thinking about the planned/never executed dsmp timeloop ending again

and how everything makes so much more sense because of it.

thinking about how it explains the way it's a land beyond time, where their technology is still that of crossbows and swords but there's also vehicles (drug/burger van) and screens/computers (las nevadas).

thinking about how tales of the smp makes 100000x more sense with it. thinking about how wilbur didnt have a room in mizu because he could've removed himself from the loop by leaving the smp and going to utah (theory from @/idkwatthehec !!)

thinking about how it actually fixes the nuke ending,, to an extent.

thinking about how every character's story just has that much more impact, because they're so intrinsically Themselves and they've likely lived out similar arcs many times before since it's just the way that they and the people around them Are.

thinking about how such minor details, such as removing one person or object, could dramatically change the loop's course.

thinking about how much more terrifying the idea of limbo is after that. does it reset with the rest of the smp? does it exist beyond the loop? etc.

thinking about how, if wilbur was able to leave and escape to utah, does the loop extend outwards to the rest of the world, or is it just an isolated thing inside the smp? and what this would mean for the extent of drmxd's power

thinking about characters forgetting, but their souls remembering the tiniest things. tommy still getting a feeling of dread when he's near tnt. tubbo still jumping a little harder than normal around fireworks. ranboo getting an odd sense of sick deja vu when he sees obsidian.

eggpire-affected people having a sort of guilt that they can't understand the source of or why it follows them.

There's something really special thinking about dsmpblr like i don't think i'll ever forget the joy liveblogging stuff together and reacting in real time to things like ctommy's prison death or doomsday. cwilbur being revived? eggpire stuff esp tftsmp the egg in the past? FINAL DISC? like there's something so wonderful in what we experienced together and created together when all is said and done.

ok if we r gonna talk cpunz can i say the more i think about the scene at the eggpires ctommy death party where cpunz breaks his hold under the egg and his own personal facade and expresses genuine sadness for ctommy all the fucking time. like do u think as cpunz fake doublecrossed cdream part of him felt like by doing this he could still do right by ctommy. do u think somewhere deep inside of cpunz had hoped cdream never got out. like, "but i saved him." BUT I SAVED HIM!!!!??

(i know ur talking about them specifically in s4 rn but im not over this and no one else gets cpunz tbh)

He pretended to betray Dream and over time he felt more and more like betraying Dream for real was the right thing to do im gonna be sick!!!!

egg arc ctommy thoughts. Him being idealized by c!sam and puffy for being immune to the egg and being used by c!Sam to justify his treatment of the eggpire. (Well Tommy's immune so obviously you just didn't try hard enough to fight it) This is unpleasant for everyone involved.

the egg just doesn’t want to deal with the inevitable fallout trying to claim the protagonist of another horror movie would cause. crossovers are hard yo.

being into bg3 has only deepened my bitterness towards eggpire/badlands fans who were Like That about cTommy like I'm sorry but if I can manage to not be gross abt Astarian despite being a tad annoyed at his focus in fan content and at times the game itself ar the expense of other characters, yall don't have an excuse

Ok so I was just thinking back to the Eggpire cause why not.

Anyway does anyone know why Tommy is immune to the Egg?? Cause I got a headcanon or two.

And by that I mean two.

Tommy's a demigod or smth. Yeah duh. Would be really cool, sure, but not really plausible in canon cause yknow. Wilbur’s canonically an only child. I think.

Now this one I like. The Egg tempts people by offering them things. But CTommy is just. There. He isn't tempted by material shit. He's got his discs. He's got a decent relationship w/ his friends. He's happy. He's got nothing to want, so the Egg just doesn't know what to say ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

jesu schrist. channah. i always think ab that ctommy-based prime religion idea and then i think ab fairy culture and if they have a religion. and then i think about the egg. and worship. and stuff. and then i think about post eggpire and how that would change her relationship to mindlessly obeying a higher power. and how religion could be so entrenched in fairy culture that she feels she's not a part of it anymore. not to mention she already lost her wings. so like. who is she if not who she was :(

I'm not ready for todays lore, because i honestly do not think c!tommy is going to survive.

