Scott's magical eye looks fine from a few feet away, but if you were to ever get close enough, you'd see the scarring beneath the gold, swollen and puffy in veins spreading our from the socket. He never complains of it hurting, but when it rains, it holds half-closed in a wince.

Joel's entrance to the world below left lasting scars, but they're only visible if he lets them show--only Sausage and Hermes have truly seen them. When his wings aren't out, there are two slits below his shoulder blades, gold trimmed; he has a lichtenburg scar across his chest and back; his hands are charred and blistered.

Pixl's scars are slightly mundane, but plentiful. His palms and fingers are calloused, skin tanned and often burned to a crisp from the hours he spends in the sun. His dedication to his work leaves his arms checkered with little cuts and sores, and he often shows up sporting a bruise from losing a fight with the mobs in the caves--he's a historian, not a soldier--but he finds the marks to be a part of life, neither ashamed nor proud. Now, they're hardly visible anyway; his whole translucent-undead-ghost thing is enough of a scar itself.

fWhip has unusual pockmarks deep along his shoulders where dripstone has fallen on him, and on his feet and shins where he's misstepped (a much rarer occasion, now that he's older, but it still happens sometimes), as well as almost splashes of burns across his face, chest and hands from several...mishaps, with explosives.

Gem is virtually scarless to those who visit Dawn. But despite her royal status, she isn't afraid to get her hands dirty. She's earned cross-hatched lines from zombie claws, arrowhead indents in her arms, and mysteriously, a few pockmarks along her shins and feet, as though she's tripped over dripstone many a time in her childhood.

Katherine, though, wears her scars with pride when she's out hunting--she earned them, through training and fighting. No monster is safe, and they're aware the minute they see the deep gouges along the muscles defined in her upper arms, and the easy way she holds her greataxe like it's nothing is as strong of a threat as any.

Lizzie is the opposite. No one gets close enough to see her scars, let alone the mask she's wearing on her face--so used to masquerading as human, whatever hurts she harbors are as hidden as can be. Present the facade and don't be found out. Nothing can raise questions.

Sausage has hooked slashes across his chest and hips, arrow marks on his shoulders and back, and many more--every three inches is a mark on his skin. It comes with being a protector. He's okay with it, throwing himself in front of the ones in need as a shield and a fighter. The scars are honorable, to him. He's earned them. In more ways than one.

Joey has far too many arrow wounds. Skeletons seem to personally hate him, and he knows well why. There are longer slashes across his back from his lower days, thin like a whip mark and irregularly healed like they were never bandaged, left open to the salty air, and his face is burnt and freckled from weeks below the sun, with a handful of cuts on his lip and cheek.

Jimmy's got scars, sure. A handful of burns, some thicker cuts from monsters raiding the Mesa, it's all normal, comes with the territory. Perhaps somewhere on his shoulders is a two-sided hole-shaped indent, in one side and out the back, eerily reminiscent of a gunshot wound. And maybe every time Joel looks him in the eye, his joints all ache like they're made of plastic. But he can work through it. He's the Sheriff, after all.

Shubble's lost track of where her scars should be. She remembers tripping and spilling a mug of tea, and stepping on the ceramic shards; intuitively she knows there should be a mark on her foot where she stitched and healed the wound. She knows it's there, but she can't see her skin below the sculk anymore.

Hey anyone kinda think that Pix’s new statue looks a bit like empires s1 Pearl? The whole wings and light theme with the sword? The theme of nobility but also mortality and death? Magically preserved over many years? I mean Pearl’s a god now and the story of her Ascension and how she’s seen would have changed over time....

-first started dying her hair all different colors and even had orange for a while before just letting it stay white

-at first she thought she had a crush on joey but nope she just really wanted to be friends (100% not me)

-every so while, her grandmother has to replace tortoise with a frog that looks exactly the same and she never knows (this was inspired by shelby’s qna and how she accidentally killed tortoise then replaced him)

-she loves reading so much that she would just stay up reading

-as a kid, she was bullied up into witch high school where she basically just beat them up and nobody bothered her since

There are tree houses in the Cod Empire.

It just makes sense. You have houses built on stilts over the water, with walkways between them (and water access for the aquatic citizens) and you have some houses built in the trees themselves.

S1 Shrub headcanons:

Since gnomes usually live under giant mushrooms they don't get a lot of sun (since the mushrooms are giant and also mushrooms need a dark-ish humid environment to grow in) so they would usually have a lot of lanterns and fireplaces in their villages, so Shrub like to decorate her house with a lot of lanterns, candles and other light sources

Shrub would have probably found bright daylight a bit jarring when first arriving in the land of Empires but slowly began to get used to it and even find it comforting. She's very much a morning person and tries to spend as much time in the sun :]

Empires’ Headcanons! (I deisided this will chronicalized all my headcanons) ;P

- The Ocean Queen was adopted by Mezalean nobility, and was the primary architect of the Ocean Empire, as she felt drawn to the Ocean and Seas..

- The Codfather was founded by the Cod Council, and was raised by them..

- Lady Katherine is originally from a highly respected family that lived in Gilded Helianthia..

- The part of Gilded Helianthia where Pearl rule was a city-state..

- Count fWhip and Wizard Gem are dragon-hybrids..

- Lord Sausage and Pearl are cousins..

- Katherine and Jimmy are cousins, due to their surnames being implied to be hyphenated, Elizabeth-”Gaming” and Solidarity-”Gaming”..

