, Billy, even Julia, all sat downstairs around a couple tables. They had finished breakfast a while ago, as it was now 9:45.
“Okay, where the fuck are they?” Billy said, tapping his foot. Karen and Daisy shared a look, Warren snickered, and Camila avoided his gaze. But Graham was clueless.
“I’ll go get them. I’m done eating anyway.” The younger Dunne brother said, hopping out of his seat next to Karen. He walks up to the elavator and steps inside, pressing the button of the band’s floor.
Meanwhile, you and Eddie were still frantically trying to get ready. You were applying a nude lipstick while Eddie buttoned up his shirt. You were no where near ready and you figured time was running out.
Suddenly, there is a knock on the door. You both freeze, making eye contact in the mirror.
“Probably just maintenance.” You reason.
“Yeah, just maintenance.” He agrees.
But you both quickly found out you were wrong when Graham’s voice sounded from the other side of the door. “Eddie, man, get up! You’re already thirty minutes late for photos.”
Oh, so it wasn’t maintenance. It was Graham. And Graham didn’t know. You and Eddie had started to consider telling everyone for good, but it had been so easy how it already was. You had settled into a routine of secrecy. It would just be so much harder to stop.
Graham knocks again, sounding impatient. You quickly pull out a curling iron to atleast get half your hair done while Eddie rushes to the door.
“Hey, just give me five more minutes.” He says before shutting the door in his face. Your boyfriend quickly rushes over to you in the bedroom, as you had given up on the hair curling idea after the front two pieces.
“What are we going to do, Ed?” you ask. He places a reassuring hand on your cheek, brushing a piece of hair away from your face.
“I’ll go out first. I’ll talk to Graham for a little before moving on downstairs. Then, he’ll go to your room next door and knock. You’ll slip out of here and try to walk a little ways down the hall so he doesn’t notice you came out of my room. Just pretend you were getting ice or something.” He says. You nod, trying hard to listen to exactly what he says.
When Eddie finishes speaking, you place a gentle kiss on his cheek. “For good luck.” you say. He smiles and embraces you quickly before heading for the door, motioning for you to hide on the other side of the room.
“Sorry about that Graham. Woke up late.” You can hear Eddie say from the other side of the wall. You press your ear up against the wallpaper trying to listen to more.
“I get it. I’m going to knock on Y/n’s door too. She must’ve overslept as well.” He pats Eddie on the shoulder before moving on to your door down the hall. You hear the steps of boots which you assume means he’s far enough away. You make your way to the door and open it very slowly. You manage to squeeze out of the half opened door. Now, you shut the door quietly before walking a little ways down the hall, like Eddie said.
“Hey, Y/n!” Graham calls out, and you stop in your tracks. “Where’d you come from?” He asks.
“I was just getting ice. Down the hall. At the ice machine.” You manages to sputter out. You’d never describe yourself as a nervous person, but right now, the nerves where like butterflies floating in your stomach, in your brain, and throughout your whole body. Graham furrows his brows at you, not very convinced by your efforts.
“I’m going to go ahead and get some breakfast.” You say quickly, speedwalking down the hallway. You thought you handled that pretty well.
Graham Dunne (Lead Guitar): She had come out of Eddie’s room. It was very obvious. Y/n was also always a terrible liar. I knew they were hooking up way before that ever even happened.
✧・゚: *✧・゚:*:・゚✧*:・゚✧
Karen Sirko: I think everyone knew they were in a realationship by that point. Daisy and I had a bet on when they would tell us.
Daisy Jones: It eventually came out when we were on tour, so Karen won technically. But they were just so shit at keeping secrets we all figured out a long time ago.
Warren Rojas: I was actually best man at Eddie’s and Y/n’s wedding. It was probably the best wedding i’ve ever been to. But don’t tell Lisa that. *winks*

“Was that before or after I spent all my money on that van?” Rojas' voice came out in a muffled laugh, with the coexistence you knew how to tell that he was in disbelief.
“Come on Chuck, you can't do that!” You interfere, hoping he understands that you all need him. “We have a big gig tonight.”
Billy turns around irritably, running both hands through his hair, Graham is staring at the ground and the thought of seeing him sad causes a knot in your stomach. You try to hold it together, that's what you used to do since you joined the band.
You had heard the conversation between Graham, Warren, Chuck and Eddie that day when the creation of the band was proposed. They knew you were a good vocalist, they had heard you sing on a few occasions and they knew that losing you as a member would be stupid, even if the band went nowhere.
Even though he thought he was the protagonist, Billy wasn't so reluctant to share his attention with you, seeing you more as an addition to something that would be very good. Everything was on track, you were actually gaining a lot of visibility and opportunities lately and the thought of Chuck giving up was a catastrophe.
You come back from your thought when you hear Chuck's low voice say “You're out of your fucking mind”
“So now what do we do?” Rojas asks, lighting a cigarette.
“Eddie you switch over to bass” Billy orders, you can feel how tense Roundtree turns in a second.
“No.” He scoffs, rolling his eyes.
“Please Eddie, just this time.” You ask affectionately, a little desperately.
“Fine.” He throws the unlit cigarette on the ground, heading towards the van that had brought you here.
“You ready Y/N?” Eddie asks through your door, you quickly grab your jacket and fix your hair before opening it.
“Let's do this.” You were nervous, it was the first time you had to do a big change for a gig and besides it was a big opportunity. All you wanted was things to go well. “Hey, I know you didn't want this but, thank you for doing it.”
Eddie smiles small, nodding before you are interrupted by some horns outside your house, you hurried towards Rojas' van where you saw him accompanied.
“New girl?” You ask Eddie before you reach the van.
“Yeah, Warren is kinda dating her right now. I guess.” Roundtree offers you a cigarette and you take it in his hand. “Hm, talking about love…”
He looks at you with a smirk, you immediately roll your eyes.
“Don't even start.” You ask, feeling your cheeks hot.
“You should tell him, you know.” As you two sit in the back of the van he “starts” even though you asked him not to. “I think you guys look cute together.”
“Y'all talking about y/n+graham’s?” Warren turns from the driver's seat with a smirk.
“What the fuck is y/n+graham's?” You ask with the cigarette between your lips, confused.
“Your couple name, we talk about you two a lot.” Eddie teases you, as Rojas nods starting the van.
“I don't know where you guys got the idea that we are something.” You lay your head against the window, feeling the breeze as you try not to smile with the thought of Graham and You as something.
The truth is that you were in love with him for years now, since before you guys were a band, you always felt amazed by him and little by little you noticed that it had become a passion. You fell in love with him deeply since you started to hang out more together, you tried to hide it but things got impossible when Eddie found your lyrics to a song that well… was pretty clear about your feelings.
You barely noticed when Warren parked in front of the place where they were going to perform, you could hear ‘The Winters’ checking the sound to make sure everything was okay. By coincidence, you had also arrived with Billy, Camila and Graham, who were getting out of the car with their instruments at the same time as you were doing the same.
You enter the place admiring the environment, happy and shocked by the different size than what you had expected. Camila hugs Eddie and then wraps her arms around Billy, Warren and his girlfriend walk hand in hand with Graham beside them when the younger Dunne stops, his eyes fixed on the stage.
His eyes follow in search of what made him stop, the figure of the blonde keyboardist singing along with the band is what your eyes see, instantly your body withers, feeling vulnerable as your feelings were completely exposed.
“Keep dreaming Peaches.” Warren teases his friend, and then turns around to show the place to his girl.
You were trying your best to understand how you got here, standing next to the payphone you were trying to hide how upset you were with all of this. You were silent since everyone had agreed to call Karen into the band, you weren't against her at all, but there was something that made you sad about all of this.
“I'll be right back” You mutter, retreating out of the diner with a cigarette in hand. It selfish to think that you were being replaced, you knew it, but the pain on your chest made you want to scream with this situation.
“Are you okay sweetie?” You jump in fright at Camila's voice behind you, coughing from smoke.
“Yeah, why do you ask?” Between coughs you ask, trying to hide your nuisance and overcome the burning sensation in your lungs.
“You just left and please don't get me wrong but you look upset” Out of nowhere Warren's girlfriend joins you, and you get scared once again.
“Could you guys stop scaring me?” You laugh small with your hand on your chest. "I'm fine, let's go back inside.”
And next thing you know, there was a big change for you to handle.
Karen wasn't the problem itself, but the way Graham's eyes lighted up everytime she opened her mouth or the way he can't stop the smile on his face when she enters the room. The problem was the ache growing on your chest when you witnessed those moments, the way your brain knew how that would never be you no matter how hard you tried.
Things were going great, you had an amazing hit and gradually you felt the band finally going the way you stopped when Billy left for rehab. But somehow even when you put all your efforts to see things on the bright side the feeling came back, it was eating you alive second by second.
You made your way downstairs to grab something to eat when you see Graham and Karen ready for something, desperately you check the clock thinking you somehow lost track of time.
“I thought Billy's housewarming party was at eight…” Eddie let out the question you were repeating in your mind, you gladly thank him in thought.
“And it is, she just asked us to come early and help them get ready.” Graham explains.
“And also take care of Julia.” Sirko adds, you hold the urge to scream in frustration.
“So I'll see you guys later.” The younger Dunne says goodbye to Roundtree with a handshake and smiles at you before leaving.
You rest your body on the sofa, exhausted, resting your head on the shoulder of the bassist next to you. He doesn't dare move,
Knowing what kind of comfort you would like at the moment, he's content to be by your side.
“Is exhausting, I know…” He says under a breath, his eyes fixed on the wall in front of you.
You don't answer, and he takes that opportunity to go on. “It feels like it won't ever stop hurting but eventually, you get used to it.” He lets out with a chuckle, getting a small smile from you.
“I don't even know if I can handle this party anymore.” You complain, covering your face with both hands.
“Don't worry, Warren and I will have you back.” He nudges you with one of his elbows, and you feel lighter with them.
“Like Warren will give me attention after his girlfriend arrived from that job trip.” Eddie laughs, knowing this is very likely.
“You know I've been in love before, with someone pretty impossible…”
“Camila” I say, he suddenly stops.
“What? No.” His cheeks flush.
“It's Camila!” You say arching your eyebrows
“It doesn't matter, okay?” He rolls his eyes. “The thing is, it passes… you'll be fine.”
This time you stay in silence
The party was great, even though you didn't find a specific group to join and spend time with, your company was enough for you. Suddenly you are taken by surprise as the lights go out, every room is filled with small conversations while some look for the root of the problem. You search in the darkness for Camila or anyone else in the band, trying to understand what was happening.
Your eyes see Eddie and Camila lighting some candles, you smile and leave them be. You hear crying coming from the rooms above, and worried you go towards the sound.
You find Julia crying in her crib, you take her with you downstairs trying to find Billy somewhere. Turning down some corridors you come across Graham and Karen kissing, Your body freezes and your eyes widen, you feel your heart break into mine in your chest as if a rope is tying a knot around it.
All you can think about is running away, but the child in your lap is something that holds you there. You take a deep breath, desperately looking for Billy and when you find him it's a matter of time before the tears escape your eyes. The older Dunne doesn't ask, he just picks up his daughter and watches you make your way through the crowd.
You struggle to find a corner quiet and private enough to let it all go, you open the beer you had picked up and drink it all in a few sips, feeling the alcohol rip through your throat as you open another one. There was nothing more frustrating than this feeling of incapacity, vulnerability and, above all, rejection. You feel the air leave your lungs as the crying begins, you try your best to keep your crying down but it becomes more and more difficult.
“Hey, what happened? Are you okay?” Eddie finds you, “I saw you running” He waits for your answer, but you just cry. “Everything will be fine, I'm here with you” He holds you, you let him hold you as you fall apart.
“I can't deal with this.” You bury your face on his chest, upset and feeling ashamed.
“Let me take you home.” He asks, holding your hand as he helps you up. “I'm sure Camila will understand why we're leaving.”
“Don't! Please don't tell her.” The tears fall slowly on your face. “The fact that you see me like this is already too humiliating."
“Humiliating?” He seems confused, a little bit hurt as he guides you to the car. “You don't have to be always strong with me. I'm here for you, you can cry all you want.”
As his car makes its way to your house you watch the street in silence, your eyes filling with tears every time you remembered what you had seen.
“I just.” You begin to say, crying a little. “I can't help but feel this way.”
“I know what it looks like.” He whispers, turning the car to another direction.
“Where are you going?”
“I think you don't want to stay at the house with them, what about we spend the night on the beach?” You look at him, your teary eyes curious.
“What?”
“Just walk around, swim and talk.” He knows you feel pretty comfortable at the beach, so he's looking for something that will make you feel okay.
“That sounds fun, thank you.” You try your best to smile, the car parks at the beach.
Eddie helps you walk up some rocks so you can watch the waves better, you feel the cold breeze against your body and it makes you feel a little more alive, of course, things weren't fine and far from feeling better… but not impossible to go through.
“Thank you for this.” You say in a whisper, closing your eyes as you rest your head on Roundtree's shoulder.
“Just like I always told you, you will never be alone as long as I'm here”
...

