Prompt 30

 DC prompt where the heroes get magically cursed or changed into animals for a bit. Chaos of course reigns while they are so- though the magician regrets their actions. Wonder Woman is scary enough, but instead of being something small she’s now a very big bear who isn’t happy. Robin? He’s now a goose with a sword and he’s not afraid to continue to use it. Marvel is happily a giant tiger who- oh no now all seven of the marvels are big cats who can apparently still call down lightning. For some reason they change between big cats and domestic ones, but maybe it’s just something wrong with the spell??

 The magician had no chance, even if some were far smaller and less scary creatures. Honestly, who expected a hare to be able to break someone's kneecaps? The villains sure didn’t but here they are, getting defeated when they thought it would be easier to defeat the heroes now that they don’t have opposable thumbs. Well, most don’t, that raccoon somehow found a gun and knows how to use it..

 The one issue the heroes find after fixing everything? They can apparently still turn into animals, sometimes at less than opportune times unless they can learn how to control it.

I always appreciate just how much Arenanet/Guild Wars 2 puts into making a difference in kids' lives each year for what can be-- really scary for kids to have to go through in hospital visits to feel better. They always deserve the best that life can give, and any chance we can to help that is a beautiful thing. 🧡

Last year, I participated in Extra Life as a streamer, and donating to the cause whatever I earned. I thought it would be cute and fun to have the opportunity that my cat kiddos might show up in the game someday, so I jumped on that particular opportunity. I didn't know when they'd be added, and I didn't really care. The donations were and always will be for the kids.

On September 12th, I had to say goodbye to one of my cats. It was the hardest thing I've had to do in all my life so far, but Ellie's at peace.  I remembered what I had done last year, and thought to go looking for her and her brother, who's still with us, in Tyria. I found them in the Snow Leopard lodge, Desmond and Ellie, hanging out by the hearth. I had forgotten that I asked if they could be someplace toasty.  The placement is purely coincidental that they're hanging by a brunette norn lady too, that I could see as myself hanging with them; even if this NPC has been sitting here staying toasty for well over a decade at this point.

I didn't have the foresight then, but I'm so glad I can have this little comfort forever.

Thank you, ANet, for taking the time to put so many loving and lovingly-loved pets in the game. This means so much to me.

the cult of Insomnia is led by Asteria, the older sibling of the time twins, Rogue and Acronix.

Asteria is a vampire bat, contrary to their younger brother Acronix, who is a Fruit Bat.

Asteria only really trusts Inky, their closest, and only friend, besides Silver of course.

Silver doesn't really go to meetings anymore because of how involved they are with Venus, considering that Virus (Silver's brother) is Venus's husband.

Inky is a snow leopard, and she is insanely attached to Asteria, like Inky would cling onto Asteria all day long if given the chance.

Nathan, Silver's biological father, is still involved with the cult, just like Cameron (Neuro, Sol, Ellis and Camille's dad).

Cameron and Nathan are friends, Cameron, just like Molly, makes Nathan less anxious.

rambling about my ocs.

i don’t fully identify with the label ‘furry’, but i do like to draw anthro animals to represent myself and i thought i’d explain a bit. Some are far more significant than others, but I tend to create characters to represent specific feelings and emotions/ the different ways i think of myself. After that they tend to get a bit more seperate, their own backstories etc. but starting as bits of me.

Ellie the Hyena ^^ (they/she)  - The most ‘me’ character I use to represent myself the most often. Though.. more goofy and optimistic xD Made originally to represent myself to the world. Curiosity, humour, being without fear of filter.

Leo the Red Panda (he/him) - the grumpiest red panda possible. One eye, *former* optimist, tends to be tired. Works nights as a cleaner. He really loves his friends, but would never tell them that. Used to hang around junkyards/dumps a lot. Made originally to put all my cynicism, grumpiness, loyalty and practicallity into.

Wick the Dog (they/them (and rerely he)) - My very nervous puppy. They tend to be anxious and quiet. Wears hairbands on their left wrist to match their right arm pattern. Enjoys collecting retrotech. Leo and Ellie affectionatly call them ‘Mutt’. Original feelings are very personal, the character I’m most hesitant to share.

