What colors are the tiny mers?

I could even remember all, I them so. I’m just gonna repost all of them here, because these were their colors from a while ago <\3333

BUT YEAHHHHH they always start out with black, and then once they get old enough, basically 5, they gain their second color. A third color is gained when they marry, and then a fourth is gold. Very rare, and really only the Madrigals can gain it; they have to do some kind of selfless act. It’s not pictured here, but alone with Alma, Pedro and Bruno also have gold.

I was thinking about an AU where Isabela never confessed that she didn't want to marry Mariano.

Confess to Mirabel, that is. She admitted it to Dolores at some point.

Dolores, in turn, told her that actually she wanted to marry Mariano.

And instead of doing the natural thing and telling their parents, because the Madrigal family is awful at communicating, they decided to pull a switch. At Isabela's wedding, it would actually be Dolores under the veil, and she wouldn't reveal herself until it was too late. They'd be married, and no matter the reaction of the family, they couldn't do that.

Except, of course, that the ceremony would be invalid, because Dolores would be married under the name Isabela Madrigal.

Unless they got the priest in on it. And he agreed to go along with it. And not tell their family.

A friend of mine suggested that they have Antonio's animals cause a distraction at all the points Isabela's name would be said in the ceremony. They wouldn't tell him what was going on - just "Hey, don't you want your jaguar to be with you when your cousin gets married?" And then said jaguar entering right at the moment Padre Flores says Isabela's name causes a bit of an uproar, so no one hears that he actually said Dolores' name instead.

And then after the wedding everyone realizes what happened.

Meanwhile, poor Mariano is stuck on the middle and has no clue what's going on.

Dolores’s personality matches Eliza and Isabela’s Angelica’s, but Angelica and Dolores’s story arcs are similar.

Outfits, outfits, outfits (*▪︎*))

Mirabel owns a small clothing shop in Mond, she used to be part of the Adventurers Guild (ignore the fact I spelt it wrong btw) full time but does odd jobs every so often now. Her 'old' outfit was meant to be her adult outfit and the new one was meant to be her teen years but I liked the teen outfit better and decided to switch them.

She's actually friends with Chiori, they met in Inazuma and Chiori helped upgrade her outfit from the AG uniform (a few months after gaining her vision too). They write to each other and often use Kirara to send other things like fashion samples and trades.

Mirabel's outfit is meant to look like a butterfly wings.

Her shop isn't popular to non-locals but everyone in Mond knows to head to her place if you want something fixed or made.

She is also younger than Diluc, Jean's, and Keaya's ages but older than Bennett, Razor, Fischl.

Geee, I've seen people double their follower count before the DTIYS deadline, but this is a new level. ❤️

I'm not sure why I procrastinated this so long since I wanted to draw it for a long time, but at the last moment I'm finally presenting it.

This piece was great to draw and challenging as well. The background was a mess to get right, even though the lighting was what tied it all together.

It also happened to be more yellow than orange, but meh. Good enough 😅

Technology from 1870-1899 (For Encanto fic writers)

So, A mutual of mine @miracles-and-butterfliess pointed out that everyone (including me) tends to forget that Encanto was literally made when the triplets were born. Which is literally 1900 or 1901. Regardless, it was the very beginning of the 19th century so let me tell you about the technology/things they would/wouldn’t have. (And please keep in mind that most of these may or may not have been imported into Colombia yet.) 

1870 - 1879

1872—A.M. Ward creates the first mail-order catalog. NO

1873—Joseph Glidden invented barbed wire. NO

1876—Alexander Graham Bell patents the telephone. NO

1876—Nicolaus August Otto invents the first practical four-stroke internal combustion engine. NO

1876—Melville Bissell patents the carpet sweeper. NO?

1878—Thomas Edison invents the cylinder phonograph (known then as the tin foil phonograph). MAYBE

1895—Brothers Auguste and Louis Lumière invent a portable motion-picture camera that doubles as a film-processing unit and projector. The invention is called the Cinematographe and using it, the Lumières project the motion picture for an audience. NO?

1899—J.S. Thurman patents the motor-driven vacuum cleaner. NO (if you're running from being killed, the last thing you're going to bring is a vacuum cleaner)

Alright, I don't want to brag about anything, but... I really enjoy all the content about the Cocooned AU and few days ago, while re-reading that... I thought of something :

What if, instead of pulling just grandkids... Casita trapped ALL of the Madrigals in their rooms... before falling apart and the family disappearing.

The people, obviously, search over the area for months, but find nothing. Félix and Augustín's families are devastated. Not only had the magical family disappearanced... but also had their sons, daugthers-in-law, grandkids and so on. Félix's family decides to stay low for awhile, while Augustín's completely leaves Encanto, as staying gives them too much pain...

Until, months later, a new little boy is born. To Félix's family, many say he looks like his deceased/disappeared relative and, as if in a joke, they decide to name him after him...

All would go back to normal, unless something else happens... when somebody says there's a couple by a river outside the mountain. A man and woman, in late stages of pregnancy. The villagers, seeing the couple has so threat and in quite vulnerable condition, take them in, until, exactly on birthday of long gone Julieta, Pepa and Bruno, the woman gives birth... to healthy tiny triplets. The fact the couple's names are Alma and Pedro don't help any bit.

While the new parents are happy about their children and that they were born in good condition... the Encanto starts to wonder, who are these people and, some very hopeful, if the Madrigals' magic was able to save them and sent them back, before everything went down the hill. And it all seals when the small house, the two had built on a hill near edge of the small town, starts to glow and comes to life.

And that's when the villagers know. La familia Madrigal is back. But would they tell Pedro and Alma about past life... or, in fear of causing other catastrophe/fall incident, they stay quiet and let the family live their lives, in the dark of their past

NO, BUT THIS IDEA...is so good omg. You know I have thought about that too if all the Madrigals caught a body in that au. Lil' Félix, I'm crying. They probably is was a nice tribute to the real Félix and a sort of morbid joke but like. When Alma and Pedro came back and then Alma had TRIPLETS?? (Who I assume were named Julieta, Pepa, and Bruno lmao). And then their house came to life and has magic. Like they're definitely back.

Also?? Does Agustín’s family come back?? I mean I assume it’s a similar situation to Félix. And I assume if they can leave the Encanto, then news might have spread, and anyone who previously had lived there would recognize the meaning behind “The Madrigals are back”. So would they return?? I mean I assume they would 😭

And I’m not sure, maybe they would stay quiet?? I think it would’ve been pieced together what caused the fall of Casita, at least some, or maybe it’s just paranoia that it’ll happen again, but maybe the villagers just. Don’t say anything about it.

EITHER WAY. I’D LOVE TO SEE MORE OF THIS IF YOU HAVE ANY BUT NO PRESSURE 💪💪

Despite the drama of years ago, Isabela and Dolores are very close.

Isa is still hesitant to talk about Mirabel for objecting at her wedding with Mariano since it was Alma's wish, but deep down she is very grateful that she did (Isabela was the favorite granddaughter for possessing a powerful gift; while no matter how hard Dolores tried to look perfect or meet her standards, it was never enough for her grandmother).

After some events, Mariano and Dolores got to know each other better, and they fell in love.
