Let’s Test for Seven

Summary: Erkan Vel caught Solus Vetra running through batteries of medical tests on herself at 0300. When he stepped in to offer a hand he never expected the results to be yes. Nor did he expect Solus’ reactions.

Notes: This is almost a complete overhaul of a previous fic from over a year ago. I intended for this to serve as the official reboot of used to be my Two Wild Halves Verse. Or, “The one where Solus goes about life backwards for a bit, joins Death Watch, and the Galaxy turns out better for it.” The new AU title is “I’m Not Alone”

Erkan Vel knew in another life this moment should have been joyous for Solus. The few clues she had let slip about her mother culture considered this a grand event. People would celebrate once at the announcement then again at holidays. To raise more Mandalorians even made it into the tenets of how they defined themselves. Yet, there was no celebration to be had in this moment. Just the two of them sitting in a small exam room at 0300  with the machinery for company.

“Are you certain?” she demanded with thin arms crossed over her chest. The world still looked as if it had dropped out from beneath her. “This isn’t nausea caused from stress or a parasite? I have been doing pick-up missions for two weeks.”

He took a deep breath in before counting a long, slow exhale. “Solus, at your request, I’ve ran three separate tests. That’s on top of the four you did yourself. You are pregnant. There is no denying this.”

Dark grey eyes turned glassy with unshed tears. It caused his heart to twist and ache with hers. But, she had to face the facts. Hitting the denial phase with the strength of a Dug on ‘roids would help no one. In the early stages thing could be hidden. But that stage would pass far quickly for her. This was not something not even she could twist her way out of when confronted.

To give her some semblance of privacy he held up his datapad to thumb through her medical files. Solus Vetra, Expectant Mother was a helluva thing to wrap his mind around. When he thought of her name the images that followed was “Hero of the Grand Army”, “Former Mandalorian”, “Flying Ace”, or even “Jedi Spy”. Motherhood had no place among those. Less so with the newest addition of Kit Fisto’s Padawan. He knew the expectations and standards sitting Council Members’ proteges were held to were high. Pregnant Padawan would not meet any of them.

Checking on her from the corner of his eye brought her braid into focus first. The pure white was messily woven together with half twisted strands and fly aways everywhere. Even the scrap of pale blue ribbon holding it all together had seen far better days. Turning his head a little more he had to trace his way upward to see her Padawan braid. The tell-tale black and yellow beads barely visible in the chaos had been tucked behind her ear.

Erkan let his eyes move a trace higher then regretted the decision. Meeting her eyes was like gasping for breath in frozen air. The corpse like coloring he was used to but not the sudden youth she had gained. Instead of a hero shouldering the burden of war with ease he saw what she could have been: a teen, readying herself to face the future. Not a spy with a hollow expression and old eyes. It felt far too much like seeing the Masterless Padawan returning from Jabiim. All of the pain, guilt, and suffering shoved beneath a fake stoicism to make herself press forward.

It’s only pain was how she had phrased it back then.  

“Then how long do I have to plan?” she asked, voice soft in tone yet deafening against the silence.

“I can give you about a week,” he admitted while rolling his chair over to rest a hand upon her knee. Guilt had welled up at the thought she broke the tension only for his sake.  The least he could do was offer her a simple act of comfort. “Nothing is official just yet. I can lock the files for a while but there will be a time limit.” He winced while looking up at her, “You’ll need closer monitoring due to your size, possibly species difference, and the concerning Morning Sickness. That symptom should have been another month or so out.”

A weary sighed answered him followed by a frown. “I’ve had to do more with less.” Something about her was too resigned to an unchangeable fate in that moment. It made him feel bitter at the Force for a split second. Solus had been through enough without this burden. Now was not the time to test if yet again she could roar back to life from dying embers.

“This is a result of a consensual decision, correct?” he asked to rip the bacta patch right off. It was a difficult question but mandatory. While never made privy to her missions in full he did know some of what she did. Her skillset and caliber sent her to unsavory places often. Mandalore could have been as much the outward mission as something off the books too.

Both brows shot straight up to become lost in her hairline. “Really? That’s the question you’re asking? I’ve not taken one of my missions in three months and I know I’m not three months pregnant.”

Sharp indignation was a welcomed change. “It’s something I have to ask.”

“It’s still an answer you should already know. I assure you, I was more than willing in everything that transpired.”

