Wednesday, November 25; 6:10 AM - Ona and Alexia's Room
I was running late this morning. For the first time since the beginning, I stayed up past curfew to study a bit more. Luckily, I didn’t get caught, but it did mess up my wake-up time. I hurried to get ready in the bathroom while Alexia was already in the room.
“Oh crap!” shouted Ale. “Ona, come here!”
“What? Wait a second, or Bronze will be all over me if I’m not ready.”
I finished applying my mascara as Alexia rushed to the bathroom door, smiling from ear to ear. I barely had time to put the mascara away before she pulled me to the only window in our room. I was speechless.
“You’ve got to be kidding me! It’s snowing?!”
“This is amazing!!!” Alexia exclaimed. “Look, everything’s white! It must’ve snowed all night. And we get out early today! Imagine the huge snowball fight we can have!”
“No way! And Bronze wants me to run with her this morning... She’s out of her mind.”
“You’re the one who’s out of your mind if you think you can get out of it.”
We jumped in sync at the voice. I closed my eyes, instantly regretting my words.
“And to your positions by the bed, young ladies? Immediately!” she scolded.
Alexia wasted no time trotting over. I swallowed hard and slowly turned around. She raised an eyebrow, seeing I wasn’t obeying.
“Seriously? You’re going to make me run in the snow?”
“It won’t just be a simple run if you don’t listen to me right now.”
In less than a second, I was in place. One look at her stern gaze changed my mind about defying her. I glanced at her out of the corner of my eye and noticed she wasn’t checking our room but rummaging through my wardrobe. I frowned, assuming she was looking for my sports clothes. I wasn’t wrong when she stood before me with a tracksuit and a thick sweater.
“You won’t leave this room until you’re changed.”
The witch! I sighed, grabbed the clothes angrily, and locked myself in the bathroom. I came out once I was done changing. Bronze smiled proudly when she saw me.
“Can’t we postpone this to tomorrow? I have a test later.”
“No, otherwise, you’ll keep making excuses, and you made it clear yesterday you needed motivation. Guess who’s in charge of your motivation?”
I rolled my eyes. She looked at her watch before looking back at me.
“You have half an hour to eat. I expect you on the field at seven. If you’re not there, I’ll drag you out by your ear if I have to.”
I grumbled as soon as she left the room. Alexia was laughing her head off. She could be happy about not having a supervisor on her case anymore.
“Why does she insist on you running today?”
“She remembered I missed my runs when things were tense between us. She’s determined to get me back on track. I guess she hasn’t figured out yet that I’m not interested.”
She burst out laughing. I only chuckled weakly. I could’ve done without this, especially today. I’m already sleep-deprived as it is. We headed to the cafeteria in the freezing cold. The temperature must have dropped at least five to ten degrees overnight. Until now, my uniform jacket and sweaters had been enough, but not anymore. I was freezing. I was glad when we reached the cafeteria. The meal went on cheerfully, as usual. Everyone was excited because of the snow. I must be the only one who doesn’t like it. It seemed no special arrangements were made for this type of weather. Alexia wasn’t kidding about the snowball fight after classes. I’d have to find a way to get out of it. Once I finished my breakfast, I joined Bronze after the meal. I knew she wasn’t joking with her threats, so I’d better not make her mad. I managed to arrive on the field early. I wasn’t surprised to see her already there. The snow had stayed on the ground overnight, but it didn’t seem to bother her in her run. I, on the other hand, had nearly slipped ten thousand times just on the way from the cafeteria to the field. Bronze smiled when she saw me.
“See, you can do it when you try.”
“Are you going to motivate me with threats every day?”
“Don’t take it that way,” she laughed. “It was the only way to get you moving. You need to clear your head before your test. I bet you’ve been thinking about it since last night, am I right?”
How does she know me so well? My silence answered her question. Thankfully, she couldn’t read my mind, or she’d know I stayed up past curfew last night. I hope she doesn’t notice I’m hiding something because I’m a terrible liar with her.
“Alright, let’s get started!”
I grumbled but got going. She matched my pace so we could run together. I went even slower than usual because of the snow. It wasn’t easy, and now wasn’t the time to break something. Bronze teased me, asking if I was running or trotting like a horse. Since I’m someone who can’t let my pride go unchallenged, I slightly picked up the pace halfway through our route. I regretted it a few steps later when I found myself sprawled on the ground. I heard Bronze laughing behind me. I groaned as I turned to see her trying to calm down, asking if I was okay, but failing.
“Stop laughing, it’s not funny! My back hurts!”
“Really?” she calmed down instantly.
She crouched next to me as I sat up. I groaned exaggeratedly, rubbing my back. I stifled a smile at her worried look. I took advantage of her lowered guard to push her shoulder with a big grin. I immediately lost my smile when I saw that my little push barely moved her.
“This isn’t funny, Ona,” she frowned. “I was really worried! Are you actually hurt or just messing with me?”
“A bit of both. My butt hurts a bit from the fall, but I’m okay.”
“And your back?”
“It’s manageable,” I giggled.
“Hm...”
I didn’t expect her to react so strongly. I bit my lip at the thought she might call me childish. That would offend me. But I let out a surprised gasp when snow hit my face. I barely had time to close my mouth and eyes before Bronze spread it all over. I spit out what got into my mouth, still in shock. I heard her laughing while I composed myself. I wiped my face with my arm to remove the rest. Well... It seems my supervisor knows how to have fun more than I thought. She got me at my own game.
“I hate you!” I laughed, throwing the first handful of snow I could grab at her.
Her laughter intensified as she brushed off the snow with one hand. She let herself fall to the ground, calming down. I laughed too, realizing what had just happened. I never thought Bronze would be capable of pranking me. My face must be bright red now. Anyway, I’m freezing. Snow must have gotten into my clothes. My thick sweater and small camouflaged jacket were no longer enough. I regretted not wearing the T-shirt Bronze had given me.
“Will you be alright?” she teased.
“You’ll pay for this! How old are you to be doing this?” I mocked.
“Okay, you win. We’ll stop for today,” she laughed. “It’s impossible to run in these conditions. Are you cold?”
“Yeah. Tell me, are we allowed to wear our big jackets over our uniforms?”
“Of course,” she smiled.
“Well, it won’t help me much. I didn’t bring any as big as I need.”
Bronze looked at her watch. I didn’t even know what time it was, but I hoped I had at least time to shower. I knew we started running early, so there was a good chance I did.
“It’s only a quarter past seven. Let’s shower, and I’ll bring one of my jackets to your room when I’m done. Is that okay?”
I nodded, smiling. She got up and helped me do the same right after. I was really cold but tried not to show it. We eventually split up to go to our respective rooms.
Wednesday, November 25; 2:50 PM - Math Class
I read through my paper one last time. I had ten minutes left if I wanted to change anything, but I couldn’t find any errors to correct. I really hoped I hadn’t messed up. I spent hours and hours working on it. Besides, Bronze asked me to tell her my grade once it was marked. She would kill me if I brought her a bad grade.
“Those who are finished may leave,” instructed my teacher. “The rest of you have five more minutes to finish.”
Many of my classmates sighed in relief. Chairs scraped noisily against the floor, creating a racket.
“In silence, please! Respect those still working.”
I look at Alexia, who is a bit further away next to me. My teacher had fun separating all the desks to prevent cheating. She's putting her things away. I put mine away as well. Anyway, I can't change much in five minutes. I managed to do all the exercises, so the die is cast now. I put my bag on my back and hand in my paper to the teacher before leaving. I see a lot of dejected faces as I exit, including Alexia's. Is it because of the test? I didn't find it that hard. It was even easier than I expected. Unless Bronze prepared me too well.
- Did you do well?
- Are you kidding? grumbled Alexia. Did you see how hard it was? I'm just glad it's over! He really went overboard with all those exponentials and everything! she added.
- I thought it was okay.
- Are you serious? You're the only one!
- Well, I must have spent at least six hours reviewing it since Monday.
- It's true, you fell asleep with your math book on you last night, she teased.
- Oh, come on! I grumbled.
Well, it's true. I fell asleep from exhaustion around midnight with my book on my chest. I really have to thank Bronze for preparing me so well. She did a great job by having me review everything from scratch. I have a lot to be proud of if I did well. Hopefully, that's the case. I take a deep breath, relieved that it's all over. It was my last class of the day. Alexia is all excited, and I don't think I can hold her back any longer.
- Come on, let's not drag. The girls are waiting for us!
- How can you be so eager to have a snowball fight, seriously? I chuckled.
- But it's fundamental! Don't you like it?
- Not really. Can't I be excused?
- No way! You won't back out.
- At least you'll have an even number, I argued.
- Alba is bringing one of her classmates, and I think Patri and Claudia are bringing people too.
Excuse failed. God will never be on my side. Alexia pulls me outside without giving me a choice. Fortunately, Bronze lent me a jacket and gloves. They keep me warm once outside. I find the jacket better than mine, which I forgot in Barcelona. It has fur inside that keeps me warm. I'm hesitating to buy a new one now that I know better. I might try to negotiate to keep it, or I hope she'll forget about it, though I highly doubt it. It's Bronze, after all. She never forgets anything. I don't know where Alexia is taking me. We just passed through the supervisors' dormitories. I didn't expect to find a large grassy and tree-filled area covered in snow just behind. It starts from one end of the school's wall and extends to the parking lot at the other end, hidden by a row of trees. Everything is white, it's beautiful. The place is already filled with many students having fun in different ways, alone or in groups. I find it surprising that they allow us to have fun here. Many snowmen have been made. Alexia guides us to our group of friends where I spot several unfamiliar faces.
- Ah! Finally, they're here, said Patri as we arrived.
- Sorry, we just finished a test, replied Alexia.
- How did it go? Lotte asked us.
- Too hard! Well... It depends on the perspective, apparently, she said, glancing at me.
I smiled, shrugging. I turned my eyes to the new faces. I feel like I'm the only one who doesn't know them, seeing how Alexia greets them. They seem to know me, though. One of the girls mentions my name while greeting me. It seems my reputation precedes me... They introduce themselves one by one. Ella, Misa, Maya, Laia, and Alessia. That's a lot of names to remember at once. I hope I won't mix them up. They all act differently. Alessia keeps smiling at me while Misa gives me a disapproving look. This whole situation makes me uncomfortable and makes me analyze it. From what I can see, the girls have a lot of spirit and won't back down easily. The battle is going to be tough.
- Well, I suggest we make two teams. Leah and I could be the leaders. Alba says.
- Are you kidding? retorted her sister. Why should it be the two of you?
- I agree with Alexia, Misa supported.I stand back as they start debating which arrangement would be best. I give Alessia, who comes to my side, a shy smile.
"The best thing is to let them argue among themselves," she comments.
"Absolutely," I chuckle. "Anyway, they won't have the final say against Alexia."
"It's true, she's hard to contradict," she agrees.
"Ona, in my team!"
"What did I say," I roll my eyes. "Never would be the right word..."
Alessia chuckles as I join Alexia, who, as predicted, won her position as team captain. Opposite her is her sister, who has chosen Laia as her first teammate. I'm relieved that Alexia asks for my opinion on the next picks. I suggest Leah and Alessia, since the latter seems nice. On the other side, Misa, Ella, Patri, and Maya complete the team. The last ones to join us are Claudia and Lotte. Alexia seems satisfied with her team. I thought we were going to have a little battle, but not at all. Alexia suggests we split up to find a "base" to prepare and come up with a plan of attack. I sense this game is going to be anything but fun. The two groups disperse into the small forest. Alexia finds us a big tree to hide behind. I crouch next to my roommate to prepare ammunition. I would do anything for her.
"Did you see the first girl Alba chose?"
« Laia »
« Yeah. She's my ex."
"Really?" I say in surprise. "What happened?"
"An overprotective sister who ruined everything, if you ask me," Alessia chimes in from across us.
"Because of Alba?"
"Yeah, among other things. She's friends with Leah here. They've been together in class for three years. Laia and I got together in our first year."
"And then Alba the savior threatened to beat her to death if she touched her sister."
I widen my eyes at Leah's revelation. I look at Alexia for confirmation. She just shrugs in response. I didn't think it was that serious. I understand better why she doesn't want to tell her about her instructor-turned-girlfriend.
"Why don't you put her in her place? You have the right to have relationships."
"You think I haven't tried?" she sighs. "We always end up fighting because she won't let it go."
"And you care too much about her, so you don't want to lose her."
Poor girl. I'm sure Alba doesn't even realize it. Because of her, her sister feels obligated to hide her new relationship from her. If I were in her shoes, I'd rather calm down than not know my sister is in a relationship. Well, with Joan, I still have plenty of time to worry about that.
"Enough with the balls," she says, standing up.
I admit we have plenty of ammunition already. I stand up too while Alexia discreetly looks behind the tree. I peer over her shoulder and spot Alba watching us a few meters away, also behind a tree.
"Should we pair up and take them from each side? One girl and one guy. One holds the ammunition, and the other shoots. How's that sound?"
"I'll pair up with Leah," I say without hesitation.
She smiles, approving our partnership. Alexia pairs up with Lotte and Claudia with Alessia. We each go our own way, trying to stay hidden behind the trees. I decided to hold the ammunition. I'm a terrible thrower.
"Why should I be the one to shoot?"
I giggle, thinking I’ve definitely chosen my partner well. She seems as motivated as I am for this stupid game. We're arguing about who should hold and who should throw when I’m already holding the balls in my arms. We stop when we're attacked by flying snowballs. We quickly locate the source. It's Alba and Ella - if I remember her name correctly - mocking us from not far away. I guess we weren't very discreet this time. Leah quickly reacts and sends a missile right into Alba's open mouth. Now it's our turn to laugh. We quickly take cover behind a tree, throwing snowballs at each other. Alba enjoys shooting at me since I can't respond with my arms full while Leah continues to attack them in turn. Our ammunition runs out quickly, so we decide to retreat. Our opponents don't seem to agree as they chase us. Finally, we abandon our initial plan, and I attack with Leah, both of us making our missiles. We try to lose them among the trees, but in the end, I just lose Leah . I sigh, seeing no one chasing me. Alba was following me, but she's no longer there. I try to hide to catch my breath. Bronze's punishments are taking a toll on my cardio. Maybe I should reconsider that jogging suggestion. It's always better to run for fun than be forced to do twenty laps as punishment. I jump when a hand touches my shoulder. My hand instinctively goes to my heart.
"Sorry," giggles Alessia. "I didn't mean to scare you."
"What are you doing here? Shouldn't you be with Claudia?"
"And you with Leah?"
"We lost each other trying to shake off Alba and the brunette... Ella, I think?"
"Yes, that's right," she laughs. "I lost Claudia while escaping the others too."
Alessia moves closer to the tree to look behind it. Meanwhile, I’m still trying to catch my breath. I don’t even know if Alba caught up with me, but I think she did. She probably has better stamina than I do.
"Is someone chasing you?"
"Alba. Do you see her?"
"No."
I signal her to be quiet, and we start preparing some more ammunition. We leave our hiding spot. We find Alba more easily than I thought. We chain her up before she has time to realize what's happening. For the first time since the start, she's the one fleeing. I chase after her, not worrying about Alessia, trying to keep up with her pace. She's much faster, so it's hard. I try to throw snowballs at her, but I miss more than I hit. At one point, she stops abruptly to face me. She smiles while her chest rises and falls irregularly. She shows her hands in surrender. I'm not buying it. Alessia catches up to us. We simultaneously throw our last snowballs at her. I smile, seeing mine hit her squarely, unlike Alessia's, which lands much lower. She ducks to avoid it. My smile fades when I see who my snowball accidentally hit. I don’t even pay attention to the second snowball that must have perfectly hit Alba. I freeze in fear, imagining what's going to happen next. Her eyes are closed as if she’s absorbing the impact. The girl with her is laughing hysterically. I stifle a laugh, remembering her expression. My amusement fades when her eyes lock onto mine and her deep voice resonates through the forest.
"Ona Batlle! I hope you can run fast because if I catch you, you're in big trouble!"
I don't take this as a joke. I turn around, using Alessia for momentum. I weave through the trees, fleeing from my pursuing supervisor. I find the edge of the small forest, trying to maintain distance, but it’s no use. I lose my balance when she grabs my arm, pulling us both down. We roll in the snow before stopping further away. Bronze is quicker and pins me down with her weight. Realizing the mess I'm in, I muster my last strength to try to break free, but Bronze tightens her grip with one hand while the other shoves snow in my mouth. It’s the same scene as this morning. The difference is she’s holding me so I can’t struggle. I hear laughter in the distance, but I can’t tell who it is. Bronze laughs too as I spit out the snow. Opening my eyes, I see her cheerful face, now sitting on me.
"Are you okay?" she mocks.
"All this for a simple snowball?" I say between coughs.
She laughs, reaching towards my face. I flinch, not wanting more snow.
"Let me, she giggles. I just want to help."
I remain skeptical, even when she removes her glove. Unexpectedly, she wipes the snow from my face and pulls down my jacket that must have ridden up during our tumble. She stands up and offers her hand, which I accept. I'm completely soaked. I can't feel my frozen body. A gust of wind makes me shiver. I see my friends mocking me behind Bronze. Engen is also watching with an unreadable smile. I stop looking around when I realize we aren’t the only ones who stopped their activity to watch. Bronze snaps her fingers in front of my face.
"Are you listening, Ona?"
"Huh?" I say, startled. "What did you say?"
"Take off your jacket. It's soaked. You'll get sick."
"My jacket isn’t the only thing soaked. I'm completely wet."
Since I don’t react, she unzips my jacket and takes it off. I can't feel any difference because I'm so frozen. My shivering worsens. I try to warm up with my arms, but it's useless. She removes her own jacket and helps me put it on.
"No more playing in the snow for you today."
"Whose fault is that?" I grumble.
"I'm not the one having a snowball fight," she smiles.
"I'm not the one who accidentally stood behind Alba when she was supposed to get hit by my snowball."
Thinking back, I wonder if Alba did it on purpose given the smile she gave me before ducking. She laughs while trying to warm me by rubbing my arms energetically. I let her do it. I don't dare move my little toe because I'm so sore all over from the cold.
- I didn't know you were such a good thrower.
- Neither did I, I snorted. A stroke of luck, and of course it hits you.
She laughs as Engen joins us. She picks up Bronze's gloves from the ground and my jacket that my supervisor had tucked between her legs.
- Are you okay?
I nod to show her that I am.
- Your lips are all blue, Engen tells me.
- You're going to hear from me if I get sick because of you, I grumble.
- Hey, it's not my fault! You shouldn't have played in the snow.
- Are you okay, Ona? asks Alexia, who just joined us. Are you coming back to play with us?
- No, Bronze answers for me. I'm taking her back to your room so she can have a nice hot shower to thaw out.
- Anyway, the others acknowledged our victory by saying that hitting Bronze was the pinnacle, she giggles. Well played!
Even Bronze laughs at the news. My teeth start chattering loudly. That’s the last straw for Bronze, who cuts the conversation short. I have no choice but to follow her and Engen to the dormitory.
- Why were you there?
- To keep an eye out. Things can quickly get out of hand at times like this.
Engen revisits what just happened. She keeps repeating that I should have seen my face when I hit Lucy. She adds that our fall was memorable. I’ll probably remember my first snow day in Manchester for a long time. I’ll laugh about it when I tell the story later. It’s not every day a snowball accidentally hits your supervisor in the face. Engen turns back to her post at the dorms to continue keeping watch. Bronze accompanies me to my dorm, taking me through a back door I’ve never seen before.
- Are these the stairs you used when you brought me to your room?
- Yes. It’s our way to come see you. It’s actually an emergency exit, but it’s never used, so no students know about it.
- I guess I’m not allowed to tell anyone?
- Preferably not. We’d rather avoid having students hanging around this hallway to escape us.
I nod in understanding. This path is shorter for them, saving them from having to go around the building to get to our dorm. I only feel the warmth of the building once we reach the hallway on the first floor. The first thing I do when I get to my room is sit on my bed to try and take off my boots. Bronze helps me when she sees me shaking like a leaf. Even my socks are soaked, even though nothing should have gotten through the thickness of these shoes. I take off my jacket but keep my sweater on, remembering that I have nothing underneath but my bra.
- Take off your clothes so I can dry them and go take a shower, she orders me. I'll get you some dry clothes in the meantime.
- Get me some sweatpants and a big sweater, please.
I take off my pants and sweater while she has her head in the closet. She’s seen me more undressed than this, but I still feel just as embarrassed. I leave my clothes on the floor and lock myself in the bathroom. I take off the rest of my clothes before slipping into the shower. I sigh as the warmth calms my shivers. I stay there for a while, hoping I haven’t used up all the hot water, as my roommate might want to do the same when she gets back. This day has shown me that I’m not used to cold temperatures. Of course, I’ve seen snow before, but it’s extremely cold in Manchester. I also come from a warm country. I was born in Portugal and lived in Barcelona. That says a lot about my weather habits. Once done, I return to my room with just a towel covering me. I’m surprised to see Bronze has stayed. She’s lying on my bed, careful not to get her shoes on it. I bite my lip when I see she’s holding my sketchbook. I don’t like people entering my world without asking permission. I take a deep breath and move towards the clothes she’s prepared and laid out on my desk.
- You’re talented. I especially love this one, she says, showing me.
- Thanks...
- Sorry, she says, noticing my discomfort. It was on your bedside table, and I couldn’t resist.
- Oh, I must have forgotten to put it away then.
- Are you feeling better? Not too cold anymore?
- I’m fine, but I’ll get dressed before it comes back.
- Yep, I’ll leave you to it then. I was supposed to be keeping watch outside anyway. I’ve put your wet clothes on the radiator. See you tomorrow if I don’t see you before then.
We wish each other a good evening before she leaves. I smile when I see she’s thought of all my clothes, even my underwear. I glance at my sketchbook, which she’s put back on my bedside table, thinking I should remember to put it away. I finally gather my clothes and lock myself in the bathroom, not knowing when Alexia will return. In the end, despite being frozen, I loved this day. Now I just have to hope I don’t get sick from all this nonsense. I’m already sniffling ten times. That would be the last straw…

