ok so i kinda went crazy here cause it’s almost 2 am and i said “hey there’s an idea i’ve had for going on 3 years that i keep saying i’ll animate and never do.” so i finally did.

this is for a very very old au, it’s actually the first au on this blog and has 1 story; which is karlnapity. I won’t go into all the lore and stuff but i’ll link that story here for those of you who weren’t here in 2021, it’s how they ended up together in this au <3. Basis is Sapnap is a human, Quackity is an avian, and Karl is an Ermine hybrid borrower.

That's Vino!! ^o^ He's one of my Egg Empire ocs!!

Vino is the head of a tavern called "The Egg Pub" somewhere near the edge of the Eggman Empire. It's a well known spot for mercenaries, villains, and outlaws to come hang out. And despite the type of characters you can find there, Vino runs a very tight ship and makes sure hell doesn't break loose.

Before being stationed at the tavern, Vino was formerly Eggman's right hand. At first Eggman tried to ignore the annoying tanuki following him around but he eventually agreed to let him stick around- as long as he was useful, of course. Vino was a great factor in what is considered Empire territory in the present.

Vino's last mission was tragic. On an island raid, he faced a mysterious force that almost made him perish. He managed to be recalled and the raid was drawn back. Due to injuries (Vino still has to deal with them; the scars on his arms), Eggman forced him to retire. The tavern was set up sometime after. An idea from Vino to give him at least something to do.

Other Fun Trivia:

He's adopted two kids. Pine the Marten, son and apprentice who currently works for the Empire- and Sienna Songbird, daughter and a popular singer songwriter.

He is afraid of magic, anything related to the chaos emeralds, and anything arcane.

Vino still refers to Eggman by his real name, Ivo. To show they have history.

Vino still hasn't forgiven Eggman for retiring him. It's a touchy subject between the two and they try to not bring it up while they hang out.

The trio he was apart of back then was with him, Eggman, and another oc Digit the Ermine.

The Egg Pub's location used to be one of Eggman's hide outs. Vino lives in the apartment upstairs.

@\bunniibones helped me come up for Vino's name! I was looking up bar terms/words and "Vino" stuck out since it means "Wine", and his color pallet is wine like so.. Yea! :3

Wine's not even his drink of choice, it's whiskey LMAO.

Speaking of bunniibones, I have an oc ship with them! Fortino- their oc Mr. Fortune the Opossum, and my Vino :)

Despite being a tanuki, Vino has no abilities related to tanuki folk lore.

Been brainstorming ideas about my mc so: will Camelot have a historically accurate fashion or more of a fantasy one? A bit of both??

I'm going more for lore accuracy here (unless it's something completely whack, like I don't care what Le Morte d' Arthur says, we're not having "England" in fifth-century Britannia) which isn't terribly historically accurate, but I'm jamming in as much historical accuracy as possible. When lore accuracy directly conflicts historical accuracy... then a fae did it.

Those fairy-tale style castles (like Camelot) that won't exist for hundreds of years? A fae did it.

That horribly anachronistic full plate armor that all knights are wearing which won't be possible until the High Medieval/Renaissance period? A fae did it.

If it's historically accurate (like the swords now called 'Migration Period') than the humans made it, if it's lore accurate and horribly anachronistic (the knightly/arming swords) then the fae did it.

Regarding fashion, the upcoming Camelot flashback section will have good descriptions for both the normal wear of men and women during the time depending upon who you end up meeting on which path (although I didn't go full Wheel of Time level of description with describing every embroidery stitch).

The fashion is mostly historically accurate with me throwing in some of the lore stuff that gets popularly described (samite, hosery, surcoats, "long cloak lined with ermine").

So mostly...

Men: slit tunics with sleeves + braies (tight breeches if its going under armor)

Women: peplos gowns over long-sleeved tunics

Hooded Cloaks fastened with clasps/brooches on the shoulder

Clothes dyed in various colors/stripes/chequered

Bright colors, embroidery, fringed fabrics, jewelry, and long braided or styled hair

Bronze/silver/gold torcs of twisted metal for the nobility

Lots of brooches/clasps everywhere

Shoes: soft leather boots, slippers, sandals, raw cowhide, simple turn shoes

Soldier Boots: Made from thicker leather and studded with hobnails

Irish (not called Irish at the time): long léine tunic, short inar (ionar) jacket/tunic, broc (breeches), later trius (trews)

they're called team endgame because they operate in silver’s ruined future alongside my other character, promise the ermine (who is star's half-sibling). their inception is very much tied to sonic 06 lore because i adore sonic 06, which is kinda unfortunate given that the game was all but retconned out of existence lol. but in #MY canon, iblis/mephiles still remain but for whatever reason are unable to be united again to cause a world-ending apocalypse. the main gist is that promise is a mephiles-derived bioweapon intended to combat iblis (basically a project shadow ripoff), and the rest of the team operate like silver does, doing shenanigans to stop the future from being ruined however they can. ember was originally an iblis counterpart to promise, but i decided i didn't really like that idea so he's just a guy with very inconveniently-bestowed fire powers lol. he meets crystal and star, the latter of whom offers him a job as an anti-apocalypse agent (subject to change, but a future GUN-ish organization, just not as centralized due to um. the world being on fire). star was born and raised in the organization, having never known of her half-sister, and crystal is a childhood friend who decided to hang around for fun and to beat shit up!

