This is the cover of LONG LIVE EVIL. So many thanks to my cover artist Syd Mills and my designer Ben Prior. The blend of gleeful irreverence and epic fantasy is so dear to me! I hope you like the cover. I hope even more that you enjoy the book…
A TALE FOR EVERYONE WHO’S EVER FALLEN FOR THE VILLAIN…
When her whole life collapsed, Rae still had books. Dying, she seizes a second chance at living: a magical bargain that lets her enter the world of her favourite fantasy series.
She wakes in a castle on the edge of a hellish chasm, in a kingdom on the brink of war. Home to dangerous monsters, scheming courtiers and her favourite fictional character: the Once and Forever Emperor. He’s impossibly alluring, as only fiction can be. And in this fantasy world, she discovers she's not the heroine, but the villainess in the Emperor's tale.
So be it. The wicked are better dressed, with better one-liners, even if they're doomed to bad ends. She assembles the wildly disparate villains of the story under her evil leadership, plotting to change their fate. But as the body count rises and the Emperor's fury increases, it seems Rae and her allies may not survive to see the final page.
This adult epic fantasy debut from Sarah Rees Brennan puts the reader in the villain's shoes, for an adventure that is both 'brilliant' (Holly Black) and 'supremely satisfying' (Leigh Bardugo). Expect a rogue's gallery of villains including an axe wielding maid, a shining knight with dark moods, a homicidal bodyguard, and a playboy spymaster with a golden heart and a filthy reputation.

WHAT IT’S ABOUT
Plugged into his AI god when its corruption renders him unfortunately immortal, sad gay disaster Sunai takes a die-again-or-die-trying approach to his tragically unending life. Despotic police states want to leash him and giant robots want to eat him, but reuniting with the small handful of people he cares about is what’s actually horrifying.
Adrift in the wilds, Sunai makes several unwise decisions such as:
Scavenging old ruins haunted by hostile fragments of another shattered technological deity
Allowing his mind to become further compromised
Sleeping with his mysterious employer for information and fun
Joining a haphazard crew of pirates who all have different motives for hunting a feral remnant of the same god that cursed him, all those years ago
This brain-melting series-starter is like a Neon Genesis Evangelion AMV set to a bass-boosted cover of George Michael’s "Careless Whisper."
Alright guys I got bored while I was in quarantine for covid and decided to try to make a notebook specifically for writers to jot down all those ideas we're all sure we'll never forget since they're so cool.
Also, with Preptober coming up soon, I thought I'd throw it out for all the wrimos out there!
So we have:
1. Pretty Cover!:
2: Cute inner page to make you feel like the real writer your imposter syndrome tries to tell you, you aren't:
3. Map Space! To put down your fantasy lands, insert towns, or maybe those nines seas you decided you had to have cause seven clearly wasn't enough (😭 somebody save me, why did I chose nine?!!)
4. Timelines! Perfect for keeping track of what's going on in your story or even for you to keep yourself on track!
5. There are also premade Extensive Character sheets to help you develop your own personal blorbos. Along with space to sketch your OCs if you have a shred of artistic talent (or even if you don't!)
6. There are also some Basic Character Sheets for those interesting side characters who aren't supposed to take over your story:
7. And of course, space to write a bunch of notes, complete with doodle boxes for you to draw, well....pretty much anything you want, whether it been a cool weapon, a specific landscape, or to note a specific expression on a character's face.
Finally I can officially reveal the cover for my Filipino Epic Fantasy SAINTS OF STORM AND SORROW.
In which a bisexual nun hiding a goddess-given gift is unwillingly transformed into a lightning rod for her people's struggle against colonization. Perfect if you love lush fantasy full of morally ambiguous characters, like The Poppy War and The Jasmine Throne.
Huge shout out to @missnatmack who did such an amazing job with the cover and incorporated some of my favorite details like Lunurin’s embroidered piña cloth blouse, her salwal style pants featuring the pinilian inspired weaving patterns of Northwest Luzon, and of course her weapon which was inspired by barbed Filipino fishing spears called Sibat.
Saints of Storm and Sorrow comes out June 25, 2024 with Titan books! Preorder links can be found on my linktree in my profile.
As far as trilogies go, you would be hard-pressed to improve on Peter Jackson's quite frankly immaculate #lord of the rings movies. So much has been said about them that it is hard to know where to begin, or indeed say anything that hasn't been said before. The internet loves the word iconic, and with good reason, but each one of these films—The Fellowship of the Ring, The Two Towers, and Return of the King—have as strong a claim to such an adjective as any. Perhaps the best compliment one can pay to the monumental cast and crew behind these behemoths is that they represent what is likely the outstanding cinematic achievement of our lifetimes. And they did so by, famously, filming the unfilmable.
With much talk on the future of the cinema-going experience in the age of streaming services, perhaps no movies better demonstrate the magic of the big screen experience like #LOTR. It is a fact that all in Tumblr's Tolkien community can remember vividly the first time they saw each of these films in the cinema. It was an experience that, somehow, turned three hours and more into a time that passed in an instant—and created an immersive, vivid fantasy world that no-one wanted to leave.
We really could go on and, indeed, we'd love to. But time is of the essence, and though a wizard is indeed never late, this post, like The Grey Pilgrim himself, arrives precisely when it means to. In any case, there is a whole #lord of the rings fandom community out there on Tumblr who loves these movies every bit as much as we do, if not more so. They also love the books, too—and know more than a thing or two about Tolkien's enchanting Middle Earth.
FULL NOVEL RELEASE on JANUARY 31st - EXCLUSIVE to REAM & PATREON ONLY
In the dangerous, ethereal realm of the fae, alliances between the Seelie and Unseelie fae merchants are few. Some say impossible.
Matan, a Seelie fae and peacock pheasant shifter with a talent for trade, must keep his Seelie alignment a secret as he embarks on a perilous journey to gather wealth and save a loved one from a terrible curse. He joins an Unseelie merchant caravan of fae who would surely eat him if they learned of his alignment.
The enigmatic Udir, a paranoid Unseelie master of poisons and bearded vulture shifter, discovers Matan’s secret and threatens to blackmail him in exchange for vile favours. But Udir’s bravado and bluster hides a painful past and Matan isn’t as innocent or as naïve as he seems.
Amid bustling markets, savvy clients, and travelling to new lands Matan has never seen before, Tradewinds is a story of love, found family, trust, betrayal, and the healing that can grow in the shadows of the vibrant, perilous southern fae lands.

Waking in a watery tomb after untold years, Kai, a prince among demons, a king among witches, must solve a murder—his own. But first he must gather any allies that still live and navigate a changed landscape.
“A wildly original and complex fantasy exploring how revolutions are won through trust, and destroyed through selfishness. Wells excels at brooding, powerful inhuman protagonists who just need a little kindness to be their badass best.”
—N. K. Jemisin on Witch King by Martha Wells
MORE ABOUT THE BOOK
Kai should be a hero. After all, he helped save the world—but his void-black eyes and demonic powers have always made people hate and fear him. As Kai investigates, he discovers that the world that cost so much to save may just be in danger again.
NYT bestselling author Martha Wells weaves a story of power, friendship, and the family we choose in WITCH KING.
It’s a year ago today that we announced LONG LIVE EVIL was to be published by Orbit, and now this is the year! July 30th, 2024. I’ve been waiting and waiting, and I have so much evil news. I hardly know what to say first! I’ll figure it out. But for now, I celebrate.