A glance at the imaging test results put her at the four to five week mark. Early stages were harder to estimate until there was something to measure. But, she clearly had a conception date in mind. Another tap told him, his presumed date was close to the Mandalorian Fiasco she was balls deep in from start to finish. This had to have been the result of a victory celebration or the need to let off steam. There was no way a pregnancy could survive the burns, blaster shot, contusions, concussion, and multiple broken ribs of Concordia.

Solus eyed him as if he as a specimen in a glass. The wheels in her mind restarting  with enough speed to quickly overtake his own. “You already know the answers to all of the questions. Just tick them off and leave the father as unknown.” Before he could ask for her to elaborate she forged ahead. “We both know this should not be possible. I’ve been on high dosages hypos since I was thirteen to halt reproduction.”

He knew she was baiting him into a different line of thought but he eagerly took it. “Records say you were a couple of weeks past due for a booster. The lingering dosages should have covered you more than enough. Even then, the chances of you ovulating at that exact moment is infinitestial. Sephi reproducing almost always involves science now. Somehow, though, you beat those odds.”

“This wasn’t Ryloth. I didn’t beat any odds.”

“Would you prefer the Force is mysterious?”

Mauve lips twisted into a scowl, “If you try and feed me the Force willed this I will murder you.” Sitting up straighter, she kept her arms crossed protectively over her torso. “That being said, think I could sell this to the Council as the Force Willed It? Or, whatever weird bantha shit they believe that makes breaking the Code okay sometimes?”

A laugh came from deep within his belly. Nothing could shift Solus’ moods faster than the chance to take potshots at the Council or the thought of a fight. “If anyone could sell this story to them it would be you.”

“What are the real options?” Pale fingers twisted and worked over the ribbon in hair.

“One, we terminate the pregnancy and the knowledge never really leaves this room. It becomes a footnote in your medical file chalked up to failed birth control. Two, you appeal to the Council to keep your place within the Order as you carry to term. From there, it depends if the child is Force Adept or not as to where they go. If no, they could be placed with your birth family. If yes, the records will be sealed from you and the Order steps in to fully raise them.” The final option was the most difficult for him to offer. “Three, would see you leaving the Order, your standing to be determined, if you wish to have a relationship with the child. But, you would be entirely on your own.”

“I really am stuck with this one.”

Locking his datapad, Erkan tucked it beneath his thigh and reached to rest a hand on Solus’ arm. She needed him as a friend far more than she needed him as a healer. “Just take some to think about everything. Meditate with the Force to find your answer. This is a huge decision I don’t expect you to make right this second. I promise, I will be right next to you every step of the way no matter what you choose.”

“Thanks.” The smile he received was watery but it was a start. One hand moved to rest of his and squeeze: small and delicate but calloused and cold. “For everything. As far as I know, we’re the only two people with this knowledge. It’s nice not being so alone.”

“Anything for you, Sol.”

She leapt for another quick topic change as her hand returned to rest across her stomach. “Any chance I can get something to help keep my food down without alerting anyone? I’ve not properly ate in three days”

Erkan picked his datapad back up to then pressed a few quick buttons. “I sent a prescription ahead for a generic anti-nausea medication. There’s a week’s supply as well a note relieving you of duty for duration.” He tried to smile reassuringly at her, “As far as the system knows you have stomach bug. Considering you’ve caught and consumed nuna raw. That would shock now one.”

“Anything specific to this I should keep in mind?”

“Avoid caffeine, stims, fights, training, physically lifting over ten pounds, and large acts with the Force. I would suggest herbal teas, specifically with mint or ginger, bland foods, lots of water, and rest.”

“Elek, elek,” she answered in Mando’a with a mock salute and an eye roll. After standing up, she rearranged her tunic and obi before batting her braid back over her shoulder. “Shi ganar at akaanir te ka'ra cuyir an.  Iviin'yc borarir bal projor yaim at haran”

“Sol, I don’t have a karking clue what you just said but no. That idea is terrible. Rest and meditation only.” When all of this was over he would learn Mando’a if it killed him. He felt like the only person at the damn Temple who didn’t understand it.

Cool lips pressed a kiss to his temple in thanks before she left the room with a peal of laughter. It was good her spirits had raised for the time being; even if it was at his expense.

The pneumatic door slide shut leaving Erkan alone. His head dropped into his hands at the mere thought of the future. Whispers of Jedi growing too close to certain Clone Troopers had been circulating from the War’s start. Solus and her possible offspring would only add merit to them. She had admitted, while tipsy one night, to a weakness for blonds and armor. Something the GAR was currently not lacking in, even aboard The Coronet with her and the others.  She never said they have to be a natural blond.

