Those of you that know me, know I take great pleasure in restoring vintage and antique clothing. I often find magnificent pieces that are too delicate to machine launder and require spot treatments and often several rounds of hand washing. I am in the thick of the most amazing collection I've ever had. 90% of which is being hand treated. About half of it would have been lost forever if it didn't end up in my care. I cannot wait to share these pieces with you. And I can't help but to feel like Nicole Kidman at the end of Far And Away, when she had finally become a hand washing expert. In the warmer months, when I go on my camping trips and treasure hunt along the way, I wash garments in the river or lake by my camp. Hang em to dry on a rope strung between a couple of trees and bask in the sun with em, knowing all the fresh air we are both absorbing. Spring is coming, and with it, these lovingly restored vintage treasures. Well, ain't this the cutest lil pile of stuff y'ever did see☆Sussing out the market mornin routine for tomorrow. I think I enjoy curating my jewelry way more than figuring out what I'm gonna wear. I've really been enjoying the color green lately. Makes me think of spring and that first tinge of verde on the tips of eager branches☆ I want to pretty much live in that copper n jade number from #theartteachercollection , and I decided to go with some green and butterscotch bakelite bangles from the whole new and incredible estate collection I'll have for you next week☆ In the past I've stayed away from 'borrowing' from my stock, but as of late, have been enjoying wearing pieces from these two estate collections.     Zingara Vintage joins Artists & Fleas for a month long residency, kicking off the first weekend of April with the return of The Art Teacher Collection, a painstakingly restored estate collection containing the most whimsical vintage spanning from the 40s through the 90s and ranging in sizes from 6 to 12.   The weekend of the 8th and 9th will mark the arrival of yet another estate collection, coincidentally, also belonging to an art teacher.  This collection contains wild and classy vintage amassed from all over the world and includes romantic pieces from the 30s & 40s as well as modern vintage from designers like Alice & Olivia and Ralph Lauren. Also contained in this spectacular collection are the most magnificent accessories. Dozens of bakelite bangles, insect brooches, turbans and hats, lucite bags and Pucci scarves.    Summer is quickly approaching and Zingara has got you covered.