welp, this kinda sucks
I'm currently at odds with the PC that I got a couple months ago, it's started freezing and soft-resetting randomly for seemingly no reason. It would usually be after hours of use that I could chalk up to the memory overloading, but now it's happening as soon as I boot up the frigging thing. And just to make it clear how much I've done on my own to diagnose the problem, our attempts to fix it have included the following:
Limiting startup applications
Running virus / malware scans
Swapping out display monitors
Updating the GPU drivers
Setting a lower overclock profile in the BIOS settings
Swapping out power cables and outlets to check for power surges
So far none of these things have worked and if anything, the issue has just gotten worse in the last two days. Like, it can barely make it to the startup screen sometimes, despite the memory and CPU usage being >20%, there is zero reason it would be the PC overclocking itself just from startup.
Tumblr media
(and no, it doesn't even compel me, i'm just annoyed to shit LOL)
So I dropped it off with the guy who built it (he runs an electronics / pawn shop downtown that's very reputable and well-known so it's not like I don't trust him or anything, he's been building PC's for people in the area for years) and it's now in his care for the next day or two while he tries to isolate the problem. Right now the only thing I can imagine being the problem is the power supply or my display monitor, which is my old Huion Kamvas 22 Plus that still works as a monitor, just not a drawing tablet - but if something's still fucking around in the tablet, it could be causing problems through the PC, maybe.
When I dropped it off with the guy, he went and set it up in his office and came out and told me that so far it seemed to be running just fine, when he asked me if I was doing anything specific I told him it was crashing even after startup so I gave him permission to overclock the shit out of it, run 53879205893 browser tabs, run my games, software, anything he needed to do to push it to its limits and see if he could replicate the problem.
I am terrified if it has to do with the motherboard, because that will be an expensive replacement that will also potentially lead to losing files / installations / etc. depending on how big an issue it is. It could also potentially be Windows 11 having a hissy fit especially seeing as how it's freezing up on startup, but doesn't freeze on the BIOS screen when it loads up in safe-mode after hard resets, so something is clearly happening between the hard boot-up and the startup of Windows 11 itself.
Thankfully I do have Google Drive sync support and plenty of external HDD's that I can back my stuff up to, but with the freezing and restarting getting as bad as it's been, I haven't been able to back anything up, and I don't want to risk doing it manually if it'll just freeze and potentially corrupt my files in the process. So I told the guy to call me if he needed to mess with anything concerning the system storage so that, if he could at least keep it running stable in the shop, then I could swing by and get everything I needed synced up safely before he messes around with anything.
It could also very well have something to do with the power supply itself, the house that I occupy the main floor of isn't exactly built with electric optimization in mind, we've had fuses blow on us before just from running the hair dryer at the same time as the TV, so if it's something to do with the PC drawing too much power for the electrical system here to keep up with, either (hopefully) the guy will be able to instruct me on how to lower and manage that power intake through the PC's BIOS (I believe you can but I'm still a massive noob on custom builds and I don't want to go tinkering with it myself) or, idk, maybe I'll have to get my landlord to drop by again with his electrician and check out the fuses to make sure they're all operating properly. I'm not an electrician either, so fuck if I know at this point what could be going on. I feel like it can't be the house itself because everything else is running fine and it's just become a recent issue, but our city's power grid is also not exactly praised for being good at its job, especially not in the winter.
So yeah, I'm a little - well, a lot - stressed right now, but all I can really do at this point is wait. Fortunately, I have my iPad and also remembered that I still have my old PC, so I've hooked it up, at best if the problem repeats itself on this PC then I'll know it has to do with the display monitor, at worst I'll just be stuck working with my clunky old hardware for a couple days, which is annoying, but it'll get the job done. Fortunately I had the newest episode of Rekindled uploaded to the cloud in Clip Studio so I can still download it and work on it, which was my biggest worry when everything started to go belly-up (next to just, like, having a working PC).
Sooooo yeah. It's annoying, but I'm hoping for the best. Send good vibes y'all, I really could use it rn, between this and slow traffic at work and some other personal shit that's been going on, it's been a shitty few days (╥﹏╥)
And yeah, I'll keep y'all updated on if it affects this week's update, it really shouldn't honestly as most of the work left is doable from both my iPad and PC, but obviously at this point anything can happen so if anything has to be postponed or changed to accommodate the current situation, I'll update y'all as soon as I can! Thanks everyone, y'all are the best, wish me luck <3

nothing wrong with a little self-indulgence
word count: 851 warnings: none !! this is pure fluff notes: shorter post for tonight :) ive had this written for awhile and it's up on my ao3 but i wanted to put it here as well,
Sun shines down on you through the tall bedroom window, gently warming your shoulders. Though the beams feel nice, they’re unwelcome. Barely able to open your eyes in the battle against falling back asleep, you struggle to pull the comforter further up in order to shield yourself from the responsibilities of the morning. Your shifting in bed causes a groan from beside you.
“Don’t tell me you want to get up early today, darling,” Matty whines, eyes still closed. “I was just having the most wonderful dream about my beautiful girlfriend.”
You manage to blink your eyes fully open at this, catching sight of the sly smile on Matty’s face. You push yourself a little closer to him and nuzzle your head in the crook of his neck. “I would rather stay here, but…”
“No ‘but’s.” Matty wraps his arm tightly around you, replacing the warmth of the sun that had been on your back with the heat of his own body. You’re pressed against his chest now, just as he knows you like to be. You take in the feeling of his chest rising and falling gently, the familiar rhythm of his heartbeat. The idea of getting out of bed and getting on with the day feels like a lost cause now.
Matty tilts his head down to press a soft kiss to the top of your head. His lips linger there, allowing himself to take in everything about you; the softness of your hair, the way you smell, the way your legs are tangled with his.
There’s silence for a while, save for the sound of each of you breathing. You’ve fallen in sync with Matty; inhale, hold for a beat, exhale. You move in unison, two halves of one whole. You’re not sure if Matty is still awake at this point. His grip keeping you close to him has loosened slightly, and you take the opportunity to pull back from him ever so slowly as not to disturb his rest. You do this so you can properly admire him in his vulnerable state. You want to envelop his soul in calm and quiet, protect him in the bubble of peace he rests in now.
Your eyes begin to wander all around him, trying to capture every single detail as it is. The corners of his mouth are pointed upwards in an almost imperceptible smile. His lips are parted so slightly; you’ve kissed those soft lips countless times, yet your craving for them never ceases. A few stray, messy curls lie haphazardly on his forehead. His chest is bare, almost beckoning for you to come back to your place against it. And you do. You bring yourself back to his warmth, and when you close your eyes you attempt to burn the image of a sleeping Matty into your mind, keeping it somewhere tucked away and safe.
For the next hour or so, you fall in and out of sleep, yet each time you wake you’re never out of arm’s reach from Matty. His fingers brush against your arm while he sleeps. You mimic his movements, bringing your fingertips to the tattoos littering his arms, tracing the designs. His skin is soft. It’s familiar.
Finally, Matty begins to stir once more. His eyes flutter open and immediately land on you. He follows your gaze out the window; the sun has now undeniably risen. You can’t kick the notion that a responsible adult would have started their day long before now, and Matty seems to sense this within you.
He sighs gently before saying, “We can put off work for today, my love. I know how stressed you’ve been. You can’t hide that from me.” You don’t say anything in response, so he adds, “Let me take care of you today.”
You prop yourself up in bed and look at him. “I have so much to get done, Matty,” you groan and rub your temples.
Matty sits up next to you. He frowns and intertwines his fingers with yours. “You’ve earned this day off, [Y/N]. We can take it slow today. I’ll run you a bath, I’ll take care of all the cooking. You won’t lift a finger today.”
You sink back into the pillows. Matty pulls you to him again, fingers running through your hair. His hands wander down to your neck and shoulders, gently massaging. You sigh happily.
“Just lay here with me,” he whispers.
You concede to this, knowing Matty would never change his mind. And you’re happy to comply. This is safety. This is comfort. Matty presses a kiss to the back of your neck, then turns you so he can leave his mark on your forehead, your nose, your cheeks, your jaw. His kisses are lazy as he reaches your lips. You can feel him smile against you. You can tell as he pulls away from you that he wants to deepen the kiss, to grace your neck with his lips, but he decides not to. That could be saved for another day. Today he holds you, and that’s enough. It always has been.

Time (Joel Miller x Reader)
Time Joel Miller x Reader Warnings: mention of death and sex
Summary: Joel has to face his age. Luckily, you are there to make everything better.
Tumblr media
The rising sun's weak rays filter through the windows, casting an orange hue over the kitchen. Specks of dust dance in the cold air, swirling as you move around to get some coffee. The pot is still half full and warm when you grab it to pour the dark liquid into your mug. An empty plate is left in the sink, probably Ellie, who is already up and about somewhere in the town. There are days when you don't even meet the young girl who is constantly busy with her new friends. You are happy for her. She is almost eighteen, and this is the first time she is the closest to living a life you can call normal in a world that ended before she was born.
Your gaze wanders back to the window, where you can see Joel. He is sitting on the patio, probably trying to enjoy his coffee before the day starts.
You know something is off with him since he came home from patrolling with Tommy a few days ago. He is quiet and more reserved than usual. He barely speaks, and you need pliers to pull an answer out of him, even if it's just a few words. The frown you are so used to seeing between his brows is deeper and more gloomy. The corners of his lips always curl downwards. It reminds you of times when you two barely knew but needed each other to survive.
"Hey," you greet Joel in sync with the creak of the door as you push it open. "Hey," he hums, looking up at you with a slight smile. Even after all these years, the curve of his lips still makes your heart beat faster. "How are you, handsome?" You ask him, sitting down next to him and putting your legs over his lap as you lean against the backrest of the bench. "I'm fine," he hums, sipping from his mug. His other hand is on your leg, smoothing his large palm up and down on the rough fabric of your jeans. "You are up early." "Yeah," you reply. "I missed you." He smiles again, but his eyes never meet yours.
"What's wrong, Joel?" You ask him after a few minutes. Your attention from the empty street turns to the man next to you. "I know there is something you don't tell me." A heavy sigh escapes his lips, but he doesn't answer immediately, and you don't push him. "Tommy wants me to stop patrolling," he says. "What?" You ask back, surprised. "Why?" A grimace contorts his face. "I'm old, love. I'm not as fast as I used to be. My reflexes are..." he grunts before continuing. "Tommy says it would be safer if I would find something else to do around the town." Even though you know how hard it is for him to face his age, you can't help but be happy about it. You always worry when he goes out with other men to scout the surrounding area for infected and bandits. "At least you could pretend you are sad," he says, watching you from the corner of his eyes. "But I'm not," you shrug, putting down your empty mug to hug his arm. "So, that's why you are so glum? Because you want to go out?" Joel scoffs. "The fuck wanna go out," he replies. "It's just... I'm old. I can't fight like I used to. What if something happens, and I will be useless? What will happen when I can't protect you anymore?" Your throat tightens hearing his words. You never really cared about his age or the gap between you two. For you, Joel means everything, and you never really let yourself think about the time passing and leaving you older and older. Frank and Bill come to your mind. "And what will I do here? Working in the greenhouses while other men go out and risk their lives?" You need a few minutes to come up with an answer. The thought of Joel getting older sooner than you rests heavily on your shoulders. "You could teach." "Teach?" He grunts. "And what?" "Fight," you reply. "You could teach the young ones how to fight. Everything I know is because of you." "I don't know..." "But I do," you try to convince him. "And I think it would help the men who go patrolling, knowing the others can fight and protect themselves if something goes wrong." Joel doesn't say yes or no, but he is thinking about it, so for now, it's enough for you. "And your other worries..." you sigh. Your hold on him tightens. "We are a team, Joel. You and me. We will figure everything out in time." "What will happen..." He licks his lips. You can see the distress on him that breaks your heart. You don't want him to worry. He worried so much in his life already. You don't want to be a part of it. "What will you do if I..." You think about Frank and Bill again. "I don't know," you tell him honestly. "And I don't need to know yet. You are here, and you are healthy. Maybe your knees and back hurt, but it happens with the best of us too. And you know what?" "What?" "I think you just seem slower because the others are younger. I'm getting old too, you know? I see younger women wanting to go dancing and flirting after a long workday, and I ache everywhere, and the only thing I want is you and a warm bath." That makes him smile. God, you love that smile. "And..." "Yeah?" He hums, watching you with excitement in his stomach. He adores the mischievous glint in your eyes. "Seeing how sore I am, I don't think you will lose your strength anytime soon." "Oh?" Joel smirks. "And how sore are you? Just because I don't have to meet Tommy for another few hours." He didn't even touch you yet, but you already burn and crave him as you jump up from the bench to drag him up to the bedroom.
Time passes whether you like it or not, but for now, you are here for each other, and in a world that ended long ago, you can't ask for more.