as stated before, ember has fire powers and is the fastest of the group, making him the speed-type (i changed his species from a hedgehog to a solenodon for a more distinct silhouette, and because the 'sol' part is a nice nod to his fire powers, but he retains some of that classic hog speed since solenodons are closely related to hedgehogs irl!)

per her name, crystal can mineralize parts of her body or create diamond-esque armor to shield herself or dish out damage. she primarily uses crystal gauntlets to brawl, making her a perfect fit for the power-type. it was fun creating an updated design for her since whisper (and to a lesser extent, infinite) gave me a good idea for what canines in the sonic universe would look like! i really wanted to give her big ol' ears and a pointy snout like whisper has. her hair and tail are fluffier than a normal wolf though, sorta like snow as an homage to her OLDDDD design that was an elsa-type winter witch

star is an ermine-hedgehog hybrid but her hedgehog traits show more to the point where she was unaware of her heritage until meeting promise. i lovee the headcanon of amy being a hedgehog-echidna hybrid, so star's design is with that in mind. however, as you may have guessed, star isn't particularly speedy, and is primarily a flight-type hero who uses her specially-made hover boots to fly around!

(side note; promise doesn't really have a type mostly because they don't fit neatly into one thing and i find the sonic heroes categories annoyingly reductive despite what my avid use of them may lead u to believe.

Okay here’s baseline Mothman marvel oc lore (subject to change)

I simply love them and cannot stop thinking about them

They’re the real actual mothman of the marvel universe, all the mothman sightings still happened and it was them

Their “real” name is Emry Ermine but they mostly go by Em

They’re a lab experiment grown from moth and human dna by some evil group which i haven’t decided on rip

The lab they were made and raised in was busted by superheroes for evil crimes and they escaped in the chaos

They lived in the woods for a while after

Their abilities are flight (obvi), enhanced strength/durability, wall climbing, and precognition

Precognition means they can sense if something bad will happen in an area or too a person. They can sense severity and get minor insights on what it could be (sometimes), but mostly it’s just a bad feeling

This is why they get spotted places before disasters, they would try to stop whatever was gonna happen but often couldn’t. This is also why the general public is scared of them

Because they were basically rescued by superheros they’re a big superhero fanatic

Has a parasocial relationship with Spider-Man, and any other bug themed superhero but mostly Spider-Man

Thinks that the bug themed heroes could be actual bugs like them. They’re like 55% sure Spider-Man is an actual spider

Eventually got their shit together and now lives a relatively normal life, relatively

Works as a website programmer

Basically nocturnal, sunlight tends to hurt their eyes if they don’t wear thick glasses

Has a severe coffee addiction, literally always drinking an ice coffee

Made a superhero costume because they’re a huge nerd and started wearing it around for funsies at night

People started thinking they were a superhero so they just committed

Because of their precognition abilities they can sense where something bad will happen and usually just waits around to stop it

They can also get a bad feeling about a person either because something bad is going to happen to them or they’re gonna do something bad

Will then just spend the night following the person around, sometimes in secret and sometimes they’ll just hang out with them

Meets quite a few other heroes and villains doing this and is not chill in the slightest

They don’t particularly like fighting and prefer to talk to people or find some other solution

If they have to fight they prefer to backup someone else

They are on one hand extremely online but also pretty gullible and inexperienced with day to day things. They mostly spend their time on superhero forums, coding forums, and random Wikipedia articles

They love all bugs and will cry if you kill one in front of you

Tends to stay quiet but will talk nonstop when excited

Almost always goes outside in costume because people are a lot more comfortable with a superhero than with a big old moth creature

Is often spotted at the grocery store in costume

just a post of thoughts and headcanons about lysandre's team bc i've been thinking about that and now when i think about stuff i'm like "oh i can post about it on tumblr dot com"

lysandre's team is by and large royalty-themed which makes sense of course! no particular order to tackle them in just vibing

pyroar is the pokémon usually associated with lysandre in official merch and the likes. his hair was definitely styled to be reminiscent of a mane. the imagery is straightforward: lions are associated with kings. there's the whole "king of the jungle" thing ofc but also lions are associated with english royalty in particular. the lion association is probably also what influenced him having a 4:1 female/male ratio of scientists.

