you know what makes enid such a lovable character? she’s deceptively complex, and the specifics make her so fucking precious. LET ME PROVE MY THESIS.
when enid is first introduced in the show, we might be inclined to think that she’s merely a shallow representation of the polar opposite of wednesday—colorful, peppy, social, loud. but she’s so much more than just wednesday’s antithesis. and you see that from their very first interaction.
enid, clearly excited and optimistic about meeting her new roommate, rushes up to greet her with a huge smile and outstretched arms (already, a sign of her kindness). but the very second she realizes wednesday doesn’t want to reciprocate, she holds off. this might not seem like a big thing, but it’s extremely telling. for one, it shows us that before everything, enid respects wednesday’s boundaries. wednesday, who she doesn’t even know yet. and she continues to honor wednesday’s disinclination to hugs, repeatedly, until the final scene. it also indicates that she’s not ditsy or cluelessly abrasive like some other characters who share her disposition. enid is genuinely, thoroughly kind, and it’s striking.
however, as the scene continues and enid gives wednesday a tour of nevermore, it becomes clear that even though she is kind, she isn’t a one-dimensional people-pleaser. she doesn’t hesitate to give wednesday’s attitude right back to her. like when wednesday expresses annoyance over the name of the quad and enid tells her that “the whole snarky, goth-girl thing might’ve worked at normie school, but here, things are different,” and when wednesday shows disinterest in “participating in tribal adolescent cliches,” enid tells her to “use it to fill your obviously bottomless pit of disdain.” is enid sweet? yes. and is she (not so) subtly trying to impress her cute brunette roomie with her knowledge and interests? also yes. but what she’s not about to do is let wednesday sass her without matching her energy. it’s almost a playful kind of banter (i would say borderline flirtatious), and it’s one of the reasons wednesday is instantly drawn to her; enid isn’t afraid of her, or uncomfortable around her, or put off by her unfriendliness; instead, she’s able to interact with her in a way that keeps wednesday on her toes. this, combined with the way enid continuously respects her boundaries, is a dichotomy that wednesday finds irresistible, and it’s why she can’t not treat enid differently than everyone else. and it’s a big reason why she falls for her.
enid’s complexity only deepens when we discover that she can’t wolf out. we find out that she’s terrified of being alone, and as we get to family weekend, we see the dysfunctional dynamic she has with her parents. it becomes apparent that enid herself is a dichotomy; she presents herself to her peers as confident and bubbly and full of optimism, but the second she’s alone with her family, we see a glimpse of her truest self, who she is behind the mask—weary, sad, almost demure, responding to her mother’s criticism with a tired kind of acquiescence, “that’s me, a huge disappointment.” enid isn’t at all what we might have initially thought her to be, and to see her deal with not measuring up to her family’s standards makes her all the more authentic and relatable.
considering all of this, enid’s duplicity contextualizes her delicacy with wednesday in a way that is uniquely captivating. because enid has every reason to close herself off to other people, especially to her roommate who doesn’t even seem to like her, but she doesn’t. in fact, she goes above and beyond trying to befriend her—promising to keep her secret about nero, seeing her off with tyler at the harvesting festival, inviting her to multiple social events, expressing an interest in “bonding” when she took her dress shopping, organizing a birthday surprise for her, knitting her a snood in her signature colors, and even pulling one over on weems so that they could have a girl’s night out. so when she finds out that wednesday has deceived her, she’s rightfully upset and extremely hurt. during the fight scene, all of this comes out, and for the audience—much like for wednesday—enid’s anger is pain-inducing. we see the strength of her vulnerability in that moment, we see her reach the end of her rope, as it were, because deep down enid is just plain exhausted. and that’s what makes her really real. i see the humanity in her so clearly, and it makes me want to cry. it makes me want to reach through the screen and comfort her like wednesday couldn’t in that moment.
but as we know, enid comes back for wednesday. why? because even after everything, even after the betrayal and the snide remarks and the silence, she still wants to take care of wednesday. she still wants to be there for her, to protect her and be her friend. without waiting for an apology from the person who wronged her, she came back. and if that doesn’t make you love enid sinclair with all of your heart, nothing will.

Isn't a writer question but was curious; How does wenclair different from other ships you've enjoyed?
Is it solely due to having been a lifelong Wednesday Addams fan, or is it specifically the Netflix's Addams world that you find intriguing?
I ask mainly because I recall you once saying that your wenclair comics--specifically the Next Gen Au I believe--are written and made with a lot of intention in regards to dialog and the discussions had between characters.
Is this due to a greater insight into the characters or simply a mark of growth in writing comprehension?
I like to think I put as much thought in all ships I've been hyperfixated on tbh. Wenclair isn't even the one I've been obsessed with the longest. So far it's actually Trimberly, for which and I was hyperfixated with for like 3 years.
But yeah ok I get ur point lol The intensity this time feels different, I suppose.
I think it's a mix of both being a long time Wednesday Addams fan and how cute of a ship Wenclair is both in concept and the canon execution of their dynamics.
As some of you are aware, I've been a fan of The Addams for a while now. All incarnations of them are great in their own way, but one of the many reasons why the animated 2019 movie is my favorite is because it didn't give Wednesday a bland ass male love interest. I don't think the B/W series did it(because Wed was like six in that) but the 90's movies, musical, and netflix series for some reason found it necessary to give Wednesday male love interests so painfully boring and i hate it. This isn't even about making Wednesday attracted to boys. I personally headcanon her bi, as the ol' stereotype that all grumpy/angsty female characters must be lesbian isn't my cup of tea, and also because I like to think all Addamses just don't give a shit about gender when it comes to romance. I woulda been fine with her getting a boyfriend so long as they're not boring af and goddddd canon incarnations still haven't delivered. Joel was sweet but he was too much of a wimp, not even Gomez is that pathetic. Lucas' thing with Wednesday was just portrayed in such an icky way in the musical that I couldn't finish watching by the time their sexually charged duet came on, and don't even get me started on the boys Netflix gave her. I expected better of Gough and Millar...(unless the blandness was on purpose like it was with Lana Lang--)
Anyways, because of all said canon love interests, I've been desperate for Wednesday to have a love interest that is both not painfully het or boring for once. Crossover shipping with Lydia Deetz from Beetlejuice the Musical was fun but was ultimately a very niche fandom. I could only draw and write for an audience of twenty or so people for so long. Parker from the animated movie would've been great, but the cop out with her mom dating Fester just made it too weird for me to be fully on board with the ship.
So when Enid Sinclair was introduced as a character I was absolutely ecstatic. On paper alone she already seemed great. She has a very distinct appearance (even if her "design" was inspired by Harlequin and it shows) that goes so well when she stands next to Wednesday, whether it's in the actual show, fan arts, or even in official merch. Her being Wednesday's complete opposite in so many ways makes her being paired with Wednesday so dang interesting too.
And I don't just mean aesthetic or personality wise. I'm talking about how one of Wednesday's struggle stems from having too much smothering love from her family as someone who gets overwhelmed too easily, and Enid's loneliness and insecurity coming from her own family's lack of love and attention where it matters most. Or how Wednesday's just girl who, deep inside worries about being an actual cruel monster like the very bigots she hates, while Enid is a supposed beast who resents herself for only being a scared little girl. Even the fact that Wednesday is an older sister to a soft-hearted younger brother while Enid is the youngest daughter to a bunch of rough-housing older brothers feels very on purpose.
Everything about Enid feels deliberate. Like she IS supposed to be paired with Wednesday, platonically or romantically. She's the best person to stand beside Wednesday as a character because they have enough differences and similarities to have interesting conflicts but also significant character growths sparked by each other. She's not bland or boring like the canon love interests because even without her attachment to Wednesday, Enid is still such a compelling character. The mere fact that she's as popular as she is despite an eight-episode series being her debut in a franchise that's been iconic to generations is already pretty amazing, and only a character as impressive deserves to smooch somebody as iconic as Wednesday Addams.
And their on screen chemistry is just *chef's kiss*

