Discover Self-Drive Car Rentals in Trivandrum @ the Lowest Price
Exploring Trivandrum on your own terms just got easier with affordable self drive car rentals in trivandrum @lowest price at the lowest prices. Whether you're visiting the city for leisure, business, or adventure, renting a self-drive car gives you the freedom and flexibility to explore at your own pace, without burning a hole in your pocket. In this blog, we’ll guide you on how to find the best budget-friendly self-drive car rentals in Trivandrum and make the most out of your trip!
Why Opt for Self-Drive Car Rentals in Trivandrum?
1. Cost-Effective Travel
Self-drive car rentals are a pocket-friendly way to navigate through Trivandrum, especially for longer trips or extended stays. Unlike taxis, which can accumulate high costs, renting a car allows you to explore the city for a set daily or weekly rate. You can save money, especially when you opt for cars that offer great mileage and efficient fuel consumption.
2. Complete Flexibility
With self-drive rentals, you’re in control of your schedule. There’s no need to adhere to the strict timings of public transport or depend on a driver. This allows you to explore hidden gems in Trivandrum, like scenic coastal drives, serene backwaters, or historical landmarks, at your own pace.
3. Variety of Affordable Options
Trivandrum offers a variety of cars to suit different budgets. Whether you need a small compact car for city driving or a fuel-efficient sedan for longer drives, there’s a budget-friendly vehicle for everyone. By choosing the right vehicle, you can further cut down on rental and fuel costs, making your trip more affordable.
How to Find Self-Drive Car Rentals in Trivandrum at the Lowest Price
1. Compare Rental Rates
One of the best ways to ensure you’re getting the lowest price is to compare rates across different rental companies. Many rental agencies offer competitive rates, and by checking multiple options, you can find the best deal. Some companies may offer discounts for longer rentals, or during off-peak seasons, so it’s worth exploring all the possibilities.
2. Choose the Right Car Type
Selecting the right type of vehicle can have a big impact on your overall cost. For instance, opting for a compact or hatchback car will usually cost you less than renting an SUV. If your main priority is affordability and fuel efficiency, a smaller car will not only reduce the rental fee but also help you save on fuel costs.
3. Look for Promotional Offers
Many car rental companies offer seasonal promotions, discounts, or referral bonuses that can help reduce your overall costs. Check if any special offers are available at the time of booking, such as weekend deals, festive discounts, or early-bird bookings that give you the best value for money.
4. Avoid Unnecessary Add-ons
While some car rental services offer tempting add-ons like GPS systems, child seats, or insurance, it’s essential to evaluate whether you really need these extras. In many cases, using your smartphone for navigation or bringing your own travel gear can help cut down the total cost of the rental.
5. Opt for Long-Term Rentals
If you’re planning to stay in Trivandrum for an extended period, long-term rentals often come with lower daily rates. Some rental companies offer special deals for weekly or monthly rentals, which are perfect for tourists or business travelers staying for longer durations.
Where to Visit with Your Budget Self-Drive Car

2. Padmanabhaswamy Temple

5. Agasthyakoodam
A UNESCO World Heritage site and a part of the Western Ghats, Agasthyakoodam is a popular destination for trekking and wildlife enthusiasts. It's about 60 kilometers from Trivandrum, and the scenic drive through lush forests and rolling hills is a journey worth taking.
Benefits of Choosing Budget-Friendly Car Rentals

The Importance of Employee Transportation Services
Employee transportation services in Kerala play a crucial role in the daily operations of numerous organizations. With the state’s unique geography, characterized by its backwaters, hills, and a mix of urban and rural areas, commuting can be challenging. Here’s why these services are vital:
Improved Punctuality and Productivity: Ensuring that employees arrive on time and ready to work is essential for maintaining productivity. Reliable transportation services minimize delays caused by traffic, public transport inefficiencies, or geographical hurdles.
Enhanced Employee Satisfaction: Stress-free commuting significantly contributes to overall job satisfaction. When employees don’t have to worry about the complexities of daily travel, they can focus better on their tasks, leading to higher morale and reduced turnover rates.