Nightmares – Timothy McGee
Tumblr media
McGee's POV
I walked into work to see Agent Y/L/N already there. I waited for Tony to arrive and grabbed him.
"What's with you?" He asked as he tore his wrist out of my hand.
"Y/N's already here."
"She always beats me here," Tony shrugged.
"True," I sighed, "but she doesn't usually beat me here."
"Oh. . ." He said slowly. We walked over where we could still see Y/N but she couldn't see us.
"What are you two doing?" Gibbs asked slowly as he appeared behind us.
"Y/N got here before McGee," Tony said.
"Oh," Gibbs said under his breath.
"Do you think this has to do with our last case?" I asked.
Our stalking case last week took a bad turn. Y/N and DiNozzo were taking the night shift to protect a petty officer. DiNozzo was parked in front of the house while Y/N was inside. The stalker snuck in through the back window. He knocked Y/N out from behind and tied her to a kitchen chair.
DiNozzo went into the apartment when Y/N wasn't responding to her phone. When he walked in, he found the guy pointing a gun at a barely conscious Y/N. She woke up to Tony shooting the stalker. As we were wrapping up the scene, I noticed Y/N off to the side. Whenever I tried to talk to her about it, she shrugged and said she was fine.
"What do we do?" Tony asked.
"Nothing," Gibbs sighed.
"What?" Tony and I said in sync.
"Boss, she's obviously struggling with what happened," I said, looking at her again.
"Shouldn't we talk to her?" Tony asked.
"You can try," Gibbs said, "but most likely, she'll say the same thing she's been saying since DiNozzo untied her; she'll lie and say she's fine."
Gibbs walked past us and headed over to his desk. Tony and I shared a look before following Gibbs.
"Morning, Y/N," I said.
"Morning, Y/N," Tony repeated.
"Morning, boys."
"Did you have a good weekend?" I asked.
"It was fine," she shrugged.
We went through the day like normal but I couldn't stop looking over at Y/N. I could see how tired she was.
"Alright," Gibbs said, making me look away from Y/N, "there is an apartment downtown. Here's the address. McGee and Y/L/N take the first watch. DiNozzo and I will releave you at 0700."
"On it, boss," I said. I grabbed my gear and went to the elevator, waiting for Y/N to grab hers. Suddenly DiNozzo jogged over.
"Y/N trusts you," he started.
"And?" I shrugged.
"Maybe you can get her to talk about our last case," he whispered. "We're worried about her. She won't talk to me. She won't even talk to Gibbs. Maybe she'll talk to you."
"Everything okay?"
Tony and I both jumped at Y/N's voice. She stared at the two of us and slowly reached around us to click on the elevator button.
"Would you two like to take the first shift?" She asked. "I don't mind hanging with Gibbs if the two of you need alone time."
"I was just reminding Probie Sr. to take care of you," DiNozzo winked.
"I can take care of myself," she sighed as she walked into the elevator. DiNozzo and I shared a look before I got into the elevator with her.
As we got the car and parked it in front of the apartment building, we didn't say anything. A few hours into our stakeout, I looked over, my heart sinking into my stomach when I noticed Y/N was asleep. I didn't bother to wake her up.
Reader's POV I gasped awake, tears instantly in my eyes as I looked around. It took me a minute to realize where I was.
"Y/N?"
I jumped at McGee softly saying my name. He reached over and gently put his hand on my knee.
"Are you okay?" He asked. He paused before saying, "And please, Y/N, tell me the truth. Are you okay?"
I let out a shaky breath as the tears streamed down my face. I struggled to form words so I just shook my head. He grabbed my hand and intertwined our fingers.
"You don't need to keep this bottled up," he said softly. "Talk to me, Y/N."
"It just keeps replaying in my mind," I barely got out. "All I can think about is. . . What would've happened if Tony hadn't. . ."
When I couldn't get anything out, McGee pulled on my hand and brought me into his chest. I let out a shaky breath but it turned into a quiet sob.
"Tony got to you," McGee gently reminded me. "We always have your back."
"I know," I said shakily. "I just can't stop thinking about the 'what ifs' and the 'almost'. He would've killed me, Tim."
When I said his first name, he tightened his arms around me. We sat like that for a few seconds before slowly breaking apart. We looked into each other's eyes, the tension in the car suddenly thick.
"We should. . . We're supposed to be watching the apartment," I said, turning away from him.
"Y/N," he stopped me. "I need you to promise me something."
"What?"
"The next time you have a nightmare, I want you to call me."
"Tim. . ."
"I mean it," he cut me off. "I don't care what time it is. Call me."
"I'm not going to call you," I sighed.
"Y/N, I want you to call me," he said again.
"Why?" I demanded a little harsher than necessary.
"So you're not alone."
I looked at him with tears in my eyes. He lowered his voice as he continued, "You have been trying to go through this alone, Y/N, but that's just it. You're not. You have us. And every one of us has had nightmares."
"Even Gibbs?" I asked, making him smile.
"Even Gibbs," he nodded. His smile dropped as he said, "Promise me you'll call."
"It might be late. . ."
"I don't care," he said, shaking his head. "Promise me."
"I promise."
* * * * *
With tears streaming down my face, I reached over and grabbed my phone off my nightstand.
"Hello?" McGee's tired voice came through the phone.
"Tim," I said, my voice breaking.
"Y/N? Are you okay?" He paused before asking, "Was it your nightmare?"
"Yes."
"Okay," he said gently. "What do you need? Do you want to talk or do you want me to come over?"
"It's 3 in the morning," I stuttered. "You don't have to come all the way over."
"I don't mind." I could almost see the soft smile on his face. "Just tell me what you need, Y/N."
"I need these nightmares to go away," I sobbed.
"I'm on my way."

Summary: This isn't how you thought you'd see the city from above for the first time.
Pairing: Loki Laufeyson x fem!Reader
Warnings: 18+, black mail, non-con (touching and sex), loss of virgintiy, coercion, manipulation, improper boss-employee relations, hidden cameras, power-imbalance, hinted anal sex
Word count: 1.5k
Author's note: And here we have entry number four for @the-slumberparty's BINGO challenge! I can't believe I'm writing so much lately and I am truly grateful to have signed up for this fun little venture because it has helped me write more than I probably have in the whole past year.
I ticked off a single square this time, which is "blackmail" and turned it into a deliciously spicy piece of writing. Enjoy!

Tumblr media
He has you naked and pressed up against the clear glass pane of his office, the streets of the city sprawling in every direction far below you.
His suit brushes up against your bare back, legs encased by his to keep you immobile against the window. Your head is turned to the side, left cheek against the glass, your hitching breaths fogging it over.
“Don't be so difficult, darling,” he slithers in your ear, his warm breath sending a shiver through your already trembling body. “We both know there's no way out of this.”
You try to shake your head no, shame and helplessness scorching your insides. You know calling for help won't do you any good. No one is coming.
“All you have to do is spread your pretty legs and you can go unscathed and with a glowing review on your records once the internship is over,” he says lowly, letting go of one of your hands he'd pressed to the glass to reach around your body and grab at your chest. He lets out a hum and bend down further to nuzzle at your neck.
“No...” you whisp weakly, your now free hand reaching back to bat at his fruitlessly.
“Yes,” the black-haired devil calling himself your boss replies. “I will split your tight little virgin pussy open on my cock whether you want to or not. But it is your decision if the footage of your deflowering is gonna be spread around or kept safely in my pocket.”
You let out a sob and sink further against the cold window. You can't get out of this. You fought with everything you had, shouted for help, bartered for your life with anything you could think of. But he kept on.
Stalking you through his sealed off office like the predator he is, stripping you of your clothes piece by piece once he's caught you and telling you about all the horrible things he wants to force you to do.
“You were asking for it, lovely. So eager to please, jumping at every opportunity to be of use, looking at me with those innocent eyes... Very tempting indeed,” he husks, giving your neck a playful bite.
“And what can I say, when I see something I like, I take it.”
You shake your head again and push back against his hold, but he is stronger than you and just like before, all your effort is for nothing.
“Better accept it, darling girl. I can ruin your reputation with the flick of a finger. I'm pretty sure you don't want all your future job prospects to go down the drain just because you're a little scared to get fucked like you deserve, hm?”
You can't speak. You've gone mute in your shock, mind and body out of sync as the situation unfolds, and not in your favour.
“Come now, let's get you away from the window,” he coos in a mockingly caring tone when he notices your defeat. You silent acquiescence.
Mr Laufeyson steps back, pulling you with him as he walks away from the window and drags you over to his desk. Giving you an unkind shove, he sprawls you over the hard wood, your back painfully colliding with the cold surface while he grabs your dangling legs and presses them apart.
You let out an embarrassed cry and try to close your legs, but he's stronger than you. When you reach down to hide yourself, he gives your hand a mean smack and pinches your thigh until you retract your hand and sag back against the desk with a quiet sob.
“What a pretty little flower we have here,” the raven-haired man praises and you jerk when he reaches out to spread your lips with his index and ring finger. His middle finger flicks down and coyly circles your clit until you whimper helplessly.
“Ripe and ready for the taking,” he muses, sounding all too pleased with himself when he inserts a finger into your barely wet pussy and pushes it as far as it can go.
You twitch and writhe, your body wanting nothing more than to escape this man's unbidden touch. But you can't. He'll ruin you, showing his mistake for everyone to see and still it will be you who reaps the consequences of his actions.
Your hands reach up to grasp the edge of the polished desk with a death grip and keep them away from your splayed body parts.
Your boss keeps toying with you, finding better ways to stimulate your clit and adding a second finger to your quickly moistening cunt.
When you let out a whimpered moan he gives a triumphant chuckle and lets go of your thigh to instead reach up and massage your breasts, squeezing and kneading, pinching your nipples until you cry out and twist your body away from his cruel touch.
Horror bubbles in your gut when you feel a familiar heat rising in your loins and more tears spill out of your bloodshot, swollen eyes.
Your muscles bear down on the man's questing fingers, but just before you can tip over that dreaded edge, he pulls his hand away and gives your cunt a harsh spank that almost has you jumping out of your own skin.
“Little harlot, almost coming on my fingers. If you are to come, you will do so writhing on my cock,” he states and pushes his slicked fingers into his mouth while undoing his belt.
Once they are clean of your essence, he pulls them out and shoves down his pants and underwear until they fall down to his feet and he steps out of them.
You're too dazed and terrified to do more than watch as he unbuttons his blazer and tosses it aside as well before pushing up the sleeves of his dress shirt and reaching your your frozen form.
His movement startles you out of your state and your eyes automatically dart down to the erect cock standing proud between the cruel bastard's legs.
You gulp. That would never fit in you-
Mr Laufeyson pulls you off the desk and leaves you on shaky legs as he slides between the desk and yourself. You can hear the wood creek when he leans just against the edge and you make to turn around to see what he's doing but his hands clamp down on your waist to keep you facing forward and away from him.
You puff out scared breaths when he slides his hands down to your thighs and bends to get a good grip on them before hauling you off your feet and back against his chest, thighs spread wide apart like butterfly wings, baring every hidden crevice usually kept safe between them.
“Wait- wait, please,” you croak out suddenly, your hands scrambling for anything to hold onto but coming up empty in the position he's got you in.
“Shhh, lovely girl, let it happen. I promise you're going to feel pleasure beyond your understanding,” he shushes you.
His body shifts and the raven-haired man briefly lets go of one leg, letting it dangle uselessly while he reaches between you and draws his cock up against your defenceless pussy.
He guides it through your pussy lips, sawing up and down to coat himself in your slick before drawing back and nestling the head just in your opening. Once he's in place, he hoists your leg back up and pushes away from the desk to fully stand on his own two feet while you precariously dangle from him with just the tip of his cock touching your pussy.
“Ready?” he taunts in your ear and you make to shake your head, but the cruel man doesn't wait for your answer.
Instead, he loosens his hold on you, using your own body weight to impale your tight pussy on his cock, forcing your wet walls apart and breaking through the tissue lining your precious entrance.
You let out a howl and writhe in Mr Laufeyson's arms, pained moans and babbled pleading flowing from your deflating lungs.
He doesn't listen. Instead, he slams you down all the way, his tip painfully hitting the back of your tunnel before pulling out and immediately pushing back in without giving you a moment of reprieve to wrap your head around the fact that you've just painfully lost your virginity against your will.
“Oh Norns, your tight little pussy feels like heaven,” your boss groans, his breath puffing against the back of your neck as he keeps moving you up and down his cock, his hips mercilessly meeting your body's motions on every thrust.
“St-Stop- pleaaa- please..” you cry, your words chopped from the rough bouncing of your body. “H-hurts.”
“It'll get easier once you're broken in,” the man grunts, his voice strained by pleasure. “Maybe I should get my brother to help me open up this tight body. He's never been one to say no to a virgin ass.”
...
Ah, I live for cruel Loki. He's such a bastard and it's really fun to write when he's paired with a helpless little birdy. Such a manipulative fucker :D

Could you do mythical reader x Yandere Momo
Potted Plant
Yan Momo x Mythical Reader
[Author’s Note: Reader is gn since I wasn’t given a specific gender
Also you didn’t specify if you wanted a hc or a drabble, please be more specific next time
You didn’t specify what kind of mythical creature so I decided to have a little fun with this. I wasn’t expecting to get my first request so soon but it’s exciting! I hope it is liked!]
Tw: Yandere behavior, abduction.
The outsiders made it and it was everything they dreamed about. Looking at dirtied photos, postcards, and murals were no more. They could feel the breeze, the sunshine on their frames, and see four legged creatures big and small hide in the overgrown greenery. There was always something new to find in every expedition.
Then they found you, with vines like hair and little stems and flowers that bloomed from a layer of your body. They were curious about you and you were curious about them.
You allowed Doc to do some research on you which helped you figure out more about your own species. You were some a descendant of some sort of carnivorous plant although by the time your species most likely finished evolution humans were already long gone and the bots hidden away. You were grateful for the “Outsiders” as they called themselves. Your favorite had to be Clementine, she already had a vast knowledge of plant life which you were grateful for. Zbaltzar was someone you could go to when Clementine was too much. He enjoyed meditating and self reflection as much as you did, especially when both of you could get outside and soak up some sunlight.
Then there was Momo: Peculiar, but in an endearing way. He was very colorful like the flowers that bloomed on your skin and vines. He was awkward and always fidgeting with his hands which was something you didn’t think bots could do but it was cute. Because you hung out with the Outsiders frequently you also hung out with him. Conversations between the two of you felt forced but you didn’t want to leave him out of the conversation!
Then those awkward silences and small talk seemed to melt away. Momo always found ways to make you laugh. While you lounged in a small pond he’d be sitting at the edge talking with you. Soon enough you two began hanging out together without the others, usually with him leaving the slums. You didn’t favor a place without sunlight. Yet he never seemed to mind, as a species of plant origin you were very difficult when it came to your conditions. It was so easy for you to wilt, dehydrate, freeze, and overheat. Momo never seemed to get annoyed about how firm you were about never going down to the slums. There was always a kindness behind his words. Who could have known of his true nature.
And now you were here: locked away in his dingy house with barely any sunlight. When he confessed to you, you should have pitied him and accepted his confession. Maybe you should have ran the first instant you saw the bots. You hated it here. You hated the harsh neon lights, the cold air, the damp smell, and the artificial light. The ends of your vines were fading in color as well curling in on themselves and the flowers that were once so healthy were wilted with petals littering the floor. You body must have been in sync with your mind because large thorns took the place of the flowers you once had. Yet they weren’t strong enough to puncture through metal.
You sat next to the window, soaking up as much light as you could. You hated this. You hated how Momo acted. When he abducted you there was no sort of sympathy, not when he yanked you back to him by your vines and threw you so harshly in his flat. Only to then be the sweet Momo you knew just a couple of hours later. He manipulated you into feeling bad that you were a hostage. Whether he meant it or not didn’t matter. You couldn’t handle him being your only source of social interaction.
You thought maybe if you played along, pretended you loved him he would let you outside but he only shook his head. It made sense you supposed, you were missing with almost all the outsiders unknowing of your whereabouts. So if you were to show up again out of nowhere it would be suspicious.
You could never forgive Momo.
You jumped back in alarm when you heard a quiet thump against the window. Were you seeing things? You had to be. You rubbed your eyes yet the orange tabby was still there, its emerald eyes glistened with an intelligence you’ve never seen in a four legged creature.
With haste you stood up and looked around frantically. Momo could be back at anytime you needed to be quick. You wouldn’t be able to escape through the window but maybe you could send a signal. You needed to be careful, you couldn’t break the window because if Momo came home and saw that the restrictions would worsen.
Once you found a piece of paper and a pencil you began to write.
‘SEND HELP TO MOMOS APARTMENT IM TRAPPED HERE’
As you went to sign your name you heard the front door creak open. Your body moved on it’s own without any recognition from your mind. You slipped the paper through the cracked window and watched the cat sprint off with the note securely in its mouth.
The little kitty was your last hope.

