Jamie shuffled slowly into the room, a mug pressed firmly against his chest. His face was scrunched up into a yawn, the heel of one hand rubbing against his eyes, and he ambled blindly into the room, his footsteps muffled by his fuzzy slippers. The Doctor could have sworn those had been his slippers, once upon a time. Jamie must have carried them out with him one morning, and never gotten around to returning them. He should have been irritated by the thought, surely. It certainly shouldn’t have warmed his chest. “Hello,” Jamie mumbled at last, blinking sleepily up at the Doctor. “Did I wake ye?” Given a few more moments, he might have – but Jamie didn’t need to know that. “Ah – certainly not.” Pushing himself up a little higher, the Doctor rolled his shoulders, easing out the stiffness in his back. “Hello, Jamie.”

A few months into their travels, Jamie has made a habit of visiting the Doctor's room after a nightmare. The Doctor wonders just what it means for them to find comfort in each other.

So I don't have too much to share. But I do have a few bits, so here we go: 1. not truly one, but truly two, Chapter 3

Joo Won cannot and does not suppress the scoff that radiates up from a scornful corner in his gut. The photograph was from a handful of years back, taken as part of an overtly calculated coverage of LPRA’s donation to a children’s charity. Of course, it was done purely for publicity and Joo Won still remembers how - almost desperately - his father wanted him to be in attendance for such a high-profile event.  But alas, Joo Won couldn’t attend. How could he, when he had been stationed on another continent? Such glaringly crucial details are often deemed insignificant in Han Ki Hwan’s eyes, especially when it is his pride that blinds him so.

2. gargoyle (affectionate) [working title lol. not really, it's just what i've named the doc] (beyond evil)

The day was still in its infancy, petals wet from the morning dew and the sunshine creeping over the crest of nearby hills. Daytime starlight peppered the sky as clouds transcended across the horizon like blended paints on a canvas: from murky hues of Payne’s grey to periwinkle before mellowing into dusky shades of blushing pinks.  Blushing. That’s how Joo Won presented himself to Dong Sik. The uncharacteristic slump to his usually rigid shoulders were just out of place as his fingers tracing the lavender resting in the undergrowth of the young hornbeam tree. Dong Sik observed him, allowing his gaze to consume the image of Joo Won’s slender fingers caressing the flower blooming in his garden. Calyx and corolla alike are under the full scrutiny of Joo Won’s considered touch.  His hands are going to smell so sweet, Dong Sik muses with a fondness that has long been blossoming.

beyond evil is great on many levels because on one level you have an insanely poetic story about how a tragedy can break a family and then on another level you have another insanely poetic story about how justice properly works and how emotions are so important when it comes to bringing that same justice into reality and then on another level you have a beautiful love story about two men who learn that the other is not a monster but is in fact someone who’s just very sad and struggling with the weight of their families and then on another level you have han joo won’s self-discovery that he’s a kinky slut

Honorable mention if "this year" means "last 365 days" - Glass Onion. Not necessarily because I thought it was one of the best movies ever but I was one of the very few people in the world who got to see it in theaters the day it got released, at like 1 pm, and a) it was THE week Elon Musk took over Twitter, and b) neither me nor any UK citizen sitting there with me could have possibly known about Hugh Grant's cameo. Possibly my favourite cinema experience so far in terms of actually enjoying being a part of the audience and then seeing everyone's opinions about it online.

8 shows to get to know me. This might be difficult and I might scrape for some but here we go

1. Beyond evil

(Aka. The show that fucked me up irreparably. Thanks to @spicyn00dl recomending it to me I to this day am not over how fucking good this show is and will continue to recomend it to everyone )

2. Kinnporsche

(Another impactful one! And quite frankly the one I posted most about! Kinnporsche will always have a special place in my heart despite me fading out of the fandom i will always love them and i know i will come back to ut but for now the barrel is empty and i need to give it a break. [Tho after some... personal problems i might dip my toes into the fic writting world in here just because])

3. Young royals

(Now here is a show i started on the day it aired thanks to my platonic soulmate. I've never watched a show for this demographic that was quite as nice. The fact that it's a swedish show only adds to it for me as i quite literally will attach to anything that feels less american than every other show)

4. Buddy daddies

(Now im still 2episodes behind here but this show caught my eye a few weeks ago and now it's full comfort town. Im a sucker for found family and truly? Kid fics are amazing sometimes expecially when the child is unconventionally aquired so having that in a great show? Ugh sign me up )

5. Black butler

(Now this is my blast from the past. This is probably one of the first animes i watched that weren't Pokémon and every other childhood anime. While today it's not.. quite as good in restrospect the first season has always brought me comfort and it really is a comfort show now )

6. I am not okay with this

(I will never get over this show being cancelled. I watched it just after i got in an "It" obsession so it was quite fitting and i got attached to the characters and just... the vibes, the plot, the characters and relationships? It was fucking great)

7. Another

(Another original let's say. This was the first anime i ever finished. I still adore it and have rewatched it a lot. There isnt a lot of fandom surrounding this but the story is fucking phenomenal, the characters are great and dont even get me started on the fuvking soundtrack-)

8. Merlin

(AKA. my new obsession that i havent quite dived in yet but the show and characters bring me so much joy and frustration it might as well be called therapy )

This fandom is 7 months old and it is one of the most toxic fandoms in existence.