I just finished Wednesday today and I'm full on the wenclair ship!!!! so I'm glad to have seen your art just as I'm done lmao. if you read wenclair fics do you have any recommendations?
OOOOH Okay nice nice!!!
I'm so sorry this is so late but I hope you still want some recs, bc I def got some for you! I tried to keep these pretty succinct and not too many bc a lot of these are pretty long reads but these are some of my fav Wenclair fics to read and reread! I made sure to put different types/genres of fics in here too so there's a diverse list of flavors on here! Most will be complete but I'll throw in some WIPs i've been keeping an eye on!
If We Make It Through December by overnights: If you love FLUFF and Enid interacting with the Addams Fam! A wenclair STAPLE tbh, fake dating, Enid being invited to the Addams Mansion, and CHRISTMAS fic all in one! The dynamics between the Addams and Enid are always sweet, and Wednesday and Enid just teeter on that close friendship to oh, maybe it's love??? thing and it's so sweet to see. It's just very lovely and wholesome! A great execution of that 'fake dating but oops you were in love all along haha' trope!
Magus et Lupus by wigglewyrms: Ok like I had to rep one of my pals in here but in my defense this is genuinely so good and one of my favorite wenclair fics before we even became friends! It's a fun fantasy Wenclair with dialogue that's just so fun and snappy and witty! You're gonna have fun reading their conversations and then you're gonna get caught up into the world and the story! The plot is very fun and the end is a very fun payoff! I think I might have overused the word fun a lot for this fic but like that's just what this fic is--It's entertaining, it's engaging, and it makes you feel like you're having fun reading wanting to know what's next or what's this person gonna say or etc. It's a fic you read and you feel good! 100% Recommend! I even drew art for it if you're interested (which I should honestly repost on here soon)
I'd recommend their other stuff too-- Stubborn, Single Minded, and Obsessive is great if you like the slasher horror genre with a dash of Addams Family Values Lore, and their most recent one that's a WIP, When The Moon Shines Red is a very fun fic focused on Enid's werewolfisms but dangerous, with a very sweet friendship to relationship evolution between Enid and Wednesday!
i know the end by thriftedstars: If you're an angst lover like I am, you're gonna LOOOOVE this! A sort of groundhog's day type of fic, it focuses on the day of the last episode of the first season--Enid, Wednesday, Tyler, Crackstone, all that entails in that night. It's a really fun read just to know what happens next and how Enid gets out of the situation but also to see the girls' relationship grow in this terrible situation. Lots of emotion! Listen sometimes you just need the hurt for the ending to be sweeter! Recommend wholeheartedly!
curtain call by hanjisgirlfriend: on the complete opposite side of the last fic, Curtain Call is an enemies to friends to lovers Wenclair that does an amazing job of capturing that kind of high school love story kind of vibe but like also a dash of youthful nostalgia. It gives me the same vibe of like, if I was listening to the Kids album by Mac Miller--They're kids and they're friends and they're growing up and they're growing up together. I HIGHLY recommend as well, like it genuinely makes my heart lighter thinking about how sweet this is.
raven in the den, wolf in the nest by Barbara_Lazuli: So you might be familiar with the author's name--Artist, Comic maker, Writer, literally what CAN'T she do!!! This fic is another fake dating fic but a different flavor from the first one! This one really dives into both Enid and Wednesday's relationships with their mothers, as well as the building feelings they already have for each other. Their bond in this fic is nothing short of sweet and heartwarming, and I genuinely think this is one of the best fics in the tag! Just got so much substance! Also all the Addams family media references and the Loona refs-- like Barb if you read this you're a champ for making Wednesday play Sonatine and also listen to Hula Hoop and just for making this in general????? Seriously how are you so talented bro
queen of the night by heyfools: Look, a flower shop AU hits okay? And this? THIS HITS. Wednesday is an owner of a flower shop, Enid needs a job, and we know where this is going. But man the way you get to know both characters a little more--their histories, traumas, likes and dislikes and their personalities beyond "appropriately polite cowoke" (well, polite for Enid, not so much Wednesday at first) it's soooooo good! You have a journey along with the characters and you really get invested in their relationship! A great read, especially if you wanna read something like in the afternoon light with a nice lemonade maybe, or like just a very relaxing fun read!
Forged in Blood by RiseAboveTheAshes_203: Okay so this one is a HEAVY HITTER! We're getting into the big bois! It's a 100k fic about Wednesday and Enid basically dealing with the consequences of Enid becoming a blood wolf-- and bro you are seated, belted, strapped into the ride every step because PHEWWWW what a RIDE! It has really interesting lore building upon werewolf society in the show and also witchery and magic from the Addams family. And all of that is great and amazing but the real star of this is just Wednesday and Enid being Wednesday and Enid--they are DEVOTED to each other! Even if they don't quite understand the full means of it yet, and if it gets them in trouble sometimes. It's amazing to see their relationship grow and them understand what they truly mean to one another and it's a captivating love story that also happens to have fun world building for the show and amazing moments that just leave you so tense to know what happens next! I was so tuned in when this was still a WIP I remember refreshing the tag every lunch time for a while for a chapter I was HOOKED, and I'm sure you will be too!
A Kidnapping By Any Other Name by Ravenmoon33: So bear with me this is gonna be a long one; Ok! So this is the other WIP I've put in here (aside from When The Moon Shines Red) and let me tell you--this fic changed my life fr. Some TLDR lore about it tho--the version I linked above there is a revised version! They have an old version they still have up on their account and honestly I also HIGHLY recommend that version too bc it had me in bed giggling kicking my feet like ROMANCE. ROMANCE WAS MADE in these ao3 walls!!! (The flower scene???? No spoilers if you know you know but OOOOOOOOGGHHHH I would not shut up about it for WEEKS Im so sorry to my friends and my poor gf) but I also highly recommend the new version as well! If you've read the first version and are keeping up with the new version, the new things are also so good and you can tell the author is so locked in and excited with what they've added and what they've changed, I honestly recommend both;
So onto what it's actually about-- Enid is "kidnapped" by Wednesday and is "forced" to stay at her best friend's mansion for the summer. And you know what happens? LORE. So much worldbuilding on Addams family lore like it's AMAZING!!! You read about new characters the family past and what it means for Wednesday and Enid, and if that's not enough, there's also the MYSTERY aspect too because Weds and Enid will have to deep dive into that lore to figure out a problem in the present and it's so much FUN to like try to figure out how things go together! I love that aspect of both the versions so much that it's only rivaled by my immense love of how everyone's relationships are written! Enid's relationships with the other members of the Addams fam, especially Morticia, is so healing and heartwarming, and we see Wednesday's different dynamics with her family and how Enid affects her and helps her grow and you see those relationships with her family members grow because of it! And of course, the obvious, Wednesday and Enid basically having a love story for the ages cause JESUS, this is ROMANCE. Wednesday BIG FUCKING ROMANTIC Addams!!! It's amazing omg I wanna say more but I also don't bc I don't wanna spoil but I absolutely cannot rec it enough, even if it stays unfinished it will still be genuinely one of the best wenclair fics for me.
Tumultuous Waters: Wednesday Season Two by KrackenoftheDeep: So we're here at the last one. I didn't really list these fics out in specific order but I did save this specific one for last bc I genuinely think this is my favorite Wednesday fic. This is like a full ass season 2! It's a telling of how season 2 could happen, continuing from season 1 and picking up the ball the first season threw with stuff about the Morning Song cult, a deeper dive of Crackstone and Goody, more worldbuilding about the outcasts and the school, and best of all-- THE Wednesday and Enid dynamic that to me would be so fucking ideal for season 2 if Timothy Burton wasn't a COWARRD!!! /j /maybe
The growth Enid and Wednesday have in this fic, along with the exploration of the other characters, more investigations not just by Wednesday but also the other nightshade members helping and getting involved as well! You really get to feel so many things for these characters, and all of that pays off in one of the most satisfying endings for me in a fic like the author really fucking knocked this out of the park I felt like giving a standing ovation!
I genuinely don't think the Wednesday writers could like, live up to this. At least for me, it's that good. This is everything I've ever wanted for a Wednesday s2 honestly and I honestly, HONESTLY could not recommend this enough.
And after you read this, you can follow along the author's sequel to this fic, The Infinite Black Sea: Wednesday Season 3. Again, also highly recommend! A new mystery afoot!!!
I'm so sorry I didn't expect this to get super long but sometimes you just gotta give tens where tens are deserved!!! There are so many more great wenclair fics out there that deserve a reading and loving, like I know the tag can look a little scary sometimes but seriously there's some great gems there underneath all the scary stuff lol
These are just some of my personal favs, and honestly thank you to all the authors here yall are doing God's work fr!!!

Insane how Vega is the favorite grandchild and yet Esther must be like the least favorite grandparent 😭, the exact thing happens between one of my aunts (not blood related) and me, family dynamics can be wild
I can imagine family reunions of the Sinclair variety being just like the most awkward thing for Vega early on (why does she have to greet so many people!! Everyone is too touchy!! And she doesn’t want cheek kisses either!) vs the Addams just letting her run wild bc even if not forced by manners I imagine Vega probably does greet family members from a distance before resuming whatever goal she is out to achieve
Maybe I’m totally off, it’s just funny to imagine her running around constantly having a hard time staying still (Enid) but instead of socializing she just looks like she’s on a mission to find something sketchy/interesting (Wednesday)
Family dynamics really do be like that. Esther doesn't even realize that Vega doesn't like her as a person all that much. She's just that kind of relative.
That is a pretty accurate depiction of Vega though. She runs off on her own a lot.