Awe babes thank you so much ♥️ it’s a shitty but common occurrence indeed. can’t not say that 50% of the times i get them, it’s because im not taking good care of myself so babies PLEASE care for yourselves, your well-being and your bodies ✨
Before I get into this, I’m letting you know rn im basing this off my own experience with migraines. And hey, if you dont get them, I’m so happy for you God bless. If you get them, come cry with me.
Migraines are different for everyone (symptoms, severity, how long they last) but mine make me extremely sensitive to light and sound. Everything is just ten times brighter and ten times louder and the actual headache sits on half my forehead, that same side’s ear, jaw and that whole side of my skull. It can hang around for as long as 48 hours. Turning this into a cute little drabble or whatever because cute
__
Tick, tock. Tick, tock. Tick, tock.
Every tick sounded louder than the last, each one thudding in your ears with an echo that felt like it was vibrating inside your skull. You laid there, body curled up on the leather sofa, head tucked under a throw pillow to avoid the purple lights pouring into Matt’s living room as your head continued to pound to the sound of the clock; in sync.
You wanted to get up and rip it off the wall but that meant having to pull your head out from the dark and open your eyes; both thoughts sounded absurd to you in your mind. So, you stayed put, squeezing your eyes shut, willing the sounds and lights to fade away.
What felt like hours later, you heard Matt enter the apartment, slamming the door shut behind him only to hear you groan in pain at how loud the slam sounded in your ears.
Matt’s head tilted to follow the sound you made, quickly figuring out that something was wrong. He could hear your heart pounding, your breathing was ragged, your nails scratching against the fabric on his pillows.
”baby?” He whispered gently, piecing his observations together, throwing everything down by the door and discarding his suit jacket on the opposite sofa.
“another migraine?” he breathed as he bent down at his knees to be level with you, his palm gently resting against your back while your head remained under the pillow.
”it’s so bad,” you breathed, barely a whisper, but he heard you. He swiftly got up to his feet, unbuttoning the cuffs of his shirt to roll the sleeves up to his elbows. He made his way to the kitchen, filling a tall glass with water and finding your migraine medication before bringing it all back to you.
He felt bad having to rouse you from your hideout, knowing exactly how terrible you would feel the second the dark was ripped away from you. “try to get up and take this please,” he said gently, keeping his voice down, “I know you probably haven’t.”
Your head pounded harder as you started to move, pushing the pillow off your head and pulling your head out of the corner of the sofa. A small whimper fell from your lips as a searing pain shot through the side of your head, your eyes struggling to open up.
“it’s so bright,” you huffed, squinting to see Matt’s outstretched hands and taking the tablet and glass from him, “thank you, Matty.”
”I’ll be right back,” he said softly, pressing a gentle kiss to your forehead before he started flitting around his apartment. You watched him through a crack in your eyes, a small smile making its way to your lips as you realised what he was doing.
Matt switched off every light in sight, the clicking if the switches loud in your ears as he moved quickly between them. Next, he placed a roll of thick cloth tape on the coffee table before he made his way into the bedroom, coming back with three folded blankets.
You watched in silent gratitude as Matt taped the blankets to his large windows, making a note in the back of your mind of the need of actual curtains, even if the windows don‘t bother him.
Without a second thought, he made his way over to the clock on the wall by the bedroom and pulled it down, putting an end to its incessant ticking and relieving it of its batteries. A sigh of relief tumbled out of your lips at the absence of sound. Your head falling back against the sofa, eyes shut.
”what else do you need, baby?” Matt asked gently, coming up to you from behind the sofa and placing his palm gently against your cheek.
”blindfold,” you told him quietly, slowly turning your head to the side and pressing a gentle kiss to the inside of his palm, “it’s in the-“
”bedside table drawer,“ he finished with a nod, gently rubbing his thumb across your temple before pulling away to retrieve the black silk scarf you used specifically for this.
He knew it was because no matter how hard you squeezed your eyes shut, it still felt like you could see and it wasn’t dark enough. But part of him also knew you found relief in the fabric squeezing your temples and pushing against your eyes.
He sat down next to you, scarf in hand, his heart aching at the mere thought of you in pain. He reached out and felt for your hand, giving it a gentle squeeze so you’d get up for him tie the silk around your eyes.
You sat up, eyes closed and facing him. “Okay,” you breathed before Matt pulled the silk up to your eyes. As he brought it around to the back of your head, you leaned forward, placing your forehead against his shoulder so the knot was easier for him to tie.
”Tighter, please,“ you whispered against his shoulder.
Matt obliged, pulling the fabric a little tighter around your head, a sigh falling from your lips as he tied it there.
”Thank you,” you smiled, reveling in the darkness you now found yourself in, the pressure around your head heavenly against the pain.
Matt smiled and pulled you close, slotting you into his side, your legs draped over his thighs and your head in the crook of his neck. His hand went up to run through your hair to lull you to sleep, while the other traced patterns onto your thigh. Slowly, you started to calm down, your breathing getting slower and deeper as you started to drift off, Matt not once leaving your side.

Jealousy (Yelena Belova x Reader)
Summary: Yelena has wanted to keep your relationship a secret, especially from Natasha. A party is a perfect opportunity for you to taunt her using Wanda Maximoff.
Word Count: 2,468
Translations:  Printsessa (Princess), Krasivaya (Beautiful)
Tumblr media
Yelena has kept you a secret for a while now, and she prefers it that way. As she suspected Natasha was becoming suspicious of your relationship, she instructed you both to cool it. Well, if you could even call it that. With her, you never knew where you stood. Many things with Yelena weren't clear to you. There was no way of knowing how she felt about you, what she was thinking, or what she would do next. You knew, however, that you were hopelessly in love with her.
Yelena had asked you to keep your distance from her, but that did not mean you couldn't have some fun, right? If she wasn't willing to commit, then why should you? You found yourself at an outdoor party during the summer heat. It was the usual thing for people to show off their cars. The speakers in the truck of an expensive vehicle blared music. You were beckoned by Natasha, who was sitting on the bonnet of her blue BMW X3 SUV as the cars were parked in a circle. You approached her without much caution. If you become nervous, it would be more evident that something was going on between you and Yelena if you avoided her.
"Mommy and Daddy let you bring the car, huh?" You called out playfully as Natasha shot you a look of disapproval, patting the bonnet beside her. As you climbed up beside her, you stared out at the familiar faces drinking, chatting, and dancing.
"Very funny. I see you didn't bring my sister" Natasha reached for a Budweiser, biting the cap with her teeth as she twisted it open while looking straight ahead.
"Why would I bring Yelena?" Your voice was laced with nervousness as you asked. You and Yelena have always been friends before all of that happened!
"Why wouldn’t you?" Natasha responded. During your attempts to assemble your thoughts, everything always went back to Yelena. What did she mean by that?
"A peace offering," Natasha offered as she handed you the Budweiser. Yelena wasn't going to like you drinking, she established how you were a lightweight, but there are no rules anymore; you might as well break them all. Fuck it. Without hesitation, you raised the beer bottle to your lips and took a sip of the crisp as she smiled at you, interrupting your chance to speak.
"For what?" What was she talking about?
"Fucking my sister," She said nonchalantly as you choked on your beer as you were in the middle of drinking. She gently slapped your back while leaning across to help you breathe again.
"I..I don't know what you're talking about."
"You don't?"
"No."
"Huh, that's funny."
"What is?"
"The walls are paper thin. I can hear everything, and I mean everything. Especially your name being moaned-"
"I get it, I get it!"
"I'm guessing El didn't want me to know?"
"She doesn't want anyone to know."
"I've known. I see how she looks at you. She always looks at you like you're the only one in the room. It's cute but she is my little sister so I will be teasing her about it in the near future."
"That obvious?"
"Very"
"She's just keeping me as a little secret for now, I guess."
"You'll have to change that now, won't you?" As the familiar engine rumbled in the distance, Natasha teased you. When Yelena's car was brought to your attention, you and Natasha both drank simultaneously.
"Speaking of the devil," Natasha commented against her drink. As Yelena's arm hung out the window, the yellow Mustang made its grand entrance. Her car stood out like a sore thumb, attracting everyone's attention. Especially yours.
"The one and only" As you shook your head, you climbed off the bonnet slowly, feeling eyes on you already, but they weren't just Yelena's. The eyes of a stranger caught your attention - a girl with auburn hair and green eyes.
"Oh hey! The beer trick with the teeth? Don't try that. You'll probably smash your teeth considering you can barely walk and chew gum at the same time." Natasha grins widely as she calls after you.
"Noted!" Your voice filled with laughter as you acknowledged your clumsiness. As you lifted the beer to your lips, you took a sip. As you watched from the corner of your eye, Yelena had climbed out of the Mustang. Her blonde hair was perfectly straightened between her shoulder blades. Her makeup was applied perfectly. She had a red dress that looked like it belonged in a Lana Del Rey music video. It clung firmly to every curve of her body. There was no doubt in her mind that she was sexy. Dressed up for your attention and your attention only. Without hesitation, Yelena made her way to you and yearned for your gaze, but you declined her.
That didn't sit well with her at all. To get a reaction from her, you would do anything you could to get her to want you. While you walked past her, you tipped your head back and continued to drink. While walking, she looked over her shoulder to see where you were going. To sulk beside Natasha, of course. When you approached the auburn-haired girl, she gave you a look of surprise. As she slowly tilted her head at you, she adjusted her red leather jacket.
"Maximoff.. Wanda Maximoff" She introduced herself to you, her eyes fluttering as she did so. Her smile was soft but loving, and her eyes were friendly but held a wicked streak behind them.
"I'm-"
"I know who you are, beautiful. I've been paying attention, especially to your little blonde girlfriend. The Belova girl, Yelena right?" Wanda commented as her eyes flickered towards Yelena, who was sitting beside Natasha on the bonnet, observing every move you made. You glanced over your shoulder at Yelena, who was mouthing something to Natasha: "What's she looking at?" referring to Wanda.
"That would be her."
"It seems she doesn't like me that much now?" The corner of Wanda's lips curled into a smirk; she didn't seem to mind.
"She'll get over it."
"Me and Natasha go way back. She's already given me the run down on Belova. She's just hung up on you that she realizes I'm not a threat… unless I want to be," Wanda teased you as you raised your eyebrow at her.
"Is that so?"
"Mhm. Want me to put on a show for you?"
"Tempted"
"Come on then" Wanda extended her hand for you to take, and you put your hand into hers. It did not feel right when it wasn't Yelena's hand, but it was worth it to see her reaction. To be closer to the music, you followed her into the clearing. As you giggled, she spun you on the spot, holding the bottle to your lips as you finished it. They seemed to be enjoying themselves to the fullest, with Wanda in on it with Natasha.
Playfully, you wrapped your arm around Wanda's neck as your eyes fluttered to Yelena. Uncomfortably, she had now shifted on the bonnet. While watching the scene play out before her, she tightened her lips. She began to bite the inside of her mouth impatiently. She hated the idea of anyone touching you. Anyone that wasn't her. Yelena's face showed an expression you had never seen before, she was openly jealous of what was happening in front of her eyes.
"I'll give her three seconds before she comes over….one…two…." As Wanda leaned in slowly, she whispered to you, pulling you closer to her. Her breath was close to your lips, too close. From behind, you felt arms wrap around your stomach, tugging you back from the girl with the Auburn hair. You knew who it was by her gentle touch. Yelena. Your Yelena.
"I've got it from here, Maximoff" In response, Yelena snapped at Wanda, who clapped in surrender, bursting out in laughter.
"I was only teasing, Belova. Play nice now," Wanda playfully spoke as she made her way over to Natasha. They high-fived one another as Wanda climbed up on the bonnet beside her.
"You can look but you can't touch, Maximoff."
"Who said I was only going to look, Belova?" Playfully sticking her tongue out, Wanda added fuel to the fire.
"I did." Yelena explained each word laced with her accent before turning her attention to you. Now you're in for it.
"Drinking and chatting up Maximoff now? Haven't I taught you any better?" Yelena's question was directed at you now.
"Seems you haven't."
"Have you forgotten who you belong to, Printsessa?"
"I don't belong to anyone."
"Is that so?"
"According to you, "I don't belong to anyone," You replied bubbly; Your eyes peered up at the green-eyed girl whose lips parted. Observing her tense face, you could tell she was not happy with what you did. Your body was equipped with enough alcohol to make you brave.
"What are you going to do about it, Yelena Belova?" As she scowled at your sudden words, taken aback by your approach, you taunted her. Yelena didn't respond; she remained silent.
"Nothing, you'll do nothing" You rolled your eyes at her, turning on the heels of your shoes as you walked away from her once again.
"I'll show you what I'm going to do about it." Yelena finally spoke, snapping out at you as she quickly caught up to you. Now she was high on adrenaline. When she grabbed your arm, she spun you around so that you faced her. Alcohol could not save you from the intimidation you felt. She leaned in quickly, shoving her lips against yours, grasping your cheek with her hand.
As your body pressed up against hers in need, you swooned at her sudden movement. Lips moving in perfect sync. You craved her; you craved this. It caught you by surprise when Wanda and Natasha started cheering. Your face turned red as you pulled away from Yelena's lips. She whispered in your ear quietly with her lipstick now smudged.
"Lets go somewhere else. I want you to myself tonight. All mine." Her voice was alluring as you nodded at her. She grabbed your hand, tugging you over to her car. As you looked at Natasha, who gave you a thumbs up, you smiled widely. Once you reached the Mustang, Yelena put you in the passenger side, ensuring you secure your seatbelt. Before closing the door and climbing into the driver's seat, she made sure you were safe.
"Where are we going?"
"You'll see" While starting the car, she spoke in a calm and collected manner. The rumbling of the engine begins to soothe you. As you both left the party, you rested your head against the window and gazed out.
"Natasha knows by the way," You muttered.
"I know. I told her before the party but she already had an idea because she could hear us through-"
"The thin walls, she said." Laughing, you finished her sentence as your face turned red with embarrassment. As the world around you began to fade into darkness, you both sat in comfortable silence.
"El?"
"Hm?"
"I forgot to tell you… well.. not that I forgot to tell you but you're beautiful."
"I'm glad you noticed."
"Of course, I noticed. I always notice."
"I was too busy looking at you, Krasivaya." She explained to you as you suddenly turned to face her, your eyes studying her face as she smiled at you. The sight of her filled your heart with joy. As you quickly glanced out the window, you frowned at the sight of where she had taken you. She took the keys out, climbed out, and opened the door as she made her way to you. Suddenly, you felt breathless and scrambled out. You were both alone, just you and her. Her parking spot was elevated so that you could see the night sky from a greater height. You joined her on the bonnet of her car, leaning back as you stared up at the stars in delight.
"Jealous of Wanda then?" You called out to Yelena, who was getting comfortable on the bonnet; she suddenly darted her eyes at you with the sudden mention.
"Me? Jealous? Please."
"So you won't mind if I go back and just happen to dance with her again then?"
"Don't." The tone of her voice was stern and direct, but you took it as a challenge.
"Why not?"
"Jealous doesn't even describe what I felt. You got lucky."
"I got lucky?"
"Yes."
"Why?"
"If you continued your little act you were going to be put in the backseat of my car and I was going to show you who you belong to infront of everyone."
"Maybe that's exactly what I wanted"
"Maybe I should have made that a reality then but you would've enjoyed it too much," She explained as she broke out in a chuckle; the way she laughed made you fall in love with her all over again. She slowly climbed off the bonnet as you gulped, your eyes studying her every movement. She made her way to the front of the car, pressing her knees against the registration plate.
She grabbed your legs, pulling you forward as she stood between them. Her green eyes were wild as they gazed at you; you leaned back ever so slightly so she could tower over you. She liked being in control, and you gave it up so quickly for her. She studied your face; what was she thinking about? You could tell she was lost in thought. Maybe this was your time to ask her?
"Yelena?"
"Huh?" You caught her by surprise as she rapidly blinked; she carefully rested her hands on your thighs as she waited for you question. How you approached it made her nervous, you could tell. The lines on her face had become apart as she frowned at you. For once, she didn't know what you were going to say.
"Why did you keep "us" a secret?" Her entire face changed the moment you asked. As if relief had suddenly overtaken her. As she had difficulty managing her words, she shut her eyes and tried to manage her frown.
"I don't know..I guess.."
"You guess?"
"I guess I was afraid."
"Yelena Belova afraid? I doubt that."
"I'm being serious." Her voice wasn't as bubbly as usual, but it had a sincere tone to it.
“Afraid of what?"
"To fall in love with you." Her hands were adjusted off your thighs so that she could play with the rings. When she played with her rings, you knew she was nervous. She twirled her rings around her fingers.  Since making things official made them real to her, she was afraid that the end result of all this would be hurting you.
"And now?" While you traced your eyes across the beautiful blonde nearby, you questioned nervously. As you watched her slowly turn toward you, you suddenly gulped. She was nervous; it was nice that it was the other way around.
"It's too late I've already fallen."