Nevermore the Black Jaguar (she/they/who cares) art by my friend Hoop - Shortened to Nev, she’s cis, but doesn’t really care about identifying with gender. She’s confident, intelligent, mischivious, silly, flirty, but only really talks around individuals or close friends. She’s in her own world a lot of the time, basically noctournal working as a programmer. Doesn’t really care about most things, not because of apathy, she’s just usually pretty satisfied! Leo’s best friend, they’ve known eachother since they were young. I made her originally to hold intelligence, problem solving and that very specific feeling of choosing not to overthink and just have fun sometimes.

I don’t draw them together too often, (especially Leo and Nev) but I think of them as all living togetrher in a small house in the city. There’s a few more characters who live in their ‘world’ Casey + Misha - Tanuki and Badger gay couple who own a board game cafe. Wren the Snow Leopard - An old OC of mine made for motivation, ambition and self reflection, but they don’t get drawn very much.

Bram Marwood — crow

an intelligent animal who's closely related to death and completely black? that's Bram. also he'd appreciate the practicality of an animal that can fly.

Dot Ripley — rabbit

they're cute, small, hyperactive, and not the most agile creatures in the world. Dot would have a daemon she could cuddle with and coo over, for sure.

Benny Bayford — german shepherd

not only is Benny loyal and sweet like a dog, but he's also fiercely protective and clever like a german shepherd.

Reo Kunsei — snow leopard

so snow leopards are not only solitary animals who avoid almost all contact, but they're also incredibly calculating and love observing their prey, much like Reo.

Oz Reynolds — weasel

weasels are clever, and just like Oz they're wonderful escape artists who can get themselves out of anything. Oz, too, loves to weasel his way out of sticky situations. also, they avoid human contact and have a mean bite.

Matty Ellis — wolverine

wolverines are small but deadly, oftentimes taking down animals over three times their size. just like Matty they're angry little things hiding in a deceptively cute small package.

Then suddenly slick and chopper look at they're daughter and then Wolffe walks in and then sees ur trying to not cry again and she tries to be the tough guy but they all see she's not tough at all she runs to her room balling her eyes out and the landlord and real home owner comes in and sees she upset

Gus goes to the bedroom door. Gus:Knock knock. Are u ok?

And then the home owner and landlord both give this earthly mother daughter duo a shove off and into. The street

With all the little girls things and her dog to and seas your not welcome here anymore.

And that girl tries to hide her pain and then Gregor comes over and seas hang in there baby snow leopard don't cry.

But all she can think about is having a real roof warm food clean clothes and a warm bed to go to and the real home owner sees her as a bad kid a burden and sees her as a waste of space.

And they clame to many ppl in one home get lost l!

The girl never once plade the victim cus she is the victim

With a kid with design flaws in her programming and a dead beating heart and is only part earth child and part mandlorian

She sadly thinks of her toys and her clothes and her whole room decorated in her favorite colors and her favorite places and her helmet and rock collection getting packed away and the safety of her cats given to random ppl and put in a animal shelter

She runs outside to her favorite swing and cry's why lord? why? Why do this to me?!

Then suddenly her mother stars crying cus every friend but one true friend kicked her and her mum out and her dad's and uncles and aunts do all they can to keep her strong.

But nothing they do worked! They had to go they went to a family shelter then a true friend comes to a store and takes u in then u get a bath a clean bed a warm meal and real tv she asks are u ok?!

And then she looks at her uncle he looks at her gives a side smile and kiss on the head. And seas it'll be worth the will be ok we're free now.

And now she rests easy knowing she's going to have baths everyday again. A warm meal and a warm bed and tv and she'll go places.

And to get her regular routine back made her the happiest kid yet. She seas thank u aunt Angie thank u. With tears of joy and her black n broken heart being filled up again and she hugs her family tight and they all drive out of state as a family to Hawaii

And her dreams finally come true. And they lived happily ever after.

And one day while getting a caff slick watches through the window his little girl swinging in her cowgirl boots and looking at his happy ending he and chopper see theyr kids get the life they deserve.