Safety and Comfort: Employee transportation services prioritize safety, providing secure and comfortable travel options. This is especially important for female employees or those working late shifts, ensuring their well-being during commutes.
Key Features of Effective Transportation Services
Several factors contribute to the effectiveness of employee transportation services. In Kerala, where road conditions and traffic patterns can vary widely, these features are particularly critical:
Route Optimization: Using advanced GPS and route optimization technologies, transportation services can plan the most efficient routes, reducing travel time and fuel consumption. This is crucial in Kerala’s diverse topography.
Real-Time Tracking and Updates: Real-time tracking systems allow employees and employers to monitor the location of transport vehicles. This transparency helps in managing time better and addressing any unforeseen delays promptly.
Eco-Friendly Options: With Kerala’s commitment to sustainability, incorporating eco-friendly vehicles like electric buses or carpooling initiatives aligns with the state’s green initiatives, reducing the carbon footprint.
Customized Solutions: Tailoring transportation solutions to fit the specific needs of a company, such as flexible timings or accommodating different shifts, ensures that all employees can benefit from the service.
Benefits for Employers and Employees
For Employers:
Cost Efficiency: Investing in employee transportation can reduce costs associated with tardiness, absenteeism, and high employee turnover.
Attracting Talent: Offering transportation services can be a significant perk, attracting skilled professionals who might otherwise be deterred by challenging commutes.
Enhanced Reputation: Companies that prioritize employee welfare, including transportation, build a positive reputation, fostering loyalty and a better public image.
For Employees:
Reduced Commute Stress: A dedicated transport service eliminates the hassles of navigating traffic or relying on inconsistent public transport.
Time Management: Employees can better manage their time, often utilizing commute times for rest or productive activities.
Work-Life Balance: Efficient transportation options help maintain a healthy work-life balance, essential for overall well-being.
The Future of Employee Transportation in Kerala
As Kerala continues to develop its infrastructure and urban planning, the future of employee transportation services looks promising. With advancements in technology and a growing emphasis on sustainability, several trends are likely to shape the future:
Integration with Public Transport: Seamless integration between private employee transport services and public transport systems can enhance overall connectivity and efficiency.
Smart Transportation Solutions: The adoption of AI and IoT in transportation management can lead to smarter, more adaptive systems that respond to real-time conditions and employee needs.
Sustainability Initiatives: Increasing the use of electric vehicles and promoting carpooling can further reduce the environmental impact, aligning with Kerala’s eco-friendly vision.
Conclusion
Employee transportation services in Kerala are not just a convenience but a necessity in the modern corporate landscape. They enhance productivity, ensure safety, and contribute significantly to employee satisfaction. As technology evolves and sustainability becomes paramount, these services will continue to transform, offering smarter, greener, and more efficient solutions for the workforce. Building Better: India’s Quest for Sustainable Infrastructure Solutions
By: Mrs. Tarini Bharadwaj Museum Professional and Documentation-expert
India stands at a crossroads of development, balancing the imperatives of economic growth with the urgent need to preserve its environment and ensure social equity. As the world’s second-most populous country, India’s infrastructure needs are vast and varied. However, traditional approaches to development have often come at a significant cost to the environment and human well-being. In response to these challenges, the concept of sustainable infrastructure has emerged as a guiding principle for India’s future development endeavors.
Sustainable Infrastructure: A Paradigm Shift
Sustainable infrastructure represents a departure from conventional development models by integrating environmental, social, and economic considerations into infrastructure planning and implementation. At its core, sustainable infrastructure seeks to meet the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs. This holistic approach recognizes the interconnectedness of human societies and the natural world, aiming to minimize environmental impact, enhance social inclusivity, and promote economic resilience.
Initiatives Promoting Sustainable Infrastructure:
Recognizing the need for a paradigm shift, the Indian government has launched several initiatives aimed at promoting sustainable infrastructure development. The Smart Cities Mission, launched in 2015, seeks to transform urban areas into sustainable and citizen-friendly cities through investments in infrastructure and technology. Under this mission, cities are encouraged to adopt innovative solutions for transportation, energy, water, and waste management, with a focus on sustainability and inclusivity.