Solitary Love Chapter 12
Tumblr media
Sorry for the late update yall! 😭 A lot of things have been happening in my life. More like a lot of changes (positive changes) have occurred these few weeks so I was taking some time to adjust but I'm back, baby!
This chapter is the first of many symbolism I'm adding to this fic, hehe~ I hope yall will be able to catch on but I know you guys are smart so I don't have to worry.
Enjoy! ❤️
It had been a few days since your last encounter with the Don. Since then, he hasn’t really bothered you much. These past few days gave you time to learn about your new environment and to think about what you were to do next.
First, your phone.
When Giorno handed you your phone back, you discovered some new things. There didn’t seem to be anything wrong with it aside from your gallery being wiped out and your inability to download and open social media. What surprised you was how your phone had internet access, or rather, restricted internet access would be the correct term. There were certain sites you weren’t allowed access to and even your search history was limited since Giorno blacklisted words like ‘escape, run away, prisoner, police, authorities, missing, kidnapped’. You also noticed how his credit card was automatically synced, meaning you could buy anything and everything to your heart’s content. You figured this was his way of showing his “love” and a means to gain your forgiveness.
The credit card wasn’t a bluff though. Just yesterday you received a package with all the things you ordered. It was all random things from toothbrushes to fidget cubes since you were only testing it but the package that sat in your room was confirmation that it was the real deal. You had access to his credit card.
Second, every escape route has been blocked.
Your room was your prison cell despite the extravagant and lavish furnishings it held. The door is kept locked with a card key and an alarm installed. The card key wasn’t just given to anyone though. While making your observations, Maria was the only maid who carried it on her. Whenever the maids and/or butlers needed entry into your room, Maria is always there to give them access. She did mention that she is the head of the maids in this villa. From there, you were able to deduce that only trusted figures who oversee your imprisonment are given card keys to your room. As far as you know that’s only Giorno and Maria.
Escaping through the windows isn’t plausible either. Your windows were screwed shut tight and to make matters worse, you didn’t have anything in your room to pry them open. Giorno probably took this into consideration when he was planning your kidnapping. Not to mention, the unfortunate floor planning. Even if you somehow managed to escape through the window, your room was on the third floor and you’d most likely sustain heavy injuries from dropping from such heights.
Third, there is always someone watching you.
True to his words, you had bodyguards, maids, and servants at your beck and call. They serviced you and provided you with anything you wanted. You barely ever had to move a finger since the maids and butlers were a step ahead of you. Even this morning, as soon as you got out of bed, there were maids who came in to clean your room, serve breakfast, and make your bed for you. The frequency of the servants of this house served to be a reminder that you’re being watched and to ensure you don’t escape.
If it was just the servants, you wouldn’t mind but it was the bodyguards who would be your problem. Looking out the window, there are clearly several big and scary-looking men in black suits patrolling the villa outside. Maybe that’s why he gave you this view out of your window. Not for sightseeing or to find solace that there is an outside world to your prison but for you to see how futile escaping is with all the guards patrolling the villa.
Sometimes, through the small glimpses of when the door is open for the maids to enter, you can see some bodyguards patrolling the hallways just outside of your bedroom. They all had earpieces attached to them, probably as a means to communicate with each other but it's likely they’re giving updates to Giorno about what you’re doing.
These three things were what you gathered during your stay here. By tomorrow, it’ll be a week since you’ve been kidnapped.
God, a week, huh? Everything just seemed to go by so fast yet so slow at the same time. You’d be lying if you said it didn’t bother you that no help has come your way but you didn’t want to give up. You spent the last few days observing and watching. To look for an opening and you think you might have just found it. Now all that’s left is to set the plan in motion. You will escape!
In the meantime, your best bet is to be on your best behavior so as to not raise any suspicions.
***
“Maria, Giorno doesn’t know you and Polnareff have been talking to me, right?”
It was the usual cleaning time for your room. Today, it was Maria who was assigned to clean and you couldn’t be happier. It's nice seeing a familiar face and having someone to talk to. The other maids are all too afraid.
“Non lo so, bambina. But if he doesn’t, I doubt it will stay that way. Don Giovanna has eyes and ears everywhere,” Maria answered while dusting the windows.
She doesn’t have to tell you twice. You’re certain there are surveillance cameras implanted in your room you’ve yet to find. Heck, there are 2 bodyguards standing just outside your door.
“Won’t you get in trouble for talking to me?”
“Oh, I’m an old woman now. Death doesn’t scare me.”
Death? Maria said it so nonchalantly that it didn’t seem like she was joking. But would Giorno really go that far? Kill Maria just for talking to you? He couldn’t… right?
“And Polnareff?”
“Signor Polnareff is Don Giovanna’s right-hand man. It will be hard to find a suitable replacement but I can’t say for certain, bambina. Don Giovanna can be hard to understand at times.”
You hesitate to speak. You surely didn’t understand the extent of Giorno’s power as a mafia boss but you had a vague idea. “If you stop talking to me, I understand,” your brows furrow and your mouth drops into a frown. If you were really honest, you wish Maria and Polnareff will continue to talk to you. But you knew that’s just wishful thinking. To defy a mafia boss is practically asking for death and that’s not something you could allow. Maria’s blood would be on your hands just as much as Giorno’s. You could never forgive yourself if Maria or Polnareff were killed because of you.
Maria stops dusting and smiles, “you’re such a kind girl, y/n. Worrying about an old lady like me when you’re in this situation.” When Maria notices the visible frown on your face, she continues her task, “I’ll be cautious. I’m in no rush to die yet and I’d like to continue serving you, signora l/n. If that’s okay with you,” she reassures you.
You smile at her comment, “I’d like that.”
With Maria and Polnareff here, you didn’t feel as lonely. Being able to interact with them was a form of escapism from the harsh reality of your current life. You knew it might not last forever. Eventually, Giorno will find out and revoke this small blessing from you but until then, you wanted to make the most of this time you can spend with them.
Glancing at the clock, Maria gathers her things and prepares to head out your door, “time to go, bambina. Don Giovanna will be here soon,” she gives you a nod and shuts the door behind her. The ever-so-audible sound of locks being armed rang through your ears, signalling that you were once again, alone.
Sighing, you grab one of the books from the bookshelf and sat at the edge of your bedside. Giorno really did his research about you. There isn’t a single book that didn’t pique your interest. Well, it at least gave you something to do. Reading was just one of the ways you would pass the time in this isolating prison cell. You turned to the first page of the book and began reading.
***
You could hear the sound of the alarm permitting access and the door opening. You didn’t need to turn around to know who had entered your room as the footsteps distinctly made it clear who it was. The click of expensive leather dress shoes was accompanied by soft and careful treading but his presence was strong and the cologne’s scent became more salient as he approached where you sat.
Giorno takes his seat next to you. He left some distance but he was still too close for your comfort. You didn’t acknowledge his presence. You made it a point to ignore him and to treat him like he’s dead. It’s just one way of enacting your revenge on him as petty as it sounded.
“Come stai, mi amore?”
Almost instinctively, your brow twitches and your stomach churn. You don’t reply. You almost had to hold back a scoff. How dare he call you his amore? In a situation like this! You never consented to be his lover so he has no right to call you amore.
When you don’t respond, Giorno leans over slightly to peek at your book, hoping to spark a conversation, “what are you reading?”
Still giving him the silent treatment, you ignore his question.
“Hades and Persephone? Finding comfort in reading about a character who you can relate to?”
You sighed, how dare he’d suggest you succumb to the same fate as Persephone, “Greek mythology keeps the mind entertained when there’s nothing else to do,” your eyes never leaving the pages of the book.
Giorno doesn’t show it but he’s smirking on the inside. He finally got you to speak to him, even if he had to rile up the bear a little. “Hades is often portrayed as a villain in media because he’s the God of the underworld. But what a lot of people miss was how he was the tamest in comparison to his brothers. He was loyal, unlike Zeus and Poseidon who had multiple affairs in their life. Hades only had eyes for Persephone.”
“Until reality hit him and he realized that kidnapping a girl isn’t how you win her affections”
Giorno paused, “Persephone eventually fell in love with him.”
“Well, it’s called Greek mythology for a reason. It’s just a myth. It's romanticized, just like everything else in media.”
“Concordo (I agree).”
You had to admit, Giorno didn’t bother you nearly as much as you thought he would. He gave you space and always kept his distance. He never forced you to do anything you didn’t want to do. You hated to say it, but he was considerate. With every visit, Giorno would indulge in your hobbies and encourage you to participate in them. He always had supplies ready for you whether it be for art, reading, exercise, etc. You figured it was because he wanted to respect your boundaries. Weird, isn’t it? Your captor gives you such hospitality.
Still, you wanted to poke back at him for his earlier comment when he suggested you’d fall for him just as Persephone did for Hades. “Demeter was enraged when her daughter went missing. Although Hades and Demeter struck a compromise to share Persephone, Hades learned how to let her go.”
“Hades and Demeter had opposing powers. Demeter gave life whereas Hades could only control death. He didn’t have the means to grow life and replace Demeter’s powers. If he possessed her powers while remaining king of the underworld, he’d be invincible. Hades would never have had to let Persephone go because he’s the strongest. Demeter would have never stood a chance.”
You turn your head and finally face Giorno, “that’d make him a true God then. To control both life and death.”
“Persephone would never be able to escape. Because she knew it’d be useless.”
***
Your conversation with Giorno kept replaying in your head as you lay in your bed staring at the ceiling.
“Persephone would never be able to escape. Because she knew it’d be useless,” those words sounded like a warning. Now that you know Giorno is a mafia boss, you know he possesses power. But to what extent and how far it reaches was still a mystery. He compared himself to a God and while you would like to just say he probably has a God complex, you didn’t sense he was lying. You pick up these things as a psych student but the way Giorno carried himself from the way he spoke and even how he walked, Giorno prided himself in always finding and knowing the objective truth. But then again, he might just be a psychopath who’s learned how to lie.
But at this point, it didn’t matter anymore. Mafia boss, psychopath, whatever he was. Because you were going to prove him wrong. Tomorrow would mark a week since your capture but also the day you would escape.

🅂irens echo in the distance, faraway blaring interrupting the otherwise serene, chilly night. You can hear them through the open window as soon as you slip inside the room, having left it open hours ago when you made your way to the hotel bar; the very place that you would lay in wait for the target of your affection to arrive.
Lady Luck has smiled fortunately upon you tonight— it's all you could really ask for, at this point. You had done your research— you’d flown in for the Hero conference, booked your room in the same hotel that hosted the event, and even figured out his itinerary for the weekend. How you had managed to actually convince him to return to your room with you, you aren’t exactly sure, but you also don't really give a damn for logistics. Not when the telltale click of the lock turning sounds, and it’s just the two of you, finally alone.