“A child born of a Fett Clone and Solus? Fully Mandalorian with the possibility of the Force?” he whispered aloud to himself. “It’s not even 1700 but I need a drink.”

10 Farklı Şehirden 48 Sanatçının Kuran-I Kerim’in Mesajları

Denizli’de 10 farklı şehirden 48 sanatçının Kur’an-ı Kerim’in mesajları konulu 45 eserden oluşan “Gelenekli Türk İslam Sanatları Sergisi” açıldı. Hat sanatı üstatlarından Mahmut Şahin‘in öğrencileri tarafından hazırlanan eserler adeta gönüllere dokundu.

Gelenekli sanatların Anadolu’da hak ettiği değeri yeniden kazanması ve halkın ecdat yadigarı sanata ilgisinin artması amacıyla Kütahya Vav-Der, Eskişehir Vel Kalem ve Bursa Bab-ı Nun tarafından başlatılan ‘Kültür-Sanat Hareketi’nin bu seferki durağı Denizli oldu. Denizli 2. Kitap Fuarı’nın açılışı ile birlikte sanatseverlerin beğenisine sunulan 10 farklı şehirden 48 sanatçıya ait yaklaşık 45 eser yoğun ilgi gördü. Farklı sanat dallarından oluşan serginin açılışına katılan sanatseverler, eserleri çok beğendiklerini ifade ederek, böyle güzel etkinliklerin halkın beğenisine sunulmasında emeği geçenlere teşekkür ettiler. Serginin organizatörü Hattat Ömer Özgül (Uşşâkî), 8 Nisan’a kadar açık kalacak sergiyle ilgili İhlas Haber Ajansı’na (İHA) yaptığı açıklamada, sergideki en büyük amaçlarının ata yadigarı olan gelenekli sanatların tanıtılması olduğunu ifade ederek, “Biz Anadolu’da gelenekli Türk İslam sanatlarının daha fazla tanıtılması, sevilmesi, bilinmesi, ecdat yadigarı bu sanatların bize bırakılan bu mirasın daha fazla geliştirilmesi ve toplumun her bir kademesinde değer bulması adına Anadolu’nun farklı şehirlerinde sergiler açtık bugüne kadar Adıyaman, Gaziantep, Bursa, İstanbul, Kütahya, Uşak, Afyonkarahisar, Denizli ve birçok şehirde sergiler açtık, sanatçı arkadaşlarımızın ve Mahmut Şahin hocamızın desteğiyle. Sergide yaklaşık 45 eserimiz var ve bu eserlerde 50 kadar sanatçımızın dokunuşu söz konusu. Ana yapımız hüsn-i hat sanatı üzerine. Hüsn-i hat sanatı yanında tezhip ve ebru, ahşap kakma, bakır kakma ve kaat’ıdan (kağıt oymacılığı) oluşan eserlerden farklı çalışmalar söz konusu” diye konuştu.

“Kur’an-ı Kerim’den mesajlar içeren bir sergi” Hüsn-i Hat hocası ve Bursa Şabaniye Geleneksel Sanatlar ve Kültür Derneği Başkanı Mahmut Şahin de, 2003 yılından bu yana verdiği eğitimlere devam ettiğini belirterek, Türkiye’nin birçok noktasında karma sergiler açtıklarını dile getirdi. Şahin, sözlerini şöyle sürdürdü: “2003 yılından bu yana Bursa, Eskişehir, Kütahya ve Kocaeli’de dersler veriyorum. Ayrıca İstanbul derslerimiz devam ediyor. WhatsAap, internet üzerinden de dünyanın dört bir tarafına dersler veriyorum. Bu sergide Bursa, Eskişehir, Kütahya ve Kocaeli’deki öğrencilerimiz ve oradaki derneklerimizin müşterek yaptıkları bir sergi. Kur’an-ı Kerim’den mesajlar içeren bir sergi. Yaklaşık 450 öğrencimle birlikte çeşitli karma sergiler yapıyoruz. Bunlardan birisi de bu sergimiz.”