Another key initiative is the Atal Mission for Rejuvenation and Urban Transformation (AMRUT), which aims to improve basic infrastructure in urban areas, including water supply, sewerage, and solid waste management. By prioritizing investments in sustainable infrastructure, AMRUT seeks to enhance the quality of life for urban residents while conserving natural resources and reducing pollution.
Case Studies of Sustainable Infrastructure Projects
Several sustainable infrastructure projects in India serve as shining examples of what is possible when sustainability principles are integrated into development planning. One such project is the Delhi Metro, which has revolutionized public transportation in the national capital region while significantly reducing air pollution and greenhouse gas emissions. With its use of energy-efficient trains and stations, the Delhi Metro sets a high standard for sustainable urban transportation systems.
Another noteworthy example is the Suzlon One Earth campus in Pune, Maharashtra, which showcases the potential of green building design in reducing energy consumption and carbon emissions. Designed to minimize environmental impact and maximize employee well-being, the campus features energy-efficient buildings, rooftop solar panels, rainwater harvesting systems, and green spaces.
Kochi International Airport:
Kochi International Airport in Kerala, India, is the world’s first fully solar-powered airport. With over 46,000 solar panels covering an area of 45 acres, the airport generates more than 60,000 units of electricity per day, meeting its entire energy requirements from solar power. This initiative not only reduces the airport’s carbon footprint but also sets an example for other airports globally to adopt renewable energy solutions.
Gujarat International Finance Tec-City (GIFT City)
GIFT City, located in Gandhinagar, Gujarat, is India’s first operational smart city and international financial services center. Designed as a sustainable and eco-friendly city, GIFT City incorporates green building practices, efficient energy management systems, and integrated waste management solutions. The city aims to become a global hub for finance and technology while minimizing its environmental impact.
Nagpur Metro Rail
The Nagpur Metro Rail project in Maharashtra is India’s first metro rail project to receive the ‘Platinum’ rating for sustainability from the Indian Green Building Council (IGBC). The metro stations and depots are equipped with energy-efficient lighting, rainwater harvesting systems, and solar power generation facilities. The project also promotes the use of public transportation, reducing carbon emissions and traffic congestion in the city.
Sabarmati Riverfront Development
The Sabarmati Riverfront Development project in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, aims to revitalize the Sabarmati riverfront while promoting environmental sustainability and social inclusivity. The project includes riverfront promenades, gardens, recreational spaces, and integrated flood management infrastructure. By restoring the ecological balance of the river and creating public amenities, the project enhances the quality of life for residents while preserving natural resources.
Pune Bus Rapid Transit System (BRTS)
The Pune BRTS is a sustainable urban transportation system that provides fast, reliable, and eco-friendly bus services to commuters in Pune, Maharashtra. The BRTS features dedicated bus lanes, modern bus stations, and intelligent transportation systems to improve efficiency and reduce congestion. By encouraging the use of public transportation, the project helps reduce air pollution and carbon emissions in the city.
These real-time examples demonstrate India’s commitment to sustainable infrastructure development and environmental stewardship. By integrating green technologies, innovative design practices, and community engagement, these projects contribute to India’s transition towards a more sustainable and resilient future.
Sustainable Infrastructure in Renewable Energy
India has made significant strides in promoting renewable energy as part of its sustainable infrastructure efforts. The country had set ambitious targets for renewable energy deployment, including 175 gigawatts (GW) of installed renewable energy capacity by 2022, with a further target of 450 GW by 2030. Renewable energy sources such as solar, wind, and hydroelectric power offer immense potential for meeting India’s growing energy needs while reducing its reliance on fossil fuels and mitigating climate change.
The Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) plays a crucial role in facilitating the development of solar energy projects across the country through competitive bidding processes and power purchase agreements. The Jawaharlal Nehru National Solar Mission, launched in 2010, aims to promote the development of solar energy in India through various incentives and subsidies.
