Lizzy Hail; 5'3 or 160CM

Lizzy's small, but mighty. Her mum's short too, so not knowing who her father is, she assumes she gets it from her mum.

Booker Reed; 5'10 or 177CM

Booker is in the upper end of height for a Fey. When he shot up in his early teens, he enjoyed lording it over Lizzy for a while, and it's where the habit of slinging his arm around her shoulders originated.

Nameer Khatri; 6'0 or 182CM

Nameer is exactly one inch shorter than his best friend, Andric, and it pisses him off. I think he'd have tolerated it better if there had been a bigger gap, but that one inch is so negligable, it irritates him.

Andric Roche; 6'1 or 185CM

Andric doesn't really think about his heigh much. It is what it is. It's why Nameer's only brought up his irritation once. The genuine look of confusion on Andric's face had been enough to deflate Nameer's whining.

Cara Evelyn; 5'6 or 170CM

Cara wishes she was taller. Mainly because she hates being forced to look up at people. She's fought long and hard to be respected in her kavian training classes, and she thinks if she were more imposing she wouldn't be underestimated or dismissed as easily.

I can’t help but love you

Oh my god I woke up this morning and my Stardew Valley meta post had almost 150 notes????? Hello?????????? Anyways I started writing this last night because @moon-is-pretty-tonight left nice tags on the original so thank you so much!!

We know from the starting scenes of the game that the farmer's grandfather loved Stardew Valley. So why did he leave? Pelican Town is a good place to grow old; George and Evelyn are just fine. It's a fine place to raise a kid, but maybe he just wanted to raise his child closer to real schools and other children.

Or maybe, just maybe, he understood.

Was there a day when he was in his thirties where he looked at his friends and realized they weren't like him? That he could run faster than them, work longer, explore deeper into the hidden places of the valley?

Was there a day when he went to the wizard to ask him for help, for knowledge if nothing else? Did he learn then that his family was different? Special? Chosen? And how did he react? He couldn't possibly raise a child in the valley if they would be as strange and fey as him. He had to leave. There was no other way.

But years later, on his deathbed, did he regret that choice?

Is that why he gave the farmer the letter?

Is that why they went back home?

When the farmer steps off the bus that first day, the valley is still on the cusp of winter, just barely tipping over into spring. The flowers are starting to bloom, but a chill still hangs in the air. As soon as the farmer's boots touch the soil there's a change. The air gets warmer. The trees get greener. Not by too much, not all at once, but it changes.

The junimos watch the farmer as they do their work. They're new to farming, but take to it with frightening speed; their first batch of crops is perfect. None of the townsfolk tell them that parsnips don't normally grow in less than a week, that cauliflowers don't grow to be ten feet tall, that fairies don't visit when the sun goes down and grow potatoes and beans and tulips overnight. The junimos talk amongst themselves in their strange, wild language, and agree: this is the one. They're back. The valley recognizes its own, even when they've left for a generation. The farmers have come home.

Things change fast in the valley. The community center, empty and decrepit for so many years, is rejuvenated. (Lewis says it was abandoned only a few weeks after the farmer's grandfather left. Strange coincidence, he says, that it both came and went with the farmer's family.) The mines and the quarry, similarly abandoned, are explored for the first time in ages. The town becomes cleaner, brighter, more vibrant, happier.

And it is happier. Not just the environment, but the people. It's the talk of the town for weeks when Haley does her first closet purge. Leah's art show in the town square is a huge success. Shane's smiling for the first time since he moved to the valley. All of them, when asked, say it's all thanks to the farmer.

People love to ask why Lewis didn't fix the community center on his own. Why Willy never repaired the boat to ginger island. Why Abigail or Marlon never went down to fix the elevator in the mines, or why Clint didn't fix the minecarts.

But isn't it so much more interesting to ask how those things were there in the first place? How they got so broken down? If the stories the townspeople tell are true, the valley was once a beautiful place, flourishing and full of life; why did that change? When did it change?

Was it when the farmer's grandfather, the locus of the valley, its chosen representative, left town?