Then he’s pressing your body into the back of the door. Strong hands seize your waist and thread into the hair at the base of your neck, pulling your head back so he can lean down and smother your lips with his. You let out a moan, receptive of his sudden onslaught of kisses. His tongue runs across your bottom lip before it parts the seam of your mouth, stroking yours in greeting. Your head is clouded with lust, everything about the man simply addictive. You’ve idolized him for so long, fantasized about him endlessly. And now that you’re given the chance, you’re going to absolutely worship him.
Before you know it, the kiss becomes frantic. His grip on you tightens, crushing your body between his powerful, slender frame and the solid wood of the door. A lean, muscled thigh splits your legs as he presses himself against you, like he’s desperate for every inch of your bodies to touch, to grind against each other. Your tongue tangles with his, your fingers coiled in his silky, dual-colored hair.
As he lets out a particularly throaty groan, your hips buck and your core brushes against the sinews of his sturdy quad, your head falling back to thump against the door while you moan out his name in response. “S-Shouto— mmph~”
His lips claim yours again, leaning down so he can force your mouths together harder as he flexes the muscle and rubs it between your legs a few more times before pulling back. You gasp as his hands unlatch from their rough grasp on you and instead grab onto the back of your thighs, long fingers curling into your plush flesh as he yanks you into the air. Your legs wrap around his waist automatically, your arms tightening around his neck and fingers fisting his hair roughly. You share a moan between kisses, mouths slotting to move in sync with one another as his feet begin to navigate toward the bed.
Somehow in the dark of your hotel room, he manages to stumble his way to his destination. The mattress creaks under your shared weight, your breath escaping you as your back hits the comforter, hair flying to fan out around your face. The moonlight illuminates his face, your heart rate picking up as you take in his strikingly handsome features. Without thinking, you reach out and run your fingertips along the edge of his jaw, eyes focused on the way your thumb catches over his lip. When you look back into his eyes, you find yourself pinned with his ardent gaze— the stray beams from the moon’s glow making his two-toned eyes look like galaxies with the sole intent to devour you whole. You can barely contain the wanton moan that dares to sound when he pulls the zip down the front of his hero suit, shrugging the material off and then tearing his undershirt over his head to reveal his chiseled torso to your wide, appreciative eyes. He allows a moment for your gaze to flit over every inch of shredded muscle, making sure you trace down his adonis belt and bite your lip before he speaks, confidence clear as day and ever-growing.
“Enjoying the view, my little fan?” Shouto rumbles, the hand that’s not supporting himself moving to tuck a stray hair behind your ear, then sliding down to rest threateningly on the column of your throat when you don’t respond.
You nod, unable to speak, tongue poking out to wet your lips as your hips wiggle underneath his narrow ones. Your legs are still locked around his waist, pulling his body flush against yours without any room for argument.
He sighs and ducks his head into your neck, releasing his grip and allowing you to breathe as his lips start to plant wet kisses over the skin his fingers had just dug into. “As am I,” he groans when he rips your blouse open, the buttons flying from the seams and tinkling all across the hardwood floor. His eyes light up at the sight before him, not even acknowledging the intricate white brasserie that hides your tits from his gaze, eyes purely wandering across the swell of your cleavage and the soft skin of your stomach. It takes him a moment to realize your choice of undergarments, the white lace accented with a deep scarlet on the trim. He chuckles lowly, cocking a brow as a smirk lifts his lips. “Well you came prepared, didn’t you?”
“Just for you,” you manage to squeak out, still battling your shock that the Pro Hero is even here in your hotel room with you, let alone the fact that you can feel his hard cock pressing against your cunt through your clothes.
He ruts his hips experimentally against yours as a reward, savoring the whimper that slithers out of you and the way your legs squeeze around his waist, back arching off the bed. “That’s right, love,” the pet name sends shivers through your body, lashes fluttering against your cheekbones as you pant, “you did say you’re my number one fan, didn’t you?”
Your fingers dig into the sheets when he begins to kiss your neck again, warm lips trailing down to the tops of your breasts. “Yes,” you gasp, his teeth peeling the rim of your bra down, nose rubbing over the sensitive skin of your areola. “And you’re my— my number one h-hero, Shouto, ahh~” His hot tongue rolls over your nipple, taking the perked bud into his mouth and swirling it around playfully. The sensation makes your head spin, his hands coming to knead at your soft breasts. His thumb swipes back and forth across your other nipple, stimulating you further. Despite the generous attention he gives to your chest, your core itches for the delicious friction his hips provided again, trembling and leaking into your panties.
As if he’s reading your mind, he shuffles back onto his knees, making you feel small and prey-like under his sizzling stare while he tears your pants down your legs. You can feel his eyes taking in every inch of skin revealed, especially when he zeroes in on the wet line staining the middle of your panties, which match your bra and also sport his distinct red and white. Once the offensive material is rid of your body, he pauses as his eyes linger on your covered cunt, licking his lips. But then he gets off the bed, choosing to stand next to the edge of the mattress. “Get up, then,” he instructs, “Come show me I’m your number one with that pretty little mouth of yours.”
Your body is up and following his command within seconds, eager to please. Your knees hit the floor as you settle yourself so you’re hovering over his foot, face just a short distance from the part of him that’s entertained your late-night thoughts for months on end now. Tentatively, you place a kiss to the front of his pants, just underneath his belt buckle. Heat floods your cheeks when your lips touch the length of his hard cock through his clothing and it twitches in response, your hands drifting up the inside of his thighs on their own accord. Then they’re undoing his belt and zipper, restlessly tugging the cloth down his pale, solid thighs. You leave his pants at his knees, impatient to have him in your mouth already while you slide his briefs down to meet his pants.
Shouto chuckles darkly when his cock springs out of its confines, your expression revealing your shock and intimidation as you eye his impressive member. But lust dominates your hesitance almost immediately, your eyelids falling to half mast as you open your mouth and lick a long stripe along the underside of his cock, from balls to tip. His hand flies to your head, digits gripping your hair when you take the swollen, leaking head into your mouth.
Your tongue washes at the bitter pre-cum that’s pearled at his tip, sucking gently as you start to sink deeper onto his cock. If you could, you would smile at the choked sputter that Shouto makes. Settling yourself into position, your hips rock forward and your panties drag across the smooth rubber of the white boots he dons with his hero suit. You moan, his cock halfway lodged into your throat and vibrating with your noise of pleasure.
“Fuck,” Shouto moans, pulling you off his cock just to rub his wet cockhead across your lips. You open your mouth, tongue extending out to chase his heavy length and slip it back inside. He taps the tip against your outstretched tongue a few times, sliding the hard shaft up and down. “How’s it taste, baby? Does it taste like you’d imagined, hmm? You like having my cock in your mouth?”
You whine, just wanting to swallow him whole at this point, hips still gyrating back and forth to rub your slickening cunt against the top of his foot. “Tastes so good, my hero’s cock tastes so good, so big… please, lemme taste it, make you feel good.”
He bites his bottom lip, letting you take his cock back into your hot, wet mouth. He groans loudly when you ram his length deeper into your throat, nearly taking the whole thing into your mouth in one go. An elongated expletive hisses out of his mouth as he throws his head back, your head beginning to bob up and down his throbbing member. “There you go… just like that, love… that’s right, you look so pretty drooling for me.”
The fingers in your hair slacken their hold, allowing you to work his cock even faster, eagerness more apparent than ever. You’re sucking his dick with vigor, like your only goal in life is to make him cum down your throat. No matter how hard he tries not to show you how affected he is, he can’t help but let out the varied range of moans and sounds of bliss that your blowjob triggers.
Each noise makes your pussy twitch in your panties, the slow grinding against his footwear not doing much to satiate your growing hunger for the hero. Shouto clicks his tongue at the action, and although he tries to sound cool, his voice comes out heavy, affected. “Fuck, you’re even humping my boot, so desperate my little slut…”
His praise only makes you purr on his cock, sucking against his thickness with a smile. Just as you’re getting into a rhythm, Shouto pulls you back by the scalp abruptly, a string of split stretching to connect your lips to his thick cock. He only gives you a second before you’re in his arms again, and then you’re back on the bed, back flat against the comforter and legs peeled apart.
Your heart starts to beat faster, Shouto moving to sit between your legs. He’s naked now, white moonlight cast across his hips and making his erect cock glisten and catch your eye, your legs spreading wider in welcome of the sight. But he only laughs at you, shaking his head as his big palms come to coast up the backs of your legs. “Not yet, my little fan…” he murmurs, “gotta return the favor first.”
One hand wraps around your ankle and he closes his eyes, lips brushing along the front of your shin. Then he looks at you again, casting you a predatory gaze while his fingers creep up your thighs, eventually coming to tug at the soaked material of your panties. Once they’re off from around your ankles, he hums as he inspects the mess inside of them, thumbing over the wet patch whose existence is his complete fault.
“Seems only right for my number one fan to get this sloppy from merely sucking me off..” he comments while toying with your slick, eyes shooting over to yours momentarily. “Wonder how easy it would be to just slip my cock inside of you right now,” he continues, fingers resting on your thigh as his thumb parts your slit, calloused finger pad bumping over your clit and just barely dipping into your drenched hole. It makes you moan and shiver, and he smirks in response. “I think a real hero could get you just a little bit sloppier, though.”
You cry out when his mouth descends on you, warm tongue running up and down your slit. Your hips buck up but Shouto already expects that, his hands slamming them down before they can even lift off the sheets fully. Then he’s sucking at your clit, flicking his tongue against you, and finally diving into your cunt. His forearms cross over your hips as he pulls your hips into his arms, nesting himself between your legs so he can plunge his tongue deep inside of you.
He plays with you til you’re completely soaked, dripping for him and edged to the verge of cumming just from him fingering you one knuckle deep while his tongue flicks across your clit. “Shit, you’re wet for me,” he pants, breath ragged from going down on you for so long he’s starved himself of oxygen, “You fantasize about this or something?”
You give him a look. He only smirks and slides his fingers in deeper, all the way to the knuckles, rough finger pads rubbing along your gummy walls. “Yes,” you purr, pleased with the stimulation, “I only think of you when I touch myself, Shouto. You’re my hero, after all— the only one I want.”
He clicks his tongue and groans at that, leaning down to press a kiss onto your clit. “Just your hero?”
The sheets shuffle as you shake your head quickly, biting the inside of your cheek in anticipation. “M-My number one hero,” you correct yourself breathlessly.
Shouto hums. Then, his tongue dips into the pool of excess slick dripping around his knuckles, dragging the wetness across your bundle of nerves. He teases you and brings you back to the edge once more, this time much quicker than the last as his fingers dig into your insides, curling into you mercilessly. “Don’t even know if you deserve to have my cock in you, baby,” he sighs, eyeing how your hips tremble and follow his hand when he pulls it away. “You’re already about to cum from just this, huh?”
“No,” you deny, moving to unclasp your bra and fling it off to the side. Shouto eyes your naked chest, gaze directing to the jiggle of your soft tits as you gasp for air. “I’ll be so good, Shouto, please— whatever you want.”
He tilts his head, considering your offer. All the while, his slender fingers pump inside you, curving to press against your spongy walls and tickle someplace deep inside of you.
At his silence, you pipe up. Offer an olive branch, so to speak. “I won’t cum until you say so,” you promise, still panting from your latest, denied climax and desperate for more of his touch. “I won’t, just— you can’t touch my clit, please, otherwise I’m gonna— o-ooohh, fuck Shouto~”
He cuts you off by thrusting his fingers inside you knuckle-deep, reaching his long digits and scraping at your velvet insides with tidy fingernails. “You won’t cum,” he parrots amusedly at your determined indignation, “Mmm, baby… you shouldn’t make such promises so lightly… I think you’ve forgotten who exactly is here between your trembling legs.”
You whimper at his response, eyes shutting and nails tearing at the blanket beneath your straining body. “I won’t,” you repeat, sounding almost like you’re trying to convince yourself more than him. “I— I won’t cum, not til you let me, fuck, please Shouto. Need it— anything for your cock inside me, please. Pleaseee.”
“Hmm,” Shouto feigns thought, his digits still pressing into your pussy earnestly. The stimulation has you clenching on him, fluttering around him. But just like you say, you don’t cum on his fingers. Not even when he rocks his hand flush against your mound, long fingers reaching deep, deep inside you and making saccharine-sweet mewls pour from your lips. You take it like a champ, not allowing yourself to climax even when he begins to thrust his fingers rougher inside of you. He relishes your screams when he activates his quirk, digits becoming cold and contrasting against your heated, quivering walls.
“Aha— hnnggg, a-aHAaa Shouto! Oh my god!” You nearly cum when his hot tongue laps at your clit, his fingers still digging just as far into your soaking cunt. It feels so good that you don’t even admonish him for breaking the one rule you’d set; your brain too foggy from the building pleasure in your abdomen. The temperature is a stark contrast to the fingers squelching inside of you, sending you nearly straight off the edge he’s brought you to many times already. You’re much too close, but he wont stop, won’t give you a second to breathe. “Pleasepleasepleaseplease put it in, fuck, please fuck me Sho, please be my hero and stretch me with your fat hero cock, pleaseineeditsofuckingbadddd.”
Then everything stops. His hand retreats, as does his face, and you wail at the loss. You’re hurtling back to earth, feeling like you’re falling through the clouds and the atmosphere as the orgasm you were so close to experiencing fades away. But the bitter comedown only lasts for a second, because then Shouto’s tugging your hips down the sheets so the pink head of his cock presses flush against your dripping entrance. His hips jerk forward and you’re so wet that he enters you effortlessly.
A strangled groan rings the air in the hotel room, and you’re unsure if it was from you, him, or the both of you. His cock is hot and thick, filling your pussy to the brim and stretching you so deliciously. His length spears past the point of comfort, but the ache of penetration feels so terribly good that when you try to find your voice to complain, all that comes out is a long, erotic moan.
Shouto drops onto his elbows, trapping your open legs against the mattress as he begins to fuck you. He growls at the way your cunt suffocates his cock, squeezing and hugging him so well. Placing sloppy kisses on your throat, his thrusts begin to pick up. “Gonna fuck you stupid, love,” he swears as his hot breath fans your neck glistening with his saliva. “Fuck you so good that I’m the only one who can satisfy you— make you mine, my little fan.”
Your reply is a babbling of yeses strung together, eyes rolled back and legs pulling his hips as close to yours as they can. His promise sounds so good, his cock feels even better, and your pussy tightens around him— he’s bringing you to the edge yet again.
He can feel your impending climax, and it only stokes the flames of his ego. He smiles down at your fucked-out expression, but it turns out as more of a snarl. It doesn’t matter— you’re not even looking at him, trying your hardest not to cum right then and there from his ruthless assault on your g-spot. Moving his weight to one arm, he reaches down and starts to rub your clit, taking your nipple between his teeth at the same time and ravishing it with his quirk-cooled tongue.
“That’s cheating!” you sob but it turns into a moan, fingers clenching around his bicep in warning, your body thrumming with waves of building pleasure. Your pussy’s clenching onto him, trying to suck him back inside and milk him for all his worth, your mind too clouded with lust to really do anything in retaliation.
“But you seem to like it when I break your rules,” Shouto replies cooly as he lets your chilled nipple fall from his mouth, continuing to thrust into you, and having the gall to stare daggers directly into your crumbling glare. Each slick, powerful slap of your fronts coming together has your legs wrapping around him, your toes curling in preparation, heels digging into his firm behind. He can tell you’re teetering on the edge— honestly he's surprised you even managed to last this long.
There are tears of pleasure dotting along your lashes. Your hips are widening with every crash of Shouto’s hips against them, your body arching to welcome the ripples of pleasure each rough push against your g-spot produces. Then his fingers pull away from your clit again without warning, and you whine at the loss, orgasm stunted and sliding toward the drain.
“I do,” you gasp, hips jumping to chase his receding ones, and slamming his long length balls-deep inside of you. Shouto groans, pauses, and then grinds his hips and stirs his cock inside of you, teeth seizing his bottom lip hostage and eyes glinting down at you, daring you to say it. You’re so fucking close to just creaming all over his cock that you’re desperate, you don’t care if that’s how you come off in this moment. You need to cum. “I like it— Fuck, I love it, please— please be my hero, Shouto. Please, want you to fuck me and let me milk all the cum out your big hero cock please, I need it, Shouto— pleaseeee, ple—aHHA!”
Shouto savors the way you cry out when he pins the backs of your knees into the comforter, pulling himself up to sheathe his cock inside of you completely, then flattening you with his torso and crushing your hips with his. It’s so deep that it hurts, but the burn of your walls stretching around him makes tremors flutter through your pussy. You look at him through barely-open eyes, arms thrown up and hands digging into the blanket as you share a look of mutual understanding.
You’re absolutely done for.
One. Two. Three strokes of his fat cock inside of you and your cunt is throbbing around him, velvet walls hugging tight as your body shivers in euphoria. Shouto moans as you squeeze him ruthlessly, your body begging for his seed. You’re having an out-of-body experience, writhing with mind-numbing, brain melting ecstasy as Shouto manages to slip out of you partly, then shoves himself back into your soaking pussy just as deep. He swears as your body presses against him as close as possible, your hips hooking to nestle his cock deep inside your pulsing cunt. As if you’re not breathless enough, his rough fingers come to latch around your throat, squeezing the sides so you’re almost choking. Then he’s drilling into you without restraint, fucking you so hard you can feel your ass making an indent in the cheap hotel mattress. It’s everything you’ve dreamed of and more.
“Fuck, should I cum in my number one fan’s tight little cunt?” he taunts, watching how the desperation in your teary eyes shines brightly. “Would you like that, cutie? Want me to fill your slutty little hole with my seed, hmm?” Sweat runs down his chest and gleams in the moonlight, the crevices between his sculpted muscles shining as he exerts himself. “A-Agh— Bet you’d like your hero’s cum inside of you, huh? Dripping… fuck— dripping into you and filling you up nice and good, yeah?”
You nod wildly, jaw unhinged but unable to speak, his hand on your throat still just as tight. Your orgasm is just starting to fade, overstimulated tears glittering down the sides of your face. Shouto’s broken pants transform into a crescendo of moans, his hips slapping the backs of your thighs harsher than ever as he chases his own release. You whimper when a wild, savage growl tears out of his chest, movements stalling as his cock twitches balls-deep inside you, sticky ribbons of white spurting and volcanoing out of him. His hulking biceps pull your chest flush against his heaving one, the hand around your throat sliding to hold the back of your neck up so he can kiss you deeply through the throes of his orgasm.
Your tongues caress each other slowly, passion peaking as he holds you in his arms like you’re a delicate, glass figurine about to shatter under his weight. He’s panting, chest rising and falling swiftly in between kisses. When you’re satisfied with his affection, he lays your body down onto the comforter, removing himself from you with gentle precision. Then he comes to lay beside you, pulling you close so that your head lays on his broad chest.
“Thank you for playing along, baby,” Shouto whispers, scattering kisses across your warm cheeks. “You did so well, my love. That was a thousand times better than I ever imagined.”
You laugh wearily, hand coming up to trace his sharp jawline with your thumb. He leans into your caress, a hand covering the back of yours and squeezing gently. “My pleasure,” you respond cheekily, closing your eyes and attempting to calm your racing heart. “You were kinda hot, though— all dominant like that. You’ve got a surprisingly dirty mouth, mister.”
“Really?” he hums, seemingly pleased with your praise. “I thought you were the hot one, begging for your hero’s cock like that all cute and desperate.” He nuzzles his nose against yours, laughing lightly.
You smile and press a chaste kiss to his lips. “Mmm, well you are my hero, Sho. My number one hero… always.”
Shouto sighs happily at your confession, a shy smile spreading on his lips. “Aw, baby… now I’m hard again.”
That earns him a smack in the chest as you giggle at his revelation. Curious, you glance down at his cock, and sure enough, there’s a telltale shadow standing upright in between his hips.
“I wouldn’t mind a round two,” you suggest, turning to wink at him.
“Ready for some good ‘ole married people sex, then, love?” he suggests, a brow raising as his hand glides over your propped-up hip.
“So ready, my sexual-deviant husband.”
“Good, my naughty little wife. This time, you can call me the usual, then.”
You bite your lip, batting your lashes and looking up at him with a glint in your eye. “Yes, Sir.”

