Solid Waste Management rules 2016 and the way forward.
The Union Ministry of Environment, Forests and Climate Change (MoEF&CC) notified the new Solid Waste Management Rules (SWM), 2016. These replaced the Municipal Solid Wastes (Management and Handling) Rules, 2000, which had been in place for the past 16 years.
These rules are the sixth category of waste management rules brought out by the ministry, as it has earlier notified plastic, e-waste, biomedical, hazardous and construction and demolition waste management rules.

Memories Of Green
Aloha kākou. Environmentalism is killing life on our planet. Toxic Green Energy products is poisoning life on this planet. The leftists at the Serrira Club, Green Peace, and other groups don’t care. They want the planet over people and planet over life in this world. They have petitioned the government that a planetary crisis will happen if we don’t stop using fossil fuels. That’s untrue.
So,…

Wednesday marks World Water Day, a day raising awareness of the more than 2 billion people around the world living without access to safe water, including many First Nations communities in Canada.
The federal government says 138 long-term drinking water advisories have been lifted since November 2015, although some short-term boil water advisories have also slipped into the long-term category during that timeframe.
As of Feb. 3, 2023, there were 32 long-term boil water advisories in 28 communities in Canada. The majority of them were in Ontario, with 24 advisories in 21 communities; Saskatchewan had five remaining advisories in four communities. Manitoba has three remaining long-term boil water advisories: Mathias Colomb Cree Nation, Shamattawa First Nation and Tataskweyak Cree Nation. The federal government says water treatment plant upgrades are underway in those three communities. [...]

Patagonia's recent statement stuck with me: "If you're serious about the climate crisis, you've got to develop a level of comfort with contradiction".
Holding space for multiple truths, like the possibility of a better future and the world we have now, is key.

Ask an Ecology Expert: How Is the Climate Crisis Changing Our Seasons?
Early springs and long, hot summers are disrupting migration and mating patterns
Over the past few decades, climate change has been driving what scientists refer to as “season creep” in some parts of the world: winters are getting shorter, spring is coming earlier, and summers are longer and hotter. Besides disrupting human life, these changes to the seasons are having a profound effect on animals. We asked Madhur Anand, a professor of ecology at the University of Guelph’s school of environmental sciences, what rising temperatures mean for our ecosystems.

Second Rate Britain 2
We all know about the millions of tonnes of raw sewage that is being dumped into our rivers and seas by the mainly foreign owned water companies -70% of England’s water companies are foreign owned.
In Malaysia 2020, two company directors of a construction company were arrested for "raw water pollution" and held in custody for seven days awaiting a verdict on whether to prosecute them or not.
“They are being investigated under Section 430 of the Penal Code for committing mischief causing a diminution of water supply for human and animal consumption, which provides for imprisonment for up to 30 years, a fine, or both, upon conviction." (Malaysia Now: 11.11/22)
In Kenya, it was reported that:
“Nairobi City Water and Sewerage Company (NWSCO) acting managing director Nahason Muguna has been arrested over pollution of Nairobi River…. Muguna is said to have ignored the stoppage of raw sewerage discharge into the river by several actors, a situation that has led to adverse pollution of its waters.” (ke/opra.news: 2021)
June 27, 2022 saw the publication of a UK government paper titled “Sewage in water: a growing public health problem.” The paper laid the responsibility for deliberate water pollution in the UK firmly in the lap of water company directors.
“ ...the principal public health responsibility for ensuring human faeces and viable human faecal bacteria do not get into waterways people might use recreationally, rest squarely with the water companies and their directors." (gov.uk: 27/06/22)
Despite this warning nothing has changed. Here in Britain, we allow the discharge of raw sewage into our rivers and onto our beaches with virtual impunity for those responsible. Rather than arrest or personally fine those water company CEO’s who sanction the dumping of millions of tonnes of raw sewage into our water network, we reward them.
“Bonuses for water bosses in England up 20% last year despite sewage failures." (Guardian 19/08/22)
If Malaysia and Kenya can arrest company directors for polluting their national waterways then why cant second-rate Britain?

Learning From The World Around Us
In a recent episode of David Attenborough’s new BBC series Wild Isles, he spoke of what is being colloquially referred to as the “Wood-Wide Web“, that is the mycorrhizal network formed by fungi underground connecting with tree roots so the various life-forms in a given wood or forest may exchange both nutrients and information. Not only are they capable of exchanging water, nitrogen, and various…

5 MORE Ways China Is Destroying the Planet
China is destroying the environment, and not just in China. In this episode of China Uncensored, we look at 5 more ways China is destroying the planet.
Again, more stories that are not in the narrative, remember, it’s just all perception management, you only see what they want you to see. A long time ago, it was well known the whole planet couldn’t support a first world lifestyle for so many people, too bad Nixon went to China, it was very poor back then. Good video, a few different areas are touched on, including over fishing and destruction of habitat.