- Sausage and Shelby are haft-siblings, I just like their dynamic..

- Shelby and Pirate Joe are cousins as well..

- “Sausage” is his surname, as his character full name is “Mythical J. Sausage”.. (Basically he prefer to be called by his surname rather then his first name..)

- On the topic of surname, in goblins culture, they do not have legal surname, and are often differentiated by their occupation or status..

- Pearl is asexual aromantic..

- Jimmy is asexual..

- Sausage is aromantic, and Katherine is on the aromantic spectrum..

- Some of the gods Joel forgot about are Aeor, and Exor, as well as the Ocean Queen and the Codfather.. and obviously Pearl, who he remembers as “Peril”..

- Joel and Pearl are both mortals who ascended to godhood..

- The Copper King, Pixl was also a god, but never started out as a mortal, and his often seen as the God of Life and Resurrection, a foil to Pearl if you will.. (This can serve symbolism like, Pearl who lived in a fertile forest is the Goddess of Death, while Pixl living in a dry dessert is the God of Life, something something yin and yang..)

- The religion that worship Pearl is the main religion of the Empires’ World.. However she is seen differently depending on the Empire or Kingdom you in.. Offen seen as the Goddess of Harvest, Death and War or Combat..

- The Ocean Queen is seen as the Goddess of the Sea, while the Codfather is considered God of Swamps, Rivers and Streams, though they’re are often seen as a pair..

- Joel is seen as a God of Thunder, Lightning and Hurricanes or the God of Storytelling.. (Lore basically..)

- Gods are normally over 20ft with Joel being the only exception, as Queen Lizzie and the Codfather doesn't count, being demigods, and even being taller then other demigods, being sea creatures as well..

- When the other gods was still around they would shapeshift to Joel’s height or shorter to make him feel better, this combine with his canon bad memory, is why he have a false imagine of being average height, or taller then average..

- Hermes came to life with the mind and body of a 8-9 year old child..

- Hermes is semi-mute..

- Hermes started off as a shulker so they can shoot shulker bullets..

- The Empire Pixl is restoring was first constructed after the rapture, mainly by people of Gilded Helianthia and Mythland, but serve as a safe place for any citizen who Empire was destroyed..

- Lady Katherine help construct and was the first queen, of GlimmerGrove..

- Only non-human that are aloud in GlimmerGrove are fairies and anthropomorphic animals, even tho, the people are wary of them. Magic Users have take an oath, and promise not to use magic in the confined of the Kingdom, as they believe a witch or wizard might had somehing to do with the Queen having a “curse” baby..

- Lizzie is very keen on learning, and is very knowledgeable on history, mainly of the Ocean Empire, Codlands, and Lost Empire, being the citizen mainly descended from their..

so you know how in Minecraft you can find diamonds super easily in the swamp due to the clay spots? yeah, the cod empire actually has like a shit-ton of them but they don't have the same value there as they do here. like its actually pretty common to see someone there with jewelry that has diamonds in it! and like the other rulers think that jimmy is like flexing on them when he says that diamonds aren't their highest value gem lol

jimmy would complain about being poor because he doesn’t have many emeralds but in any other empire he would be filthy stinkin rich

Katherine: So i was talking to Gem about Princess Stuff, which actually means we were talking about how wrong the word princess feels for us. Crazy that its a universal thing for princesses to hate being called princesses!

Katherine: And then we started talking about the pressure to be ladylike and how much we want to just drop all the pretentious outfits and just run away to be heroes and farmers

Katherine: Gem was talking about this one time Scott called her a hot guy and how much she liked it, personally I’m not a big fan of “hot” but being called a guy sounds cool!

!!spoilers for shubbles finale (sorta?)!!

Watched the vod for shubbles empires finale lore stream and I refuse to believe tortoise is dead 10 years later.

So HC that he is a human cursed to be a frog but is just chill w/ it. He has a human lifespan in a toad body.

To add on to that I like to think shelbys grandma cursed him to be a frog like, years ago or smthn but he's not mad anymore they're just besties <3 it's also why he tells her grandma everything, it's just the weekly talk over tea or somethin. Or maybe she just sees through his eyes idk.

Either way he totally mentions her huge crush on katherine and laments how much of a disaster she is.

ALSO it's mentioned how Shelby stays in the evermore for a year after empires ends so I like to think the idea of tortoise accidentally becoming human still happens In that year.

Maybe I'll draw this all later,,, my empires brainrot does not seem to be leaving anytime soon

Shubble went to Crystal Cliffs Academy of Wizardry

Just think of it, an academy in one of the few empires that did not burn to the ground.

Maybe after Gem left the Academy, it lost interest in helping everyone with witchcraft and only keeps The Academy open for two main reasons. Number one is in memory of the great headmistress herself. Number two is that Gandalf is growing tired of running the place for so long that he needs a truly great witch to take over The Crystal Cliffs.

Is this me thinking about lore too much? Probably. Is it still fun to think about? Of Course!

Meet one of my empires oc's Apollo! He's Hermes twin and he is an teen because this takes place after empires and I headcannon Hermes is a teen not an adult. He used to travel with Hermes until they found and stayed In the server the hermit kids stay at. Please note that these 2 servers don't run on the same time so the timeskip doesn't mean much in there server. I named him Apollo after the sun god because he's the god of music. Both him and Hermes can communicate with pretty much anything and control any kind of signal.