I mean just looking at it from a cc POV, we know tommy took heavy inspiration for the final disc war confrontation from avengers endgame, and having a character that has consistently been pegged as selfish, as "not the one to make the sacrifice play" then be the one to take out the big bad for the good of the universe (tony stark to c!tommy parallels) it makes sense.

And from a c!tommy perspective it also makes sense, not because he needed to learn a lesson about not choosing objects over people because god knows he's done that enough already, but because no matter how much you want it not to be true, CDREAMS MANIPULATION HAD A LAST EFFECT ON HIM.

It might not have worked out the way cdream wanted it, i firmly believe that he wanted ctommy to become an obedient pet, a plaything for him to order around because he liked being in control of everything, especially ctommy.

And even though it didn't work quite as planned - ctommy clued in enough to leave exile, to stand up for himself, that doesn't mean the seeds of his work didn't take root. If you spend years telling someone that they brought their abuse upon themselves, that they are a burden and it is their fault there are problems, and that they are the root cause of issues on the server, THEY WILL BELIEVE IT.

I mean as far as ctommy was concerened there was plenty of evidence to support what cdream was telling him, cjack and cniki repeatedly made attempts on his life because he had caused so many issues, cbad and the rest of the eggpire similarly tried to have him killed AND CELEBRATED HIS DEATH, after cwilbur was revived csam blamed him for the breach in the prison and berated him for it. He was bound to start believing what cdream told him, especially with so little evidence to the contrary.

So of course he would think this is the only option, of course he would think that his life isn't worth more than the server, OF COURSE HE WOULD MAKE THE SACRIFICE PLAY. THE ONLY PERSON HE HAS LEFT THAT HE REALLY REALLY CARES ABOUT IS CTUBBO, AND HE WOULD DO ANYTHING TO MAKE SURE HE GETS TO LIVE. HE'S BEEN CARRYING THE GUILT OF MOMENTARILY CHOOSING THE DISCS OVER CTUBBO SINCE THE CONFRONTATION AT THE COMMUNITY HOUSE AND ITS WORN ON HIM SO MUCH SO THAT HE IS DETERMINED NOT TO LET IT HAPPEN AGAIN. HE ISN'T GOING TO LET CTUBBO GO INTO CHECKMATE AGAIN.

I want so badly to be wrong, i really fucking want a cclingyduo happy ending, ctubbo figures out how to convert the nuke into a rocket overnight and they get to leave, just the two of them in a cosy cottage on the moon. But i seriously doubt that is where the story will end.

I think the story will end in an explosion.

the thing about ctommy is that he lost everything but love.

ctommy never stopped loving. he never stopped caring! Think about it. we watched ctommy lose hope, grow bitter, "i never used to be this angry", grow afraid, have no goals other than safety (and even that was shaky at best), from feeling isolated, to giving up to the pt he only ever had wooden tools and like 2 pieces of bread on him. We watched ctommy morph and change to someone who had to grow up too fast, to someone that lost everything and more and was in constant danger until the end of that server.

But, he still had love somehow. He still loved people. He still built that hotel and invited everyone to it, including people that wanted him dead (eggpire & dream). He still stood in the remains of l'manberg overgrowing with LIFE again, in silent awe no anger at cphilza who was in Doomsday. c!Tommy still loved cq even when he yelled at him about why no one came for him in exile (in regard to focus on the Butcher Army in NLM). He still got dinner with ctubbo every so often even though things were beyond abnormal between them and that server. He still saw the Prime Path as connection to people. He still loved c!Wilbur even when he lied about his intentions with L'Manberg, and when he faked the disc thing, when he left for Utah. He still visited c!Techno before the Final Disc and he still thought that home as the safest he ever had.

He always had love even when he never had to.
