And this marks the end of Gladions Arc... It's been 3 long years since I started this arc. Granted, I was on hiatus for a full year due to my animated Comic Dub, but still. I'm glad I finally managed to finish this story after all this time. As always, thank you for your patience and thanks for reading!

Some notes for future updates: I will most likely change my shading style and break free from the set 16:9 format I have been presenting my comic panels in for the past few years. I noticed how much time I'm wasting on shading and rendering my panels, as beautiful as it may look in the end, for a comic it's an incredibly inefficent way to work and I want to improve on that, so that I may be able to finish comics more regularly in the future. "El's Alolan Adventures" is only one of many projects I'm working on, so if I want to continue it, I should learn to actually work like a comic artist instead of an illustrator.

So I was rereading @elbdot comics "El's Alolan Adventures" and well decided to draw El in the pokemon art style as a little fanart !

Welp, it's been two years since I drew all of @elbdot 's pokemon inspired outfits.... I think it's time for a redraw, don't you?

So, to celebrate the 6th year anniversary of El's amazing adventures throughout Alola...

LETS DO A REDRAW!!

March 2020 vs. December 2022

First up is Sweets! Still doing the cheerleader look, but with a bit more pizazz!! I also gave her a hairbow with the little wing parts!

Up next is Jenna!! I moved from a fancy ballgown to a more Swan Lake/Black Swan sort of vibe, with some inspiration from the latest Pokemon game with the crystals!

Next is Kira! An absolute sweetheart of a pokemon, I went with a more playful sunny vibe for her! Also added sunflowers for a nice touch!!

And of course, we can't forget her sister Leia!! She's got a sweet softer picnic vibe this time around!! Perfect outfit for spring!

Up next is our favorite motherly fish, Lumion! She's got a lovely sleek dress that's perfect for a flashy party!! It even glows!!

If you have a sword oc, it is very likely that I have started to study them and make theories or headcannons about them for fun. (Mainly because I literally have nothing better to do with my time than to think about swords.)

So today I am going to share a theory I had about the loveable dork dusk from @elbdot series "el's alolan adventures"

First of all I want to make it perfectly clear that THIS IS NOT CANNON ! its just a simple idea I had when studying the character for fun!

Second of all I just want to point out that I love this huge dork and he's become a regular staple in my life even if ive only been following for literally a month. ( and No I'm not even embarrassed to say I have that really old sailor moon pic as my lock screen because he makes me happy)

and lastly, (THE SINGLE PHOTO IS FOR REFERENCE PURPOSES ONLY AND IT BELONGS TO @elbdot!) it is also from the candy cane song!

Now, with that out of the way let's jump into the headcannon!

So this headcannon is based on a very small detail that is quite easy to glaze over apoun your first glance at dusk. After all he does look fairly normal for an aegislash aside from his blade being a different shape, having 2 points instead of 3. However we're not focusing on the blade, instead we will focus on his shoulders instead!

AND NO I DIDNT STUTTER BECAUSE WE'RE ACTUALLY GOING TO LOOK AT SWORD SHOULDERS! SO BUCKLE UP BUCKAROO WERE IN FOR A RIDE!

One day, as I gaze apoun the bean, I came to notice something that has been a common reoccurring habit that dusk has. Dusk keeps raising his cloth shoulders up into points!

The pointy cloth shoulders are most prominent here in this photo and I've come to notice that dusk mainly does this when he's either, excited, scared or nervous about something.

The height of his shoulders can vary depending on mood too! If dusk is nervous or excited, they will be higher than normal as opposed to him being angry or scared.

Now, we could definitely say it's part of elbdots artstyle, But I believe there may be a more interesting reason behind why he does this 👀

So for those of you that have known or been following elbdots page for a while you will know that dusk has a gifted jacket that he used to wear in the comics or in some other separate art pieces.

Well, I got to thinking about this and noticed that jackets have shoulders and dusk does not put the jacket over his pointy metal shoulders. So if he doesn't put them over the metal shoulders how does he keep it on?

I have an answer for that!

I imagine when dusk was first gifted his jacket by EL, he didn't know how to properly wear it or keep it on at first. This would lead to dusk learning how to wear human clothes so he could wear the jacket propery. Eventually it would lead to him simply positioning his shoulders outwards so that his jacket wouldn't slip off his arms.

So... What if dusk had just been wearing the jacket for so long, that it just became a regular habit over time even when he wasnt wearing it? he doesn't seem to realize that he's even doing it either.

So in conclusion, dusks pointy shoulders may be a simple habit from wearing his jacket! However... I honestly wonder if dusk has ever tried to wear any other types of human clothes besides his jacket, sunglasses and that one sweater. If he has I wonder how he managed to wear them?

As I draw for a living, I can’t even remember the last time I sat down and just drew aimlessly, not knowing what the end result will be. It must have been 2 years!

So, I sat down, started to draw. Guzma appeared. He was taking his shirt off. Then, The Road to Eldorado scene popped into my mind with @elbdot‘s adorable El and here we are.

The fact that I'm going to be in @elbdot 's special anniversary comic dub of El's Alolan Adventures (psst, find the details over on @kitblackthornva ) has had me head over heels with Alola all over again, even as I've been working on fleshing out the story for my Sword protagonist, and a Professor OC. So as a little Halloween treat for myself instead of drawing something spooky I decided to draw my Ultra Sun MC Flare, in her brand shiny new updated color palette, with Gladion when they're in their late teens.

I headcanon Gladion at roughly 14 in the games, where as Flare is 15 at that time. Here they're 18 and 19 respectively. Flare is still reigning champ of the Alola League and Gladion is running the Aether Foundation as President. They're both very busy so any time they get a chance to hang out is precious to them.

(If you're wondering, I stick with Hau being 11 during the game's timeline and headcanon Lillie as 12, making them roughly 15 and 16 respectively at the time this picture would take place)

I'd also like to take a moment and just give @shima-draws a shout out because when I think of pokemon her art instantly springs to mind, it's honestly goals and everyone should definitely check it out. (And maybe her RG Project hack too if you like RedxGreen 👀)

Hello, Jon! I’m doing well in my Fish and Nolife course, though I constantly have assignments due, so I’m stressed and never have break time, but I’m doing the best I can..I am going home this weekend as it’s a long weekend here in Canada as Monday is Family Day! I’m not sure if I’d even get a real break from it though-I hope you are well! :)

As for my Alolan Adventure, I made it to Vast Poni Canyon and still in there because I want a Kommo-o on my team, so I had to go and catch Jangmo-o to breed for a baby~ And now I’m just training her so she’s around the same level as my team! Basically, I’m in the area before the Trial. Also I am loving the new Lillie!

AND- oh my god- I saw fanart of Anabel from the Hoenn Battle Frontier.. so I looked it up and spoiled myself ffs BUT I am actually so upset that she has long hair now like are you kidding me?? My sister and I loved, LOVED, the episode of Advanced Generations she was in when she refused to change from wet clothes in front of the gang, and Ash was like, “Is it because May’s here?” and she was like “eh oh el no im a girl” L I K E that was literally one of my favourite scenes in the show, and I wasn’t even androgynous then, but that representation though- like, why did they change the length of her hair and gave her a feminine appearance bye she was perfectly fine. I wonder if its because of Ilima’s androgynous apperence, and didn’t want “too much confusion” or something dumb like that. I do like that they put her in a suit though like dayum gurl I don’t even have to say anything either ‘cause you have empathic psychic abilities ayye