My Bitter Half series? Shut up and take my money!
It's monopoly money but the point still stands!
I Never expected that short story to get such praise. But if people want more of it, I’d be glad to I love the Siblings Dynamic, so here’s part 2 AKa: (Y/n) Pissing Wednesday off for (insert number) minutes.
Tumblr media
My Better Bitter Half, Part 2
Chapter 2: Sibling rivalry, Part 1.
“The whole snarky Goth girl thing might have worked at normie school, but here things are different. Let me give you a wiki on Nevermore's social scene.”
Enid and (Y/n) walk between Wednesday down the hall.
“I'm not interested in participating in tribal adolescent clichés.”
“Well, then use it to fill your obviously bottomless pit of disdain. There are many flavors of outcasts here, but the four main cliques are Fangs, Furs, Stoners and Scales.” She explains, they eventually reach the Quad, the main social hub of Nevermore.
“Those are the Fangs, AKA vampires. Some of them have been here for decades.” (Y/n) motions to the ones in deep dark glasses. A few of the more feminine vampires eye the Addams Twins, more importantly (Y/n). They growl and wink at him, some batting their fangs.
“That bunch of knuckleheads are Furs, AKA werewolves. Like me!” Enid smiles, and the howling of werewolves echo along the annals of Nevermore.
“Full moons get pretty loud around here. That's when Furs wolf out. I suggest you pick up noise-cancelling headphones.” Enid said.
“I'm assuming Scales are sirens?” Wednesday said.
“You catch on quick.” Enid smiles, and motions to a girl, dark beautiful skin with azure blue eyes.
“And that girl, Bianca Barclay, is the closest thing Nevermore has to royalty. Although her crown's been slipping lately. She used to date our resident tortured artist, Xavier Thorpe. But they broke up at the beginning of the semester. Reason unknown.”
“Fascinating.” Wednesday says, obviously sarcastically.
“I know, right? My vlog is, like, the number one source for Nevermore gossip.” Enid says with a prideful gleam. (Y/n) sighs at this, until Ajax, a friend and local stoner approaches Wednesday.
Yo, (Y/n) Enid! You're not gonna believe the dirt I heard about your new roommate. She eats human flesh. Chowed down on that kid she murdered. You better watch your back (Y/n).” Ajax says to Wednesday, “You look, shorter, did you grow your hair out?” He asks.
“Ajax.” You say, “That is my Sister Wednesday, the girl who is Rooming with Enid.” You say and he peers over to her, stoned out of his mind.
“O-oh uh—“ he begins but is halted
“Quite the contrary. I actually fillet the bodies of my victims, then feed them to my menagerie of pets.” Wednesday says, which blows Ajax’s mind.
“Whoa. You're both in black and white.” He says to the twins. “Like a living Instagram filter.” (Y/n) shakes his head
“Ignore him. Gorgons spend way too much time getting stoned. He's cute, but clueless.” Enid says, ignoring Ajax, the three continue to acquire her schedule.
“It's a small school. There wasn't much online about you. You should really get on Insta, Snapchat and TikTok. I find social media to be a soul-sucking void of meaningless affirmation.” Wednesday responds deadpanned.
“Are, you sure this is your sister?” Enid asks (Y/n), who grins.
“Unfortunately yes, In all her glory I’m sure.” You say coldly, The day ends and the family must bid goodbye to the twins, Pugsley hugs Wednesday.
“Pugsley, you're soft and weak. You'll never survive without me. I give you two months, tops.” She said
“I'm gonna miss you, too, sis.” He responds, he hugs (Y/n) who gladly reciprocated, and tags a “stab me.” Note on pugsleys back.
“I’ll miss you too little brother.” You say and the family leave in the car, the two stand silent before you spoke to her.
“A Word of Advice Mi Hermana (My Sister) Any plans you have of running away end right now. Mother has alerted all family members to contact her the minute you darken their doorstep, I will be watching you, closely.” You say as you go lucky attitude quickly fades.
“As usual, you underestimate me, Mi Hermano. I will escape this educational penitentiary, and you will never hear from me again.” She says, (Y/n) growls a bit and folds his arms.
“I detest saying this, but You are a brilliant girl, Wednesday, and.. as much as It annoys me, I’d… I’d honestly miss you if you left.” You admit, Wednesdays cold stare slightly warmed as you gritted your teeth.
“Mother wishes for you to stay here, you’re lucky you aren’t in prison like Uncle Fester. Don’t throw your life away over your pride.” You say and walk away leaving Wednesday to consider your words, but as siblings go, she wouldn’t take your orders laying down.
The Next day, (Y/n) effortlessly knocks Rowan down in their fencing, using his quick fencing ability.
“Coach, Coach, he tripped me.” Rowan complains.
“It was a clean strike, Rowan.” You say, “Widen your stance, build more muscle and I won’t knock you over like a twig.” You say, you turn your attention to the other novice fencers.
“Anyone wish to challenge the Prince of Nevermore?” You say, and one voice speaks up.
“I do.”
(Y/n) turns to face his sister, Wednesday. Geared to the toe for fencing. You can only laugh and tilt your head.
“Wednesday, as amusing as this would be I’d rather avoid hurting my own blood.”
“Do you? It seems nothing has changed since you left home, you’re still a coward.”
“Ooh!” The fencers say from parts of the room, (Y/n)’s smile Fades to silence and burning fury. (Y/n) snaps his fingers and the teacher looks up.
“Professor, I’d like a match with Wednesday Addams..” you say coldly and he nods, “First to three strikes.” The siblings get in position and pit on their gear. Drawing their sabres their intense glares focus on each other,
“En garde.” They say in unison and move in, the strikes were fast, fluent and held so much animosity. Each stroke inches closer to a point, before a quick jab to (Y/n)‘s neck won Wednesday a point.
“Point to Wednesday.” The Coach says, Wednesday voice was muffled but (Y/n) could hear it.
“You know what they say Brother, “Pride Cometh before the fall.” She says, (Y/n) moved in, much more ferocious and hungry for victory. The blades dance and trade before (Y/n) lands a point on her heart. The score is even.
“Let's finish this.” You say.
“Agreed. For the final point, I would like to invoke a military challenge. No masks. No tips. Winner draws first blood.” Wednesday says.
“Fine.” You respond and tear your mask off.
“I’ll apologize to mother when she visits you.” You say and Wednesdays focus was dead on you, and the final round began, the bladed tips were fast, sharp and each swing and jab were inches, millimeters away from landing a point, each attack felt so, raw, full of fury and strike, their blades clash once more and Wednesday goes for a stab, (Y/n) for a downward slash. And blood, was spilled.
(Y/n) and Wednesday sat in the nurses office together, both bleeding. Wednesday had a small cut on the top of her head, and her brother? Not as fortunate. He had his upper shirt removed as there was a stab wound in his shoulder. It was being patched up by the nurse and wrapped. The nurse leaves as the siblings sit together.
“Sorry for being a bit too, aggressive.” You say to her, Wednesday kept staring forward.
“I apologize for almost piercing your heart.” She said.
“I’ll admit, what you said got under my skin, you always had that ability to bring the worst emotions out of me.” She explains, “What’s Family good for?” You say sarcastically.
“I meant what I said though, I’d be amiss to have my other half missing. As much as you Hate it mother cares for you, as I do.” You said, you put your hand on her leg and try to reassure her.
“Just, Take what i Said into consideration.” You ask her, Wednesday turns her head to face yours. “I’ll consider it.” She responds.
“Thank you, I’m still going to stab you back though.” You say smirking, and Wednesday attempts to hide her grin.
“You’ll have to Earn it.”

In the defense of Tyler Galpin (spoilers)
Now hear me out. I’m as much of a Wenclair shipper as anyone else, but I have to admit I understand where the writers were coming from by setting Tyler up as a love interest. Definitely the love triangle was way out of left field (especially considering Xavier just seems to fall for Wednesday for no reason at all and both guys are pretty basic compared to her character) but Tyler as an individual character is actually pretty interesting.
Tumblr media
At the beginning, it’s hard to see how Tyler had any significance to the plot at all, except maybe to have a Normie’s perspective and to act as Wednesday’s love interest, but the last two episodes tell us otherwise. In retrospect, him turning out to be the Hyde was a bit of a cliche move but the plot twist was done well enough that you still feel taken aback when you see his true character. In fact, this reveal gives him much-needed depth that saves him from that typical basic white-boyness trope. His hidden dark side gave him a nuance that allows him to go up even against Wednesday.
Tumblr media
I know that a lot of people complain that their biggest problem with the love triangle is that you can’t even tell Xavier and Tyler apart that well because of how basic they are, and I can’t even argue against that. Except during my rewatch, keeping in mind of Tyler’s real intentions does elevate his scenes a lot more. His so-called boring character is a red herring from the beginning, he’s trying to appear as approachable and harmless. He needs to get closer to Wednesday in order to fulfill his master’s wishes, so it’s no wonder that he tries to act as though he falls for her almost immediately. “I thought we had feelings for each other” makes no sense given their prior encounters does nothing to prove that but he’s trying to manipulate the situation for his own favor. Another way the plot twist was built up nicely. The truth is, he’s probably as ruthless and coldblooded as Wednesday, which creates a nice contrast between them as someone who is able to hide their bloodthirst and someone who uses theirs to scare others off.
Tumblr media
But as well as his innocent act was, I almost can’t help but feel as though Wednesday still could see through him. Not in the sense she knew that he was bad news, but could almost sense his hidden hostility, which could also explains why she was intrigued by him from the very beginning. Addams are always attracted to the unusual after all, which sorta explains their dynamic. When it comes down to it they’re both pretty toxic people specifically to each other but that’s always been the appeal in the Addams family. I think if they continued to keep this up in season 2, it’d might make a decent rivals-to-lovers almost, now that they both can face each other with their true selfs. It’s better than Xavier and Wednesday at least, but not as good as Enid. Still, I want to hang onto hope that the writers were thinking as in depth as this was at least.