And if so, what happens when the farmer comes back?

Audiodrama Sunday 7/28/24

Last week I was busy on Sunday and didn't get a chance to do a write-up, but I still have my notes from that week, so this is going to be a long one.

To start off, the last 3 episodes of @lostterminal have been really good. Oni not having a concept of the physical world was so interesting, I love the worldbuilding this season. It was really cool how Seth compared him to a mycelium network. Also, CO is a great character, it was fun to have him back, and the stuff about spaceship design was very cool.

I finished season 2 of @itmeblog's InCo. The worldbuilding with the immortal soldier-gods was very cool. Also Alula is haunting the narrative nearly as much as Evelyn did in The Pasithea Powder. Space operas about not being able to get over losing someone my beloved (also check out Second Star to the Left). At the end of the season, the heist was really fun, Hatov did such a good job. Excited to start season 3.

The new episode of @midnightburgr was crazy. Starting from the beginning, I love a good Gloria speech, and David is a fun character. The french bit made me realize how many cognates french-english have. I know nothing about French but I was able to half tell what was being said. Then the ending was insane. So much happened in so little time. We definitely figured out what the harbinger of doom from Welcome to the Horizon is, I love how the two shows overlap.

@worldsbeyondpod this week started with a bang with the third real fight scene of the campaign. All 3 of them were so badass, it was so interesting how Suvi was unable to do harm. After that, the identify spell was so cool, possibly my favorite moment in the campaign. Then the reveal at the end! Brennan gave the players exactly what they need to destroy (or add to!) the coven. I wonder what they're going to do with it.

In @worldgonewrongpod Malik is really going through it. "Zoom call with the fey" is such a funny premise but awful when you actually consider the repercussions. I love that the writers wrote their fey consultant into the episode.

For @breakerwhiskey I saw that the show had ended and needed to catch up. I can't believe it took me this wrong to discover the best way to listen to this show, from your car radio driving down an empty road late at night. The ending with all the audio messages was so cool, I loved recognizing the names of so many other audio drama creators in the credits. I'm really excited to see where the show goes from here.

On a recommendation on here I listened to Childish: The Podcast Musical. This show has a truly insane premise, a world where college RAs are a well-known and respected group, and are much more important than they are in the real world. This show was really fun, some of the songs were super catchy.

There was a new Skyjacks: Courier's Call this week! I was hoping for new episodes every week, because that's what they did for the last season, but it looks like they're doing every two weeks. Kieran having a ghost buddy is really cool, I'm interested in her coming back later in the campaign, especially since Kieran sacrificed the bone whistle.

Mission Rejected this week had Chet Philips become President of the United States, which was totally expected but still fun. After the opening credits, Bowden and Gloria being hunted for sport was incredible. I love how this show constantly brings back one-off villains. I already posted about this, but Skip ordering a Monte Cristo with a side salad was a really clear reference to Midnight Burger, which I loved. And of course, the Admiral is back with a new insane scheme. We're halfway through the season and Skip and the gang don't even know he's back from the dead again yet.

That's all for this week(and last week). Hopefully next weekend I'll have enough time to not have to skip a week again.

Okay so basically it's bloodborne but I'm swapping in ace attorney characters and changing a few things around so uh here are hy silly ideas/thoughts and feel free to dm me or reply with more ideas/questions if you wanna yap with me lol

Things aren't going to play out 1-1 with the game just because the ace attorney characters and their relations to eachother make that uh kind of difficult. For example, instead of the mentor & apprentice/ father & daughter relationshipof Gehrman and Maria (thats how I interpretit anyways), Pheonix is going to be Mia's apprentice, and he learned everything from her instead of the other way around. That's a relativelylight example but there will likely be more extreme examples. There will be something there that fills a similar role but not the exact.

Anyways, the major character swaps right now are:

Those are the ones I have thought out but they are also subject to change. I'm undecided on what to do for the Chapel Dweller and the rest of the Oedon squad, the suspicious beggar, Rom, and Valtr for Bloodborne characters (as well as others I mightve forgotten), and I want to try and include Pearl (might swap her w/ trucy for the Doll role, still thinking on that one), Kay, and Sebastian if I can find a place they fit well, as well as some other side characters like Will Powers, Adrian Andrews, etc etc. We'll see what fits where though.