i tend to write litleo as being lysandre's first pokémon, given to him as a child as a family tradition. this would be how malva got hers as well.

the nickname "Orléans" probably doesn't require much of an explanation; it's a name associated with the french royal family. if you want bonus lore about it though, i actually partially stole it from a movie called Marquis which is about a talking dick and involves terrifying puppets, one of which is a lion named Orléans. i have not seen the movie.

gyarados is lysandre's mega-evolved pokémon. i find this fact fascinating for many reasons, some i will explain shortly. magikarp's japanese name is koiking and its design is definitely kingly. interestingly, it mostly loses these attributes upon evolving, which might make it seem like an odd choice for a royalty-themed team. i have shared some of my thoughts about lysandre's gyarados in a previous post, but i will touch on a point i haven't discussed yet (here at least. i've talked about it a bit on twitter.)

even disregarding shipping opinions, it's plain as day that lysandre and sycamore were created as counterparts. thematically, they are linked respectively to death, despair, pessimism, destruction, the color red (yveltal) and life, hope, optimism, creation, the color blue (xerneas.) imo the fact that lysandre's key pokémon is blue and associated with the opposite type to his other main pokémon (water vs fire) isn't a coincidence. we can only speculate what it means, i suppose, but i find it very interesting.

i tend to write magikarp as being lysandre's second pokémon, usually because his litleo caught one and lysandre rescued him as a result. (him having a cat and a fish is also kind of funny...)

the nickname "Charlemagne" probably doesn't merit an explanation either. he's a frank king. it's a long name, which fits a long pokémon.

mienfoo/mienshao is an ermine, which are linked to royalty because of the fur, mostly, although it also relates to heraldry. it's definitely lysandre's most underrated pokémon imo.

i haven't actually written about how lysandre and mienfoo met much! i tend to see him as being his most recent pokémon. rescued by sycamore and kept at the lab, he takes an interest in lysandre. maybe i'll write about it in more details someday.

the nickname "Pyrrhus" comes from King Pyrrhus of Epirus from which comes the term "pyrrhic victory." it also means "red-haired" so there's that. i don't think either of those require much elaboration.

it's not the first instance of murkrow/honchkrow being linked to a team leader, and it's pretty unsurprising, considering honchkrow's whole deal is being at the head of a murkrow gang. in french its name even contains the word "boss" (and in english, of course, there’s “honcho” in there as well.)

the link with royalty isn't as straightforward at first, but my personal theory is that it relates to Odin and his crows. there are a lot of references to norse mythology in pokémon xy, most notably irt the legendary trio, so it doesn't seem that far-fetched. Odin is tied to death, war, and royalty (among other things.)

i also have never written about lysandre meeting his murkrow. i like to think they ran into each other in some of his later travels, maybe before he met sycamore in lumiose.

the nickname "Léon" doesn't actually have any interesting story behind it! obviously it relates to lions, but i was actually thinking of the fact that in french people say that a peacock's cry sounds like "Léon"... how this relates to murkrow/honchkrow, don't ask me, but it stuck.

Ok, since I haven’t made Kraken yet or even the Sky Witch that I named Arrow, I’m gonna go ahead and do some fun facts/likes and dislikes for them both

Tide:

• 17 years old sea otter

• Decided to make him male

• Has a snake Talistrum named Leviathan

• Pansexual, aroace, he/him pronouns

• Leviathan’s jewelry form is choker

• All water witches can naturally breathe underwater

• First spell was when he made a glass of water levitate and make fun shapes with it

• He has an older sister and a brother with the same age as him

• Loves surfing, his friends, beach parties, volleyball, mysteries, music, chicken soup, coral reefs, hanging out with Arrow

• Hates Eggman, Jade’s bad mood, water pollution, anyone harming any water habitats, not being able to help Sonic with his water fear

Arrow:

• 17 years old falcon

• Trans man (figured out at the age of 14/15)

• Has a lioness Talistrum named Bow (Ha. Bow and Arrow)

• Bisexual, demiromantic/sexual like Ice the Ermine

• Bow’s jewelry form is a ring

• All sky witches can control the weather/temperature

• First spell was when a heatwave hit, he (or in this case she because this happened as a kid) was able to make a cool breeze and helped cool off some people

• He has a mom and a little sister named Mist

• Loves flying through the air, adventure, his family and friends, tension (in a good/shipping way), hanging out with Kraken, making theories about stuff (almost like Sticks the Badger), sunny days, grilled cheese sandwiches, watching Savanna messing with Espio, Bow playing with the other Talistrums