the one — eddie roundtree
pairing: eddie roundtree x fem!musician!reader
description: after breaking your heart and losing your trust, eddie tries to win your heart back. through all the hurt, comes a lot of light.
warnings: written in interview style like the book! reader is a musician but she isn’t in the band, use of Y/N (</3). REQ’s are open!
🍸 ˚୨୧⋆。˚ ⋆ 🎙️ ˚୨୧⋆。˚ ⋆ 🪩 ˚୨୧⋆。˚ ⋆ 🎧
Eddie: I asked myself a lot of questions back then, but I could never actually answer any of them. It was like everything good had blown up in my face and it was all my fault. I didn’t really know what to do.
Karen: Chase two girls, lose the one. I always knew Eddie loved Y/N, but he also loved Camila. I told Eddie he had to go away and have a think about everything.
Warren: Whatever he felt for Camila, it was different with Y/N. Camila was his first love, sure, but Y/N is the love of his life.
Eddie took himself away from the band for a few days, he arranged it with the necessary people and put in place a ‘getaway plan’ as he recalls it. He stayed away for an extra week, hiding away in a small town in the Pacific Northwest. When he came back he had a new guitar, a green Fender Stratocaster, and a few unfinished love songs.
Warren: Why he took himself up to Oregon of all places I will never know. He would of been welcome to hand on my boat but the man had shit to sort through I suppose.
Karen: Whatever he did those few days he was gone worked wonders.
Eddie: The second I got back I picked Karen up and swung her around. I couldn’t thank her enough.
Y/N: I wouldn’t be a second choice, I left because that’s what it felt like with him, that I was always going to be second choice.
Eddie: I always thought I knew best but I really didn’t. I knew Billy wouldn’t like the songs I had written, because it was always what him and Daisy had written that mattered. I think Karen was nervous when I told her I’d been writing.
Karen: I thought he had gone mad. [Laughs]
Billy: I would have heard him out at least, but… no I probably would have hated whatever he had come up with. I was a control freak like that. We [Him and Daisy] both were.
Eddie: I didn’t care what Billy thought of them. I hadn’t written them for Billy, I wrote them for me, but also for Y/N.
Y/N: [Laughs] They were… well they were okay! He poured his whole heart into them, so they were special but Eddie Roundtree is not a songwriter!
Eddie: She said that? [Laughs] Well… she’s right! I suppose I just wanted to tell her how I really felt. Once I had shown her what I’d come up with she sat down next to me and just started scribbling all over it.
Y/N: I wanted to finish one of the songs.
Eddie: She had picked one out, ‘The 1’. It was about what you wish you had, what you could of had if you hadn’t messed everything up.
Y/N: I kind of wanted to make him sweat a bit.
Eddie: I was so nervous, I just kept thinking say something, say anything!!
Y/N: We stayed up late laughing, drinking, writing. We talked about Eddie’s time in Oregon. I told him what I had gotten up to.
Eddie: Then she told me she had missed me.
Y/N: I was so worried to let him back in.
Eddie: I was so glad she let me in. So glad.
Eddie Roundtree sold the song to an up and coming band. Y/N and Eddie were credited as the songwriters for the record. Upon release it climbed the charts to number 32. The pair celebrated with the band they had sold the record to by buying them lunch one afternoon in California.
Eddie: She made me work for it.
Y/N: Like I said, I wanted to see him sweat.
Eddie: I didn’t mind though. Life was very fast, very unpredictable back then. I got to slow down with her, just making sure she was okay, checking in, having meals together, falling asleep next to each other, it was all… it felt like a sure thing. I felt very lucky, and the most alive I think. Yeah.
Y/N: He had asked me a couple times, can we make this official? I told him to wait it out. I think I wanted to know that he would stick it out, that he would wait for me for once. A lot of our relationship at the start felt like me waiting around for him. It wasn’t a payback thing necessarily, more just, I don’t know. I was protecting my heart.
Eddie: I felt very… unsure. I didn’t know if I was worth it to her. I think she saw that in me, that I didn’t really value myself. She turned that around.
Y/N: One night before a show, I turned up and he was so shocked to see me. I remember his face just lighting up, I knew then. I knew with everything in me, I wanted him and he wanted me.
Eddie: I had pined and grovelled for months and right before I am about to step on stage to a sold out show, she kisses me. I couldn’t believe it. I actually couldn’t believe her! I swear she just liked to see me sweat.
Y/N: I didn’t mean to! At the time I had gone to just see the band. Well, I was going to see Eddie too but I didn’t intend on kissing him! I’m glad I did though.

❛ you’re welcome to stay, if you want. ❜

Stumbling out of the house and into the cool night air, you sighed in relief. As much as you loved partying with The Six and their many friends, the parties always grew stuffy and loud. Others seemed to share your opinion seeing as you noticed some people lingering outside and chatting.
Inhaling the fresh air, you aimlessly walked, searching for a spot to sit and relax until you felt ready enough to rejoin everyone inside. You rounded the house and noticed some chairs but as you got closer, you noticed the silhouette of a person.
"Eddie! Hey!" You greeted and the bassist turned his head toward you, a cigarette hanging loosely from his lips and strands of hair swept over his face.
Pulling the cigarette from his mouth, he gave you his signature cheeky grin. "Hey, (Y/N)."
"Sorry to interrupt... whatever this is." You chuckled, rubbing the back of your sweaty neck and grimacing at the feeling. Eddie shook his head in return and shrugged lightly.
"You’re welcome to stay, if you want." He said, switching the cigarette between hands and reaching over to the chair beside him. He dragged it toward him and patted the cushion invitingly.
"Thanks, Eddie." You smiled and took his invitation, plopping down on the cushion and melting into the seat. You hadn't realized how much your legs ached until now.
"How's our favorite movie star doing?" Eddie asked teasingly, slumping back in his chair and lifting the cigarette back to his lips.
"Not a movie star yet." You reminded him, tilting your head back to look up at the twinkling stars. Eddie mimicked you as he blew the smoke into the air, a smile tugging at his lips.
"Warren and I will watch your movies at the theater everyday."
"My biggest fans." You cooed playfully and shared a smile with the bassist. Eddie hummed and watched you for a moment, gaze softening.
"Always."

