Chrissy the Vampire Slayer AU
“Why are you following me?” Chrissy demanded. Just for once she would have loved to have a normal night out like any other teenage girl, but there was something funny about this guy. She’d been around the block enough to know when to trust her instincts - and this guy was trouble with a capital T. He was eyeing her like she was an ice cream sundae with extra sprinkles.
“I know what you’re thinking, but don’t worry. I don’t bite,” he smirked. “Truth is, I thought you’d be taller. Or bigger, muscles and all that. You’re pretty spry though…”
She didn’t for one minute relax her stance. So he knew who she was, what she hunted. He said he wasn’t a vampire but that didn’t rule out all the other creepy things that went bump in the night. “What do you want?”
“Same thing you do.”
“OK, what do I want?”
“To kill ’em. To kill ’em all.”
She sighed. “Sorry! That’s incorrect but you do get this lovely watch and a year’s supply of shitty band tee-shirts. What I want is to be left alone…”
She could hear music coming from The Bronze, as well as the sounds of kids hanging out and having fun. She was supposed to be inside trying to make friends, damn it, not exchanging wise cracks with some wannabe punk in a dimly lit alley.
“D’you really think that’s an option anymore? You’re standing on the mouth of Hell. And it’s about to open.”
He reached into the pocket of his faded leather jacket. He tossed a black jewelry box at her and she caught it without thinking. The guy - whoever the hell he was - turned and began to walk away.
“Who are you?” she called.
“Let’s just say, I’m a friend.”
“Yeah, well, maybe I don’t want a friend.”
“I didn’t say I was yours.”
Inside the box was a pretty silver cross on a delicate chain. Chrissy examined it for a moment before stuffing the box in her pocket.
What a freak, she thought.

These two were so cute!! I had to try to draw them, esp a small doodle of little middle schooler Eddie with a buzzcut at the talent show :) . I’d like to think that if they had a chance, they’d make eachother mixtapes so Eddie is listening to Madonna’s “Crazy for You” and Chrissy is listening to Black Sabbath’s “N.I.B” (”Touch me once and you’ll know it’s true”; “Some people say my love cannot be true”)

just imagine chrissy in the afterlife hearing the tail-end of ‘master of puppets’ because it transcends worlds, and then a few minutes later eddie arrives. there’s a big reunion, full of hugging and crying and chrissy slowly realizing he’s dead, and then he mentions the song (but not the dedication). and chrissy, not knowing the significance of this, tells him, “that’s my favorite song.”
eddie sobs.

In a universe where everybody lives, Chrissy and Eddie become a thriving couple and Corroded Coffin are a 90s sensation, every album the band releases has an intro song that's always titled C.C. It's not long, one minute max, mostly instrumental, or, on occasions, with a statement lyric, like an one-sentence poem, at the very end and, each time, it features a plethora of different instruments (piano, saxophone, flute, literally anything that Eddie can get his hands on), starting slow, almost acoustic, and then building up until the music reaches a crescendo, a powerful guitar riff wrapping up all the instruments nicely, so the sound matches the following typical Corroded Coffin songs perfectly. It's Eddie's personal touch to every album and nobody questions it; all the members of the band know that it's going to be such an intro song every time they're recording a new record. Their fans love these opening songs, categorizing every C.C. song into eras and looking forward to the new ones. Plus, it's a nice little detail, starting every album with their initials, their signature, on the very first song.
What comes to everyone's - their manager's, their producers', the rest of the band members', Chrissy's herself - surprise is Eddie's confession during an interview for the Rolling Stone magazine, after years of the band's on-going success, that the initials of their intro songs do not stand for Corroded Coffin but for Chrissy Cunningham, the name of the edgy rockstar's beloved wife, because she is the beginning of it all; the person who believed in him and the band when nobody else did, the person who was there for every up and every down, his loudest cheerleader, his steady rock, his biggest inspiration, his one and only love.
"Without Chrissy, I wouldn't be the person I'm today, this man, this musician. So, each album starts with a dedication to her, a 'Chrissy, this is for you' but in the language I know best; music." Eddie elaborates further on the question, leaving the people in the room stunned.

You know what's the saddest part about Chrissy and Eddie dying? That they never got to interact with Murray. The man that made Jancy happen. The man that knocked some sense into Jopper, regarding their obvious sexual tension. The man that would take a look at them and be like "Alright, you two, listen carefully. You had a crush on her since forever and you are in need of a bad boy to rock your dull world. Go find a room, confess your feelings and give each other some much needed relief, so, then, we can move on to more pressing matters, okay?"