Tongues & teeth - 2
Part 1, Part 2, Part 3
Chapter 2: Family dynamics and stained nails.
Sirius is the one that walks her to the dorm.
Like always, he was absolutely ecstatic at this opportunity. He's skipping, nearly jumping with every step from happiness as he drags along her baggage.
Enid begrudgingly follows along, still feeling the whispers of Orion's hand around her neck as he brings her into a hug and the lingering kiss of Romulus on her head.
"Keep that raven close, Enid," the father cautions and for a rare moment, there was a storm in his eyes. "don't do what I wouldn't do."
Enid stares and for the first time in a while, she agrees.
"Sooo, Niddy," Sirius starts, his signature smile in place as he strides alongside her. He didn't seem too interested to look around, instead staring right at her with a glint. "Are you gonna miss us?"
They're taking the long way around, going through other doors after the eldest visibly scrunches his nose at the amount of people by the entrance. Enid, not in the mood to play diplomat, tugs at his sweater and here they are, walking through much more emptier hallways.
"I'll miss how annoying you can be, yeah," she confesses before sighing when he links their arms.
"Awh, I'll miss you too, Enid!" he coos, tugging her closer. "Your presence will be dearly missed at home I'm telling you." he lowers his voice, conspiringly whispering like a child. "Now, how about we blow this joint and get out of here?"
"No," Enid answers, not at all indulging in his fantasies. Sirius whines and damn this guy heavy, did he really need to lay his head on hers?
"Come on," he groans and something temps Enid in that moment as they climb a few stairs. It's a little itch, a lil mumble of wrapping her hands around his clothes and doing something. She ignores it, until he whines again and her fingers twitch in an urge to shut him up;
Permanently.
"I will push you down," she warns and she couldn't stop the way her lips tugged up when his eyes turned wide in reply.
"You wouldn't dare!" he gasps. Her answer to that? A small chuff. Immediately, a thud is heard down the stairs and Enid is running up and away with a laugh.
"Enid!"
"I warned you!" she calls out and dared to glance behind her to see Sirius stumbling up the stairs with her luggage on hand.
Enid sticks her tongue out and bam! there’s a heavy person pressing onto her back. Gravity does its thing and now they’re both on the floor. She growls as her hand goes to nearly tear at his sweater, nails threatening to burst out and tear this fucker to pieces.
But she learned her lesson during break so she twists her hand and brings him close enough to try to bite through his flesh instead, her fangs already brought out.
"Ow!?" sadly life never goes her way, so Sirius simply winces instead of dying a bloody death. There is copper in her mouth and it's enough for her right now. "Did you just- I knew you had rabies!"
"Nuh uh," she spits and her grin is wide when Sirius looks aghast at what she did. Next thing she knows, she's getting prodded with fingers, tickling her and smearing his stinky blood on her jacket.
Her eyes go wide at that and immedietely, she lunges.
"Oh you son of a bitch!" gets thrown around and his reply of "that's your mom too!" is heard as the two wrestle on the damn hallway. It took a while, a lot of grappling but in the end, Enid wheezes from her spot on the floor with Sirius sitting victorious on her back, smug like always.
His hand runs through her hair, ruffling it with a smile.
"That was fun, shortstack but it'll take a hundred years if you wish to defeat me!" he boasts and she didn't need to look uo to know he was flexing his arms like a damn bodybuilder.
What're you showing off!? You're built like a twig! Her mind hisses.
Enid pushes herself up, making him stumble off her back to dust herself off. "I'll have you know that I've already done so," she mentions, a smirk on her face.
A growl bubbles from his throat but the way his shoulders lay low tell what he truly feels. He snorts when she snaps her jaw in his direction and she sticks out her tongue before shouldering her bag once again.
"You're such a sore loser, Sirius," she comments, watching as he goes to pick up her other bag.
"And you're a killjoy," he grumbles. "like c'mon, Niddy- your plan of playing low is absolutely humiliating."
There he goes again, switching topics so shamelessly.
"To you sure," Enid agrees and she can't stop the way she nearly skips because she recognizes this hallway! "but I say not giving a shit about the school pack is smart."
"True," Sirius tuts and then his arm is around her shoulder, bringing them so close she bumps her head against the side of his chest. "I don't think domesticated mutts can do much but I'm sure you can teach them the error of their ways."
He laughs, patting her side. "like how we did for you!"
-
“First, you have to properly let it bleed.”
Orion’s voice is rough, a timbre that gravels at her ear like a can of tumbling rocks. It's irritatingly soothing.
My hands aren’t shaking, she notes. It's covered in red, a black one that bleeds into a shade so bright it reminds her of a life that was once taken.
“Show me those claws, Antigone,” he murmurs, his calloused hands taking hers to press at the tips of her fingers.
Her nails pop out immediately, sharp and quiet like she was trained to do. Orion’s thumb slices when he presses it against her claws and his lips pull into a grin at the sight of it, unbothered when it digs in deeper than it should.
Enid watches, entranced.
He steps back, brushing the red against his neck and gesturing towards the hanging corpse of a stag. There’s a huge gash along its throat, of bite marks so harsh that there’s torn flesh and fur stringing out.
It's breathing, barely but she can see how its throat opens by a bit. It's mesmerising, the way a tiny whistle of air escapes and her fingers twitch. To dig? To make that tiny hole all the more bigger?
I did this.
“Beautiful, isn’t it?” Orion points from over her shoulder. “Watching the cycle end?” she didn’t need to look over her shoulder to know that he had that grin of his. The one with too many of his teeth bared to the world, where the scar looked all the more eye-catching from how wide his smile was.
Beautiful, he says. Now that she’s looking at it more clearly; It simply looked gruesome, like something that needs to be taken care of and quick.
Enid watches then she steps closer.
All it took was one swing for it to stop moving.
There's red staining the under of her nails for days after that.
-
Enid doesn't know if she should be relieved or not when no one is in the room.
Wednesday must be in orientation, she thinks and she sighs. She would love to join but…
Her eyes catch the intrusive pest called Sirius, the man humming as he looked over their half window. A growl builds from her chest when he nearly picks at her sticker and he huffs at her, dropping his hands.
She drags her bag on her bed before sitting down because she can already smell the familiar sweet of Wednesday already settling in with the dust. It's been months but even then, it's enough to make her shoulders slump and wish to sleep.
Gods, she surely has missed her roomie.
Then something prickles at her mind and she immedietely straightens up.
"don't even think about it," Enid snaps when Sirius decides to step over to Wednesday's side.
He didn't listen, already striding towards the bed before stilling when a deep rumble reaches his ears. Its enough to make him pause, his breath hitching as his fists balled. His own reaction has him licking his teeth as he ponders for a moment.
"Really, Enid?" Sirius asks, tilting his head as he turns to the runt of his pack. He humms, eyeing the way her eyes dilate. The haze of red he sees settle over her eyes already a sight he's used too. He hears the way her claws tear at her comforter and he knows that if it weren't for all their time spent together, she'd be seconds away from lunging at him.
He was tempted to step forward, always willing to tease-
Until the door opens with a click, loud enough to have both werewolves perking up.
He watches, a bit amazed when the teeth peeking from Enid's llips immediately recede with her claws.
Oho? Seems like lil sister is even more on leash than he thought.
Something bitter grows in his throat at that realization - eugh, horrible choice Niddy - as he turns from looking at his sister to staring at the tiny mortal standing by the open door.
This must be the famed Wednesday Addams, the mortal with too much reign over his sister's heart.
She's so small, he thinks. Thin too, he wouldn't be surprised if he could snap her in two within a blink. Not alot of meat in her bones, he notes, rather gaunt looking actually. The black clothes certainly didn't help and he can't help but think red would look amazing on her.
Then a thought clicked in his head and like that, everything made sense in that moment. He slams his fist into his palm. Oh how could he not have though of this sooner! No wonder she was so protective.
Enid likes her mates like how she likes her food! Tiny bites and lovely when bleeding.
A true smile grows on his face as he steps forward and he suppresses a full body shudder as he gives his sister's meal a hand. It's only polite. Mortals and their norms, so irritating.
"I'm Sirius!" he greets, lips pulling further as he bares his teeth in a grin. "But you'd know me better as Enid's favourite brother."
"that's a lie!" Enid calls out like a liar.
Wednesday only stares, her eyes switching from the hand to behind him. He's tempted to grab at her face, irritated when she didn't even attempt to reciprocate but instead he breathes because he's a gentlemen and he can't go attacking someone's dibs.
Especially not his sister's.
"I didn't know Enid had an extra brother."
Sirius laughs, shaking his head and dropping his hand. She's funny! He thinks and the reminder of Enid's old pack has a certain satisfaction to resurface once more.
Although something toxic bubbles under his skin at the thought of being called an extra.
How rude.
"There's only two of us, me and Orion," he points out with a shrug and if his smile twists into something, he doesn't mention it. "there are no extra brothers."
That was a simple fact and if anyone else claimed otherwise then he wouldn't mind repeating what the Sinclair's went through.

OK HERE ARE THE THINGS I WANTED YO TALK ABOUT IN WEDNESDAY
in no chronological order
"the only one who gets to torture my brother is me" peak sibling dynamic i tell you
I watched it in spanish so it was so weird hearing Wednesday and Pugsley getting called Merlina and Pericle
And Gomez was called Homer which I'm honestly not complaining about but it's still weird
Uncle Fester was called Tio Lucas
And thing was called dedos (fingers) which I'm definitely not complaining about
I wonder how Wednesday and Enid are gonna pack up all those things in their dorm at at the end of the school year, like- they had A LOT OF THINGS THERE
I loved Wednesday's prom dance. I think one of her moves was a dance one of the older adaptations of Wednesday did
THIS DANCE
Tumblr media
(she was so adorable back then i literally can't believe her actor dressed up as Morticia when she was older)
SO YOU'RE TELLING ME GOMEZ BLAMED HIMSELF FOR MORTICIA ACCIDENTALLY KILLING GARRET OMG THIS MAN IS SO IN LOVE
I don't remember if it was Garren Gates or Garret Gates
They weren't lying when they said it had LOTS OF LOVE INTERESTS OMG
Me at first: ugh i hate Bianca she reaks of pick me girl
Me after: Bianca my best friend I love you
Ok but Bianca was so pretty I love her
ENID BABY GIRL SINCLAIR I LOVE YOU
I love her rainbow claws/nails
THE WAY WEREWOLF ENID'S FACE SOFTENS WHEN SHE SEES WEDNESDAY OMG
AND THE WAY WEDNESDAY PULLS IN ENID FOR A HUG AFTER NOT WANTING TO HUG HER OMG I LOVE THEM
"you're always gonna be my favorite, Wednesday" "tell that to Pugsley" peak sibling dynamic #2
EUGENE GOT BEE PLUSHIES WHEN HE WOKE UP OMG
I've had Eugene for 2 minutes but if anything happens to him I will kill everyone in this adaptation and then myself
NO BC WE'RE THEY LYING WHEN THEY SAID THAT WEDNESDAY GOT THEM ALL IN DANGER IF IT MENT FIGURING OUT WHO'S THE HYDE???
I LOVE WEDNESDAY BUT IT'S TRUEEEEEE
She legit didn't have to put them in a near death situation if she couldn't protect herself
I forgot this was a Addams family adaptation like- 6 times
GOD DAMN WERE THE EPISODES LONG
If we're not getting a 2 season and this is a cliffhanger series I'm gonna-
ENID GETTING WEDNESDAY A MATCHING SHALL CAPE THING I LOVE HER SM SHE'S MY BBY GIRL
Even though I love wenclair, Enid seems happy with her medusa guy =[
I forgot his name ok-
Ok but HOW OLD I TYLER???
If he's just a highschool drop out with a job then that's fine but i literally heard THAT HE'S 20 WTF-
BUUUUUUUUT if he's like at least 17 then Wednesday has 2 hands if i may
Literally any scene that has Wednesday playing the cello should be on Spotify