You were watching as Eddie congratulated Camila.
Lighting a cigarette, observing as he perfected the fakest of smiles while looking up at her with eyes that said something different. You couldn't ignore the way his finger tips brushed along Camila's waist, lingering for as long as possible when she pulled away from him after the hug she had pulled him into. Eddie watched as Camila let herself be pulled away into the sea of people by a blonde and brunette you had never met before this evening. He stood there for awhile.
You wondered what was running through his mind. You knew something was up with him and knowing Eddie since the sixth grade you liked to think you knew him and how he worked.
Eddie stood there for a while, watching Camila disappear into the sea of people dancing, before retreating to the table where you were currently parked at.
“Hey.” He spoke first, dropping himself onto the chair next to you.
“Hi.”
"Can I borrow your lighter?" You shoved the smaller golden plated lighter that bore your initials on across the table. "Thanks."
"Are you okay?" "Yeah. Why?"
"C'mon Eddie." You gave him a look that went ignored as he lit the cigarette in between his fingers. “You’ve looked like utter shit since this morning.”
He shrugged and slid your lighter back, finally looking at you and gave a smile that looked more like a grimace. "I've never been better."
“What's going on between you and her?"
"Who?"
"Camila."
“Camila?” He played stupid.
“‘Camila?’ Of course Camila, who else?”
He scoffed. "I'm not in love with Camila."
“I know you have been since Billy brought her to Chucks garage for the first time, Eddie.”
“Yeah and you’ve been in love with Billy since Steppenwolf in ‘68.”
Billy took your first kiss at Steppenwolf, halfway through Born to Be Wild when he turned around and kissed you. You were drunk and he was on something as well, but it was something you could not quite forget even after all this time.
You were in love with him, but made sure to keep it together for the fear of ruining the friendship you cherished with Billy.
You hadn’t known a time that Billy wasn’t in your life and you made damn sure that he would never leave it.
“Yeah.” There was no sense in hiding it. Looking up into the colored Christmas lights that you and Warren spent an hour putting up earlier, reminiscing on the last few years.
“Do you want to talk about it?” He brought the bottle of beer he was holding in his hand to his lips. Falling into a silence, you hummed along to Stumbled on Sublime playing in the distance, trying to find the right thing to say.
“It feels like a funeral, y’know? I should be so damn happy for them, celebrating their life together. A life that they’re just starting together, starting a family and that’s beautiful. A part of me should feels sad that I missed out on that with him, but I feel nothing. I’m empty inside.” You tapped your chest. “And all I want to do is just to feel something. Anything.”
Eddie reached across the table again for the lighter and lit another cigarette, taking a draw and puffing out clouds of smoke as he let the minutes fly by before speaking finally. “I was nine. I remember when we would walk to church together and she would wear these white dresses that would make her look like one of the angels that we would sing about. And now here she is, in a white dress, an angel for someone else.”
“You should put that in a song.”
“Did you have to ruin the moment?”
“It was getting too sappy for me.”
“You asked.”
“Actually, you did.”
“Yeah, but you brought it up.”
“No wonder she picked Billy over you, you’re insufferable.” You kicked his leg hard hard, fed up with his antics.
“That hurt.” He clutched his leg. “Don’t go breaking my heart twice.”
“I didn’t know you knew Camila for that long.”
“Yeah that’s because I didn’t tell anyone.”
“I’m more curious as to why she didn’t tell anyone.”
“Yeah that’s a bit weird isn’t it, since she’s the open book.”
“And you’re definitely not.”
“No,” He took another drag. “I’m not.”
Another moment in silence passed, another cigarette gone from your pack.
“I should probably go home.”
“Nah, you can just stay over.”
"You sure?"
He nodded and stood up, waiting for you to follow him into the small brown home, away from the party.
“I’m scared.” You joked.
“Don’t be.”
“Yeah, sorry that didn’t really reassure me.”
You flopped yourself onto the large bed, that was nestled in the corner of the room beside the large picture window. Spread out, you sank into the plush oversized bed, kicking off your boots leaving yourself only in the thin t-shirt and pair of shorts you had initially worn to just lounge around the house and not for a full fledged wedding. “Thank you for not having a waterbed. I don’t understand how Warren can sleep on that thing.”
Eddie smiled as he reached for the guitar, not the bass, that was at the end of the bed. “Move.”
“The word is please.”
“Please move your ass over on my bed.”
“Charming.” Nevertheless, you rolled over towards the wall, him sitting up against the wall with the guitar in his lap. He began strumming chords from a Led Zepplin song, humming quietly along. Eddie paused to light another parliament.
“You’re really talented, Eddie.”
He scoffed. You knew about the tension between Billy and him. The endless fights about chords and songs, the lyrics and their meanings. The forced switch from guitar to bass. The yearn for creativity that Billy had cut off with his ego.
Eddie was talented, just as much as anyone else in the band, but never believed it.
"Yeah, sure."
“I mean it." He looked up from the strings on the guitar meeting your eyes. He searched your features, like he was looking for the lie, the pity you knew he had subscribed to for his entire musical career and even then.
You weren’t sure what you were doing when you leaned over and kissed him. Maybe it was seeking out comfort or the drugs and alcohol that ran rampant in your system, but he tasted like the cigarette that was still lit in between his fingers and the Budweiser that he had finished not long ago.
He hadn’t reacted at all before you decided to pull back, completely sobering up in the mere seconds that your lips had touched his.
“I um…” You hastily climbed over him, careful not to touch his body in any capacity and your knee catching across the guitar strings, playing harsh chords and nicking your skinand out of his bed whilst practically slamming the half empty bottle on the nightstand. “It’s time for me to go home.”
He calmly put out the half-done cigarette in the ashtray on the stand and stood up without saying a word. Your stomach hurt at the silence, the lack of reaction from him, the tension that was so thick you cut it with a knife. All of it was so calm, so tranquil, but your anxiety was at an all time high.
“Alright. Goodnight.” You turned to leave now standing in the threshold of the open sliding glass door, teetering on the seesaw of regret and embarrassment on the stunt you just pulled. Fuck! You couldn't comprehend the situation you stupidly put yourself in. Despite wearing impractical sky high boots, you were ready to run for it. “See you when I uh see you.”
“You can’t drive like that.” He finally spoke and adrenaline pumped through you, hearing at just how close he was His voice was close, finally broke his silent voNow standing behind you,
"I'll call a cab."
"It's four a.m."
"I'll walk."
"You can just stay here.”
“No, I’m fine. Goodnight, Eddie.”
“Stop it.” His tone turned stern. The fingers that barely ghosted your wrist, tightened and spun your weak body to face his. Your heart beat pounded in your ears, his hand came to rest on your shoulder, trailing up your neck and his thumb wiped away white hot tears that you didn’t realize poured out. “You’re bleeding.”
You didn’t look down to your knee, keeping your eyes on his. “Oh.”
And then he kissed you. This time you didn’t react as his lips pressed into yours, stunned that he wasn’t screaming at you or kicking you out but instead kissing you.
You gave in, wrapping your arms around his neck, dropping both your bodies onto the bed again.
It was the first time you had felt anything since eleven that morning.

ms. americana & the heartbreak prince
eddie roundtree/loving x f!reader
description: eddie is your prince, girls are mean, and you love the boy so much that it hurts. good news is that he loves you just as much.
word count: 1.7k
warning(s): none
a/n: erm...hi!! first eddie fic and this man has been in my head for the last month non stop. bit of a fluff/hurt comfort piece. this is the first thing i've finished reading in a long time, and i have some more stuff in the works. please like and reblog, its really helps :)!!
"You know I adore you, I'm crazier for you Than I was at 16...I counted days, I counted miles To see you there, to see you there...Leave with my head hung, you are the only one Who seems to care..."
─── ・ 。゚☆: . . :☆゚. ─── ➶ ─── ・ 。゚☆: . . :☆゚. ───
Your hands were traveling all over Eddie's body, pulling at the collar of his shirt, tangled in his hair. His lips were desperate against yours, searching every part of you that you'd let him.
"Baby, I gotta go-" He gasped, breathing heavily as he pulled his lips away from yours. His hand gripped the back of your neck while the other rested against the small of your back. The crowd could be heard echoing throughout the walls of the stadium, their cheers and screams bouncing around the two of you.
You nodded, giving him a smile and one last kiss. "Walk me down to the room?" He nodded, helping you down from the amps you had found your way onto.
Eddie and you had been together for over five years, since the last half of senior year. He was quick to ask you to come with him, and you hadn't hesitated to follow him and the band out west to California.
Eddie swayed slightly as he walked you down to the back room, where the others would be, preparing to take their time on the stage. He was smiling his beautiful upturned, soft smile.
"What's got you so happy? Excited?" You asked, squeezing his bicep.
"Just thinking about how lucky I am, to have someone like you with me. If I could have anything in the world, I'd still choose you." He looked down at you.
Your chest tightened with something, filled with the love and excitement of knowing that you had him. Eddie could be a real hard ass, always getting too mad too fast. But somehow, you could never make him mad. Did you annoy him sometimes? Of course, but not as much as Billy or Graham could. Did he love to goof around with Warren? Duh, but when it came to you, it was like he didn't have anything to prove, anything to leave behind to know you would still be there after a show or a gig in a bar. And you felt great comfort in knowing that despite the drinking, the drugs, and the chance to flirt with another, he would never do anything that left you alone or in pain.
As you two arrived in front of the door you took his hand in yours, giving it a tight squeeze.
"I love you a lot." You smile, kissing his knuckles, running your fingers over the callouses that covered his fingers.
The door swung open and Warren let out a cheer, pointing his drumsticks in the air.
"Let's fucking do this!!" He yelled, a mirage of cheers coming from behind him. "Woah, sorry to interrupt lovebirds, but we have a show to put on." He laughed, pulling Eddie with him.
Eddie rolled his eyes, mouthed a quick love you, and began walking in stride with the drummer, the others quickly following behind, giving you a wave and smile.
You walked into the room, which reeked of weed and alcohol. There were three groupies sitting on the couches and lounging around the floor. They usually stayed around for a bit, went to the show, then came back to freshen up before the band got back. Usually, you and Camila would sit in the corner, talk about life with your boys, and talk about the next show. But Camila was at home, pregnant, and could not stand being around the waves of smells.
So you sat alone, leaning against the couch that was more focused in the corner, just a bit farther from the four girls that littered the room. Usually, they clung to Warren and Graham, but you weren't immune to the looks they would give Eddie, they did the same thing to Billy, whether you and Camila were or weren't here.
You sighed, leaning your head back, hearing the crowd get louder as the band began their set. The cheers were enough to make you excited to see Eddie after the show. He would be full of energy and power, seeing as this was one of the biggest crowds, based on what the sounds themselves told you.
"Hey, you're the one that's always with Eddie, right?" One of the girls called.
You looked towards her, her makeup slightly messy, hair blown back. She was smiling, and for a moment you thought she might be showing you a bit of kindness.
"Yeah, always by his side." You smiled, prideful that you made your presence around him notable.
"Mm, yeah, you should try to do that less." She smirked, her hand lifting another hill of powder up to her nostril.
You looked at her, confused about what she could mean. Your arms wrapped around one another, hugging yourself as you leaned into her words.
"Yeah, that's just like, hook-up 101. You don't want to annoy them, just give them enough to keep it up." She winked, as the girls around her laughed.
There was a sudden ache in the bottom of your stomach, the way she eyed you, the way she had let the words drip off her tongue.
"Well," You squared your shoulders, "Good thing I'm not just a hookup. Eddie and I are together, have been for a while."
"Oh, sure. I'm not doubting that, I'm just saying maybe if you acted like you were just a hook-up, he wouldn't have the need to go find one of us." She shrugged, pouting her lips.
The malice in her voice, in her eyes. There was serious pity in what she was telling you and you had no idea how to react. She could be lying, she could be just playing up a story to try and get a reaction. Why would you give her that and her friends that?
You silently grabbed your stuff and walked out. If you took one last look or said something you weren't sure if it would be with anger or tears. The crowd was still cheering, yelling out as the band began the second half of their set but the only thing you could hear was the pounding in your head.
You made your way out the area's back door, the one nearest to where the bus had parked. Teddy was right outside, smoking a cigarette.
"Hey, darling-" You looked over at him, tears welling over in your eyes. He immediately turned to you, a look of concern splashed over his face. "What's going on?"
"Nothing Teddy. Just um, you know how these girls can be." You gave him a soft smile, wiping away the tears in your eyes. He gave you a nod, saying nothing before offering you a cigarette from his pack.
You took it, lit it, and let out a long exhale as your head rested against the wall of the arena.'
"You know, I don't know how to get, sentimental. I'm not the best with words or anything, but I will tell you this: Eddie would never do whatever those girls in there said."
"It's alright Teddy, I don't need any lies or cover stories. I'm a big girl, he's a big guy, and I'll have that conversation with him." You smiled, taking another drag.
"I've toured with bands for almost fifty years and you think I'm gonna start covering them now? Look, I know how these guys tend to get. I've toured with lots of bands for a long time, and I tell you, that boy is one of the very few that has never even looked at another woman the entire time I've been here."
The tears began to well in your eyes again, that tight feeling in your chest returning. You knew Teddy was right. But there was always a small part of you to doubt Eddie even though he had never given you a reason to. You felt it could be because of what Camila had found out about Billy, and you knew everything he had put her through. You had been the one to hold her at the hospital after Julia came, as Billy was on his way to rehab. You could never see Eddie putting you through that, and for all you cared, Eddie was ten times the guy Billy had ever been.
"All I'm saying is, if anyone is gonna tell you the truth, it's that boy. And he's still going to apologize for even letting you think that way even though he had no hand in it."
So why put yourself through the what if's when you could ask the man that loved you for yourself?
"You're right." You flicked the burnt stub to the ground, and stomped it out, turning to Teddy. "Thank you, Teddy."
He smiled, and grabbed the door, letting you back inside. The show itself was coming to an end, you could tell as the chorus for Honeycomb began. You rush to a bathroom, fix your eyeliner and lipstick, fluffed your hair, then made your way back to the band's room.
As you opened the door you saw that the girls had all quieted down, trying to fix themselves up before the others returned. You weren't going to say a word, just going to let actions speak for themself.
A few minutes later, the band rushed into the room, cheering, and jumping around as the girls got up to greet whoever they wanted. You sat, waiting patiently for your boy to appear.
When he did, his eyes scanned the room, looking frantically for you. When they landed on him he made no hesitation to race across the room, dropping to his knees in front of where you sit.
"Hi baby." He smiled, catching you in a kiss. Your arms wrapped around his shoulders, his around your waist as he held you close to his body. He gripped you so hard you would think that someone was going to come into his arms and rip you away from him. He shifted around, so his head rest against your lap as you played with his hair.
And all the bad feelings disappeared. Maybe one day you would have the conversation with Eddie, tell him what had been said to you, what you thought she could mean. But for now, you knew that Teddy's words rang true. Eddie was a hothead, but he wasn't a cheater. He was someone whose heart had enough room for one person, and that just happened to be you.

