2024 UPDATE: I had to update the colors and some of the anatomy with the cover and comic pages, too. Feels way more lively! Here's the origin of my world, Continuum, that I will be using in my VCtM story. I had a lot of fun working on this over the last few months!

While looking up stuff about the muses and their part in Greek mythology for Omar and had so much fun learning about them.

The Muses are often referred as water nymphs. They're associated with water a lot because they were born from the springs of Helicon at Pieria by Pegasus when he stepped on the ground. Maybe I would do a mermaid! AU for Omar and he could be childhood friends with the octavinelle trio

The consort for the Muses was Apollo (god of sun, music and arts, etc.) Basically Apollo's entourage and romantic partners, and if you know anything about Apollo he had MANY lovers. Even had a few kids with them like Orpheus, Linus, Hymenaeus, and the Corybantes. There's too many and some may not even be Apollo's kids.

Challenging a greek god will result in you dying, turning into something, or some kind of torture. The Muses were no different. A singer known as Thamyris boasted that he was a better singer than them and challenged them to a contest. After losing, Thamyris was maimed resulting in blindness in addition of taking his singing voice and ability to play music. A king named Pierus had beautiful and talented daughters who he bet could be a match for the Muses. They lost and were turned in either jays or magpies as a punishment. There was also the Sirens vs Muses which was encouraged by Hera (goddess of gods). When they lost the Muses plucked their feathers to make them into crowns, turned white, and fell into the oceans to die. The lesson is simple: don't claim you're better than a Greek god.

There are generations of Muses. The orignal muses were the Boeitian Muses had Mneme (memory), Melete (meditation), and Aoede (song). The main 9 Olympian Muses are Calliope, Clio, Erato, Euterpe, Melbourne, Polyhymnia, Terpsichore, Thalia, and Urania. One source says that the daughter of Aphrodite and Ares, Harmonia, gave birth to daughters who were the next Muses but it is a rare theory.

Here's my interpretation of what the dream world is like. I imagine Moira world's matches her Tinygame console. So I made the sword aquamarine and the leaves greenish-blue and dark blue.

A character i made for the backstory of one of my dnd characters. she was separated from her body by a servant of Zariel due to her involvement in the blood war and wandered toril as a disembodied consciousness, searching for a body to borrow to help her get her own body back. she eventually shares the body of a warforged (one of my dnd characters), whom she ends up in a romantic relationship with. they marry after she is reunited with her body, and fight in the blood war side by side.

Time for an *updated* introduction/writing post! I’m spookykuroneko / Luna Elizabeth and I self-publish my writing as ebooks! I mostly write horror and murder mysteries that involve ghosts, witchcraft, or just people feelin' stabby. There's also always asexual, demi, and lesbian main characters solving mysteries or going up against the spooky horrors.

At the moment I have four stories out, and they're all free download on Smashwords and other book places, or 0.99 on Kindle!

A Day For Ghosts is my first story, a light-hearted shorter story about a girl name Ellie who one day finds herself with a weird problem: the ghost of a recently murdered girl has become attached to her. The ghost’s name is Arielle, an oddly cheerful and bubbly person who can’t remember how or why she was killed, and together she and Ellie have to solve the mystery in hopes that Ari can move on 👻

Midnight Witchcraft is a horror mystery about a girl named Amelia, who is now in the care of her aunt after her mother passed away. After moving to her aunt’s old hometown, Amelia meets a group of girls her age that claim to be witches. After a sleepover of witchcraft and storytelling with them, people the girls don’t get along with begin to die in crazy ways, and Amelia suspects one of her new witch friends is playing with magic… 🌙

Eerie Eden is a horror tale about four different girls: Eumelia, Moira, Annie, and Morgan. A death in their school brings them all together, and when a little friendship begins to bloom, they learn something that connects them: they’re all having strange dreams about the same woman, who calls herself Eden. The dreams are nice at first, giving the girls an escape from the pain of their everyday lives, and Eden offers them to stay. When the dreams turn into their worst nightmares, and more people around town begin to die, it turns out that Eden will go to great lengths to make them stay… 🐈‍⬛

Twelve Candles is a murder mystery. It's Violet's twelfth birthday party, and her classmates decide to play a cruel prank with rabbit masks and knives... that ends with death. The mystery goes unsolved for eighteen years, until Violet Woods returns to her old hometown of Twilight Falls nearing her thirtieth birthday, and ends up meeting all her old schoolmates again. She decides to solve the mystery of which one was the killer at her birthday party back then, which brings the killer back to their old tricks... The story is told from Violet’s perspective, but wanders back to eighteen years ago each chapter to the view of one of her classmates, showing that each kid from back then had dark secrets, and maybe even reasons for what happened... 🐇

this isn’t really an ask about your characters but the world they’re in. You have things like springlish and summer and autuman and I was wondering about those they mean?

I AM HONORED I would love to answer stuff about the world they live in because I spent literally a whole semester working on it—

So basically this world is called Continuum! There are 5 countries:

Springland

Summeria

Autumnest

Winterna

Chūtral

And you’d be right to say that each one is based on seasons! Chūtral is the only one that actually goes through all four like our world.

I had to put down at least 5 rules to follow by in this world. After reading rule 4, you’ll notice there are different languages! This is mainly because of my small nitpick I have with stories that focus on traveling the world and how they… don’t come across any language barriers or other languages in general. Each country has a local language from our world (because I cannot come up with whole languages on my own)

Springland - English

Summeria - Swahili

Autumnest - Spanish

Winterna - Inuktitut

Chūtral - ASL

To get REALLY into it, we can talk about the Higher Beings and the Blessings they brought to each country!

Starting with the two main Gods of the world — Eumelia (the Goddess of Music and Life) and Rue (the God of Silence and Death). Long ago, the four seasonal countries were going through their darkest times. The Spring was full of sickness and plague; the Summer nothing but arid desert; the Autumn stuck with marshlands and mud; and the Winter having merciless cold. Eumelia grew tired of the suffering, wanting nothing more than joy and celebration for the people. She wanted fun, wanted LIFE! So she blessed four humans, one of each country, with gifts.

Cassindra, healing; pure waters for the Spring

Wian, growth; healthy plants and shade for the Summer

Teresa, stalwart; solid earth for the harvesting Autumn

Abram, warmth; cozy fires for the Winter.

The central island, Chūtral, was created when all four humans, or “Stems” as they were called by Eumelia, got together and shared their gifts. And when they felt they had done all they could, they returned to their lands and gave their blessings for futures to come.

That’s a rough summary of the origins of Continuum!

What’s that? “What about Rue” you said? Haha, not much is known about Him don’t worry about it ;P

I hope this works as an explanation! Feel free to ask more if you want, I always love talking about everything. I sure hope this made sense. Thank you for the question and giving me an excuse to ramble about my creation!

I'd like to nominate my name saint, Saint Quitterie and her NONUPLET SISTERS that are also all martyr saints Eumelia, Wilgeforte ,Gema ,Genebra, Germana, Basilissa, Marica, and Vitoria.

Quitterie and her sisters have a very fervent local cult in the south west of France, Spain and Portugal and she's the saint to call for against headaches, rabies and various mental illnesses. She has a crypt in l'Aire-sur-l'Adour with a sick roman marble sarcophagus and a TWO springs of fresh water x)

HOLY MOLY THAT IS A LOT OF SAINTS. I'll add them to the list - not sure if they'll make it to the final bracket with all the 'big name' saints we've been getting, but I'll see what we can do!!