Despite the progress made in promoting sustainable infrastructure, significant challenges remain. Financing sustainable infrastructure projects can be a major hurdle, especially for cash-strapped municipalities and small businesses. Additionally, outdated regulations and bureaucratic red tape often hinder the implementation of innovative solutions.
However, these challenges also present opportunities for innovation and collaboration. The rise of impact investing and green finance offers new avenues for financing sustainable infrastructure projects, while public-private partnerships can help leverage resources and expertise from both sectors. By fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration, India can overcome the barriers to sustainable infrastructure development and unlock new opportunities for economic growth and environmental stewardship.
The Future of Sustainable Infrastructure in India
As India continues on its path of development, the importance of sustainable infrastructure will only grow. Emerging technologies such as renewable energy, electric vehicles, and smart grid systems hold great promise for transforming India’s infrastructure landscape and reducing its environmental footprint. Moreover, the COVID-19 pandemic has underscored the need for resilient infrastructure that can withstand future shocks and crises.
To realize the full potential of sustainable infrastructure, concerted efforts are needed from all stakeholders, including government, businesses, civil society, and academia. By working together towards a common goal of sustainability, India can build a brighter and greener future for generations to come.
In conclusion, sustainable infrastructure is not just a buzzword; it is a fundamental principle that must guide India’s development journey in the 21st century and beyond. By prioritizing sustainability in infrastructure planning and implementation, India can achieve its development goals while safeguarding the planet for future generations.

Bharat Bandh updates | Delhi Police tightens security at border points
Bharat Bandh updates | Delhi Police tightens security at border points
Samyukta Kisan Morcha, the umbrella body of over 40 farm unions spearheading the farmers’ agitation, has called for an all-India Bharat Bandh.  “As this historic struggle completes 10 months, SKM has called Monday [September 27] to be observed as Bharat Bandh against the anti-farmer Modi government,” the SKM had said in a statement. The bandh will be held from 6 a.m. to 4 p.m. during which all government and private offices, educational and other institutions, shops, industries and commercial establishments as well as public events and functions will be closed throughout the country, it said.
Here are the latest developments:
Madhya Pradesh | 4.10 pm
No major impact of Bharat Bandh in Madhya Pradesh
The Bharat Bandh had no major impact in Madhya Pradesh on Monday as day-to-day and commercial activities went on as usual.
Eyewitnesses said road traffic was normal in the state capital Bhopal and commercial hub Indore.
However, talking to PTI, Rashtriya Kisan Mazdoor Mahasangh national president Shivkumar Kakkaji claimed, “The bandh called by farmers against the three laws and for demanding guaranteed MSP for crops has been successful.” He further claimed that the outfit had given relaxation from the shutdown to Bhopal as most of its residents are (private and government sector) employees and not farmers, but the protest was successful in the farming community-dominated small towns of Nimar region, Shahdol, Umaria, Raisen and Silwani. Kakkaji said he was sitting in the “control room” in Bhopal and was getting reports that the shutdown call was “successful”, and added that no untoward incident was reported from anywhere.
Peaceful protests were also seen in districts like Vidisha and Satna. — PTI

He did not fight for freedom for a day when farmers have to sit on the streets and protest for a year to get their demands considered,” he said on the sidelines of an event to launch a tourism app for Delhi at the secretariat.