Tumblr media
Drowning your sorrows with alcohol in a random bar in Los Angeles was not what you expected for the weekend. In fact, you expected much more. Being with the one you loved and who claimed to love you was what you wanted, watching random movies, kissing, comforting each other was all you wanted. But he didn't want that, in fact he didn't want only you.
You were cursing yourself for never noticing, all the times he ran away, ignored calls, made excuses, it was all in your face and you couldn't see it. You thought this was the one, your happy ending, the one you would love until the last day of your life, the one with whom you would share every part of your life. But it wasn't.
He betrayed and abandoned you, put you in his sea of illusions and lies, only to find someone else and abandon you. The love that you thought would take care of you and love you, the famous red love, romantic love, was actually a pack of lies, pretenses and betrayals.
You have never felt so used and hurt as you do now, it's as if you were trapped in a 20-year dark night, with no way out, no light, nothing to help you or guide you out of this darkness, everything was black and white for you.
As you were about to order another drink for the barman, a man sat down on the stool next to you. He was tall and handsome, his hair was a shade of blond with a bit of brown, his brown eyes watched you and with his slightly reddish mouth he smiled at you, he already had a beer in his hand and asked you for another, you arched your eyebrow in confusion and he finally spoke to you.
"Sorry I didn't even ask if you like beer.
"No problem, I like this stuff a lot" You pointed to the bottle, you were a little drunk but still understood what was going on around you and were aware of your mind.
"Well, my name is Eddie, Eddie Roundtree." He held out his hand and you shook it back, the way he introduced himself was different like he was used to people recognizing him or something, you even stopped to think for a moment and analyzed him. Who he was or who he could be.
Being an actress, working mostly in plays and musicals, you knew many famous people in various fields, actresses, actors, musicians of all styles and even other types of artists, so you tried to think if he was one of those artists. The style was typical of the rock movement, but many people followed that style.
"Y/N L/N. Have we met before?"
"No, but I think you may have heard some of my band's music" So he was a musician but that didn't help you "You know, The Six..." Oh so you recognized it.
"Oh, Daisy Jones and The Six! I remember that" You met them with Honeycomb, that song stayed in your head for months and when Aurora was released you were quick to buy a record for yourself. "Oooh we can make a good thing baaad" You sang, it was a bit of a disaster because you were a bit drunk, your voice was better than that but you allowed yourself to laugh at yourself singing like that to a guy you just met.
Eddie laughed at that, his voice came out a little slurred with the music and he loved that, he even sang the next part with you, and you both ended up laughing together at each other. You clicked very quickly. You started talking to him, about the band, the songs, and the current Aurora tour.
After that Eddie started telling you about his career, how he was a guitar player in the beginning of the band and then a bass player, he also told you about music, how it was something important in his life and how he intends to work with music forever.
"But I talked a lot about myself, what about you? Tell me about you?"
You told him all about yourself, every little detail, and Eddie listened to everything with excitement and curiosity, he saw you in the bar and thought you were the most charming woman he had ever seen, there was no way he could resist, and now each thing you said he was more fascinated by you.
From your life as an attendant in a market to the stages of Broadway and other theaters, you told your whole story to the bass player. He was surprised that you were an actress and was dying to see you perform, he was sure you were amazing.
With every word you said about your work, Eddie could see how passionate you were about your profession, passionate about what you did, and you had a great passion that he found beautiful as well as everything about you.
Between talking about your lives and other things, you and Eddie talked about the most varied subjects, it was as if you were old friends who had met and already knew each other's life story. The conversation was wonderful, you never felt so caught up and excited in a conversation with someone as you did with Eddie and you had only known him a few hours. You spent so many hours talking that the bartenders had to kick you out because they had to close, and you were the last ones to stay.
The musician and you left the bar laughing, who could imagine being thrown out of such a place? Nevertheless, this event didn't spoil the evening, nothing could. And who knew that you would have so much fun on a night that began full of sadness and disappointment. You were so happy that you met Eddie, he was like a light bringing clarity and joy to your evening.
After you left the bar, Eddie called a cab for you because neither he nor you could drive after drinking alcohol. You got into the cab and he leaned out the window to talk to you.
"So when will we see each other again? You were surprised at yourself for saying that sentence, it was so fast you couldn't even think, it seemed strange, you had just ended a relationship and were already going out with a guy? But this is your life, so you make the rules here and live as you like.
"Whenever you want, for you I am always at your disposal..." Roundtree smiled as he stared at you, he looked at your mouth, then at your eyes and you did the same to him. But he couldn't do that yet, you hadn't even had a decent first date and you had been drinking a lot and he wanted to do it sober.
You took a piece of paper from your purse and wrote your phone number "Call me, I'll be waiting for you rock star" You kissed the paper before handing it to him. After that you told the driver to go and waved to Eddie as the car pulled away. And if you had looked back any longer you would have seen Eddie kissing the paper with your number on it and looking at it like a winning ticket.
My love was as cruel as the cities I lived in
Everyone looked worse in the light
There are so many lines that I've crossed unforgiven
I'll tell you the truth, but never goodbye
Many months passed after that, there were many meetings, kisses, moments, jokes and conversations, but you remember everything in your mind. From your first meeting at the movies to when Eddie introduced you to his friends, the guys in the band loved you, everyone was kind and polite and you liked all of them, except Billy. Eddie told you some things about Billy before you met, but you left it to your own opinions without influence from anyone. So in your own judgment you didn't like Billy Dunne, nothing about him pleased you, his arrogant and smug air made you feel sorry for those who had to live with him every day.
But apart from that, you and the band created a good relationship, you became very close to Karen and she even revealed to you her relationship with Graham, you were happy but not surprised anyone could see how much the guitarist liked the keyboard player and you think they are cute. You also became very close to Warren the drummer was very happy that his friend had found a girl, especially one as special as you, so you became friends and you even saw Rollerball with him once.
Between the trips you had to make for your job to perform in theaters around the country, Eddie also had to travel for the Aurora tour, so from one city to another you would meet up when your schedules matched or you got a break and when you couldn't Roundtree would call you every day after the shows, this was like a rule to him, he wouldn't sleep or rest without talking to you, in fact he doesn't even know if he could because your voice calmed him down and talking to you made him forget about the problems of the tour.
On one of your days off you joined the band to go to Pittsburgh. Eddie was very excited about this trip, he talked about it for weeks and his joy was contagious. He really wanted you to see the city where he was born, and to meet his family, especially his grandmother. The bassist talked a lot about his family and all he wanted was to introduce the person he was completely in love with to the most important people in his life, his family.
The trip to Pittsburgh was good, you talked with Lisa, Warren's girlfriend for a while until you felt tired and you and your boyfriend went to sleep, you were in armchairs close to each other so he only had to put his arms around you and you put your head against his chest to sleep. You slept soundly feeling safe in each other's company and didn't even notice that Camila took a picture of you. She gave the picture to you a few days after the unveiling saying how cute you both were. And now you carry that picture with you everywhere you go.
The days in Pittsburgh were the best, Eddie was so happy, you fell in love with his family and the city, it was all so comforting, everyone was so kind to you. Eddie's family loved you, they were very loving, you spent the days talking to Eddie's grandmother, she was very kind, you formed a great friendship and Eddie was very happy about it. To see you with his grandmother at the show in Pittsburgh was very important for him.
But not everything was perfect, in the show Billy Dunne stole Eddie's part in Daisy's solo. In front of everyone, your whole hometown, your friends, your family, you. You spent the whole night after the show consoling your boyfriend, after the show was over you realized how upset he was, you were spending the days at his family's house so when you came back and went into Eddie's old bedroom, where you were sleeping, you hugged him and he started to cry.
He was so tired of being belittled, manipulated and used, he had so much talent but all he got was depreciation. Being in the band was a dream for him, but he never imagined that a dream could become a nightmare. You knew about what Billy was doing, about re-recording Eddie's basses and how he always belittled the bass player and other members of his own band, you were disgusted by that man.
"He couldn't have done that, not here in Pittsburgh, in front of my grandmother, in front of you. You sat on the bed as you continued to hold each other, his face was on your neck and you felt his tears on your skin, you were moving his hair trying to reassure him, it broke your heart to see him like that.
"He's an asshole. I know how much you want to prove to people how talented you are, but you don't have to prove anything to anyone, it's not your job." You pulled his face away from your neck to look him in the eyes "Your grandma knows how talented you are, your family knows it, your town knows it, and I know it Eddie, we're all proud of you.
"I know my love, but I can't understand how such a horrible person as that guy can get anything he wants, or do anything he wants and nobody says anything. I wish I could make him feel the same way, excluded, despised, ignored, he deserves it."
"Don't let this bad feeling consume you, it will only break you, or worse, it will make you just like Billy, a person who is so broken inside that he needs to belittle and break the people around him to feel better or superior. You are not like that Eddie, you are bigger than that, your music and passion is bigger than all that.
And it was looking into your eyes at that moment, inside your childhood bedroom, with the curtains open where the window allowed the moonlight to shine on you, that the bass player had an epiphany, a confirmation of how everything you had was something so precious and unique, that he wanted it forever, to be with someone who supported and loved him the way he was with all the flaws and faults, a love that told the truth but would never say good-bye
You once told Eddie that he was like daylight, that he brightened your days, cleared your thoughts and brought you out of a dark night of twenty years, and that now with him you could only see daylight with him. He had never understood that, until today.
I don't wanna look at anything else now that I saw you
I don't wanna think of anything else now that I thought of you
I've been sleeping so long in a twenty year dark night
And now, I see daylight
I only see daylight
Sometimes life changes so fast that when we stop and look back we think how real was it? How much we felt and all that we experienced. It's crazy how fast the night can change. And that's what happened in your life and in Eddie's life.
After the Pittsburgh show the tension in the band increased, everyone was uncomfortable and in trouble, except Warren. Eddie was at his limit and you knew it, when he told you that he was leaving the band, you were sad for him, because you knew that this was his dream and he dedicated so much of himself, but you respected his decision and supported him in it, all you wanted was for him to be okay.
And your boyfriend really admired this in you. In the beginning he was afraid to tell you that he was leaving the band, he was insecure, the band was the only thing he had, he was afraid that you would see him in a different way now that he was not part of one of the biggest bands in rock. And he was relieved when nothing changed, you still believed in him and his talent.
You still remember the day after the Chicago show, you were at your home in New York. Last night Eddie didn't call you as usual and you were very worried, you called but he didn't answer. Then in the afternoon when the thoughts were troubling you, your apartment doorbell rang and you answered. At the door was Eddie, with a suitcase and a black eye, the only thing he said to you was "It's over" and you understood everything. You cared for him that night, you loved him, supported him, and cared for him.
In the months after the breakup, Eddie surprised you. He bought a new apartment, a bigger one than you had, a place of your own, where you could be who you were and love each other the way you wanted. Starting to live with Eddie was amazing, you had a great life, waking up with daylight shining on you, cooking meals together and making messes, sneaking in your bed, Eddie helping you rehearse lines for the plays you were in.
It was so funny, he was always so dramatic in his lines and so expressive, you laughed at him most of the time and it made the work lighter. Roundtree went back to playing guitar, he went back to writing, making some songs and meeting new bands, labels and musicians. And this is how Eddie slowly entered the world of music production. He got a job at a record company and became the producer of a hard rock band that was starting up.
After the first album, the band took off and Eddie's work was recognized, so the record company called him to produce other music and other artists and this is how he established himself as a popular and good music producer. You couldn't even describe how happy you were, you were so happy that Eddie would continue with his dream, you were afraid that he would quit music after the band and when he started producing music you could see how excited and happy he was, so you were happy too.
You accompanied him to all his events and he did the same with you, without the touring life he had more time now, so he went to all his shows and was your biggest fan as his co-workers said. His job remained the same and that's why you still need to travel.
And I can still see it all (in my mind)
All of you, all of me (intertwined)
I once believed love would be (black and white)
But it's golden (golden)
And I can still see it all (in my head)
Back and forth from New York (sneaking in your bed)
I once believed love would be (burning red)
But it's golden
Like daylight, like daylight
And that's what you were doing now. Sitting in front of a dressing table in your dressing room, you were getting ready to go on stage. You were in Arizona performing your new play that was showing in several states. It had been a month since you had seen Eddie and it was so hard for you, you spent so much time together, it was like the time he went on tour, you kept calling and even exchanging letters. In some of them Eddie sent you some lyrics he wrote about you, writing music was something he never gave up and you were proud of it.
Now looking in the mirror, you think back to all the moments you remembered, the first time you saw each other, life with him in the era of The Six, building a life in New York. And you could only feel grateful and happy to have built such an amazing life next to someone you loved so much and who loved you with the same intensity. Real love, with difficulties and battles, but together you overcame everything and grew to become what you are today.
You smiled at the thought, and were so thoughtful that you didn't even notice when a production employee walked into your dressing room.
"Miss Y/N L/N, this came for you" He handed you a bouquet of flowers, they were yellow daffodils, they were beautiful.
"Oh, thank you so much, do you know who sent them?"
"No, but this note came with them" He handed you a small envelope "And you go on stage in 5 minutes" You nodded your head in agreement and he left, then you opened the note.
"I have traveled a long way just to see my star shine with my own eyes on this stage. Greetings from New York."
The note was unsigned but you already knew who it was from, you cracked a big smile, kissed the note and put it away with the bouquet. Then you came out of your dressing room and ran onto the stage. Lights were turned on and the curtains opened, and when you looked out into the audience there he was.
In all his glory, he was standing in the front row applauding you and smiling at you proudly, the man who changed your life, who taught you that love was golden, that love is about good things and not about making the other person feel belittled, the love of your life, your daylight.
I don't wanna look at anything else now that I saw you (I can never look away)
I don't wanna think of anything else now that I thought of you
(Things will never be the same)
I've been sleeping so long in a 20-year dark night
(Now I'm wide awake)
And now I see daylight (I see daylight), I only see daylight (Ah)