“İslam sanatı Kur’an-ı Kerim medeniyeti olan bir sanat” Şahin, bu sanatın her şeyden önce Kur’an-ı Kerim medeniyeti olan bir sanat olduğunu vurgulayarak, “Hat sanatı bizim genlerimizde olan bir sanat, çok fazla eşelemeye gerek yok. Çölde değiliz, biz koskoca bir medeniyeti sırtımızda taşımış bir milletiz. İslam medeniyetini en zirve noktasına getirmiş bir milletin mensuplarıyız. 80 yıl kadar bu sanatlarımız, ‘gelenekli sanatlarımız’ dediğimiz sanatlarımıza bir ket vurulmuş. O keti kendi çabalarımız ve arkadaşlarımızın çabaları ile İstanbul’da ve çeşitli illerde yapılan sergiler ile icazetli talebelerimiz ile devam ettirip, canlandırıyoruz. ‘Gönüllere nasıl dokunuyor?’ sorusuna gelince ise bizim sanatımız zaten İslam sanatı, Kur’an-ı Kerim medeniyeti olan bir sanat. O yüzden fazla bir şey yapmamıza gerek yok, Müslüman olduğunuz zaman ve baktığınız zaman size hitap ediyor” şeklinde konuştu.

"Euzübillahimineşşeytanirracim" demek, Allah'ın rahmetinden uzak olan ve gazabına uğrayarak dünyada ve ahirette helak olan şeytandan, Allahü teâlâya sığınırım, korunurum, yardım beklerim. Ona haykırır, feryat ederim demektir.

 "Bismillahirrahmanirrahim" demek ise, her var olana, onu yaratmakla ve varlıkta durdurmakla, yok olmaktan korumakla iyilik etmiş olan Allahü teâlânın yardımı ile, bu işimi yapabiliyorum demektir. Rabbimizin sevgisine mahsar olmak için hergün yukarıdaki zikirleri duaları en az 100 kere mutlaka uygulayın.

"Elhamdülillah"       Anlamı : Hamd Allah'adır.

Birahmetike esteğîsü lâ tekilnî ilâ nefsî tarfete aynin ve aslıh lî şe'nî küllih(Neseî) Manası: Ey hayy ü kayyüm olan Allah'ım! Bütün işlerimi düzeltmeni, göz açıp yumuncaya kadar dahi nefsimin eline bırakmamanı, rahmetine sığınarak senden isterim.

Hazret-i Ali buyurdu ki: “Bu duâya sımsıkı sarılın. Çünkü o Arş-ı a'zamın hazinelerinden bir hazinedir.”

What would be the ultimate happy endings for your OCs?

Gonna start with this can get really long depending on who I use and which verse. So, in my desperate attempts to keep everything short (it’s probably going to fail) I’m sticking to my Main Verse and about ten of my characters. Rest assured all of them want better lives for the Clones and deeply dislike the Empire. However, how their individual character arcs would have played out changes the prominence of certain things in her mind.  

First off, Lumi wants the Jedi Order to still be a thing and for Order 66 to have never happened. Her and Mace would’ve parted on much better terms than the strife of their last few months followed by his death. She so desperately wants closure with him after everything that happened. In the end she’s still the little youngling he helped learn to control such an overwhelming gift. As much strife as the Clone Wars brought, she would not begrudge the Clones their chances to live and thrive. Because they came into the Galaxy as unique lives and deserve ever chance to live and experience life to its fullest. However, when the War was over (with a much better ending) she would still elect to leave. Her calling is somewhere else, with something better. She’d still end up with Fenn because there’s some things the Galaxy wants to happen. Same as she would still train Hera because that’s her little sister now. She’d probably live out her days in the Mandalore Sector with her friends and family, helping teach Force Sensitives (Solus absolutely refused to let the Jedi Order touch) and flying and maintain starfighters.

Solus wants a united Mandalore with a more peaceful transfer of power back to the people who are unashamed of their heritage. No part of her wants to be Manda’lor but she does want to serve next to them (and she knows exactly why she can’t be), as an adviser and sometimes spy. She wants to live on Krownest in her ancestral home, wear her armor, and help her people flourish and thrive again. She’d end up adopting any Clone (or anyone really) who wished become Mandalorian and needed a home. Krownest is difficult planet but her people are tougher. Solus also desperately wants to get married and raise warriors with her spouses. Once she really got to know Ahsoka she knew they were always meant to be. Them and their third form a merry little Triad where everyone feels safe and loved. Her leaving of the Order would’ve been mutually agreed upon thing, and while she does believe Mandalorians have no place among the current Jedi, she does keep contact with her Master Kit. It is also a no-brainer that she wants Lumi and Jazari by her side because they’re a set.

