Design In The Age Of Transitions
On 29 June 2022 Ensaama, represented by its Director Eric Chenal, participated in the conferences on the Dassault Systemes campus as part of the World Design Organization's design week. The spotlight during the day dedicated to ‘Design In The Age Of Transitions’ was on French design schools. On this occasion, the students in Dnmade3 Spatial Design presented their project "The Wood Cocoon", which highlights sustainable rehabilitation of student residences focusing on furniture and interior architecture. The project was conceived in collaboration with French Design by VIA and Codifab (a professional organization in the wood sector).
The presentation was given in English, under the supervision of the international relations department.

Cannes recuerda a Luis Buñuel y Víctor Erice en su sección de clásicos
París, 3 may (EFE).- La 70 edición del Festival de Cannes recordará, en su sección de clásicos, filmes que han formado parte de la historia del célebre certamen y grandes obras de la cinematografía, entre las que se incluyen cintas de los directores españoles Luis Buñuel y Víctor Erice. Sus organizadores anunciaron hoy que se proyectará "El sol del membrillo" de Víctor Erice, que en 1992 consiguió el premio del jurado y el reconocimiento de la crítica internacional (FIPRESCI). De Buñuel, por su parte, llegará a la Croisette una versión restaurada con tecnología 4K de "Belle de jour", protagonizada en 1967 por Catherine Deneuve. La sección de clásicos fue creada hace 15 años y presenta películas antiguas y obras de arte restauradas con el objetivo de acercar al público a "la memoria del cine". Su programa en la edición de 2017, que se celebrará entre los próximos 17 y 28 de mayo, incluye 24 películas, un cortometraje y cinco documentales, con un foco especial en la propia historia del certamen. "Proceden de naciones que han permitido al festival convertirse en una tierra de descubrimientos cinematográficos", dijeron los organizadores, que junto a España citan a otras como Italia, EEUU, Israel, el Líbano o Japón, "que consideran que la salvaguarda del patrimonio es esencial". Entre las cintas seleccionadas en esta ocasión están la estadounidense "All that Jazz", que le valió a Bob Fosse la Palma de Oro en 1980, o "Blow-up", de Michelangelo Antonioni, Gran Premio Internacional en 1967. A Cannes llegarán restauradas, entre otras, la francesa "L'Atalante" (1934), de Jean Vigo, la cubana "Lucía" (1968), de Humberto Solás; la argentina "Native Son" (Sangre Negra, 1951), de Pierre Chenal, o la estadounidense "A river runs through it" (1992), de Robert Redford. Y entre los documentales en los que el cine cuenta su propia historia estarán el estadounidense "Filmworker", de Tony Zierra, o el francés "Becoming Cary Grant", de Mark Tidal. EFE

Top residential real estate transactions in 2016.
While there were no staggeringly pricy residential real estate transactions in 2016 and fewer sales of homes at $1 million or more than in 2015, the number of homes selling in the $700,000 to $1,999,999 range was higher — 62 compared to 55 last year.
The top three priciest homes were sold in midtown's Heights neighborhood, but most of the transactions took place in West Little Rock. The highest downtown transaction, and the only one over $700,000, involved a home on Center Street, across from the Governor's Mansion.