Certain human (or once human/human like) characters will likely remain the same like Queen Yharnam and Queen Annalise because it would be weird to change them, and all the great ones would stay the same as well.

As for weapons & outfits, most NPC's will keep their normal weapons and clothes (with maybe some small tweaks & color changes to match them a little better) with the exception of trucy if she stays as the doll and Maya & Fran, who each will have their own player character builds (who I might go through the game with to test out if I get bored lol).

Franziska: she's going to have the Old Hunter's outfit (with a few minor swaps & the hat switched to the Yharnam Hunter gear). Her weapons are going to be the Threaded Cane (obviously) and hunter pistol at first but she might switch to the Evelyn or another gun later (idk though I never mess with the guns much lol). She might also grab another weapon as her secondary (maybe beasthunter Saif or Rakuyo) but I'm not sure on that yet. If she uses any hunter tools it'll probably only be Old Hunter Bone & Beast Roar. Basically primary dex build with a small risk of beasthood (bc werewolf Fran.... 😳).

Maya's is going to change a little more with her having a strength/arcane build (I feel like it makes sense with the spirit channeling stuff lol). She's gonna start the classic Sawcleaver until she gets Ludwig's Holy Blade later and eventually the Holy Moonlight Sword (might completely skip the holy blade depending on how I decide they progress). She's not really going to have a left hand weapon but instead is going to have a lot of the arcane hunter tools, specifically ones like augur of ebrietas, call beyond, etc (she will get them in like their normal places though). I'm still thinking on her outfit in the beginning but I think eventually she picks up the Choir Set or Executioner Set (leaning towards Choir atm though).

I have a bunch of like other plot things I'm thinking about (why they're in yharnam, great one interference, how the doll happened w/o it being mia, you know).

Anyways this was a lot of yapping that I'm probably just gonna talk about again if I post the doodles so yeah. May the good blood guide your way squad.

Day 2: New Beginnings

Summary: Evelyn is helping Feyre get ready for her mating ceremony with Tamlin, her brother, while the two soon-to-be sisters-in-laws have a little talk

Feyre sat in her vanity, wearing a grand gown, something so beautiful that she was sure it could blind someone. Her nerves rose high as a maid combed through the knots in her hair, and another cleaned her face before she would start her makeup.

Her heart had started to beat faster until a wave of calm rushed through the mating bond, the mating bond that attached her to her High Lord, to Tamlin. Another pulse of love went through her, She smiled a little, at the golden thread that she had seen after her neck was snapped, at the golden thread that she had grabbed onto to keep living, for the High Lords were able to bring her back. She had woken up with her side of the bond snapping, finally feeling the bond that had always been there for herself.

She sighed at the pulse of love that flowed through to bond to her heart. "Wow, Feyre you look..." Came Evelyn's voice from the door to her room, "So lovely. That dress fits you do good."

Feyre smiled hearing Evelyn's voice, the voice of a nightingale, her features soft that had hid behind the dove mask she was cursed to wear now free. Evelyn's brow furrowed slightly seeing Feyre's state, "Oh, you look slightly troubled."

Evelyn ordered the other's out and stood behind Feyre, taking the hair brush and resuming to comb her hair, "What's upsetting you, Fey?"

Feyre sighed, "This all just... Feels too much, like, the party and everything."

"Well, Feyre," Evelyn similed softly, "If you take my advice, I think this is something needed, with all the negative things that have gone down recently."

"But you don't have to do anything, you know that right?" Evelyn chuckled softly, "We've all suffered a lot of trauma just few months ago, Tamlin wouldn't force you to do anything. Ever."

Feyre looked up a little shocked, "Wait, what?"

"Yeah...?" Evelyn sounded confused, "Tamlin's only doing this because he thinks you want this. You don't even have to have a ceremony for a mating bond, just a Priestess will do."