For a show about found family, acceptance and love, the only thing the fandom is interested in is hate. Hating the characters, hating the ships, hating the cast and the crew and hating each other. It is disgusting.

There is not a single justification for the way this fandom treats each other. The way they (it, you, we) treat the crew, the cast and their significant others.

David Jenkins proved on Twitter that at least a few of the cast and/or crew are inside this fandom with us on anonymous accounts. They are absolutely seeing all of this vitriolic dreck that spews forth from this fandom. The fact that he chose to answer a question that so easily could have been a simple y/n but instead used it to say yes he's heard of the most popular SMAU in this fandom and intends to read it, just hours after the author was completely torn apart to the point of leaving Twitter for simply writing it. That's not a coincidence.

This show has been so overanalyzed that what began as simply disliking characters has turned into full on livid, vitriolic hate. And it's all based on interpretations of characters that might not even be accurate to canon. What are all of you going to do if we get a completely different backstory and motivation for characters and it doesn't in anyway line up with what you've indoctrinated yourself into believing? Are your death threats going to shift from other fans and the cast to David Jenkins and the rest of the writers?

Do you have any concept of how ridiculously stupid it is that death threats have been issued to fans and cast members of a fucking television show that is about love and acceptance? Do you people see yourselves? Do you hear what you're saying?

If you are too young or not emotionally mature enough to handle the themes of the show or you are traumatically triggered by something in the show, stop watching it and do not engage with the fandom. Just admit it's not for you and move on. If you get to a point where you can handle it, the show will be there for you to watch.

If the fandom is too much for you, the themes of fanfic or fanart triggering or you're just not able to handle it for whatever reason, either avoid the fandom or start blocking tags and don't follow accounts that don't use tags. It really is that simple.

You DO NOT, under any circumstances, have the right to dictate what other people create or engage with in fandom. You DO NOT have the right to attack creators because you don't like what they create. You DO NOT have the right to attack the cast or crew because you don't like a character, ship or plot point. You DO NOT have the right to attack cast members because of the way they engage with ADULT fans. You DO NOT have the right to attack the friends, family or loved ones of the cast or crew.

Fandom is here for the sole purpose of sharing what you LOVE with other people that love it too.

We have been handed a fucking GIFT with this show. It is literally one of the first of it's kind. A show full of lgbtqia+ characters with a multitude of backgrounds and ethnicities. There's no coming out storyline, no need to justify why the characters are who and what they are. They just are. They exist wholly and completely as they are and they are simply going about their lives. This is the story that we have been asking for, begging for, for literal YEARS. And now that we have it you're destroying it. And for what? Seriously. Why?

Thor: Love and Thunder

I'm a bit baffled as to why so many people hate the movie. Seriously. When it was announced Taika Waititi was staying on as director (after directing Ragnarok) and was going to be writing the script and we were told what the title was going to be, I've had a vision in my mind of what this movie was going to be. What we got is exactly what I was expecting. And I managed to accurately predict the tone and style of the movie without having seen a single thing of Taika's except Ragnarok. Having now learned more about Taika and having seen much more of his work, it's even more obvious what Love and Thunder was going to be.

Love and Thunder is not meant to be a clone of Ragnarok. Thor Ragnarok is easily one of the best movies of the MCU. It has a heavy storyline with humor injected around the edges. Love and Thunder on the other hand is meant to be fun. It has two heavy storylines inside it. A man on a killing spree because his daughter died and Jane Foster dying and hastening the process by using Mjölnir. So to keep the movie fun Taika pulled absolutely insane story elements from the comics and Norse Mythology then set it all to a soundtrack of Guns 'n' Roses (and I fracking love him for it).

Ragnarok is meant to be astonishing. The fight on the Rainbow Bridge overlaid with Led Zeppelin's Immigrant Song is designed to give you feelings.

Love and Thunder is meant to make you smile. That's it, it's designed to make you happy and keep you smiling and laughing all the way through. Even with all the death and kidnapping of children. Stop taking it so damn seriously and just enjoy it. And maybe go watch the making of documentary, it might help you lighten up a bit.