• Hates Jet, Knuckles when he playfully punched him too hard, his little sister in danger, Rouge trying to steal their Witch’s Pearls, anything girly, wearing a very tight binder, not being able to fly

So that’s it for now. And once I complete Kraken and Arrow, I’ll be doing a full Chaos Witch group edit. Kinda like how previews are made for introducing a new character for a movie/game/show. Plus, I figured that not all witches have to be women, so I brought some men in this group, because why not? Mermay 2023 - René(e) the Fighter - 1

The Armorican Peninsula is a strange and wondrous place, a mist-shrouded land full of magic and mystery, where the mortal realm of Bedouar and the timeless vastness of Faerie coexist side by side, the great veil ripped apart by uncontrollable magic, causing time and space to collapse into disarray.  Unearthly fog rolls in, cutting off travelers from where they came and pure magical chaos rolls across the region in great storms.  Fortune can be found in the borders of Faerie to the brave and the lucky, death for the foolish.

The treacherous coast of the region, the Ar Mor Bras, is no stranger to these twists of fate, home to the lost city of Ys-Beneath-the-Waves and its accursed princess, Ahes Dahut.  Throughout the ages, some individuals find themselves caught in the whirlpool of magic surrounding this mystical site, and are drawn in by the phantom bells of the sunken city and the enchanting, enticing song of those trapped by its curse....

Back in 2019, I launched a special series for Mermay, an art project to develop a small, but important part of the lore of Alvez, the world of Kroashent.  The Marie-Morgane of Ys-Beneath-the-Waves are one of several merfolk races of the world.  For this project, I decided to "adapt" each of the Dungeons and Dragons Character Classes into a character as they may appear in Alvez, then transform these characters into mermaids with art and short stories!  Since then, I've been working hard on developing the world and the characters who live, there, even writing an ongoing novella, Kroashent: Bal des Loups, which you can read the first 3 chapters right now, for free!  A lot has changed as I worked and some of the art and stories seemed like they could use an update!

Next up is René(e), an idealistic knight from a minor family with dreams of love and adventure.  Compared to the Rozenn the Druid and Ailinor the Cleric, René's design had much less changes, but did have some cleanup and general streamlining.  I'll admit, I went back and forth on this a lot.  René's story takes place roughly 1000 years after the Fall of Ker-Ys, almost contemporaneous with the the story of Kroashent.  René's armor is something that would still be in regular use for the region.  I debated giving it a completely new design to line up with the more "modern" uniforms of the Windguard (Closer to what Enora wears), but decided for a footsoldier like René, the chain and tabard would still be commonly used.

I'm also proud to point out, this is the first time ever I've made/used a custom brush set, for the Ermine field on René's tabard!  Still needs some fine tuning, but a useful tool!

What if I want to gush about plots that I have in mind but never have the guts or the opportunity to approach them?

AAhhh. I have too many plots, and only a vague idea on how to execute them, let alone finding others with the wherewithal to write them with me, but here goes. (warning, a heavy Dragon Age bent to most of these) More fall out and personalized angst concerning time in the Fade. Any time in the Fade, because the Fade would be so upsetting, even without the eye-strain of "conventional" Fade impositions. Something that spins out of Dragon Age style banter. I'm one of those freaks who just plays those youtube compilations of ALL the Dragon Age banter. Its so fun if you love the characters, and you get so many hints of lore that would never otherwise come up. Like the fact that the export of Nevarran ermine is illegal in most places. The fact that Nevarra is presumably quite arid given it's latitude on the map, and that they have their own species of ermine, let alone wear fur is a wellspring for people like me who think about logistics, the ecology, and particulars of fashion. Lots of arid countries have frigid peaks. Maybe ermine is endangered. And maybe they don't use the word "endangered" in the world of Thedas, but they have SOME concept of threats to species that are on the brink. I mean, it wouldn't be a foreign IDEA. Thedas has already seen the extinction of valued animals like Griffons, and are currently witnessing the extinction of Dragons in real time that humanoids are causing. Sorry about that tangent, I just love thinking about this stuff. So yeah. Threads spinning off in any direction from banter. Anthony taking someone back home to Ostwick, and then Nevarra. Anthony taking up his new residence in Kirkwall and the other muse visiting him or even showing him around. And GOD DO I WANT TO SEE HIM USE THAT KEY TO MOVE THE GIANT HARBOR CHAINS IN THE NEXT DRAGON AGE Something concerning LOTR. I have probably a much too angsty, much too detailed verse where Anthony is one of the few surviving rangers of arnor. Oops, he was probably in love with Halbarad, and by the time the other muse meets Anthony, he's a broken husk that needs to learn to live again. lots more, but I'll cut this off here for the sake of anyone browsing the dash.