Following her best friends’ lead I believe Jazari would end leaving the Order as well. There’s a lot of reform that needs to happen there and she is not volunteering for the monumental task alone. There would be a lot of free travel between Mandalore (I see her thriving in Keldabe among the ancient and modern, bustling, shifting, thriving city) and her home city of Jedha. She finally opens her happy little sex shop, making her own wares for sell and offering information sessions and donating to charities. She works to limit the various slave rings plaguing the planets bet it funneling money into groups that help or taking more direct action, aided by her teammates, in directly stopping problems. 

Two parts domestic fantasy and one part power fantasy Kamelia wants it all. She makes it to the rank of Master within the Order, at an impressive age, and then retires to return to either rural Corellia or a nice mid-rim planet. She opens a clinic but still has time to be wonderful homemaker. Definitely gets married to a man (imagine women’s magazine cover Hugh Jackman meets like a beloved firefighter/EMT who climbs trees to rescue Tooka and thinks she’s the absolutely hottest, most wholesome thing to ever walk) and has two children, spaced really far apart so she doesn’t have to worry about playing favorites, and gets to be the unholy product of Florence Nightingale and Martha Stewart. There’s not task too big or small for her and everyone has wonderful things to say about her. Finally, she gets to claim some kind of victory of Lumi, Solus, and Jazari who were nothing but wash outs in the end. They failed at being Jedi but she got to rise, then surpass, every dream she had.

Erkan stays within the Jedi Order and lives. That’s a very important thing. He also does the shocking thing of helping to reform the Order to the best of his abilities. Throughout the lead up to the war and the after effects he was able to see both the best and worst of the Temple. Despite, lacking the political savvy starting out (which he wants to pick up) he works to return them to their roots of helping people without the Senate holding their strings. He wants to open more Temples across the Galaxy and move them further out again. No longer would the Jedi spend the bulk of their time in the Temples when not on missions but they would be out and about and fully learning about the Galaxy. He wants their range to expand further than Republic allied worlds because the Force is for everyone. He doesn’t like the exclusivity that they have now, this kind of uppity feeling that the Force is only for those lucky enough to be born free. He also wants to see the rules for attachment reevaluated because relationships are the corner stone of civilizations. There’s not reason to forbid them in a sense because some people can’t separate love and compassion from possession. Those people would have that problem anyway and they might even be able to work through it if they felt comfortable in coming forward.  He becomes the regular Qui-Gon Jinn sauntering around the Galaxy and helping he considered he could’ve became moments before dying.

Jai and Harti share a joint dream because their dream is to be together. Their family is reunited, like the people, and they finally get to settle down. For decades they have fought and now it is time to grow old together in a happily married bliss. They’ve got their beloved Solus back, along with the little gaggle of rebels Harti picked up and Solus’ constant companions. Jai not only lived but so did Jango. He’s protecting Jango for Jaster and watching Boba grow next to Solus. Harti complains they’re all trying to eat him out of house and home when his living room plays host to a verifiable horde of hunters. But, he absolutely loves it. Everything feels like a community and a family again. People are happy, Ursa doesn’t look so tense and alone, and frankly watching Solus play with Tristan and Sabine gives him hopes for great-grandchildren. Jai adopts a literal horde of Clones too. They’re his boys because he trained them and Krownest gets a population spike.

Commander Mav, rarely mentioned but important, would live in his best ending. His brothers are free and he finally gets to choose what he does with his life. That being said, he would 100% still end on Krownest with Solus after some soul searching on his own. He still trains because he likes being able to protect people but that’s not his main focus anymore. The Republic wanted him to be a soldier but that’s not who he is. Now he has so much freedom. He studies various things and picks up a knack for writing novels and art appreciating and cooking. He gets to be Solus’ friend and equal in the eyes of everyone, beyond just her and their group. I could see him taking up helping raise a bunch of the small clones and strongly advocating giving them the serum to slow their aging so they get to have proper childhoods.

Bounty hunting, like the Original, ends up calling to Alpha ARC Tranyc when the war is over. He didn’t much like serving the Republic as a soldier but he does like using his training. Bounty Hunting seems like a nice compromise in still getting to use his skills but living on his own terms. He doesn’t settle into Mandalore but does the occasional breeze by to annoy the fuck out of Mav and try and rope Solus into shenanigans. He succeeds a lot. She makes a great get away/pick up pilot or extra gun. But, he does comm Mav a lot because he likes the overly polite bastard despite his assertion that he’s an asshole loner. They probably talk nearly every day. Even in his happiest world he doesn’t admit feels more for Mav and Solus than her really should. They weren’t supposed to get hot but here they are. 