I'm rewatching Wednesday (again) and I just gotta say:
Having Jenna Ortega being so adorably short and Gwendoline Christie being so awesomely tall in so many scenes together was such a great idea? I love it, I love them both, I really hope Weems will be back next season.
I seriously still can't believe how shippeable Weems and Morticia are for some reason lol like, the show literally goes 'yeah they both had feelings for Gomez so Larissa really doesn't like Morticia' and my brain just goes 'ok so they should totally date right? Obviously a poly GomezxMorticiaxLarissa is the only way this goes!' lol
I've been watching reactions and I just love how everyone sees Enid in chapter one and are like, cautiously interested in the oposites dynamic but afraid She's gonna be annoying (we all remember Amanda lol) and then by chapter 2 Enid has already been adopted and must be protected. That's ver power.
Listening to Xavier talk about how psychic powers are influenced by emotions and Wednesday is not great on that front makes me question if maybe that's actually why her visions always became true. Weems says that Morticia's visions were very unreliable but the show again and again shows us that Wednesday's are not. Maybe it's because her emotions are not jnterfering that much (which makes me very curious to see her visions become more vague and unreliable as she opens up in future seasons, it would make for an interesting plot point if she notices she's feeling more probably thanks to and for Enid and having to decide if those feelings are worth losing her impartial visions)
I'm also hoping Thornhill Is back next season because Cristina Ricci, c'mon Netflix you know you want her!
While I'm very into the fandom side of Wenclair (you guys are really awesome), I'm still a firm believer that Wednesday needs to make it up to Enid because Enid was not treated fairly by her until very late in the season. And also, that Wednesday needs to learn how to be a good friend before romance gets involved. If (and I hope when) they go with the Wenclair router, I think a mid/slow burn is necessary.
But I wouldn't complain if they go fastburn I do love me some fastburn lol
I kinda want Pugsley to get into Nevermore next season too. Why isn't he here? ... Well, probably Nevermore would crumble in pieces with both Addams siblings there at the same time tho lol.
Also going back to the Wenclair thing, it's gonna be so funny and weird if the show never references an Addams family curse or Enid knowing greek or any of the things the fandom just collectibly accepted lol that's why I love ship fandoms.

What do you want to happen for s2 of Wednesday?
More of the Addams Family. And to let them be a little more kooky as well as spooky. On this note, more Uncle Fester and showing the rest of the extended family.
Less Xavier. I’m sorry to people who like him but if he gets more screen time in s2 I may need to fast forward. He’s just so incredibly dull to me and I just have no interest in his crush on Wednesday. It felt like the most generic teen show part and imo added zero value to the show or Wednesday as a character.
More Bianca. I enjoyed her arc and would love to see her step up into a bigger role. She gave a very nuanced performance that hinted at more to come and I hope they deliver. They set up a lot with her mum so 🤞🏻.
More Enid. Let her be the second lead rather than any of the guys. Even if they don’t want to make Wenclair canon, the relationship that serves the show and Wednesday the best is her relationship with Enid. Also, I really liked what we saw of her family/pack dynamic. Like obviously they weren’t great to Enid, but they served to create great tension for her character and made her growth feel very deserved.
Bring back Weems!

need a part two !! all about revenge but with a happy ending😭 this would’ve such a good series. readers dynamic with mindy and sam is so interesting to me. both mindy and sam loving tara so much but knowing how much tara hurts reader.. PAIN. i see ppl in the comments talking about sam and reader being a possibility but i feel like that’s kind of out of left field. i totally see sam and reader being more like family because of tara and sams just really appreciative of reader and seeings her as another little sister she wants to protect but it’s hard because she has to protect her from tara so mindy does it. and mindy and sam totally give each other looks whenever something particularly unfair goes on between r and tara. it’s like a car wreck where they just can’t look away. i think it’d be cool to see the aftermath though. maybe reader finally gains self respect and tries to move on (even tho i think it’d be difficult after loving someone for so long). i wonder how tara would react to it, the regret she’d feel would just tumble over and she’d want to think she was right in everything all along but no one’s backing her up and she’s likes oh shit i made a mistake and do need help. also think it’d be interesting to see reader and quinn maybe develop a relationship even if it isn’t serious. like them just fooling around do reader has a distraction and quinn would know. god knows reader isn’t ready for anything serious and quinn, being ghostface, well this would be a perfect opportunity to drive the relationship between tara and reader even more into the mud. quinn would totally be like “she never appreciated you. and you deserve so much better” to reader and r would be agreeing with her but still defending tara. and tara would be all jealous and she’s forced to see it cause r has a roommate so they can’t go to their room and quinn lives with tara so she cant escape seeing them together. and when quinn reveals herself she’d totally make fun of the relationship and be like “and don’t even get me started on r because even when we were together all she could talk about was u, tara” and she’d spit taras words back at her and be like “you’re right she is pathetic. there’s no wonder you kept her around with how she’d follow ur every move/i get why you’d be tired of her bc she was so obsessed with you” and tara would be shocked at the cruel words and hurt because she realizes that’s exactly what she said to reader. i feel like i won’t be seeing a happy ending cause there’s so much angst but i will be rooting for a happy ending ! sorry i’m rambling but it came to my head and i had to let this out. lmk ur thoughts idc if u think it’s bad lol
was this based off anything ? i kept thinking of second best by laufey but a million other songs ran through my head
Okay, first of all, i absolutely love long asks and I'm gonna make sure to answer this with the same energy🤠
I see people are starting to want happy endings too, huh🤨 While I don't think second best is gonna turn into a series, maybe I could make alternate endings for y'all
I do love Mindy and Sam's relationship with R because they balance each other out. Mindy stays by R's side because she knows Tara has Sam and Sam feels relieved that R is getting support from Mindy because she can't leave Tara
And yeah, i don't really see R getting with Sam on part two. However, since I love mixing characters from different universes that I've watched, I considered a lot putting Enid Sinclair (at least a version of her) as Tara's new "competition".
But I also have to say I love your idea of it being Quinn! Although I would make her more of a Tiffany Valentine (if you've seen Chucky) killer in a sense of being a passionate lover who's not afraid of hurting her partner
About it being based off anything, it's not really, at least not intentionally. Second best was actually supposed to be one of those "4 times and 1" where we would see the 4 times Tara put R second and the 1 time R had enough. I'm glad with the outcome though.
And I loved your thoughts! Honestly, you make great points and I'm happy that people seem excited for part 2🥰