SECRET’S OUT
Tumblr media
masterlist
→ pairing: graham dunne x reader
→ description: you and graham have been secretly dating for months now, having decided it was better to keep things between you guys for now. one moonlit night and a love song were all about to change that.
→ warnings: a little swearing, fluffiness galore
Graham had been nervous all day — leg tapping constantly, all short sentences and quiet hums in response to every word that anyone had to say.
You’d have been concerned, if not for the fact that Billy had mentioned something about him wanting to show the band a song he’d written.
He seemed to spend a lot of time writing songs since he’d met you — but he never showed anyone. Not even you.
But this song he was particularly proud of.
You had been secretly dating for months now, and a matter of days ago you had made a moonlit confession of just how deeply you had fallen in love with him in that time.
Of course, he was head over heels for you too. Hearing you say it first, though, was something he didn’t think he would ever get over. You, Y/N Y/L/N, loved him, Graham Dunne. He wouldn’t ever get tired of thinking of the moment you first said it.
The days since had been blissful, but had made it all the more difficult to keep things between you a secret from all of your best friends.
You weren’t sure how nobody had noticed what was going on between you anyway, given how tactile you were with Graham and how much time you spent together. But the whole band were so wrapped up in their own shit that you sort of understood.
The night you told him you loved him — leaned against the tour bus with the glimmer of the moon in your eyes and your windswept hair blowing in the evening wind, he’d waited until you fell asleep (flush against his chest on the bus couches, meaning he had to carry you to bed as he so loved doing) and put pen to paper to immortalise an evening he’d never forget.
And now he’d marched into rehearsal determined to show off the song, without a single thought for the consequences of sharing what was so blatantly a love song about a partner nobody knew he had.
“Dude, that was fucking awesome,” Warren gawped, standing up from where he’d been perched to slap Graham across the shoulder as he finished the song.
But Graham was only looking at you — trying to gauge your reaction to the lyrics that were so clearly laced with every feeling he’d felt for you throughout your relationship.
You were silent, crimson-cheeked and grinning from ear to ear as you caught his intense gaze. God, you were so fucking in love with that man.
“It was, but are we going to talk about who the fuck it’s about?” Eddie interjected, crossing his arms, “You don’t even get laid, and now you’re writing like you’ve met the love of your life or some shit?”
It was then that you heard Karen scoff, “Because he has, dipshit.”
The whole room turned to look at her confusedly, you and Graham included, as she chuckled to herself and locked eyes with you.
It was like a switch flipped, and you practically flew to your feet towards your boyfriend.
Your hands tangled themselves in his curls as you pulled his face towards you, kissing him with such passion that for a moment he was too taken aback to respond.
But within no time he swung his guitar on its strap to sit behind his back instead, his hands cupping your cheeks as he kissed you back.
“What the hell?”
“Y/N?”
“Niceeee.”
“Look, I know there’s been a lot going on. But if you haven’t seen — or heard — him and Y/N then you must be crazy,” Karen laughed, paying no mind to you making out, “I know they think they’ve been super secretive, but it’s clear as day how they feel.”
Everyone else buzzed with excitement and confusion as they pondered how the hell they didn’t notice.
“Alright, alright,” Eddie called over to you after a short while, “We get it, you do get laid.”
Karen bit her tongue, though she really wanted to make a comment about the very clear crush Eddie had on you that was to blame for the bitterness lacing his words.
“How long has this been going on?” Billy asked, a warm smile on his face at the notion that his brother had found happiness with someone he really trusted not to break his heart.
You pulled back, resting your hands on Graham’s shoulder and then perching your chin atop them as you looked around.
“A few months now,” you beamed, “We wanted to keep it a secret to start with but… Well, I don’t think I could do that much longer anyway.”
Graham dipped his head to kiss your forehead softly, “So you can keep your eyes to yourself now, yeah Eddie?”
Eddie rolled his eyes, lifting his hands in defeat, “Ouch, man.”
You lightly nudged your boyfriend, flushing red again at them addressing Eddie’s crush on you.
“Anyway, if that song isn’t on the album I’m going to be furious,” you hummed, moving the conversation away, “Genuinely furious.”
“Don’t worry, babe,” Graham singsonged, confident with the reaction he’d gotten, “I think it’ll be on the album.”
You leaned up with a smile, whispering a small “I love you,” in his ear. He tightened his grip on your waist as you pressed a kiss to his temple in appreciation.
“I love you too,” he kissed your jaw, pulling back with a smile as he saw Eddie fake gag out of the corner of his eye.
“Jesus Christ.”
“I’m going to get out of your hair now,” you giggled, pulling away from Graham’s grip and twirling towards the door, “Let you guys get on with it. I’ll see you all later.”
Graham fake pouted, following you out of the door for a moment to say goodbye and ignoring Warren’s teasing comment about him being obsessed.
“Thank you, Graham,” you practically sung as he took you in his arms again, leaning you against the hallway wall, “It’s… The song was beautiful. I love it. And I’m glad everything’s out in the open. Secret’s out!”
Graham nodded, kissing your forehead, then your lips, “I love you. And me too, even if Eddie’s jealous as fuck and the others don’t like the public displays of affection.”
With a laugh, you pulled out of his grip again. You kissed him once more as you leaned away, “Maybe we will have to tone that down.”
“I’ve had to pretend you’re not mine for months,” he shook his head, “No way am I hiding it now.”
He captured your waist with both hands and pressed his lips to yours one actual final time, turning to head back to the studio.
“Yeah, you’re right,” you grinned, “They’ll get over it.”

the way i loved you || eddie roundtree x reader
Tumblr media
tw : kissing, making out, profanity.
synopsis : jealousy isn't the best between eddie and you...
words : 932
Interviewer : Do you miss anything?
Y/N : Yeah. I do miss screaming and fighting and kissing in the rain.
Camila invited all of us over for her house party. The rain had cleared away as I sat in my taxi, giving me the perfect opportunity to run across the street without getting soaked.
The party was packed. People jammed in the house or outside in the backyard.
I looked around, desperately trying to find someone I recognized. I could only look for so long before a body was thrown on me and brown hair covered my vision.
“I’m so glad you made it, Y/N!” I could instantly recognize it as Camila.
“I’m so glad to see you, where are the others?” I asked as she was being pulled away by a mob of people.
“They might be outside. At least that’s where I saw Eddie and Graham last!” She yelled over the loud music as she was pulled with everyone.
I made my way outside as I saw the group of boys all huddled together. Except it was only Eddie and Warren.
“Y/N!” Warren exclaimed as he ran up to me, engulfing me in a hug.
I hugged him back, “Where’s Karen?”
Eddie sighed, “Her and Graham went off somewhere.”
I knew what was going on between Graham and Karen. They both liked each other, and they were terrible at hiding it.
The night went by and groupies came and left. They flirted with Eddie and Warren as I attempted to keep my eyes away from Eddie. It wasn’t a secret that I liked Eddie. I’m guessing most people knew, but it made me even more jealous the way he’d look at the girls that would sit on his lap.
I don’t even know how or why I started liking Eddie, I just did. He attracted me. I’d get butterflies if he’d touch my hand while trying to teach me with the guitar, or when he touched my waist when he would move around in the kitchen.
I sighed loudly before getting up and walking over to grab a drink. Everyone was with someone else as they danced and partied.
“Hey, you’re Y/N L/N, right?” A man’s voice said as he brought me out of my gaze.
I looked over to him, seeing a quite attractive man. I smiled, “Yes, that’s me.” The two of us continued eye contact.
The man grew flustered at my smile, “I’m sorry, I've heard a lot about you, and I’ve seen you in newspapers, wow.” He stammered.
The next hour went by in a blur. We madeout and that was that. I mean, it was a lot. I didn’t fully think of my decisions, do I regret them though? No, of course not.
After he had left (his name was Thomas), I went to the restroom, fixing myself up. My lipstick was smeared and my hair was a wreck. I didn’t get banged, but it looked like I did.
I took off the lipstick and patted water on my head, trying my best to look as presentable as I could.
The boys sat inside now, in the dark after the power had gone out. There were candles that were lit and blankets being handed out.
“Woo! Where have you been, girly?” Warren asked as he watched me walk down the stairs towards the couch. It was obvious something had happened, especially if my lipstick was off. Warren raised an eyebrow and smirked in response, which I rolled my eyes to.
“Nothing.” I said, flashing him a smile.
I looked over to Eddie who didn’t say anything, he just looked at me with disgust, he too rolled his eyes. I watched as he got up abruptly, bumping into people as he made his way out of the house
Warren sighed, “You should follow after him.”
The rain was pouring down hard. Harder than what I expected for LA. I could barely see Eddie’s figure in the rain, he seemed to be walking fast.
“Eddie!” I yelled over the rain. “Eddie!” I yelled again, running to catch up with him.
He turned to me angrily as we were inches apart. “What, Y/N? What now?”
“What has gotten into you? Why are you all of a sudden so mad at me?” I questioned as he held clumps of hair on his head.
“Nothing, Y/N! Nothing. Nothing is wrong because nothing happened.” He yelled.
By now, the rain had drenched both of us, and I shivered from the cold.
“If it’s nothing then don’t act like a dick.” I said to the brunette.
He only sighed loudly, “Fine, maybe it’s because you made out with that guy! Okay? You don’t understand.”
I scoffed at his response “You’ve made out with a million groupies and I don’t do shit about it. Eddie for fucks sake I’ve liked you for so long. You’re the one that doesn’t understand.”
I couldn’t deal with him anymore, so I decided to walk away from him.
I felt Eddie grasp onto my wrist as he brought me back to him, his hands had found their way to my cheeks as he desperately kissed me. I sunk into the kiss as the rain poured down on us. It was peaceful, no fighting and just us.
I pulled away slowly, allowing myself to breathe.
“You don’t know how long I’ve been waiting to do that.” Eddie said as he touched our foreheads.
I laughed quietly, “You don’t know how long I’ve been waiting for you to do something.”
Eddie : She misses me?