Iviin has the same dream of a united Mandalore as the rest of the Mandalorians. He doesn’t want to see Death Watch, Shadow Collective, or anyone else ruling. Jaster’s line needs to continue. He never had to become Manda’lor because they still had Jango. There was no need for him to take on that role in his life and it means he gets to serve under a Fett Manda’lor. He happily works from Concord Dawn, and Keldabe or Krownest on occasion, and has Solus as his partner. She’s the pilot of the duo and his sniper when need be. He’s also happy to have Solus’ little Force Sensitive crew running around with them. Call him crazy but he thinks Jazari and Lumi are fun.

Solus Drags Everyone the AU

Notes: So, started as an over-caffeinated tangent like three days ago. The entire premise is Solus got hit with a hot mic during what becomes the most extra 15 minutes of her life.

Summary: Solus has colorful things to say about the Senate. Very colorful things.

Covertly filming a corner booth was difficult but Ementior Vera was crafty. This would be his big break. He could feel in resonating down to the bottom of his self-admittedly shallow soul. A friendly conversation between two random Jedi was nothing. It was like eavesdropping on senate janitorial workers. But, this duo held a Jedi he knew. She was not a household name like Skywalker nor even on par with Kenobi or Windu. Yet, he remembered her enough to recognize this gilded opportunity. When he was finished Vetra would outshine his new bank account. - Roll film. “Three pints of that piss tasting ale says you aren’t fine,” the Kiffar chastised before drawing up his wine glass for a sip. His tanned face wrinkled in displeasure at the taste. “Just lay everything out now. It’ll make it easier on me and your liver. As your friend I know it needs a break.” The recorder lingered on him long enough to get a few good angles for later identification. A strong profile with emphasis on the three black stripes running down his cheek. Luck granted him a full frontal view showing the tattoos were mirrored to the other side. The Unknown also had a slightly crooked nose and noticeably lacked a braid but had a lightsaber. At least a Jedi Knight, going off his apparent youth. A thick mane of black hair cascaded around his broad shoulders and well-muscled, bare biceps beneath his tunic. If it stuck with him a little longer future viewers would be okay. No one complained about quality eye candy. “Well, I say I’m fine,” Vetra snapped back. A silver switchblade rolled effortlessly between her fingers; blade extended. “My liver is doing well. It had the entirety of Sundari to recover.” Ementior shifted his sole focus to her where it would stay. Jedi were supposed to be blank more often than not. The masses had heard about their phobia of emotions and knew they wore humble robes. Yet, she leaned heavily in the opposite direction. Easily read annoyance was painted across her snow face. A common thug’s blade rolled hypnotically between her fingers while she drank ale in a seedy bar. One seedy enough to not frown at a patron openly displaying a weapon. Even the rich navy of her close cut tunic and black leatheris accents failed to scream Jedi, or even Baby Jedi. Only that braid gave her way. The man forced more wine down but looked on determined at his companion. “Then, at least tell me why you have this one,” he gestured to her knife with a nearly empty glass. “It’s not your usual fare. A gift then?” “Because you never know when you’ll have to gut your enemy and let the dire-cats eat ‘em alive.” No part of her voice raised before she smiled at the end. Something razor sharp with prominent fangs. Predatory really. “Not at all.” “Was that a bedtime story for a four year old?” came out in a complete deadpan. “Sure it-” Vetra cut him off, “Three and it doubled as a history lesson.” Something wistful wove across her face in place of the previous emotion. “It was part of a reminder really. That even a terrible threat, who thought himself above all, was nothing but mortal in the end. He died well.” A snort of laughter served as the Kiffar’s answer. For a second the holorecorder slipped out of focus as he straightened up. Ementior felt his balls attempt to retreat into his body at the exchange. The Kiffar was still a no name but she was a new layer dangerous. Beyond the Jedi training and ruckus attached to her martial skills lurked something more. A whole lot of something that had a hand in training her. Spying may end up being a terrible idea after all. No story was worth dying to get. The knife twirling stopped as a waitress passed. “Another ale, please?” she asked sounding courteous with a softer smile. “Just bring me the bottle of wine,” her companion said resigned to his fate. “I might as well finish it. Save some poor sap from having to buy it later.” He got a laugh from the waitress. Several moments of silent footage passed. Already he