Hi my name is Ace and I just finished Wednesday and need to rant about Xavier
Xavier was by far my least favourite character on the show for multiple reasons and I need to rant about it so here is a long ass rant about why I dislike him, why I think he and Wednesday will never work and how I think the writers could improve his character next season.
If you like Xavier feel free to read this and give your view just don't be rude, please :)
Firstly he is the most boring character on the show. He literally has nothing going on.
Firstly I dislike the “small American town stereotype” that he is, that being the tortured artist. This is a personal opinion but it’s been done so many times before and these characters have always gotten on my nerves the most. To me, Xavier is no different and n my mind he’s just Jughead Jones with a paintbrush.
The main arc that Xavier has throughout the season is that Wednesday thinks that Xavier is the hyde, but in the end its nothing, Xavier was telling the truth the entire time and has nothing to hide therefore we spent all of this time trying to figure out what he was hiding only to realise that he wasn’t hiding anything at all. If Xavier had something else to hide then the reveal could’ve made his character more interesting but because there was nothing he lost any potential he originally had.
Compare this to Tyler (which I will be doing a lot, sorry) who also had an arc focused on mystery, we knew something was up with Tyler's mum but not what, similarly to how we knew something was up with Xavier and his paintings and inconvenient coincidences, however with Tyler the payoff worked. Tyler was hiding something, there was more to his character than we originally thought and that reveal added layers to his character from being a small-town barista to a serial killing monster. Xavier is the same person at the end of the season then he is at the start, even being framed and arrested didn’t develop him in any way.
Another thing that Xavier is going through is the troubles he has with his dad, but we don’t really know anything about that. We know that his dad is a famous seer and that Xavier has daddy issues but that’s it. A lot of the characters in the show have struggled with their parents, the difference with Xavier is that we don't see those struggles play out. We see all of the other characters interact with their families so we can get a true sense of what they’re dealing with but all we get from Xavier is him sulking in a corner. Now I understand that one of Xavier's and his dad's hardships is that he doesn't show up but then I would’ve wanted them to use another way of showing us more about their dynamic. Maybe just hearing one side of a phone conversation would’ve done more to show what their relationship is like rather than just being told by Xavier.
They could be teasing Xavier and his dad for season two but if that's the case then they did a bad job at it because I do not care about Xavier or his dad at all.
My main point is that when there are plotlines like the hyde or Bianca’s mums cult or Enid not being able to wolf out or the Gates family, Xavier was the character I was the least interested in, especially when it was at a point where it would be too obvious if he did end up being the hyde.
Of course, I have to talk about the love triangle when talking about Xavier's character because it took up a big part of his screen time.
I do want to start by saying that this is probably not an unbiased opinion as I am a Tyler and Wednesday shipper but I will try to look at both sides as I can.
Firstly let's get the “who was the most creepy” argument out of the way. I don’t really believe that either of them was creepy in a sense.
The worst Tyler did was told Wednesday that he felt like she was giving him signs when she obviously wasn’t. I’ve seen people say that if this was Xavier then more people would call him creepy and I do agree with this but mostly because you have to look at the context in which Tyler is saying it.
Tyler was wrong, Wednesday was not giving him any signs at all but at this point in the show Tyler is deliberately inserting himself into Wednesday's life to gain her trust, therefore it is very possible that Tyler knew he was wrong and was doing this to manipulate her or at least to put the idea of them being romantic into her head. Later on in the scene, he asks her if she’s just using him as a pawn in her game and as a viewer, I was fully expecting her to tell him that she was, but she doesn’t and instead tells him that she had priorities rather then just turning him down.
Everyone has their own opinion about whether Tyler really cared for Wednesday or not and how much of what he said was genuine. In my opinion, he started out purely trying to manipulate her but started to catch feelings as they started to spend more time together, similar to how Wednesday started out only using Tyler to later catch feelings for him.
Xavier is different. Xavier doesn’t have any ulterior motives regarding his feelings towards Wednesday, so if it was Xavier who said this, it would be in a different context.
In theory, Xavier cares more for Wednesday, but that doesn't mean he’s a better fit for her.
My main criticism of their relationship is that Xavier just doesn’t get her like other characters do. I have three examples of this.
The first is when he suggests that Wednesday should join the secret society despite the fact that it seems to be led by Bianca who Wednesday hates and the fact that it’s a social club when Wednesday doesn’t like socialising. He then proceeded to get mad at her because he “stuck his neck out for her” when she declines.
Another example is at the dance where Xavier tells Wednesday that Tyler ruined his mural as a warning that she should stay away from him. Indicating that he thought that telling her this would make her back off of Tyler when really her response to this was “I would’ve done worse.” Keep in mind that this is Wednesday Addams we’re talking about. She once said that she would hate to be done for attempted murder because then everyone would know she failed, why Xavier thought that she would care about his mural is beyond me honestly, I actually find it quite funny how he thought that would do anything.
My third example is to be determined really but him giving her a phone at the end of the season I feel is another example if him not really understanding her. Wednesday says that she “doesn’t want to be a slave to technology” and throughout the season that never changes, she is never seemed to be lacking without a phone. The whole wanting to keep in touch is understandable but I think it could’ve worked better if Xavier had given her a flip phone or something like that. A way for them to keep in touch without having it be modern technology like an iPhone. (Also saving money in Xavier's case)
(Side note: I actually think that scene could’ve worked a lot better if it has been Edin giving Wednesday the flip phone rather than Xavier. It seems like something she would do and I do believe that if she was to get Wednesday a phone she would get her a flip phone rather than an iPhone.)
Compare these situations to Tyler playing Legally Blonde as a scary movie because he knew that she would hate the film and like that she hated the film (manipulation or not, he still understood her enough to manipulate her well)
The main thing that Xavier had against Tyler is that Tyler is obviously the villain but again this is Wednesday Addams and as toxic as Tyler is Wednesday is just as bad.
If the writers do it right they can have an amazing lovers-to-enemies-to-lovers arc with maybe the whole “only I can kill you” vibe. Idk but dating a serial killing monster seems right up Wednesday's alley (even she says it.)
For Xavier and Wednesday to work for me they’ll have to make Xavier more interesting and lean more into Wednesday’s vibe. With Edin and Wednesday, they’re opposites attract and with Tyler and Wednesday they’re two sides of the same coin. To me, Xavier is just somewhere in the middle and has the most boring dynamic out of the three of them.
I’ve seen a lot of people online refer to Xavier and Wednesday as sunshinexmidnightrain or goldenretrieverxblackcat but I’m sorry they’re simply not.
Xavier is not sunshine. He is the tortured artist with daddy issues. He is constantly complaining or jealous, he gets worked up easily and spends the majority of his time painting monsters in a shed. How is that sunshine?
Edin is sunshine. She is always smiling and full of energy, she is social and tries to look on the positive side of every situation. We do see Edin get upset or mad during the show but it takes a lot to get her to reach her breaking point. If the writers are going for sunshinexmidnightrain for Wednesday's love interest they’re looking at the wrong character.
Speaking of Xavier's constant sulking that is something else I really dislike about him.
There's one scene during the dance that really gets to me. When everyone is dancing and having a good time before it cuts to Xavier and Bianca. Bianca is dancing a little in her seat and smiling, still obviously at least trying to have a good time while Xavier is sitting next to her angry that Wednesday came to the dance without someone else and then has the nerve to ask Bianca to erase his feelings for Wednesday.
That was the scene that put me off Xavier completely and despite the fact that he did apologise it was just such a dick move to make and I especially felt bad for Bianca in that scene.
Another thing that annoyed me was him always bringing up the fact that he saved Wednesday’s life at the beginning of the season and acting almost as if she was in debt to him because of this. Wednesday made it clear that she is not thankful so I don't know why he kept pushing it.
( I feel like someone will bring up Tyler telling Wednesday that she owed him a date because he nearly got killed to which I will again remind everyone that Tyler is the villain and needed to distract Wednesday so again, the context is different)
(I am also realising how hard it is to compare two men's actions when one of them has been genuine the entire time and nobody knows if the other was genuine at all)
Now I’m sure this may seem hypocritical calling Xavier a dick for the way he acted while Tyler is the full-on villain of the show but to me, there is a big difference between a good person and a good character and a lot of that relies on how the audience is supposed to view them.
Tyler is not a good person (if he’s fully aware of everything that he’s done and doesn’t care. With Tyler, there is the tricky subject of the fact that he was also manipulated and groomed to become what he was) but he is a good character. He’s the villain, we’re not supposed to condone his actions, similar to Wednesday and her actions. Both of them are not painted to be your typical good guys but Xavier is.
Xavier isn’t the only character like this, Edin and Ajax I will also say are supposed to be seen in a good light. Not only by the viewers but by the other characters.
Also, Wednesday is a show where little moments like that between Xavier and Bianca are bigger tells of character than murder. A character could murder someone in the show and I wouldn’t care but smaller things between characters who are supposed to be seen as good I take note of.
I don't know if that last part made sense but in my head, it does so sorry if it's just gibberish.
In conclusion, Xavier just doesn't have anything going on for him that other characters can’t so better and in a more fun way. I can see the writers going with Xavier and Wednesday as endgame but I really hope they don’t consider the number of possibilities they have with other characters.
Jenna Ortega said that she would want them to have more of a siblings relationship and I can really see that happening in the next season, considering they’re about to take some time away from each other and Wednesday never confirmed any feelings for him the writers could make his crush on her fade over time and have them become really good friends.
I can see myself liking Xavier in future seasons but they have to give him a proper arc that's unique to his character, rather than a tortured artist with daddy issues who has a crush on the new girl.
idk if anyone will both to read all of that but if you did congrats and thank you

So...about the boys in Wednesday...Let's be honest they aren't that great. But i kinda think that's the point. Obviously, spoilers ahead.
Disclaimer: I was not in this fandom before yesterday so I love Enid but i don't ship her with Wednesday. Completely fair if you do but personally i don't dig that dynamic for a romantic pairing and i think Enid is too good for Wednesday 😭 I really thought we'd have more Bianca x Wednesday but alas
Now the "Love Triangle", was it is even one?
Let me start with Xavier. Besides the tortured artist boy being a least favorite trope of mine (ironic considering i am this trope) he just didn't have much depth. He doesn't get along with his dad, he's rich, popular, into Wednesday. What else? He's obsessed with Wednesday. Like i know he can't help seeing her in his dreams but the way he goes about his interest in her is icky and not in the fun way. Xavier is Bianca's ex bf (side note: can we get more Bianca love pls?) And broke up with her bc he felt she was hypnotizing him. Which is ironic considering he asks her to make him forget about Wed. Glad the show touched on how not cool that was.
Other than him just not really having much depth, he is also the "love interest" and i use the term loosely that Wednesday is the least interested in. She only ever entertains either boy when she has an ulterior motive (which y'know girl slay gas keep), but Xavier really never had a shot and I hope the end scene was more them becoming friends than anything bc imo they had negative chemistry. Wednesday doesn't care about Xavier's feelings. She doesn't care about his warnings. He is just of no importance to her until he seems like the killer. I really hope they give Xavier a glow up and keep them as just friends, we need more m&f friendships that don't turn romantic.
One to the other (more successful) love interest. Tyler.
Now i didn't put love interest in quotes this time bc he actually got a kiss. Lemme make this clear, Wednesday would have never gone along with Thing's shenanigans if she was interested in Tyler. She would have never gone on the date or kissed him if she didn't want to. Of the two dudes, Tyler is imo the only real love interest of s1. Xavier is just some guy who likes her. Tyler may or may not have been into Wednesday but she was into him. If you disagree with any of this that's fair but i think we watched different shows idk. Wednesday was definitely into Tyler in the end, but was he into her? Was any of it genuine or was it all an act? Idk for Wednesday Addams, i think a manipulative monster is probably her dream guy just saying
With that established, I need to admit that Tyler is my preferred love interest. Now lemme explain before you run away, Tyler is a manipulative POS but that's exactly why he's great for Wednesday. She's an Addams, they are a family full of manipulators, criminals, and altogether twisted people. Yet at the same time they're lovable and loyal to each other. Wednesday canonically tortures her brother, she's not called toxic for no reason, she's the most malicious Addams we know. Even Fester is mostly just a goof, a murderous goof but still. With the caveat of Tyler getting a redemption arc in next season, i can totally see the show overlooking his murders bc we still don't really know what being a Hyde entails and like i said, the Addams don't seem to care if you killed or kill people, just don't wear pastels. And honestly it's a bad look to just cast aside the traumatized, abused, and neglected kid as evil and leave it at that. With our protagonist being who she is, i hope the writers give Tyler some more screentime bc i can really see him being a great rival/frenemy to Wednesday and personally i think if she does get a romance, enemies to lovers is probably the best trope for her.
If you made it this far, damn sorry you did that to yourself. If you're a wenclair girlie, I'm rooting for you but it's just not my cup of tea tho I'd love to be proven wrong in subsequent seasons