Daisy Jones and The Six Masterlist
Tumblr media
Eddie paced around your apartment, waving his hands in the air while he rattled on about Billy's treatment of him during one of their latest concerts.
The two of them weren't exactly cordial to each other, with one usually down the others throat, but you understood how Eddie felt. He had finally gotten the chance to have a minute in the spotlight while Daisy sang—and Billy ripped the opportunity out of his hands.
As soon as he got back from the tour, he went straight home to vent to you about it.
"I mean, who the fuck does he think he is?" Eddie exclaimed, his slapping his sides, "If he's not the center of attention, then he's not happy!"
He rambled on, "And his whole obsession with Daisy? Don't get me started. They don't even let us write for the albums—at all. You know, Graham wrote a song. A fucking great song. And you know what Billy said?"
"What did he say?" You hummed.
"He said no, we don't want your damn song on the album because it's not your job to write the songs."
You tilted your head to the side, "Verbatim?"
"Well, no, but that's what he meant," Eddie groaned, bracing himself against one of the barstools in the kitchen, "He's got a stick permanently shoved up his ass."
You got up from your spot on the couch and walked to stand behind him. Once your fingers found his shoulders, you began moving them in circles to loosen up the tension in his upper body.
He relaxed a bit, leaning into your touch.
"Eddie, I'm sorry that happened at the concert," You said, pressing a kiss to his shoulder blade, "Next time, stand your ground. Tell him if it's been decided you'll go out there, then you're going to go. To hell with what he thinks. It's not just his band, it's all of yours."
A sigh escaped his lips as he nodded, "It feels like shit being on his bad side. He always wants to be in control."
"Then let him," You said as he turned to face you, "It'll catch up with him eventually."
Eddie pressed his lips to your temple, wrapping his arms around you, "I'm sorry."
"For what?"
"I was a dick when I got home," He explained, "Didn't even ask how my girl's day was."
Your hand moved to cup his cheek, rubbing his cheekbone with your thumb, "It's okay, Ed, you had a shitty day with Billy. You know I'm here if you need someone to talk to. You should, anyway, I'm your wife."
Your teasing tone caused a slight smile to appear on his face as he leaned in to kiss you—properly, as he said, this time.
He pulled away not long after, "So, how were you while I was gone?"
"About that," You said, taking a step back towards the living room to grab something from beneath the side table, "I have a surprise for you."
"For me?" He questioned, confusion washing over his face before he raised his eyebrows, "I mean, if you're in the mood, I am. How long has it been? Since the day before the tour?"
Playfully glaring back at Eddie, you picked the small box up and carried it over to him, "Put your hands out
"I feel like a kid all over again," He admitted as he stuck his hands out, "Don't tell me I have to close my eyes."
"You don't."
"Is it a pony?" He teased, causing you to laugh in response.
You shrugged, "Let's just hope I got the right kind."
He held the box in his hands, confused as to what it could be.
"Open it."
He undid the ribbon, sliding it off the box before lifting the lid. The bassist was left with more tissue paper, something he was never fond of.
Once he lifted back the layers and saw the contents, his eyes widened.
Inside was a pair of little baby boots and a small guitar pick. Unlike some of his bandmates who would've stared at it wondering what it meant until they had to be told, it clicked in his head right away.
In a small, soft voice, his eyes met yours, "You're pregnant?"
You nodded as he set the box down on the coffee table, gently taking you in his arms and weaving his hands through your hair, pressing your head to his chest.
"God, I'm gonna be a dad."
Smiling into his chest, you inhaled the lingerinf scent of his cologne, "The best."
The two of you stood there for a while, living in the world you had created on your own. In that moment, there was no Billy, no band, and no way in hell anything could ever tear you away from eachother.

You didn’t sleep last night. You couldn’t. You were frozen in place, eyes wide open for majority of the night. Eddie, your friend since you were 14 and long term crush, was sleeping right next you. The close proximity made your heart race, you were so full of adrenaline that sleeping was far from your mind.
Eddie had offered his bed to you after you met up with the band in New York and decided to tag along with them. You didn’t think that when Eddie said, “you can sleep in my bed,” he meant right beside him, otherwise you would of found an alternative.
“You’re annoyed that you have to sleep next to Eddie?” Karen’s charming British accent rang through said boy’s ears as he walked past where you and Karen were sat backstage during rehearsals. Eddie came to a halt, hiding close by so he could listen. “Y/N, I thought you were infatuated by him why on Earth would sleeping beside him annoy you?” Karen laughed.
Eddie’s eyes widened at the words, his ears burning red. “Because I was turned on, Karen,” you replied, as if it was obvious. “He was right behind me and there wasn’t a single thing I could do because he clearly doesn’t feel the same way.”
“You don’t know that… you haven’t even asked him!” Karen exclaimed, pinching the bridge of her nose. “Y/N, he looks at you like you put the sun in the sky.”
You scoffed, rolling your eyes. “Then why hasn’t he made a move?” You asked, standing up from your seat. “It’s fine… only one more night, by the next show Rod will have booked me my own room.”
Later that same night, as you were getting ready for bed, Eddie was pondering his decision. He thought about sleeping on the couch, but it wasn’t even comfortable to sit on let alone sleep on, so he decided against it. You liked him, he had heard you say it and little did you know, Eddie liked you too.
When you entered the room Eddie was already laying down in bed. You considered slipping out of his suite, convincing Karen to kick Graham out of her bed and let you sleep next to her, but Eddie had already spotted you. He was smiling, pulling the blankets back for you.
Your heart raced, laying down next to him, pulling the comforter over your shoulders after turning the lamp that was sat on your bedside table off.
“Goodnight,” you said, rolling over so your back was facing him. Eddie didn’t reply, instead he stared at the back of your head. He had the upper hand, he knew that you liked him back, so what was he waiting for?
Eddie shuffled closer to you, his hand pushing on your hip, forcing you to fall onto your back. You furrowed your eyebrows at him, the faint light from the outside world beaming in through the curtains allowing him to see your facial expressions.
“What’s wrong-“
Before you could finish your sentence Eddie’s lips were on yours. The kiss was hungry, needy, his tongue slipping inside your mouth. You didn’t protest, you let him kiss you, sad once he pulled away.
“I overheard you today,” Eddie said, pressing a sloppy kiss against your jawline and then your neck. “Talking to Karen, about me.” You froze, your skin heating up.
Eddie’s hand slipped under the waist band of your pyjama pants and you gasped, feeling his cold fingers dance along your skin.
“Eddie, what are you doing?” You whispered, afraid to speak any louder, confused as to what was happening right now.
“Shh,” he coo’d, his free hand rubbing your cheek softly. “You should of told me the truth, Y/N,” Eddie said, his fingers pushing your panties aside. “I feel the exact same way about you.”
Your breath hitched in your throat as he plunged two fingers inside of you without warning. Your fingers gripping the sheets below, mouth opening slightly, staring into his eyes as he smirked down at you.
“If I knew I was turning you on I would of taken care of it last night,” Eddie said, pushing his lips against yours again as his fingers worked their magic inside of you. Your hands moved from their grip around the sheets and tangled through his messy blond hair. “Does this feel okay?” He asked, his tone full of lust.
You nodded your head. “Yes- fuck,” you gulped, your back arching off the bed as he hit that spot. He curled his fingers inside of you, a moan breaking free from your throat, you slapped your hands over your mouth.
Eddie pried your hands away from your face. “Don‘t,” he said, his voice stern. “I want to hear every pretty noise that comes out of your mouth, Y/N. I wanna hear just how good i’m making you feel.”
You let out a shaky breath as he wrapped his free hand around your neck. “You look good like that,” Eddie whispered against your lips. “With my hand wrapped around your neck.”
“Harder,” you whispered, staring up at him, brows furrowed in pleasure.
Eddie‘a face changed, his eyes darkening, his grip around your neck tightening, making you whimper. “Beg for it,” he said.
You gulped. “Please,” you said, but obviously that wasn’t enough. “Please, Eddie,” you moaned, but his pace was steady. “Jesus Christ I need it, please!” You cried.
Eddie smirked down at you. “So needy and desperate,” he said, pushing a third finger inside of you and giving you what you wanted, finger fucking you with so much force it made your eyes squeeze shut. “Eyes open, baby,” Eddie teased. “Keep those pretty eyes on me.”
You stared at him, your face contorting into a look of pure bliss, sinful noises escaping your lips, your fingernails were digging into the skin of his biceps, his hand still around your neck. “You’re gonna make me cum,” you moaned out, hips rolling in time with his fingers.
“Do it,” Eddie said. “Go on, cum for me.”
His words pushed your over the edge, a euphoric feeling washing over you as your lips stuttered and your core spasmed against his fingers, your moans growing whiner and whiner with every passing second. Eddie rode out your high, slowly pulling his fingers away from you, drawing out one final moan from your sweet lips.
You watched him as he brought his glistening fingers to his lips, sucking your juices off as if he had been waiting to taste you.
“Is it clear now that I like you?” Eddie asked, his hands wrapping around your waist, pulling your chest against his.
You smiled, a fuck out look on your face as you pecked at his lips. “Yes,” you sighed, happily.