Chaos. You intellectually knew the word, in several languages in fact, but nothing could have ever prepared you for the reality of it.
Information assaulted your senses in a deluge. The gust of cold air whistling through the broken window, raking icy fingers down your exposed arms. The bright flare of flames, even behind your clenched eyelids. The dissonant, haunting wails of several car alarms, each one just a second out of sync with the next, barely audible over the loud ringing in your ears. The taste of ash, gritty on your tongue as you sucked in heaving, panting breaths. The sharp smell of smoke and something… sweeter. Like caramelizing sugar.
The sweet scent, incongruous with every other heinous detail, seemed to snap you fully back into your body, and your eyes flew open with a gasp.
You were curled up in a tight ball below your now broken window, and you gaped at your ruined apartment. The lights were out, so the only illumination you had to see by were the flames behind you on the street, but it was enough.
It looked like a tornado had torn through your home. The remnants of your window and wall—broken bits of glass, wood, and plaster—covered everything in sight in a fine layer of white dust. Your sewing desk/kitchen table was in splinters, and even with the dancing shadows, you had the distant thought that the dress you’d just finished mending was most definitely ruined.
Then someone shouted outside on the street, and you felt it like a sledgehammer to the skull.
Oh, god. The villain. The heroes.
You scrambled up onto your knees, hissing when shards of glass tore through your sweatpants and bit into your skin. You’d worry about that later. For now, you focused on getting to your feet…
And not falling out of the gaping hole in your apartment wall.
You stumbled back a few steps from the edge, stabilizing yourself on one of your kitchen chairs that seemed to have survived the blast. The smoke was thicker now that you were off the floor, and you coughed and squinted against the hot, irritating air.
The street in front of you was a warzone.
The windows in the building across from you were all blown out, the empty frames like black gaping voids. The building housed a café/tea shop owned by Mr. and Mrs. Yamato, and you felt a small modicum of relief at the knowledge that they didn’t live above the shop like you did with yours. They lived in a neighborhood not too far away, and they wouldn’t be happy when they came to open in the morning, but at least they were safe.
Safe…
“Mr. Takeyoshi!” you gasped as you remembered your neighbor. He’d been standing on the street and nearly attacked by the villain, but a blond hero had pushed the middle-aged man out of the way.
Your eyes scoured the street as you leaned forward as much as you dared, and just as your heart was beginning to clench, you spotted him. Mr. Takeyoshi was sitting on the curb across the street and about four storefronts down, hunched over with his head in his hands. Two heroes stood above him and seemed to be tending to him, and all three of the men looked whole for the most part.
“God.” You exhaled shakily, your heart still stuttering in your chest, and then movement in your peripherals caught your attention.
One hero seemed to possess a water quirk, and she was quickly working to spray down the numerous small fires still flickering up and down the road. As you watched her work, you realized the street wasn’t as badly demolished as you first assumed. It was still pretty wrecked—all of the asphalt was cracked and even just missing in some places—but aside from broken windows, the rest of the shops seemed mostly intact. The worst of the damage was centered just in front of your apartment, and as your gaze flickered over the large crater in front of you, you saw another two heroes dragging a third body out of the pit.
The villain.
The hero with the water quirk paused in spraying down the smoking remains of a car and turned to shout something at the other heroes. You couldn’t hear what she said over the persistent ringing in your hears, and you frowned as you focused your own quirk toward your ears.
In your hopped-up-on-adrenaline state, you didn’t even notice the energy dip, and a moment later, your hearing returned with a loud pop. Thankfully, all of the car alarms seemed to have been cut, so you could hear the heroes pretty well.
“—still alive,” a tall hero in a red and purple suit said. You didn’t recognize him. “He’s pretty beat up, but he’ll make it.”
“Great,” the water quirk hero sighed. “Let him be the cops’ problem now.”
As if on cue, you could hear a siren start up in the distant, slowly moving closer.
The threat was over. The villain was neutralized, the fires put out, and the authorities were on the way.
So… why did you feel so on edge, like you were waiting for the other shoe to drop?
“—fuckin’ Dynamight,” one of the heroes suddenly spat and drew you out of your thoughts.
You frowned in confusion as the words registered. Dynamight… why did that sound familiar?
Then your eyes widened as you remembered the blond hero, literally exploding onto the scene. His face—snarling and illuminated by the white-hot flare of his quirk—flashed in your mind’s eye, and you dropped your gaze back down to the street below.
Dynamight, Japan’s Number Two Hero. You couldn’t believe he had been the one to turn up and save you.
Well, not you specifically. Your neighborhood.
You’d seen the ash-blond on television before. Usually, the media just liked to harp on his crude language or brash attitude, but you’d seen this one story of how he had saved every single person from a collapsed building. A teary blonde gushing about Dynamight rescuing her had gone briefly viral, but the clip that stuck with you was when a reporter asked the pro hero why he decided to go into the unstable building without any reinforcements.
The blond had scowled into the camera, sweat and dirt still streaked across his pale face, his scarlet eyes flashing from beneath his black mask.
“What was I supposed to do?” he scoffed. “Leave them in there and sit with my thumbs up my ass while the fire department takes their sweet fuckin’ time? Don’t ask me stupid questions.”
Of course, the media had another field day with that response, but… something about it struck you as incredibly genuine. Yeah, the pro hero could have phrased it better, but the core of what he was saying was he couldn’t sit back when people were in trouble, no matter the risks.
You had thought that very brave.
And now you’d witnessed his bravery first hand. You weren’t confident—or really self-centered enough—to go down and thank him for what he’d done, but you thought you would just be satisfied with seeing him from afar now that things weren’t so dire.
But, the longer you looked, the more the pit grew in your stomach.
You couldn’t see the blond hero anywhere. He wasn’t with Mr. Takeyoshi, still hunched over on the curb. He wasn’t with the two heroes who were trying to establish a perimeter and keep out the arriving crowd of spectators. And he wasn’t with the other heroes standing watch over the unconscious villain laid out on the sidewalk.
The rest of the heroes seemed to be arriving at the same conclusions as you. You could hear Dynamight’s name being thrown about, and then the heroes were splitting up, taking different sides of the street, peeking into broken windows.
You wrung your hands as you watched them search from your apartment. No one had noticed you standing there yet, and you were just contemplating going downstairs to try and help in some way when a noise caught your attention.
In the grand scheme of things, the noise wasn’t very loud, especially given the shouting on the street and the loud sirens now that the police were arriving on scene.
But since you lived alone, someone coughing in your apartment, someone who wasn’t you, was cause for a little alarm.
You inhaled sharply as you glanced back over your shoulder, every atom of your being standing at attention. The apartment behind you was a study in contrasts, dark shadows and the flashing lights of the emergency vehicles outside. Your eyes fell on the empty spot where your couch used to be located, and then your gaze followed the drag marks that had been carved into your wood floor.
The couch was half embedded in the wall beside your front door, with one of the armrests denting into the plaster and the other pointing toward your gaping window/wall. The sofa’s legs had been broken, so it slumped to the floor at an angle, and some kind of stuffing spilled out of several rips in the cushions.
But your eyes were glued to the leg sticking out over the armrest and the arm thrown over the back of the couch, which was blocking the rest of the… person from view.
Oh, fuck. That was a person.
Your legs reacted before your brain could even process what you should do, but you were at least cognizant enough to pick your way over the worst of the debris. Your thin, rubber-soled slippers would protect you from the small pieces of glass and rubble, but you really didn’t want to step on a nail if you could help it.
Since your apartment was so small, and there weren’t any full pieces of furniture in the way anymore, you crossed the distance in a handful of strides, but you jerked to a stop when you reached the back of the couch.
Your lungs seized up so suddenly they hurt. The smell of caramelized sugar was stronger now, almost overwhelming, and you actually had to grip the back of the sofa for support, your hand right next to Dynamight’s leg.
Because it was Dynamight half-strewn across your broken couch. Even when you first saw the leg, you hadn’t imagined it could be…
But there he was. And he looked surprisingly… human.
His face was lax with unconsciousness, lacking the perpetual scowl or snarl he wore in pictures or on TV. His hair, which looked paler and somehow softer in person, was tinged red along his brow line, where a cut was still trickling sluggishly. He wore a non-descript black hoodie over dark jeans and darker combat boots, but a glint of color and light around his midsection caught your eye.
You frowned and leaned down without thinking, your fingers reaching out to brush… something wet.
“Oh, shit,” you breathed when you lifted your hand to your face and saw, even in the darkness, that the pads of your fingers were red and glistening.
He was bleeding.
You moved a step closer, but then your foot lost purchase, sliding, and when you glanced down, you saw your once white slippers were dark, more wetness seeping in around your toes.
Oh, god. He was bleeding a lot.
“Fuck, fuck, fuck.” You fumbled for the phone in your pants pocket as you scurried around the opposite end of the couch and dropped to the ground. Glass bit into your knees again, this time deeper, a sharp, brilliant pain, but you ignored it as you tried to turn your phone’s flashlight on. The touch-screen wouldn’t register your finger at first, your blood-slicked skin skimming across the glass, and you could feel a scream building in your throat just before the light flashed on.
If you thought things were bad in the dark, being able to see made it a thousand times worse.
Blood had already pooled around Dynamight, dark and glinting like an oil spill. The sleeve on his left arm had been burned off, and the skin below was pink and raw. It smelled like cooked meat, and the curry you ate what felt like a lifetime ago churned hotly in your gut.
But the burn wasn’t even the worst of it.
A wooden stake, about as wide as three of your fingers, protruded out of the pro hero’s gut by several inches. You thought part of it might have looked like your window frame, but the thought came and went when you noticed the tip of the wooden splinter was dyed red, which meant it must have come through his body.
That had to be where all this blood came from. Was still coming from. God, there was so much of it.
Your eyes shot to the gaping hole in your wall, your voice rising in your throat as you prepared to scream for help, but a sudden gasp nearly made you jump out of your skin.
You whipped back around to find wide, hazy red eyes trained on your face, and the hero’s mouth gaped open as he dragged in a ragged breath.
“Wh—hnng!” he groaned as his body seized, his right hand coming up to clutch at his stomach.
“Don’t!” Your phone clattered to the floor, throwing light, as you lunged forward, and you caught his hand before he could jar the piece of wood lodged inside him. “D-Don’t move, a-and try not to speak.”
The hero panted as he cracked open his eyes and looked at you. Or maybe through you. His gaze wasn’t very focused, and blood from the cut on his brow was still dripping into his right eye.
But the scarlet color of his irises was still striking, even in the dimness of your apartment.
“You’ve… been hurt,” you said as you met his eyes as best you could. You weren’t a doctor or an EMT, but you knew the best way to keep people calm in emergency situations was to let them know what’s happened and reassure them. “There’s a piece of wood inside you, so you can’t move or you might hurt yourself worse. But y-you’ll be okay. I’ll go get—”
“Villain,” Dynamight suddenly spat out, cutting you off and spattering you with a fine mist of blood.
“What?” His voice was rough and guttural, so it took your brain a moment to translate the slurred Japanese. Did he think you were another villain?
The blond hero winced and groaned again, and it wasn’t until he squeezed down on your hand that you realized you were still holding his. His palm was rough and calloused against yours—and warm, so inexplicably warm—but then he dug his nails into your skin, and you gasped.
“Vil… lain?” he rasped again, and you realized it was a question.
“Oh! The villain’s been arrested. You… you beat him.”
Dynamight scowled at you, brow knitting in confusion, and he grunted what sounded like a questioning noise at you.
Then he shifted his head, and you saw the dark stain of blood coming out of his ear.
He must have ruptured his eardrums in the explosion.
You didn’t want to shout and damage his hearing even more, so you squeezed his hand back and smiled in what you hoped was reassurance.
“You won,” you mouthed as clearly as you could. “You won, Dynamight.”
His narrowed eyes widened a little bit with recognition, and you could have sworn the beginnings of a smirk twitched across his lips before his eyes suddenly rolled up into his head. The tension fled his body as he went limp, like a marionette with its strings cut, and your heart lurched up into your throat.
“Dynamight?” you asked, even though you knew he couldn’t hear you with his ears the way they were. “Dynamight?”
You squeezed his fingers, shaking him a little, but his face remained slack.
Dropping his hand, you reached up to flatten one of yours across his chest, the other going up to feel at the underside of his neck. A moment ticked by, two, but you found his pulse, weak and thready beneath your fingertips. His breathing was shallow beneath your other hand, and the knees of your pants were warm and soaked with his blood.
“F-Fuck,” you breathed shakily as you sat back for a moment, your hands limp in your lap.
He was dying. Dynamight… was dying. This was too much blood, and even if you called out to the heroes right now, and they got here in seconds, it was still ten minutes to the nearest hospital.
He didn’t have ten minutes. You didn’t think he had five.
You stared down at the pro hero’s blood-streaked face for half a beat before you made a decision.
Then you were moving. Consequences be damned.
Your hands went to the hem of his hoodie, and you flinched as you pulled it away from his belly with a wet sound. You didn’t want to hurt him, but you also didn’t think he was feeling much of anything now, so you worked the hoodie up and over the stake as best you could before you shoved the fabric the rest of the way up his chest.
The flashing lights from outside played across the dips and valleys of Dynamight’s abs, but your eyes were immediately drawn to the wooden stake. It jutted out between the hero’s belly button and his right hip bone, and every splinter was coated in tacky, crimson blood. More of the viscous liquid bubbled up around the torn skin at the stake’s base, and it trickled across his pale, alabaster abdomen like spilled paint.
You bit your lip as you considered your next move, but then Dynamight’s breath hitched with a wet sound, and you knew you didn’t have time for doubts.
“Okay, steady,” you muttered to yourself as you knelt over the hero’s prone body. Your knees burned, glass digging deeper into the skin by the second, but you shoved away your own pain as you reached out and wrapped both hands around the stake. Splinters tore into your palms, and your heart hammered out a staccato rhythm beneath your sternum.
Then panic started to creep up your spine like a million little spider legs. What if removing the stake only made him worse, killed him faster? What if you killed Japan’s Number Two Hero?
Just as you were about to let go of the stake, Dynamight hacked out a gurgling cough, blood bubbling out of his dry, cracked lips, and you felt the warm spray of it against your collarbone and arms.
The sound rattled something deep inside you, and before you could second guess yourself again, you tightened your grip on the stake and tugged it up and out in one single motion.
Dynamight wheezed once more, but you were already dropping the stake, hands slapping down against his abdomen. Warm blood pulsed through your fingers like pliable clay, and bile rose in the back of your throat before you took a deep breath, closed your eyes, and called upon your quirk.
An instant later, agony like you’ve never experienced slammed into you, ripping a gasp from your lungs. It felt like someone had stuck a white-hot poker through your gut, ignited your insides, and twisted. The pain was so intense, your ears started ringing again, and when you cracked open your eyes, your vision quickly began to tunnel until the only thing you could see was the bare outline of your hands, lined with green, against the hero’s stomach. You gritted your teeth as unconsciousness threatened to pull you under, and you groaned as you shoved as much energy as you could spare into the dying hero.
As your quirk flooded into the blond’s body, you received vague impressions of his injuries healing. It was hard to describe, but it was kind of like you could see flashes of the tissue in your mind as it was stitched back together. First, the jagged hole on his back sealed over, and then your power wormed its way through the hero’s insides, patching up nicked arteries and punctured organs. The pain was still intense, so intense that your already limited vision was blurred by tears, but once you reached the top layers of his abs, you ripped your hands away with a gasp.
You fell back on your ass, more glass and debris digging into your cheeks and the palms of your hands, and you sucked in ragged breaths as you tried to keep from passing out. The hero swam unsteadily before you, both from the tears in your eyes and because the entire apartment was swaying. Saliva pooled in your mouth as nausea clamped down on your stomach, but you focused on the burning in your palms to center yourself. Then you started counting deep breaths, and when you got to thirty, the darkness had receded from the corners of your vision, and the apartment more or less steadied out around you.
You still felt like shit warmed over, like you’d been run over by a car and then dragged for several miles, but the bone-deep exhaustion could be cured with a good night’s sleep. The rest of the nicks and cuts on your body still burned like a million paper cuts, too, but your quirk was down to embers and was of no more use to you.
But was it worth it?
The two feet of distance between you and Dynamight felt like a canyon that stretched for miles, but somehow you found one last burst of strength to drag yourself forward a few inches. Then you held your breath and leaned over the hero’s abdomen, wiping away most of the pooling blood with the hem of his hoodie.
There was still a significant gash carved into his skin, but when you shakily picked up your discarded phone from the floor and directed the light at him, you saw the wound was much shallower, maybe a few centimeters deep. The first few layers of skin were flayed back, but the muscles beneath were intact and healthy looking. A small trickle of blood continued to drip into the valley of the hero’s abs, but instead of a broken fire hydrant, it was just a leaky faucet.
You dragged your tired eyes up Dynamight’s body, and you very quickly realized his breathing was deeper and not as wet sounding. Just to be doubly sure, you reached out and tentatively wrapped your fingers around his left wrist, only absently noticing that the once raw, flayed skin had been partially healed from third degree burns to first.
You had poured more energy into him than you meant to, but it was hard to regret anything when you felt his pulse against your fingertips, strong, steady, and sure.
“Oh, thank you,” you choked out as you closed your eyes, tears stinging in the corners. You didn’t know who you were thanking. You didn’t know if you believed in a “god” in the colloquial sense, but you felt as if the universe had given you a gift just now, and you could be nothing but grateful for it.
You sighed as you slumped a little, and it was like weights were strapped to your eyelids as you struggled to open them and keep them open. You might have actually gone under, succumb to the exhaustion…
If you didn’t catch sight of two crimson eyes staring back at you.
“Fuck,” you gasped as a zap of adrenaline shocked you upright, and your phone clattered to the ground once again.
Dynamight squinted, irises still a little glassy, but unlike last time, his gaze was very much focused on you.
And the weight of it, the intensity, pinned you to the floor.
“Y-You’re awake.” The words tripped off your tongue, chased out by the panic running circles in your brain. Damn it, you hadn’t even had time to come up with a plausible backstory for the pool of blood he was lying in.
The blond hero’s eyes widened a fraction as he stared at you for an immeasurably long moment, and then you remembered with a start that he hadn’t been able to hear you before. This could work in your favor, though. You opened your mouth, ready to pantomime an elaborate story, but his voice—deep and rough, like crunching gravel or an expensive engine turning over—cut you off at the knees.
“And you have eyes,” he said in clipped Japanese, a note of snide derision in his tone.
You blinked in shock—at his attitude, the steadiness of his voice, and the fact he could hear you just fine all the sudden—but he just barreled onward like he had barreled through your window.
“What happened?” he asked. No, demanded. “Who are you?”
“I—”
“And where’s that fuckin’ villain?” he cut you off as his split upper lip curled into a snarl, and his red eyes jumped to the gaping window over your shoulder.
You frowned at him, pursing your lips into a thin line. “Are you going to let me answer?”
A part of your brain was screaming at you, distantly: Are you giving Japan’s Number Two Hero attitude after he saved your life?!  You normally weren’t like this. Every inch the people pleaser, you were usually deferential to the point of your own detriment.
But you were still so tired, every inch of you aching, blood still dripping and slick along your exposed skin, and he was the one who decided to be rude first.
Plus, you saved his life, too, thankyouverymuch.
Dynamight actually seemed surprised by your response because his gaze stopped its frantic search of your darkened apartment and settled on you. Those scarlet eyes raked over you quickly, a flick from head to toe, before they met your own.
A beat of silence passed between you, and then his face pulled into a sharp frown.
“Well?” he grunted. “Are you actually going to answer me?”
The nerve of this man. Maybe the media had been right.
“What happened was you decided to practically drop a bomb outside on the street, and then you crashed straight through my window and destroyed my apartment,” you said in a short, clipped tone. “But don’t worry. My couch managed to break your fall, so you’re mostly in one piece. Oh, and you beat the villain, the other heroes are outside handing him off to authorities. Satisfied with my answers?”
You sucked in a deep breath after your little tirade, the blood roaring in your ears. Absently, you patted yourself on the back for the impromptu white lie you’d fed him. The couch did in fact break his fall… and shoved a stake through his gut, but he didn’t need to know that. Fortunately, you had dropped said impaling object behind you in your haste to keep some blood in his body, and you shifted a little now to insure it was blocked from his view. You had healed his life-threatening injury—and his hearing, apparently, though you hadn’t intended that—but he was still covered in scrapes, cuts, and minor burns along his left arm. It was a… plausible amount of wounds, so hopefully your little quirk indiscretion would go unnoticed.
Dynamight was still staring at you in silence, and you began to fidget, on the edge of saying you were going to go flag down another hero, when he finally spoke up again.
“No, I’m not satisfied. You didn’t answer all my damn questions. Who the hell are you?”
A flush of heat infused your cheeks—part anger, part embarrassment for being put on the spot again and being the subject of his intense glare—and you averted your eyes as you mumbled out your name.
“Hah?” he practically shouted as he leaned forward, bringing with him that bewildering scent of burned sugar, but he suddenly stopped with a wince that he quickly turned into a scowl. “Speak up, I hate when people mutter. Just like goddamn Deku.”
The last sentence wasn’t directed at you, but you found his mention of Japan’s Number One Hero intriguing.
You sighed and repeated your name for him, a little louder this time, and he grunted in what seemed like acknowledgment before he started to struggle upright again in the ruins of your couch.
“Don’t move too fast, you’ll start bleeding again,” you chided and scooted closer to stop him from aggravating the injury on his abdomen. You’d healed the worst of it, but it was still an open wound, and he was bound to be sore as hell after smashing through a window/wall.
“M’ fine,” he grumbled as he settled into a slightly more seated position. Then he looked down and noticed his hoodie was still partially rucked up around his arm pits, and his red eyes shot back to you. He studied you for a long moment, but his face was unreadable. “Undressing me while I was unconscious? You’re not one of those damn obsessed fangirls, are ya?”
Your cheeks flared red-hot, but you scowled at the ash-blond hero. “N-No! I—You were bleeding, so I wanted to make sure it wasn’t too b-bad. But, uh, the gash isn’t that deep.”
It was a little harder to make more articulate, detailed lies, especially when his blood was still drying on your hands and you could remember the exact feel of his pulse slowing beneath your fingertips.
Dynamight narrowed his scarlet eyes at you, and you knew you weren’t being convincing. Panic started to claw up the back of your throat again. His burning gaze was charring away at your weaknesses, your resolve. Maybe it wouldn’t be so bad, confessing. You’d saved his life after all. That wasn’t a bad thing.
Then you remembered all the articles you’d looked up one anxiety-filled night, soon after moving here. All the stories about people using their quirks and causing damage. Of people with healing quirks trying to help and only doing more harm. The fines, the charges, and in rare cases, imprisonment.
You didn’t think you’d be locked up, but you couldn’t afford any fines now, and as an immigrant, any mark on your record could get you immediately deported.
Your mouth dried up. You couldn’t be deported, sent back to your parents as a failure again. What’s more, you had people who relied on you here, like Mrs. Kojima. You weren’t a hero, not important by any means, but… you had just found something to give your life a little purpose. A little stability.
No, you couldn’t be discovered. You just couldn’t.
Your newfound resolve stiffened your spine a little, but when you lifted your chin and met those piercing crimson eyes again, your courage—along with your tongue—shriveled inside you.
Fuck, how were you going to lie your way out of this?
Unfortunately, Dynamight didn’t give you any more time to get your story straight.
“Your hands are all fucked up.”
You startled at his rough voice, instinctively flipping your hands palm-side down and tucking them between your legs. Then, when your brain caught up to your body, you cursed yourself.
Could you be any more obvious, any more guilty?
“I, uh, i-it’s nothing,” you stammered, clearing your throat before you continued. “I cut myself on the broken glass from the window, but it’s not serious. Nothing a few bandaids won’t fix, anyway. Maybe some gauze and antiseptic, but definitely not a hospital visit or anything.”
You knew you were babbling but somehow couldn’t stop it, your anxiety just seizing control of your tongue, and you clenched your torn-up hands into fists until the stinging pain centered you a little bit.
Once again, Dynamight studied you in silence, like he was choosing his words carefully.
“Did you nick your damn wrist, too?” he finally asked as his neutral mask twisted into his signature scowl. “Looks like a lot of blood. Don’t be an idiot and bleed out on me. I don’t wanna deal with the fuckin’ paperwork.”
Well, maybe not that carefully.
“I-I’m not bleeding out,” you protested with a frown. “I’m fine.”
“Let me see.”
You blinked. “Excuse me?
The hero stuck out his right hand, palm up, his scowl only deepening. “Let me see your hands.”
Fuck. A drop of icy cold fear slid down your spine. Your hands were indeed “fucked up” like the blond said, but the cuts were all shallow and minor. They would in no way explain how you were coated in blood up past your wrists. None of your injuries would account for that.
And none of his current ones would, either.
“I—” You opened and closed your mouth several times like a gasping fish, and Dynamight’s eyes narrowed on you with what you were sure was suspicion.
And then, like a gift from the heavens, a small but bright beam of light suddenly flooded your apartment from over your shoulder.
“Dynamight?” a male voice shouted.
The blond hero clenched his eyes shut and turned away from the light, and you. “I’m here! Turn that damn light out.”
Said light cut out an instant later, and you seized the opportunity that had just been presented to you.
Quick as a whip, you leaned over and snatched a large swath of dark fabric that you’d seen in the brief moment of illumination, and you reeled it into your lap quickly. The fabric had been a personal project of yours, a gown you’d started on a whim, but that didn’t matter now. Dynamight was still rubbing at his eyes, grumbling about being blinded, so you kicked half of the unfinished garment under and around the base of the ruined couch, effectively covering up the large pool of blood that had congealed under the splintered furniture. Then you reached behind you, grabbed the bloody stake, and shoved it between the folds of fabric.
There. Now, most of the evidence was hidden.
And not a moment too soon, because in the next breath you heard the crunch of glass as the unnamed hero stepped into the apartment behind you.
“Hello?”
“We’re over here,” you called back, struggling to your feet so the hero could see you over the back of the couch.
The hero was silhouetted against your ruined window and the flashing police lights outside, so you couldn’t see much of his face, but you could tell he was tall and broad-shouldered, wrapped in a red and purple suit you didn’t recognize.
“Are you alright, ma’am?” the hero asked in very formal Japanese.
You opened your mouth to reply, but Dynamight cut you off. It seemed to be a habit of his.
“We’re fine,” he grunted, and you turned to see the blond shoving himself to his feet. A gasp caught in your throat, and you made a half-aborted motion to stop him, but his red eyes snapped up and glared at you, freezing you in your tracks. “Aren’t we?”
It took a moment for you to realize the last question was directed at you, and when Dynamight’s lip curled up into a sneer as he accusingly dropped his gaze to your hands, you realized none of your lies had convinced him after all.
“Y-Yes.” The word stumbled out of your mouth without your permission, but you couldn’t seem to tear your eyes off the blond as you felt your world falling in around you for the second time tonight. “We’re fine.”
The hero behind you said something, but it was lost in the static suddenly filling your head.
He knows. He knows. Dynamight knows.
The words cycled through your brain again and again, a broken record. What would he do? Would he tell the other hero? Or take you down to the authorities himself? And what then? Would they arrest you? Give you a few days to pack up and say your goodbyes before your deportation?
Just as you were beginning to spiral, movement caught your attention, and you watched as if from a distance as Dynamight suddenly stepped past you, the scent of burnt sugar stinging your nose as he went. He was talking, and the low rumble of his voice vibrated through your body since he was so close, barely a hair’s breadth away, but he seemed to be talking to the other hero.
Was he confessing your secret already?
You couldn’t seem to turn around, your slippered feet rooted to your debris strewn floor. Even in the dark, you could see the black stain of Dynamight’s blood on your ruined couch cushions, and without thinking, you leaned down, picked up another torn and dirty piece of fabric, and threw it over the stain, blocking it from view.
You didn’t know why you did that. It didn’t matter now. Dynamight knew, and—
“Ma’am?” A hand touched your elbow, and you jumped, whirling around. “Whoa, careful there.”
It was the tall hero in the red and purple suit. He was wearing a partial mask over his eyes, so only the lower half of his face was visible, framed by two pieces of dark hair. He smiled at you, a pleasant, reassuring gesture, but you could only gape at him.
“Are you alright?” he asked you again, a frown replacing his smile. His eyes started to look you over, but you shoved your hands into the pockets of your sweats before he could see them.
It doesn’t matter, you idiot, your brain screamed, but your body was still going through the motions of keeping your secret, twisting your hands in your pockets, trying to rub out the blood.
“I’m fine,” you said again and then realized repeating the same trite phrase probably wasn’t convincing. So, you smiled at the hero, or at least you thought you did. Your face felt strangely stiff and numb, but you flashed your teeth and crinkled your eyes just the same. “Really. I’m just a little… shaken up is all. I have a few cuts and bruises, but nothing serious. The apartment took the worst of the damage, obviously.”
You laughed, a hint of hysteria in your voice, as you gestured to the gaping hole in your wall behind the hero, hoping to get him away from your blood-soaked couch. And, blessedly, he did turn, so you took a few steps past him until you were both facing the broken window.
Then you noticed Dynamight was standing near the hole, very cautiously leaning against the last remaining, exposed stud in the wall, with his hands shoved in the pocket of his hoodie. His body was facing out into the street, but his eyes were still locked on you, the red of them only intensified by the police lights still flashing on the street.
His eyes seemed to say, I know what you did, and all the saliva dried up in your mouth.
“Well, as bad as the damage is to your home, I’m glad you weren’t seriously injured, ma’am,” the hero at your side suddenly said, and you jolted when you realized he was responding to your inane babble from what already felt like hours ago.
“O-Oh, yes.” You smiled again, just as forced and twice as shaky. “I was… very lucky. A-And thank you! For doing your part to s-stop that villain before he hurt anyone or caused even more damage.”
“Yes, well, there was still more damage than I would have preferred,” the hero replied, and you didn’t miss the dirty look he shot Dynamight, who just deepened his scowl because he was still looking at you. “But let’s get you down to the street. The paramedics will look you over, and the authorities will want to take a statement. But don’t worry, they’ll also put you up in a hotel for the night since you obviously can’t stay here.”
He threw the last part of the sentence at Dynamight like a dagger, and the blond finally tore his eyes off you to glare at the other hero.
You waited for the explosive hero to… well, explode, but he only stared down the tall man beside you before he rolled his eyes, glanced at you one last time, and then jumped out the hole in your wall.
“No—” you gasped, stumbling forward like you could stop him, but an instant later, you heard a mini-boom out on the street, followed by Dynamight barking orders at someone.
Oh, yeah. You remembered how the blond had burst through the air while fighting the villain and realized he didn’t just ruin all your hard, illegal healing work by face-planting onto the concrete.
You sighed and suddenly swayed, like the blond leaving had finally cut all of your tense strings. The adrenaline was fading at last, exhaustion leeching through your veins in its place, and you listed into the hero beside you.
“Ma’am?” he asked, a note of concern in his voice.
“Sorry,” you mumbled sleepily, trying and failing to find your balance. “I think… the shock is wearing off. Just… tired.”
“Would it be alright if I carried you down to the street?”
You wanted to protest, say you could take the stairs down to your shop, but your tongue felt sluggish in your mouth, and all you managed was a vaguely affirmative sounding hum.
“Okay, hold on.”
You felt one hand wrap around your shoulders while the other scooped you up around the knees, and usually, you would protest, insecure about your weight, but the hero settled you against his chest with ease. The instant you were off your feet, every muscle in your body went limp, and you were too tired to even be embarrassed when your head flopped against the hero’s collarbone.
You had the vague thought that he didn’t smell like warm sugar, followed by a flash of disappointment, but then the hero was moving, jumping, and you were falling through the air.
Unfortunately, you didn’t get the luxury of passing out.
Once you hit the street, it was all sirens and shouting, flashing lights and flashes of people, so many people.
True to his word, the hero in the red and purple suit carried you over to an ambulance and two waiting paramedics. The American in you panicked, instinctively trying to refuse care because your shop and home were just destroyed, you didn’t have money for an ambulance ride, too.
But as the medics peppered you with rapid fire Japanese questions, you were reminded of where you were, and the bright flashlight shining into your eyes sure woke you up a little.
The next half an hour was a blur. The paramedics tended to the wounds on your palms, knees, and, embarrassingly, ass, but all of the cuts were shallow, and none of them even required stitches. You knew they wouldn’t require stitches anyway, because once you rested up, your quirk would heal you, but you kept your mouth shut and let the medics wrap you in gauze and bandages. You seemed to have rubbed away enough of the blood on your hands that they weren’t suspicious, but it brought you no relief.
While they worked, you watched the heroes and police out of your peripherals. They were still working to seal off the scene and tend to your neighbors, who were gathered further down the block behind some yellow tape. It didn’t look like anyone else had been injured beside you, and for that you were grateful.
But your stomach was still in knots.
More than once, you heard Dynamight’s brash voice bark over the sirens and other voices, and as the paramedics were finishing up the bandages on your hands, a head of ash-blond hair jutted out over the police car closest to you. Unable to stop yourself, your eyes zeroed in on that distinctive hair color, and you saw the explosive hero was speaking—well, yelling—at two police officers.
Your mouth felt suddenly dry despite the multiple cups of water the medics had fed to you. What was Dynamight saying?
As if he could hear your thoughts, red eyes snapped to the side and locked onto yours, and the breath hitched in your chest. That crimson gaze held you trapped, unable to look away, so when the two officers he’d been speaking to suddenly stepped into your field of vision, you gasped.
“Apologies, didn’t mean to startle you, ma’am,” one of the officers said. He was a middle-aged man, balding, with a serious face and a no-nonsense expression. “We just wanted to ask you a few questions, if you feel up to it.”
You swallowed, your throat clicking, and your heart stuttered into a breakneck pace beneath your sternum.
“O-Of course,” you replied, only stumbling a little over your Japanese. You smiled at the officers, but the expression felt stilted, and fear seized you by the throat and squeezed until your breaths were shallow and grating in your ears.
“Thank you.” The balding officer nodded. “My name is Detective Nakahara. I’ve been told you witnessed and were injured in tonight’s attack.”
You thought the injury part was obvious, given your myriad of bandages and the fact you were sitting in the back of an ambulance, but you nodded to confirm anyway since your voice had abandoned you.
This was it. He was going to ask you the damning question, and you were going to tell the truth. Lying to a hero in the heat of the moment had been one thing, but lying to a police officer during an official statement was another thing entirely. It would take one database search for them to confirm your quirk and Dynamight’s story, and then you really would be in trouble. Maybe imprisoned instead of deported. You cursed yourself for not knowing more about the laws that were going to quickly ruin your life.
But… then Nakahara started asking you about the villain and what you saw, and you stuttered out an answer to the best of your ability. You thought this might have been a disarming tactic, to lull you into a false sense of security, but when you got to the part of the story where Dynamight burst through your window, the officer sighed.
“I take it that’s your apartment there?” Detective Nakahara asked as he gestured to the gaping hole.
“Y-Yes.” You nodded. “And I own the shop below.”
Which you now realized looked no better than your apartment. The windows were all blown out, black scorch marks along the door frame, and you didn’t want to even think about the shape of the interior.
“What kind of shop is it?” he followed up, but he sounded more curious than interrogatory.
“Clothing alterations,” you said. “M-My grandparents were a tailor and seamstress. I inherited the shop about a year ago, after they passed.”
“My condolences,” Nakahara murmured with a small dip of his head, and he seemed genuine. “For your grandparents, and your home and business.”
You blinked in surprise at the turn in conversation. “O-Oh, thank you, that’s very kind.”
“Do you have anywhere to go for the night, or were you on the way to the hospital?” he asked as he looked you over.
“No,” you said quickly and then blushed. “I-I mean, my injuries aren’t serious enough for a hospital visit. Just some cuts and scrapes.”
“Alright.” Nakahara nodded. “Is there any family we can call for you? Or take you to?”
“N-No,” you repeated, a little more timidly this time. “My parents… don’t live around here, and I don’t really have any other family.”
“Any friends?” he asked with a furrowed brow.
Your face was red-hot now, and you dropped your eyes to your lap, fiddling with your bandaged fingers. What were you going to say? That you were an introvert, and the only “friends” you had were the old ladies who frequented your shop?
“None that I would want to bother in the middle of the night,” you muttered before you suddenly remembered something. “But, um, one of the heroes said you could maybe take me to a hotel?”
“Of course, we can take you right now, and we’ll also pay for the night,” the detective said.
“Oh, you don’t have to—” you started to protest as you snapped your head up, but the officer held up a hand.
“The city has funds to aid those displaced by villain attacks,” he explained. “The next forty-eight hours are guaranteed, so if I were you, I would use the opportunity to rest.”
Detective Nakahara glanced down at your bandages, and you bit your lips as you nodded.
“Okay, thank you for your help then, sir.” It was all you could think to say.
“You’re welcome.” Nakahara nodded back at you and then reached out to help you out of the ambulance. “If you’ll come this way, we can have an officer collect some things from your apartment, and then we’ll head to the hotel and get you settled.”
The finality in his tone and the idea of a hotel drew you up short. What… was happening? You had thought the detective was going to interrogate you about your quirk, not… chauffeur you to a nice hotel.
The practical part of your brain was screaming for you to let it go, but the words were high-diving off your tongue before you could stop them.
“I-Is that all?”
Detective Nakahara paused and looked at you with a raised eyebrow. “Is what all?”
“I—” Shut up, shut up, shut up! “You didn’t have any more questions for me?”
“No,” the detective said simply. “We have your statement, and it matches the others we’ve obtained.” Here, he frowned and seemed to study you for a moment. “Did you have any other questions for me?”
“I… was just wondering what the next steps are for my apartment and shop,” you blurted out the first thing you could think of. “Will the… city pay for repairs? Do I have to fill out some forms?”
It was an honest question, a real one you had, but your mind was still reeling. He wasn’t going to ask about your quirk? Had… Had Dynamight not said anything?
Nakahara sighed but held a hand out for you to take, and you absently let him help you down from the ambulance. Then he slowly began walking toward one of the police cars, and you had no choice but to follow since you were still holding onto his arm for balance.
“Unfortunately,” the detective started, “the city will not be able to repair your home or business.”
“Why?” you asked with a frown. “I thought you said there were funds.”
“There are,” he said, and when you looked up at him, you noticed his lips were pursed into a thin line. “And, if the villain himself had thrown debris through your window, then the city would compensate you. But, in this situation, Dynamight caused the damaged.”
The detective practically spat the blond hero’s name, and your surprise must have shown on your face because Nakahara quickly cleared his throat and schooled his expression.
“Because of this, his agency will be responsible for repairs, so you will have to contact them,” the officer finished.
Contact them? You had to contact Dynamight’s agency, which meant… fuck. You felt the blood drain from your face, and your expression must have shown your dismay because Nakahara patted your hand that was still looped through his arm
“But you can worry about that tomorrow,” he said. “Let’s get your things and get you to the hotel so you can rest.”
You nodded blankly and let the detective lead you to the open backseat of a police car. Nakahara called another officer over, and the woman asked you questions about where things were in your apartment. You answered numbly, listing out different clothing items and how to get to your bedroom. Then she was gone, and Nakahara stepped away to do something else, so you were suddenly left all alone.
Unbidden, you looked up and searched for that pair of scarlet eyes, that head of ash-blond hair, but the explosive hero was suddenly nowhere to be found.
The crime scene continued to bustle around you, but all the while, two thoughts circled each other in your head, like binary stars stuck in each other’s orbit:
Dynamight didn’t reveal my secret.
But I’m going to have to face him again.

