A small piece of (poet and author) Erlend O. Nødtvedt's Vestlandet is like poetry to me (he also reads it out loud in the song Lysne by Erlend Apneseth Trio). A clumsy translation of it:
like a sledgehammer, like a sledgehammer it goes against stone, Anders Lysne drives the sledgehammer against the stone, a wedge in the rift, an arc above the head, the long movement slowly in the air, first fast straight towards the stone, the sledgehammer against the surface, the clank between the mountains, spark, small stones splash against the eyes, dust up the nose, stone chips in the eyelashes, the muscles tear hour after hour, dull clank, up arc clank, the slabs divides, tumbles, a slab tumbles, collects in a heap, the slabs tumble, small rockslides, slabs, up arc clank rockslide, and then clack when the slab takes the last leap and becomes a heap, Anders Lysne eats from the krotakake leant against the sledgehammer, Anders Lysne drinks from the beer leant against the sledgehammer, green and wet in the neck before again up arc clank, tumbles, heap, the sledgehammer a walking stick, he leans against the sledgehammer and takes the snuff horn, stone dust in his nose, a crash from the cart, up the steep path the marble block sticks out, it breaks through the planks and tumbles down the path, and the marble breaks its knee, Anders Lysne's horse, like a birch, like a twig, with the same sound Anders Lysne breaks his leg, and the horse kneels and the horse stops the marble block and the horse's howl, in the arc of horsehair, the horse's howl, I cover my ears, the horse crushed beneath the king's marble, and Anders Lysne takes the sledgehammer, up arc but not clank, a duller, monstrous sound, he must drive the sledgehammer into the horse's head, he must be on site kill his own horse with his own sledgehammer, below the horse's ear there lives a temple, Anders Lysne howls as the sledgehammer arcs, as the sledgehammer completes its arc and is driven into the horse's temple
oohhggghg my god i love it

steinspon i øyevippene, musklene river time etter
time, dumpe klank, opp bue klank, hellene deler

I did some photos in a fake sunset of Erlend Apneseth Trio because Bergen failed to provide any. It was a lot of fun because I had no control of the light! Their music is really original and mesmerizing, check it out here