Feyre moved her hands to hold Evelyn's hand to hold her back from touching her hair, "So... I could just go to his room with a little cupcake and he will be alright with it?"

"You could even say you want to wait for a hundred years and he would agree because It's what you wanted." Evelyn smiled looking at her soon-to-be sister-in-law through the mirror of her vanity. "This is about what you want. You both idiots thought that the others wanted a big party. A grand celebration for your mating bond."

"I mean... You two do have to hold a party for the Court as High Lord and High Lady of Spring-"

"High Lady?" Feyre cut her off, turning in her chair to look Evelyn with wide eyes, "But Tam said..."

Evelyn nodded, turning Feyre back and resuming doing her hair, "Yeah yeah... 'There are no High Ladies' and all that." She mocked her brother's voice, making Feyre chuckle

She began to braid Feyre's hair from her hairline and went down slowly, "But that was before he had a talk with his dear little sister." Evelyn smirked to herself, "Someone had to talk some sense into him."

"I just let him know that if he's the most powerful man in the lands..." Evelyn worked through her hair, "... So he could be whatever he wants... One of those things is have a High Lady."

Feyre chuckled softly, "So he wants to make me his High Lady?"

"Well, not just his... All of Spring's High Lady." Evelyn corrected, smiling when Feyre looked surprised, "Oh come on, Feyre Cursebreaker! If anyone deserves to be High Lady, it's you." She shook her strong shoulders lightly with a proud look on her face, "You set this court free, the people love you and respect you for it."

"Hence the giant party that neither one of you really wants." Evelyn snorted lightly at her own words.

Evelyn soon finished Feyre's hair and pulled her up from the chair, "So, future sis, grab a random food item and go get your High Lord."

Feyre smiled, letting Evelyn lead her to the dressing room while she talked, "And we can save this dress for later?"

"Of course, Fey," Evelyn's lip curled in a half smile as she winked. "And you can change into something way better and comfortable for what comes after."

Feyre raised her eyebrows and opener her to speak but Evelyn cut her off, "Ok, that was the last time we are going to talk about anything remotely related to you, one of my best friends, and my brother sleeping together."

"Now go, alright! Do what you two actually want." Evelyn threw a rather skimpy dress from the wardrobe. A smile formed on her lips as Feyre rushed to change and head to her mate's room.

Watching Feyre rush out with a big smile on her face, Evelyn soon rushed out to let everyone that the party was cancelled and hoped the people weren't too disappointed.

While this isn't actually true, I could believe it to be true. She is not a morning person. She relies on coffee to move from conscious to awake. I could believe it.

Untrue! Booker is actually a really GOOD liar. The fact that he doesn't like to, is probably his saving grace, but Booker could excell the two-talking, double-speak, that is natural within the Fey Court.

Cara Evelyn

"Cara will remind others in the midst of chaos how good they're being."

I can see it. Cara's quite a naturally sweet person. If she thought someone needed to hear it, to get them up and fighting again in the midst of said chaos, the words would come easily to her.

Andric Roche

"Andric can drive."

This one is so simple it feels like a cheat. Yes, Andric can drive. It's seen in the first book, and it's important to the plot in book two as Andric's car is the only way Lizzy and Booker can get to all the places they need to be.

Nameer Khatri

"Nameer has chronic nightmares."

Not something I'd thought about but, again, I can see it. Nameer is a kavian hunter. He's very good at his job. But that does mean he's witnessed, and done, some truly horrendous things. But Nameer's also a genuinely good soul, so I think they could definitely weigh heavy on his mind. Might also explain why he's so often laughing and joking, and taking those small pleasures where he can.

Mia Harris

"Mia does not know what sleep is"

This is an interesting one. It's true. Sort of. Mia does work herself to the bone, but it's not entirely willingly. She has a lot of demands and expectations placed on her from her home life. So she pushes, and she should sleep more than she does. And while her attitude isn't naturally the friendliest, all those sharp edges are only eenhanced by the pressure she's under, and the drastic lack of sleep she operates on.