Convergence Energy Services Limited (CESL) has launched an electric two-wheeler programme in Kerala. The programme is custom-designed for employees of the Government of Kerala, and vehicles are made available by CESL through its relationship with vehicle manufacturers. All vehicles will benefit from the Central Government’s subsidy programme FAME II, which allows customers to access a significant subsidy that brings electric vehicles closer to the cost of their fossil fuel equivalents.  This programme is carried out in collaboration with the Energy Management Centre (EMC), Government of Kerala. Kerala is the first state in the CESL portfolio to move ahead and ordering two-wheelers. The launch of this Scheme, therefore, makes Kerala the first user of the digital marketplace – MyEV which will enable easy access to consumers for booking and buying electric two-wheelers. Special design features have enabled a virtual experience to come as close to being at a showroom – designed to reduce physical visits to retail outlets with the COVID pandemic still looming in the country. Interested consumers can visit www.MyEV.org.in or download Mobile App: MyEV via playstore on their handsets. The Government of Kerala has undertaken several initiatives to increase electric mobility penetration in the state. To reduce vehicular pollution, the state government had brought out an Electric Vehicle Policy, directing all departments to switch to electric vehicles instead of purchasing new fuel-based ones. Speaking about this association, Mahua Acharya, MD and CEO, CESL said, “I am glad that Kerala government is taking this initiative with CESL to increase EV penetration in the state. EMC has shown great leadership in developing and implementing this programme, and programmes such as these could become trendsetters for the adoption of green mobility across the country. We are working towards achieving the goals set by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and NITI Aayog for the induction of green modes of transportation in different categories in the next five years. With this level of demand witnessed from cities, fleet operators, and financing entities, it is clear that the market is ready for a complete transition to electric mobility.”  Interview: Mahua Acharya, MD & CEO, Convergence Energy Services Ltd. A four-day exhibition of the electric 2-wheelers will be organised by EMC & CESL at the Institution of Engineers in the state capital where the vehicles can be test-driven. Through this exhibition, CESL is supporting OEMs to set up their base in Kerala and also plan an ‘Experience Zone’ where users may wish to test ride vehicles, learn about the technology, and feel the EV experience.  Speaking at the inauguration, Minister for Electricity, K. Krishnankutty said, “The agreement with CESL is a big step towards ushering a new era of E- mobility in the state. Kerala has always been at the forefront of innovation and adapting to new technologies. Therefore, we feel that this step will help us to not only achieve reasonable success in e-mobility but also spread this to other sectors for adaption towards green transportation and energy transition. We are confident that the demand for electric two-wheelers will go much beyond the projected requirement as the people of the state have always been in the forefront of adaption to new ways of life.” Deployment of Electric Two-Wheelers (E2W) amongst state government officials is another important step through which the state government aims to generate a demand for 10,000 electric two-wheelers from government officials and state offices across Kerala.  Speaking on the occasion, MD of Energy Management Center, Shri Harikumar said “EMC signed an agreement with CESL on the occasion of World Environment Day on the 5th of June, and in less than three months despite the pandemic, we are here getting the first vehicles on the road. We have already aggregated significant demand and looking forward to OEMs creating more dealerships in the state so that mobility is not just in the big cities.” As the country leaps towards electric mobility and energy transition, such initiatives will help create awareness about the cost economics and benefits of owning electric two-wheelers, further bringing down the prices of E2Ws in the short and long term.  Read the full article

COVID-19 Impact on Food in Food and Beverages Industry | Data Bridge Market Research
Tumblr media
COVID-19 Impact on Food in Food and Beverages Industry
INTRODUCTION
The food and beverage industry includes restaurants, cafeterias, cafés, fast-food joints, pubs, delis, food manufacturing operations, catering businesses, food transportation services, and more. Work in this industry can range from transporting, packaging to preparing and serving food or beverages. In the food and beverage industry, every producer has experienced crises due to pandemic situations. The COVID-19 has mixed outcomes for food manufacturers in developing countries. The impact of COVID-19 on the food and beverage industry can be seen in the product portfolios offered by manufacturers in the food and beverage market.
IMPACT OF COVID-19 ON FOOD INDUSTRY
Food is a necessary part of life, providing us with the nutrients we need to survive; however, the pandemic has thrown the entire food system into disarray. Lack of adequate food, coupled with labor shortages, fragmented supply chains, and fear of health risks, could result in a lack of proper nutrition and food scarcity. As a result, the concerned authorities should take various preventative measures to mitigate the harmful effects on the food system.
Before the pandemic, Americans spent more money on dining out than they did on groceries. Consumers reassessed their behaviors, particularly their eating and buying habits, as the 2020 lockdowns brought this streak to a halt, posing new challenges for the food industry. Many people, for example, switched to fresher, healthier foods and reduced their consumption of processed meat. In the food industry, unprecedented demands have been imposed on retailers and suppliers. This results from extended lockdown in many regions and limitations on the movement of goods, causing out-of-home consumption to change in-home.