So I also posted this to AO3 but since I know people might not follow it there here is the first of the out takes/deleted scenes from "The Continuum Of Self."
First Impressions
Enid wasn't sure what to expect from the Addams' but this certainly wasn't it. No, judging from what Wednesday had said she expected the family to be somewhat distant, maybe even as cold as her own parents, however it seemed farther from the truth.
Enid had come to expect meal times to be quiet unless her mother or one of her brothers brought up a topic. However, with the Addams It seemed like everyone had something to share.
Wednesday brought up some sort of historical fact about avengers that she had been reading about, something that both her parents seemed interested in—and that her grandmother seemed eager to share her knowledge about. Then there was Pugsley who spoke about coding a game—something Gomez offered to help him with—and then there was Morticia who seemed attentive to whatever it was her family was saying.
Enid couldn't keep the bitter emotion that wound its way through her stomach at bay at the warmth they seemed to share. Why did Wednesday complain so much when in reality her family was basically perfect?
"What about you, dear?"
The sudden voice caught her off guard, and made her nearly drop her fork.
"Sorry, I must have spaced out." She said after realizing Morticia wad thing to her.
"Has anything piqued your interest lately? Wednesday mentioned you have a variety of interests."
Enid wasn't sure how to answer that—or take the fact that Wednesday had talked about her—after all, she didn't want to look like an idiot in front of her hosts.
"Tell them about that musical you've been obsessed with."
Wednesday prompted after a while
"I've had the annoying soundtrack stuck in my head thanks to you playing it on repeat during our calls."
Enid felt herself falter slightly, sure she had told Wednesday she wouldn't apologize for being herself but this was Wednesday's family she was talking to. The people who had agreed to let her stay with them for the rest of the summer.
"I doubt they would want…"
"Please, Once for a week mother was humming tunes from My Fair Lady. I highly doubt your pop music infested stage show will scare them."
After dinner Enid was even more surprised by the whole dynamic that seemed to unfurl before her. Gomez and Wednesday took to the sitting room, fencing against each other and even without protective gear Enid could tell that neither was really trying to actively hurt the other.
Then there was Morticia and Pugsley who seemed to prefer to engage in quieter activities although both watched in amusement as the other two sparred.
Enid couldn't help but wince when the blade snapped against Wednesday's side, causing Gomez to stop instantly, although as soon as he did Wednesday knocked the saber from his hand.
"You shouldn't be so sentimental, Father."  She stated, although that didn't keep him from asking if she was alright, something that earned him a dirty look.
It was almost comical, watching Wednesday argue with her father who was fussing over her although he was not deterred at all. Instead it seemed to make him worse.
"Please excuse those two's antics. Come sit, tell us a bit about yourself." Morticia said, fondness obvious in her voice—something that didn't help Enid's bitterness at all.
Why couldn't her family be like this?
"Um… what would you like to know?"
"Anything you wish to let me know."