debated if it should be edited out or left. Vetra did paint a pretty picture sinking into her seat. One long leg kicked out drawing attention from wedge heeled boot trailing into something black and skin tight before disappearing beneath her tunic. The posture even caught a hint of lightsaber clipped to her belt. He would keep it as a reminder of exactly who she was. “We could use that kind of reminder right about now.” Her absentminded twirling of the blade restarted while her attention focused on the ale. “Dealing with the big shots that bad today?” A snort of laughter came from her. "I would've rather read my personal comms to Yoda.” It was her friend’s turn to laugh. "Even the steamy ones with your captain?" "Yes, even the steamy ones with the attached pictures.” A beat passed. “There are no steamy ones with my captain. Who is not my captain despite your insistence. Jabiim was a temporary assignment.” “But you kept in contact?” A smile spread across his face. “Sounds like something to me.” “Anything is something to you.” Things took a shift back to petty, boring gossip. While it was less of a danger to his personal well-being it did nothing for his career. She was sleeping around. The Kiffar looked like he knew a thing or two about sleeping around. It was something they shared with three-quarters of the Senate. But, that failed to him any real credit. What he need was something with more substance about a breech of the chain of command and broken chastity. “What actually happened?” More red wine was poured into his empty glass. It rose higher than a typical pour in anticipation. “The Senate are nothing but hut’uun.” There was a pause followed by a bitter peal of laughter. The word mention something to her. “They really are just a bunch of karking Hutts with more palpable looks when you stop and think about it. The same cowardice and greed runs throughout. Every damn one of ‘em is lying when they say they care more than their pockets. If they cared, they’d really do something. Three sips of wine passed. “Military spending?” “Among other things. The whole bunch is so withdrawn from this war they’re making us fight. Instead of trying to solve the underlying problems it stays on the surface. While someone bitches about us needing more bacta.” This was a line of thought he prayed they would follow. A Jedi, of known name, railing against the Senate could get him something. From the looks of it she was only just winding up too. A deep sighed proceeded, “I don’t want to ask but I do. How out of touch are we talking?” The blade spun faster through her fingers into a silvered blur. “Overall, they don’t know their asses from their elbows. The more specific examples could not be cleansed by fire.” Her countenance went dark. “I overheard a conversation that boiled down to wanting to know why the Kaminoians charged so much for replacement parts. Since whatever they were producing was defective if it died so easily.” Tanned knuckles whitened around wine glass. Everything in his posture shifted into a defensive mode. “I’m sorry.” “Parts,” the rest of her ale was gone in a flash. The glass clattered onto the scarred table top. “Not soldiers, not troops, not even clones. Just parts. Pieces in a machine to be replaced.” A snarl crossed her face, “Meat droids as far as they’re concerned.” Ementior consciously had to stop himself from vibrating in excitement. It would never make into onto film but there was something in the air. A dark tension that clanged like credit pieces in his mind. Whatever rant he anticipated was nothing compared to what he had. Every side would have something to say. “Those are men. Living, breathing men who never got a damned choice to fight in this war.” A note of fury worked into her voice while long ears pinned back. “Even with our brevetted ranks we still got a choice. It was leave the only home you’ve ever known or fight but it was a choice. They did not.” More mauve flooded her face growing nearly red in unbridled anger. “The Grand Army of the Republic is fundamentally built on the backs of slaves and no one gives damn. But, everyone pro-Republic is fine with it because it’s not their people dying. But, I care because it’s mine.” The knife twirling stopped when it was stabbed into the table top. “They’re a slave army of Mandalorian blood and I care. Because we’ve never meant a damn thing to any of these people unless we’re their attack dogs. Order included.” Mandalorian. They were Mandalorian. She was Mandalorian! She called them a slave army with the venom behind every word to mean it. Seven hells she went after the Jedi Order too. This was not gold. No this was an untapped spice mine of career starting potential.

So, I’m messing around doing a few things right now and could use a main task. Ask me things about my OCs. Seriously, spam my ask box about them. Request things. 9. Do they believe that they are destined for greatness?