Manufacturers that use just-in-time inventory strategies have experienced stock shortages and have had to respond quickly. Other shifts in customer buying patterns have occurred in the last eight or nine months that usually take years to manifest. The adoption of online grocery shopping has accelerated, putting more pressure on the industry to reshape and handle distribution and manufacturing. Food producers have invested millions of dollars on personal protective equipment and other equipment to handle social distancing within factories, where they are also well-versed in handling production to strict hygiene and safety requirements. However, despite this investment, food factories worldwide have become hotspots for the virus, especially in sectors like meat, where employees work closely together.
Moreover, labor shortages and plant closures also hampered production at a variety of food manufacturers. Any of the improvements we saw in 2020 will only be temporary. On the other hand, some are here to stay and will have a major effect on food manufacturers in the coming years.
IMPACT OF COVID-19 ON FOOD SUPPLY CHAIN
Agricultural development, postharvest handling, packaging, distribution/retail/service, and consumption are the five stages of the food supply chain. In terms of food quality and protection, the food supply chain employs two processes. The first is focused on laws and regulations that use mandatory requirements that government agencies review. The second method is to focus on voluntary guidelines set by market laws or international organizations. Food employee health problems, personal hygiene, use of personal protective equipment such as helmets and gloves, sanitization of surfaces and working areas, safe handling/preparation/delivery of food, and maintaining social distance are all examples of safety measures to ensure the consistency of food flow in each point.
The supply chain affects not only manufacturers, distributors, and customers but also labor-intensive food processing plants. Many plants' production was decreased, stopped, or temporarily halted due to workers who were found to be COVID-19 positive.
COVID-19 has impacted the supply chain the most as due to the lockdown in the several countries the import and export from different nation become difficult and also the demand has reduced which has impacted the demand of the food products in the market. Several plant implementations have gone on hold, and also transportation of the food items from one nation to another is very difficult due to these situations.
STRATEGIC INITIATIVES DURING COVID-19
Food producers' unwillingness to discuss the changes that could arise over the next few years maybe because they would be the ones most affected. Because of the potential for job losses, there might be some reluctance to talk publicly.
Following the COVID-19, food producers are required to prioritize health and safety as well as worker well-being. Factories, where social distancing and other protective measures are more difficult to enforce, have become hotbeds for the virus, so factories are looking at various options to ensure worker safety while keeping production moving.
The pandemic has forced all food manufacturers to reassess and introduce new processes to ensure that they remain operational while ensuring the health and safety of their workers. Various manufacturers have also recently introduced data management platforms that help track and test each employer's health and safety.
For Instance:-
·         Kerala, one of the first states in India to be affected by the COVID-19 outbreak, set a precedent for the rest of the world. Kerala's Chief Minister acted quickly to reduce the risk of hunger and malnutrition among the state's poorest residents
·         The government has declared a one-month free ration for all, which means that low-income families will receive 35 kilograms of rice
·         Kerala's government has gone above and beyond by distributing food kits containing 16 items specified in the below table worth INR 1000 to every household, regardless of income level, beginning on 8th April 2020
CONCLUSION
Today the spread of the novel coronavirus has triggered significant market damage across the world. Most businesses have stopped immediately, and the effect of the pandemic on food manufacture is not yet clear. The towns are closed down, and social distancing has become a modern norm.
The government, along with the private sector, can play a vital role in reviving the sector. The government is attending to the large financing needs arising from COVID-19; the private sector can take care of large investments and expertise required for the power sector in developing countries. Apart from this, strong engagement with governments and local stakeholders will continue to contribute significantly to the development of the industry.
Several manufactures closed the factory due to heavy losses. Companies are taking strategic action to increase the food demand in the market and increase their revenues. The government also introduces many polices and initiatives that would help manufacturers maintain stable growth in current dynamic situations.