The bustling bar was a sanctuary of rhythm and revelry, a haven where music echoed through the air and laughter intertwined with the clinking of glasses. Its dimly lit interior exuded a vintage charm, with walls adorned by colorful posters of iconic bands from the era. The aroma of spirits and the familiar buzz of conversation enveloped the space, creating an ambiance that oozed with nostalgia and possibility.
Amidst the lively crowd, Eddie found himself drawn to the bar, its magnetic energy pulling him closer. His eyes fell upon you, the enchanting bartender who seemed to command the room with a flick of your wrist and a radiant smile. He approached the counter with a grin, eager to engage in their delightful banter.
"Hey there, stranger," You greeted him, a mischievous glimmer in her eyes. The word "stranger" was delivered with a playful lilt, a nickname that hinted at the connection they were about to forge.
Eddie leaned against the bar, his voice brimming with charm. "Well, if I'm a stranger, then let me be the one who gets to know you better."
You chuckled, your fingers gracefully maneuvering the cocktail shakers. "Oh, so you're a smooth talker, huh? We'll see about that."
As the night unfolded, Eddie and you engaged in a delightful dance of words amidst the ebb and flow of the bar's enchanting melodies. The clinking of ice against glass, the occasional burst of laughter, and the vibrant hum of conversation formed the backdrop to your blossoming connection.
Eddie would order a drink, taking in the eclectic playlist that filled the room with nostalgia. You, always attentive, would slip playful comments into your conversation, occasionally referring to him as "stranger" as a playful reminder of their initial encounter.
Over time, your flirty exchanges at the bar evolved into something deeper and more intimate. The magnetism between you and Eddie grew stronger with each passing day, drawing you both into a passionate liaison that extended beyond the confines of the club.
As the night grew darker and the bar closed its doors, you found solace in each other's company. Eddie's presence became a constant, a reassuring presence waiting for you after your shift ended. Together, you would slip away to secret hideaways, where the world faded into insignificance, and it was only the two of you.
In the hushed corners of hotel rooms or the hidden embrace of secluded spots, you explored the depths of desire and indulged in the pleasures of each other's company. It was a friends-with-benefits arrangement, an unspoken agreement that allowed you both to revel in the physical connection without the complications of a committed relationship.
The moments shared were passionate and intoxicating. The touch of his hands, the taste of his lips, the way his body melded with yours—each encounter was a symphony of sensations, a dance of unspoken longing and untamed passion. In those stolen moments, you found release and a refuge from the demands of the world.
But as the flames of desire burned brightly, so too did the risk of falling deeper. Moments of tenderness would slip through the cracks, fleeting glimpses of a connection that extended beyond the physical. It was in those stolen glances, in the whispered words of affection, that the lines between friendship and something more became blurred.
The arrangement of a friend with benefits relationship was both thrilling and bittersweet. It allowed you to explore your desires, to indulge in the heat of the moment, yet it left the door ajar for the possibility of yearning for more. Every encounter was an intoxicating blend of pleasure and the unspoken question of what might lie beyond the confines of your secret trysts.
Together, you walked a tightrope, balancing between the exhilaration of passion and the lingering desire for something deeper. The memories created in those hidden moments would forever be etched in your hearts, a testament to the connection shared and the complexities of navigating a relationship that blurred the boundaries of friendship and desire.
You and Eddie carried on with what you had, you preferred not to name something so good, you just lived and loved every moment, but the love of desire and fulfillment of it made you careless. You sat on the edge of gour worn-out couch, your hands trembling as you clutched the positive pregnancy test. Thoughts raced through your mind like a whirlwind, and a mix of fear and excitement coursed through your veins. You needed to share this life-altering news with Eddie, although the fear of his reaction filled your chest every second pass.
With shaky fingers, you dialed Eddie's number, your voice filled with urgency and vulnerability as you pleaded, "Eddie, please come over. There's something important I need to tell you."
Minutes later, Eddie arrived at your doorstep, his face etched with concern. As he entered the apartment, his eyes met yours, searching for answers. The air was heavy with tension, thick with the weight of the news about to be shared.
"You're scaring me, you called me by my name on the phone." Eddie chuckled until he took knowledge of your worried features. "Is everything alright?"
Your voice quivered as you handed him the pregnancy test, your fingers brushing against each other in an electric moment. "I just found out," you whispered, your voice barely above a whisper and your hands trembling. "I'm pregnant, Eddie."
Eddie's eyes widened, his breath catching in his throat. The room fell silent, the gravity of the situation sinking in. He stepped closer to you, his voice filled with a mix of awe and disbelief. "A baby?" he murmured, his eyes never leaving yours. "You're carrying our child?"
You nodded, tears glistening in your eyes. "Yes, Eddie. What the hell are we gonna do?"
Emotions cascaded over Eddie's face like a tidal wave. The initial shock gave way to a profound sense of responsibility and determination. He closed the distance between you, gently cupping your face in his hands. "Y/N, I know we didn't plan any of this, not at all, but I'm here to support you" he says, his voice filled with raw emotion. "And being honest with you, knowing that we have a child together, it brings me more comfort than having this baby with anyone else. Of course, if that's your choice... having the baby."
"I want to have the baby." You say crying and he hugs you closer, conveying comfort.
Tears spilled down your cheeks as you clung to Eddie's words, your heart swelling with a mix of gratitude and love. In that tender moment, they shared an unspoken understanding that this unexpected twist of fate was an opportunity for growth and a chance to explore the depths of their connection. And of course, you agreed to be your best selves for this child.
After hours of talking that morning, you decided that it would be better to cut off any romantic attitudes between you, for the sake of the baby it would be better not to confuse anything from now on.
With your hands entwined, you faced the unknown together, ready to embrace the journey of parenthood as a united front. Little did you know that this new chapter would not only reveal the strength of your love but also redefine your understanding of yourselves and the remarkable bond you shared.
You were feeling horrible, the nausea wouldn't leave you alone since last morning and your head ache as if a carnival float was giving a parade in it. Eddie was by your side all this time, helping you with everything you needed and if you were honest that messed with your feelings, you knew it was his duty as this baby's father, but the cold that grew in your stomach when he took care of you was inevitable.
You had your eyes closed but you couldn't sleep, you could hear Roundtree in the kitchen preparing something for you to have dinner and you decide to get up and go to him. You stop at the entrance to the kitchen, an involuntary smile spreads across your face when you see the way he was trying to understand the recipe.
You watched the clock on the wall pass the hours and your chest tightened at the thought of him leaving your place, his presence made you feel more relaxed about all of this. You involuntarily rest your hand on your belly that already showed your baby's development, you sigh loudly catching the bassist's attention.
"You alright there?" He asks, and you try to hold in a laugh when you see him in an apron. "Did our little bean let you rest?"
"Not actually." You smile weakly, approaching him. "Would you mind spending the night?"
Eddie's body freezes, he wonders several times if his ears had heard correctly, he turns to you analyzing every detail in your face for any sign of joke or humor, and when he doesn't find it he worries. "Are you that bad? Don't you want me to take you to the hospital?"
You roll your eyes and instantly give up making the invitation, maybe you had misunderstood what he felt. You leave the kitchen disappointed, "I'm going to my room."
Worried, Roundtree turned off the fire and made his way towards the bedroom, following the sound of your voice. As he entered the room, he found you lying on the bed, your eyes fixed on the ceiling, lost in your thoughts.
"I like it when you're here," you whispered, your voice filled with a mix of vulnerability and longing. Sensing his presence, you turned your head towards him, your eyes locking with his. Roundtree sat on the edge of the bed, his gaze attentive as he listened intently to your words.
"I want you to stay, but if you don't... It's okay, I understand," you continued, your voice tinged with a hint of sadness.
Roundtree's expression softened, his hand reaching out to gently stroke your leg. "You know I'll do anything to help you through the pregnancy," he reassured, his voice filled with genuine concern. "I'll stay with you."
Despite his words, an underlying sense of unease lingered on his face, his turmoil evident. He felt the weight of the situation, the frustration of not knowing how to improve things or make you feel better. "Look, I don't know what I did to upset you but–"
Before he could finish his sentence, you closed the distance between you, surprising him with an unexpected kiss. It was a passionate and spontaneous gesture, born out of the emotions swirling between you. Roundtree's initial surprise gave way to a reciprocated desire as he kissed you back, his lips meeting yours in a moment of shared vulnerability and longing.
In that instant, the worries and uncertainties melted away, replaced by the warmth of your connection. The kiss spoke volumes, expressing the depth of your feelings for each other, transcending the words that had gone unspoken.
"I want you to stay because of me." You say after the kiss, feeling his breath hitch on your face. "That's what I want, I want you."
"My precious…" He smiles, closing his eyes. "Are you sure?"
"I don't want you to just be my baby's daddy." You say frustrated, pulling away from him a little. "Stay with me..."
Eddie was holding back a smile, and you knew he wanted to make some joke of the situation, or of course, drop a line at you. "Just say it stranger."
"So you want me to be your daddy, uh?" The smirk that grew on his face made you let out a genuine laugh.
"You're ridiculous!" You exclaim pulling him down onto the bed. "Now cuddle with me."
Amidst the journey of pregnancy, you and Eddie found yourselves navigating uncharted emotional territory. The anticipation of becoming parents together brought a newfound awareness of your feelings, deepening your connection in unexpected ways.
As the months passed, you couldn't help but notice Eddie's increased affection and care towards you. He would accompany you to doctor's appointments, his hand resting protectively on your growing belly, his eyes filled with awe and wonder. The way he spoke to your unborn child, whispering words of love and promises of a bright future, touched your heart in ways you had never imagined.
One quiet morning, as the dawn cast a soft glow into the room, you and Eddie found yourselves sitting side by side on the edge of the bed. You placed Eddie's hand on your belly, feeling the gentle kicks and movements of your little one.
Eddie's voice was filled with tenderness as he addressed your unborn child. "Hey there, little one, they're kicking" he whispered the last part at you with a sparkle in his eyes and you can't help but smile, his voice carrying a mixture of awe and excitement. "You're growing stronger every day, and we can't wait to meet you. Your mom and I love you more than words can express."
You watched Eddie, your heart swelling with a mixture of joy and affection. "That's right, baby," you chimed in, your voice filled with warmth. "You're surrounded by so much love. We're here for you, every step of the way."
Suddenly, your baby let out a particularly enthusiastic kick, causing you to laugh. "Looks like our little kicker is ready for some action," you exclaimed, a playful gleam in your eyes.
Eddie chuckled, his hand still resting on your belly. "I think our future rockstar is already rehearsing for their first concert," he joked, his voice filled with amusement.
You playfully nudged Eddie's arm. "Well, just don't let Warren know about it cuz since I told him that the baby won't stop kicking, he's been to like twenty different stores looking for a mini drum set," you say, laughing as you remembered the drummers words.
Eddie feigned a hurt expression, placing a hand over his heart dramatically. "It's not like my child is going to play the drums, it's business will be string instruments, right little bean?" he retorted, kissing your belly, a twinkle in his eyes.
You both burst into laughter, your shared humor creating an atmosphere of joy and lightness. In that moment, you realized that amidst the seriousness of pregnancy and impending parenthood, there was room for laughter and playfulness.
As the first rays of sunlight peeked through the curtains, you and Eddie sat in laughter-filled silence, your hearts intertwined with the tiny heartbeat within your womb. The sunlight hits your naked body and your boyfriend admires you as if you are the most beautiful work in the world, you feel a flush on your cheeks and you look away.
"Are you embarrassed now, my precious?" He says laying closer to you, kissing your cheek. "After everything we did tonight?" He says with a sly look and you smack him on the arm, burying your face in the pillow.
"I need to sleep, the baby hasn't been quiet all night." You close your eyes pretending to sleep.
"Hey baby, let your mother sleep, daddy tired her today" Eddie whispers close to your navel, as if sharing a secret with your child.
You sit up with a serious look on your face, your face now hot with embarrassment. "Hey! Don't talk about these things with the baby."
"My bad my bad." He says after a series of laughs from you, pulling you closer to him. "Now come sleep in my arms, my precious." He kisses the top of your head and you feel safe and sound.
Inside the bustling recording studio, Daisy Jones and the Six poured their hearts into the music, unaware of the impending news. Eddie's fingers glided across the bass strings, his mind fully absorbed in the melodies.
Suddenly, Teddy Price, their producer, burst into the room, his face flushed with urgency.
"Eddie, I've got something important," Teddy called out, waving for them to stop playing.
Eddie takes off his headphones, waiting for the older man to tell him what was going on. "Y/N's waters broke. She's on her way to the hospital. It's time," he announced.
"What?!" Warren yelled, jumping from his drum set.
Everyone turns to Rojas with raised eyebrows, he was excited about the idea of being godfather from the beginning of your pregnancy. Eddie felt his heart pounding like a wild animal, it was time, he was going to meet his baby.
Desperate they go to Warren's van, the streets of LA were congested with people returning to their homes after a long day at work and Warren felt he was going to have a breakdown.
"¡Vete a la mierda, cabrón!" Rojas cursed yet another driver who passed in front of him, his hands were sweating and he was struggling to concentrate.
"Warren is already the second exit you missed." Billy says irritated, he saw Eddie desperate in the passenger seat. "Let's change places."
"It's not your goddaughter being born, I'm the one driving!" Warren speaks sullenly at the situation.
"First of all, we don't even know if it's a girl, second of all...Quit being reckless!" Billy gets up from the back of the van taking Warren's belt off.
"Do you want to kill me?" Rojas says as he feels the grip of the feeling released from him.
"Get out of there Warren!" Billy pulls the drummer to the back of the van as the vehicle stops at the light.
"Okay okay, but only because I wanted to!" He says switching places with the older Dunne, Eddie makes a face when he sees Rojas' ass on his face during this change of places.
Eddie stepped into the hospital, his heart pounding with a mix of anticipation and nervousness. The scent of antiseptic hung in the air, mingling with the faint aroma of flowers brought by well-wishers. The walls were adorned with faded paintings, remnants of an era gone by, while the sound of muffled voices and beeping machines created a symphony of activity.
He followed the signs that led him down a long corridor, his footsteps echoing against the tiled floor. The atmosphere was hushed, the occasional sound of a baby's cry punctuating the stillness. The soft hum of conversations between doctors and nurses drifted through the hallways, adding to the sense of purpose that permeated the space.
As Eddie approached the door to the labor and delivery ward, he paused for a moment, gathering his thoughts. The sound of his own heartbeat filled his ears, the weight of impending fatherhood settling upon his shoulders. He took a deep breath, finding solace in the knowledge that you were just beyond that door, bringing your child into the world.
Roundtree pushed open the door to the labor and delivery ward, and his eyes immediately fell upon you, lying in the hospital bed. Beads of perspiration dotted your forehead, evidence of the intense physical exertion you were going through. The room was filled with a symphony of sounds—the rhythmic beeping of monitors, the hushed whispers of medical staff, and your own deep, controlled breaths.
Your face was a canvas of mixed emotions, a cocktail of determination, pain, and anticipation. Your brows furrowed with each contraction, the waves of discomfort coursing through your body. The lines of your face tightened, and your grip on the bed rails tightened in response to the increasing intensity.
The air in the room seemed to hum with a sense of purpose and urgency. Nurses and doctors moved around you, their voices soft and comforting as they offered encouragement and monitored your progress. Their gentle touch and soothing words were like anchors, providing a sense of support in the midst of the storm.
As Eddie approached your bedside, his heart ached seeing you in this state. He took your hand in his, intertwining his fingers with yours, offering a steadying presence. He could feel the strength of your grip, a testament to your resilience and determination. His eyes never wavered from your face, his love and admiration shining through the concern etched on his features.
Each contraction rippled through your body like a storm, intensifying and then subsiding, leaving you breathless but resolute. The pain etched lines of raw vulnerability on your face, but there was also an undeniable beauty in the strength you displayed, the unwavering commitment to bring life into the world.
Amidst the physical sensations that consumed you, your eyes met Eddie's, finding solace in his presence. In that shared gaze, unspoken words passed between you, a silent acknowledgment of the journey you were on together. His touch and unwavering support were a lifeline, grounding you in the midst of the whirlwind of labor.
As the medical team continued to guide you through each contraction, their voices blending with the symphony of beeps and your own primal vocalizations, Eddie stood by your side, a pillar of unwavering support. He whispered words of encouragement, his voice a gentle melody amidst the chaos, reminding you of the strength within you.
In that labor and delivery room, time seemed to bend and sway, as if the world outside ceased to exist. The pain and intensity were all-consuming, but through it all, a glimmer of hope and anticipation shone in your eyes. Eddie, witnessing your strength and perseverance, knew in his heart that together you would weather this storm, emerging on the other side with a precious gift—a new life, their baby, a testament to the love you shared.
Amid the pain that fills your body like a devastating wave you hear your baby's cry and such a sound in your eardrums makes you cry too. The doctor announces the arrival of his daughter and Eddie smiles widely when he sees the crumpled face of the baby, Aurora Roundtree, his new reason to live was right there for just a fell second and changed everything for him.
"You did it, my precious.” He kisses the top of her head. “Our daughter is beautiful."
You didn't know what to expect, after all everything with your boyfriend's band was always beyond any kind of imagination and possibility. Although you took care of your newborn together with her father, you feared what the presence of your friends could bring.
"Warren is the last I tell you." You say into the phone, as Eddie naps your daughter. "If you bring weed over here, I'll rip you apart."
Eddie starts laughing softly, trying not to wake up little Aurora who was sleeping peacefully in his arms. When she finally falls asleep he puts her in her crib, then hugs you tenderly.
"Don't you miss some weed darling?" he asks in a playful tone and you pat his chest.
They didn't take long to arrive, Camila Billy and Julia were the first. The little toddler approaches you with a gift and hands it to you with a shy smile.
"Thank you Jules." You say bending down to pick up the package. "Do you want to see the little bean?"
The little one waves shyly, hiding behind her father's leg, you hold out your hand for her to lead her to her daughter's crib. Julia stands nearby admiring the baby curiously and you stand beside her while Billy, Camila and Eddie talk.
Some time later Daisy arrives with Karen, both with their proper gifts in hand, you thank them and introduce the little one to them and as time goes by you talk and eat the snack prepared by Eddie moments before they arrive.
When the sound goes down, you notice the delay of Graham and Warren and you get worried, both of them didn't answer the phone at the house in Laurel Canyon and that increased the anguish of not knowing where they are.
You hear the classic rumble of the van's old engine and it automatically quiets your heartbeats, but before it becomes a pattern you hear a loud noise followed by an "Ouch".
Interestingly, everyone leaves for the front door of the house, finding Warren with his hands on his toes, Graham scratching his head and a relatively large box with a sticker that says 'Fragile.'
"What the fuck is this Rojas?" You question while laughing at the situation.
Warren ignores the pain shooting up from his toes into his body, spreads his arms and points to the box with excitement. "Guess who found a mini drum set?"