Erkan’s likes to play up that he’s clearly destined for greatness but it’s just a joke. Overall, he doesn’t think the Force or Fate or what have you, looked at hime and decided “This One will move mountains”. He lucked out and got the Kiffar ability to touch-read objects, some kick ass cooking skills, and a fantastic grasp of healing. For him, that’s more than enough. The people he knows at the ones destined for greatness.

13. Do they have any nicknames? Which are their favorite and least favorite?

Kan seemed to be most people’s default for him and he’s fine with it.

Boc’ara (Ryl for Idiot: “Smart like a Rock”) and Boc (Ryl for Stalagmite or Rock Column) were both used by Master Vokara. They became his cue for if he was doing well or if he was fucking up something simple. Now that he’s grown, he’s fond of both because, “I’m your idiot, Master.” And what’s nicer than your Master deciding you’re so big already you’re a rock column?

Solus calls him Mir’sheb (Mando’a for Smartass) and he can’t argue with that one.

14. Who are their current best friends?

Erkan is rather popular with several friend groups scattered around various points of the Temple. His absolute favorites include Aayla, Quinlan (which is half friendship/mentorship), and as of late Solus, Lumi, and Jazari. They were unexpected but not unwelcomed additions. He does agree with whoever called them a set because you can’t really get one without the others.

Summary: Erkan reflects Post-Order 66.

Erkancould barely focus through the pain of the blaster wounds. But, theywere all depending upon him. Jazari…Solus…Lumi…all of theothers he spent over a month defending in the Temple’s cavernousdepths. All people who had put their absolute faith into him time andagain before the Madness.Back then he had worked to save their lives.It was the same in this moment. He wouldnot-no could not-falter.

Bodypropped against the stone wall he took a deep, jagged breath. Force,his mind, body, soulached. Death called out to him with a sweetoffer. A soft embrace that would lead him into a pain free afterlife.He wasso tired of hurting…so tired of everything. So much war and painplagued their Galaxy. Therehe would be reunited with so many people; Master Vokara, his fellowhealers andKnights,even the familiar facesof the Council would be a welcomed sight. All he would have to do wasgo tosleep.

Drawingin another breath Erkan pushed the pain into the Force. His achingbody dulled while his mind found new clarity. A part of him expecteda crashing fear at his impending death. Instead, he only found calm.Not the meditative calm he worked hard to reachas ayoungling. Nor even the near trance he found while healing. It feltmore like the quiet before an unmatchable storm broke. Somethingthat rested heavy on the skin before rain would pelt down andlightning lash out in release.

Erkansmiled. Only nowdid he understand the high Lumi and Solus chased betweenthe stars.

Gaspingthrough an unignorablespasm he tried to distract himself with the future. It was rare forhim to give it much thought. What would come to pass, would come topass. There had never been any use in worrying about more than theimmediate. It was possible to play long gamesfor things decades out. But, he never found the urge to try. Only thehere and now could be fully known. Yet, nowall he had were hopes for the distant future. Wouldthis be the end of the Order or a rebirth in capable hands?

Itwill be a Rebirthhis mind huffed out in a half-daze. Aslong as there’s an idea there’s hope. Solus’favorite quote told you that. Every youngling,Padwan, Knight, and Master carries the spark to relight the Order. Itwon’t be the this particular Order but one will spring back up.Scattered among them is the knowledge and more than that the drive.The Force has grown dark but it will notabandon us now.

Laughinghurt, even throughventedpain,but itwas impossible to stop. Erkan had never been one for philosophy. Butleanedagainst Death’s Door he decided to pick up a short-lived hobby. Ifthe Force would have granted him more time maybe he could have becomean regular Qui-Gon Jinn. That would have been a fun life. Galavantingoff half-mad on an impossible journey, bending the rules atever turn,then preformingthe impossible time and again.That could have been a life indeed.

Tentativelypushing out with the Force to feel he sobered up. Everyone's’signatures had faded into ghosts. Good. They hadescaped this pass.

Bootsechoed down the hallway causing him to sigh.

Lightsaberlaying across his lap he waited for the white armor to appear in thedistance. One flick of a switch would plunge his blade into the bagnestledagainst his right leg.Beyondthe sheer amount of explosives (sourcedfrom between those three stars)they had tampered with his Kyber Crystal. Whenhe went, it would be in an awe inspiring blaze of glory. It wouldalso be a warning to Sidious that they would shake the worlds outfrom beneath his feet.

Shoutingechoed and he heard blasters raise to fire.

Erkanlooked at his lightsaber and flicked the switch to see the emeraldgreen for the final time.