Shark Queen
Fandom: Wednesday (2022) Summary: She may have swum with sharks before it, but it wasn't really swimming. It was existing in their tank in a cage, which was rather boring. As soon as her girlfriend finds out that she can't swim, though, she spends a lot more time in water with a much more dangerous creature. Warnings: Mentions of canon-typical child endangerment Word Count: 2,693 Ship(s): Wednesday Addams/Bianca Barclay
Archive link!
A/N: I love these two so much and if I'm not able to find fics with them in it then I'm just going to have to write them myself. I remember that this idea was given to me by someone else but I don't remember who it was so I can't give them a shoutout or dedicate this to them, sorry! I hope that you all enjoy this. Thank you all for reading <3
Bianca had been flabbergasted when she found out, which was something that she usually wasn’t. The siren was a very capable, intelligent woman that was able to take in information very quickly and decide what she wanted to do with the confidence of a royal. It was something that Wednesday admired her partner for very much, especially since a lot of the things that she usually said about her family and interests astounded the standard person. Bianca was anything but standard, which was half of what made it so surprising that the news shocked her as much as it did.
They were sitting in Wednesday’s dorm in Ophelia Hall, since Enid had escaped with Ajax for the day. They were going on some horrible sounding date involving shopping and cafes, which Wednesday had been forced to listen about for almost half an hour when they got up. The Raven was perched on the edge of the bed with her back ramrod straight and her hands perfectly poised in her lap. Bianca was sitting in Wednesday’s chair, now turned around so that she was grasping the back of it and twisted at the waist. She had been thumbing through the latest chapter of her girlfriend’s novel as she always did when she came over.
“Are you serious?” she asked, her golden eyes wide and her head tilting to the side. Her lips were open slightly as she asked the question, but as soon as the words had left her she pursed them tightly.
“I am never not serious, Bianca,” Wednesday replied curtly. It was true, while she let the occasional joke slip into the conversation most people found her gallows humor to be disturbing instead of funny so she usually just stuck to insulting them instead.
“I know, I know. You’re just overflowing with morbidity,” Bianca rolled her eyes fondly at her partner. They enjoyed the dynamic that they had, even if it was viewed as abnormal or even borderline unhealthy by the uneducated on the outside.
The siren slipped off of the chair that she had been perched on and then gracefully made her way over to where Wednesday was. She leaned down and pressed a kiss to the center of her forehead after tilting the other woman’s face up with one finger underneath her chin. Bianca then sat heavily down on the edge of the bed like what she had just done was almost intoxicating with its intensity.
“You’ve really never learned how to swim?” she asked, lolling her head to the side so that she could look at her girlfriend over her shoulder.
“My father taught me to swim with the sharks when I was young,” Wednesday gave a half-shrug.
Bianca shook her head while making a face. “That doesn’t count. You’re lowered into a shark cage, which are massively inhumane I hope you know, with a line that can pull you back at a moment’s notice and breathing equipment. It’s hardly more than a bath.”
Wednesday let out an annoyed little huff and folded her arms over her chest, “What do you count as swimming then?”
“Swimming is when you actually have to use your arms and legs to keep yourself afloat or move yourself in the water. That means that bouncing around in the shallow end of a pool doesn’t count either,” she said quickly before Wednesday had the chance to find a loophole in what she had said. She shifted so that one of her arms was on the other side of Wednesday’s hips, caging her onto the bed. “I want you to meet me on Raven Island and I’ll teach you how to swim. We can do it at night so you don’t have to wear one of those horrible full-body swimsuits. Alright?”
The other girl sat there for a moment, stuck between wanting to insist that she didn’t need to learn how to swim and wanting to do whatever it was that Bianca wanted her to. There was something about the Siren that was so alluring and wonderful, even without the use of her powers. Wednesday had a sneaking suspicion that even though Xavier had now realized he was asexual and aromantic, he had been startled by falling so deeply into Bianca’s orbit. Wednesday found it intoxicating, like when she had switched to using arsenic in her tea instead of the usual cyanide.
She gave a nod of agreement to let her girlfriend know that she was going to show up. Bianca responded by closing the few-inch gap between the two of them and pressing their lips together in a brilliant kiss. Everywhere that her hands brushed over Wednesday’s sun-averse skin felt like it had been lit on fire in a way that she never wanted to forget.
---
Later that night, Wednesday had Thing help her row one of the boats out to Raven Island. The lake had been a place that not a lot of the other students wanted to go at night, even though Crackstone’s Crypt had been demolished and then relocated to the local cemetery after it was found covered in blood and already mostly smashed up due to his resurrection. Wednesday came here often, though, to remember the night where she had been so close to returning to death’s waiting arms. Bianca liked it because it was secluded and the events that happened due to Laurel Gates kept others away from it.
The boat pulled up to the bank of the island after about five minutes of rowing. Wednesday clambered out of it and paid no mind to Thing as he skittered off onto the island to do whatever it was he had been planning since she informed him of her date. Bianca walked out from behind one fo the large old-growth trees and looked over the other girl. “Are you going to change?” she asked.
The siren was already dressed in her bathing suit, apparently not planning on shifting to teach her lesson. It was a two piece bikini that was a lovely shade of blue with a yellow flower print that was tastefully scattered over the cloth. It revealed the beauty of her body, the curves of her hips and legs along with the stretch marks that were scattered over her hips and stomach.
“I suppose,” Wednesday sighed. She grabbed the bag that she had packed with her out of the boat that she had arrived in. She then removed her top, folding it quickly so that she could stuff it into the almost-empty sack. She shucked off her pants next, which left her in only her bathing suit. Wednesday had gone with something a bit more conservative than her very confident girlfriend, a simple one piece black swim suit that had an o-ring in the back that held the pieces together. It covered her stomach entirely even if it revealed the side of her breasts and almost her entire back.
“You look wonderful,” Bianca reminded her. She placed her hands on on both of Wednesday’s hips to tug her forward and give her a comforting kiss on the lips.
The smaller woman hadn’t realized just how nervous she was about what they were doing until she had the steady reassurance of her partner above her. The feeling of Bianca’s hands heavy on her waist and her lips pressed against Wednesday’s own was enough to settle the anxiety that had been formed in her chest.
“You look acceptable as well, I suppose,” Wednesday hummed as her eyes drifted down to the golden chain that held the locket she had given Bianca for their one year anniversary. It wasn’t long after they returned from their impromptu winter break after everything that had gone down when they started dating. That meant that their anniversary had just passed, though they celebrated bringing down Crackstone more than they celebrated the day they started dating.
Bianca beamed. She had known Wednesday long enough and was familiar with how her girlfriend spoke to know that was a very earnest compliment. She leaned down and stole another kiss before she threaded their fingers together so she could move her girlfriend around as she liked. Bianca brought them down to the edge of the water, turning back to look at Wednesday with a big smile and to make sure that she was okay.
“We’re going to adjust to the temperature first and then I’ll show you how to do some strokes, alright?” Bianca asked. She was already about ankle deep into the rolling waves on the bank of the island, but she had stopped walking to give Wednesday the time to give her consent.
“Why is it so important to you that I learn how to swim?” Wednesday pouted after giving Bianca a little nod. They walked further into the water so that they were both up to their knees and then paused to adjust to the chill that was shooting through them both due to the difference in the water compared to the night air surrounding them.
Bianca slowly began to guide them in deeper, wading into the water like she was meant to be in it. Which was true, as she was a magical sea creature in many senses of the phrase. “Well, it’s kind of ridiculous for a siren spouse to not be able to swim whatsoever,” she laughed.
“Awfully bold of you to assume that we’re going to be getting married,” Wednesday clicked her tongue. As much as she liked to say that she was never going to become a housewife, get married, or have children, she did like the idea of marrying Bianca at least a little bit. Bianca wouldn’t try to force her to be someone that she wasn’t, so the idea of getting to be with her forever did have a bit of allure to it. She couldn’t let the other girl know that just yet, though.
She laughed, tossing her head back so that she could stumble back into the water. She had already released the other teenager’s hand so that she wouldn’t be dragging Wednesday down into the water before she was ready for it. Her body tumbled down into the clear water of the lake. “You know that no one will ever be able to understand us like we do each other. It’s only reasonable that if we’re going to be staying together like this then we would get married. If not to get our parents to leave us alone, but so that we have to pay less taxes and have more rights to each other,” she reasoned.
Wednesday had almost forgotten to listen to what her girlfriend was saying as she marveled at how beautiful her partner was. She knew how to appreciate beauty, even if what she found beautiful was often different than what normal people did. Bianca often looked like she was a star that had been plucked down from the sky, immaculate with all of her magnificent imperfections.
She sighed as she slowly lowered herself down into the water so that her toes were just barely able to touch the silt and sand on the bottom of the lake. “I suppose that you’re right. Now are you going to get on with the lesson?”
“I am, if you just let me,” Bianca replied with another little snort. She was so cute when she laughed like that, it made Wednesday want to carve out a place for herself inside of her girlfriend and live there forever.
She pushed herself off of the little bank that she had been using to bounce in the water and towards Bianca. The other teenager reached out so that her hands were pulling at Wednesday’s shoulders to bring her further into the water. She gently moved them around so that they were no longer able to use the bottom of the lake to keep themselves up. She instructed her girlfriend on how to kick her legs and arms in the water so that she could stay up in between learning how to shoot herself through the cool, inky liquid.
As afraid of this as she had been, though she would never admit that, Wednesday found that it was rather enjoyable. She had never been fond of the idea of her body being dumped into water so that it could decay and eventually wash up, which is probably where her near fear of swimming had come from. If she was going to die and her body was to be dumped somewhere, she wanted to make sure that it was able to be found so that she could turn into a mystery.
Now that she was here with her girlfriend, however, a lot of that fear was slipping away. She listened to what Bianca had to say about moving her limbs around to keep her afloat in the water. She knew that it would have been easier to learn if they had been in a stagnant pool instead of the lake, which had waves created by the small breeze blowing through the grounds.
The thing that she enjoyed most about the experience was the way that Bianca’s hands slipped over her silky skin. Wednesday wasn’t very partial to being touched, not even by her parents and brother, but whenever Bianca even grazed against her it felt like she was being pumped full of a kind of life that she had never felt before. It was the kind of feeling that became addictive after she had gotten somewhat used to it. Sometimes she found herself going out of her way to get even a little bit of it.
While she didn’t want to be swimming and didn’t care much for learning how to swim, she would take thousands of lessons whenever Bianca wanted if it meant that she got to have her girlfriend’s hands over her like this more than once.
The sun was beginning to peak up over the edges of Nevermore’s spire by the time that they had finished. Granted, they had started after a nap pretty late at night so that they could be assured that even the night owls would have retired to bed and they would be well and truly alone.
Wednesday slowly paddled back to the edge of the island and then hefted herself up onto the shore. Her muscles ached in a way that she hadn’t experienced before. She did exercise to make sure that she would be able to have the stamina for her investigations and torture sessions, but this was still different than anything that she had done before. She didn’t ache in the same way that she had when she had been hunting the Hyde and Laurel Gates the year before. Her muscles were exhausted but they didn’t feel bruised and ruined like they had back then.
She rolled over so that she was laying on her back with either of her arms extended out next to her. Bianca let out a little laugh as she gracefully swam to the point in the lake where she could walk out and then sat down beside her partner. “So how was that? Am I at least decent at teaching swim?”
The smaller girl thought for a moment before she gave a small nod. “Yes, I suppose. But I think that the next time we should do this during the daytime. I’m cold,” she was borderline complaining but she didn’t care. Bianca was the only person to hear her and she trusted the other woman with her life. Bianca had already saved it once, after all.
The siren let out a small chuckle. She leaned down, keeping her body halfway up with one elbow. Bianca then turned so that she was laying part of her body over the top of her girlfriend. Her spare hand, the one that wasn’t helping to keep her upright, she cupped the side of Wednesday’s cheek. “I’ll keep you warm and then once you’re feeling better we can get dressed and head back to the school, alright?”
“Alright,” Wednesday nodded in agreement. She leaned up and connected their lips while relishing in the feeling of the other’s body against her own.

HELLO, IVE JUST FINISHED WATCHING WEDNESDAY
because i am the biggest dumbest nerd when it comes to the addams family: ive made a crappy list of why wednesday is everything i hoped for and more and why it is absolutely fucking perfect. spoilers.
im not entirely sure on how to start slow with this one so im getting right fucking into it. enjoy reading the disaster of my thoughts on this masterpiece:
AMAZING CASTING. jenna is incredible as wednesday, catherine and luiz are the perfect morticia and gomez, i adored seeing christina ricci KICKING ASS. gwendoline christie was amazing as weems, fred armisen as fester???? lost my shit he was so perfect. i don’t think there was a single cast member i wasn’t amazed with.
no genuinely i loved all of the nevermore students
fell in love w enid so fast omg i was rooting for her so hard her arc was so awesome (her and ajax are so cute too)
rip rowan you would’ve loved wenclair
THING!!!: its not the addams family without thing, and its especially not the addams family if thing isn’t being a little shit stirrer the whole time. perfect beautiful i love him A++
THE WEDNESDAY/PUGSLEY DYNAMIC WAS SO ON POINT they literally have the actual best sibling dynamic
i now know that you have not lived until you’ve seen wednesday addams stuck in a love triangle. she is not a character that you would expect to have a romantic interest but now in my mind she’s just beautifully a-spec and probably demiromantic. yes obviously i love xavier.
don’t get mad at me but i don’t ship her w enid that much?? at least not romantically but hey i would not complain if we had a polycule or qpr!!!
also it was genuinely so cute to see wednesday making friends like. why was i sobbing so much when she hugged enid. holy fuck.
THE DANCE SCENE. SHES AN ICON SHES A LEGEND AND SHE IS THE MOMENT
i am referring to both her actual dancing and ofc “they couldn’t even spring for real pigs blood. its only paint.” so real.
cant even stop myself from mentioning that jenna ortega looks very hot covered in blood which happens a lot in this series. like almost every episode. jesus fucking christ i am so in love with her.
i am a huge edgar allen poe nerd so i fucking adored every little reference to his works. also the idea that he was an outcast is so real to me.
speaking of outcasts: ngl definitely could’ve come up with a better name, “outcasts” just made it sound weirdly like some awkward teen high school drama but you get used to it
wednesday’s visions were so cool??? i loved the whole goody addams thing their interactions were really cool and god i just was not expecting that at all.
ok tbh it was really weird that her name was goody, since “goody” is the puritan equivalent of “mrs.” (its short for goodwife) so idk why they did that but ok i’m still here for it
honestly in general they do a really good job of keeping you guessing. i was suspicious about almost every single character throughout the whole series.
in retrospect i should’ve known tyler was gonna be an asshole from the start cause. i mean. his name is tyler. no offense to my tylers, but be real when have you ever seen a tv show character named tyler that wasn’t a douche. i’ll wait.
i’ve typed tyler too many times and it no longer looks like a real name
episodes are nice and long but i obviously wish the series was longer, but it was super bingable and i’m probably gonna rewatch it 3 million times until the next season inevitably comes out.
not to be dorky but i loved how every episode title was a pun w the word “woe”
i have really horrible media literacy in the sense that i overthink EVERYTHING so to me like almost everything in that was beautifully executed symbolism and maybe it was but when i say i lost my shit when i noticed wednesday stand on enid’s side of the room and fsr thats the only example i can think of rn BUT STILL
overall 5 stars 10/10 show i cant wait for more i love the plot i love the characters i love the cast i will be recommending it to everyone ik and more