Getting drunk wasn’t something you weren’t used to. Since The Six had risen to fame, parties were a common occurrence for you and the band. There was a lively buzz coming from the crowd, and the alcohol in your system made you feel fuzzy on the inside. You were sitting next to Camilla on the couch, talking quietly to yourselves as the party continued. Occasionally, your eyes would meet with Graham’s, and he offered you a small smile.
“Who are you looking at?” Camilla nudged your side teasingly.
That was the only thing you hated about these parties. Graham. Your boyfriend. The tow of you had agreed to keep your relationship on the down low, especially with the band’s newfound fame. The last thing you needed was for the whole world to know about your relationship. Unfortunately, the whole world meant everyone, including your bandmates. It’s not that you didn’t trust them. You did, for the most part, but someone could easily slip up.
“Nothin’,” you shrugged, directing your attention back on Camilla, “Tryna see if I could spot anyone slightly interesting.” “No one’s caught you’re attention yet?” she hums, “You’ve looked over that way a few times now.”
You inwardly curse at yourself for thinking Camilla wouldn’t notice your longing stares. She notices everything.
“No, there’s never really anyone interesting at these parties anyway.” You say, grabbing your beer and taking a long sip of it. You screw up your nose a little, the strong taste hitting the back of your throat.
Camilla nods her head, seemingly satisfied by that response.

Slowly, the party began to die down. The people left, and the house was now a complete mess, solo cups and bottles everywhere, leaving the floor quite sticky, and a prominent smell of alcohol lingered in the house. Even though the house was in desperate need of cleaning, you and the band sat on the couches, talking about everything and anything. The alcohol you drunk no longer had you feeling bubbly and talkative, instead you now felt sleepy.
The need for sleep was getting to your head, and fast. You turn to the side, resting your head on Graham’s shoulder, allowing for your eyes to flutter shut.
“Is my shoulder not good enough to be leant on?” Warren feigns shock from the other side of you. You opened your eyes, noticing him and the others actively staring at you.
“No, I think I prefer my boyfriend, but thanks for the offer.” You say, smiling sweetly, before leaning back on Graham’s shoulder with your eyes closed.
“Your what?” Warren yells, his eyes flicking between you and Graham.
Graham’s face is bright red, but you seem to out of it to realise what you actually said.
“Shh, Warren, ‘m tired.” You groan instead, leaning in further to Graham’s touch.
“I think it’s time for you to go to bed.” he whispers into your hair, also using it to partly hide his face.
You grumble slightly, but don’t necessarily disagree, so Graham gently says goodnight to the other band members, leading you back into your room. He places you down on the bed with ease, and he lifts up your legs to drape the blanket over you, knowing how much you hate waking up cold.
He flicks the lightswitch off, looking back at you and watching the way your chest rises and falls with each even breath you take. He smiles to himself, before shutting the door softly.
“Wanna tell us what that was about, Graham?” Eddie grins, and Graham felt his face flush.
“Well, I mean, Y/N, kinda said it all.” Graham says, rubbing the back of his neck.
“And you didn’t think to tell us?” Billy asks, and Graham shook his head.
“It’s not like that… it’s just… y’know, Y/N was worried. Rumours, all that shit. We didn’t really need anything going out to the public just yet. A-And it’s not that we don’t trust you guys! We do, but we were just getting big when we first got together, and we didn’t want someone to accidentally… slip up or anything.” Graham replies, trying to keep it together.
“I get it, don’t worry. And hey, for what it’s worth, you guys are really cute together. You got good, Graham.” Billy grins at him, and Graham smiles back.

When you wake up the next morning, you aren’t shocked to find yourself still in your clothes from last night, makeup smudged everywhere, and a pounding headache. You get up slowly, taking a sip of the water left on your bedside table, undoubtedly from Graham. Holding your head, you change into some more comfortable clothes, an oversized shirt and a pair of leggings. Begrudgingly, you make your way out to the kitchen, hoping to find some paracetamol to stop the pain in your head.
“Well, good morning to you, too.” Graham grins. He’s sitting at the table with Eddie and Warren, eating a piece of toast.
“Morning,” You grumble back, searching through the cupboards for a tablet.
“Here, let me help you, love,” Graham says, getting up to help you search.
Hearing the name he just called you, you spun around fast, looking at him with wide eyes. “What?” you half-laugh, half stare blankly at him.
“You don’t remember?” Graham laughs, squeezing your side and planting a kiss on the top of your head.
Your eyebrows furrow in confusion. “No…” you whisper.
He leans down, whispering the events of last night in your ear.
“I said what?!”