hi bestie! here's a concept for u: think about sitting in arans lap after taking an (eventful) shower after practice. his skin warm against yours and the towel hanging loose around his hips does nothing to stop his bulge from pressing into yours. his kisses are slow and purposeful, sucking on your chest and neck while you apply product to his damp hair, massaging his scalp in that circular motion he likes. it's soft and intimate how you crane your head to get a better look at his scalp, brushing down and around in a clockwise motion a couple times until the waves curl in on themselves and he's looking dashingly handsome per usual.
"gonna put the duey on too?" he grins and you humm in reply. confirming his assumption when you lean in to press a kiss to his plump lips, simultaneously tugging the baby blue silk material off his desk. you secure it to his head with ease and slide your fingers along the seams to ensure the fabric doesn't press into his forehead while he sleeps. "there. all good" you whisper.
arans lovestruck smile is blinding, he looks at you with dark, hooded eyes that unleash butterflies in your abdomen. then a pulse of wanting warms you from the inside out when he rasps "mmm, thank you prince"
Summary: When- when I say I look dumb ash smiling hella hard in my bed- I say that with the highest confidence cuz. ✌🏽😛 I dont think yall understand but Aran is literally a fucking- *bangs on the mf table* BLACK GOD— lemme do this before I bust a nut in these damn pants. Also I love yo ass for this. ❤💙💛 { Hope you don't mind I got carried away. This req might make me do a part 2. 🚶🏽‍♂️}

Steam clouded shower windows with two intimate silhouettes crossing eachother. Coming for the second time is when your mind started o slip into something darker than your own lust. You draw your body closer to the chest of your lover, Aran, as his heavy hands squeeze near your rigid hip bones as if it was routine.
In an hushed voice to your ear, "So out in the open for me, sweets." He smirked when you turned to plant a messy kiss under his jaw. Not meaning to linger longer than you need to.
Due to everything basically falling in slow motion, breathing felt more difficult as you felt him pulsate inside of you. Ugh, his girth was most definitely something you favored.
Anything that required moving felt hard, though. How could he be conscious while you were barely on your own feet ? God complex anyone would think, honestly.
Minutes passing while your heart sped up for the umpth time as you felt your orgasm come in reach. Not even a break ? You could only guess he was still pumped with adrenaline from the winning game earlier.
He hit the finishing touch to the ball as the audience roared with excitement and cheer. He deserved it. And as the greedy and lovestruck thing he was, he also thought he deserved some shower sex from his favorite person. You.
"Baby- g- Mm-! Gonna cum, bae. Fuck !" He held you close as though someone would take you from him. Broad shoulders hunching over as he jerked you off under lukewarm water.
He mumbled a, "Come on baby boy.. Come on daddy and show me how much I deserve this tight ass." That sent you over the moon immediately, having you shooting a quivering load. Breath racked in your lungs and head thrown back as your curled in closer to the much bigger body. "There you go. Good boy. Fuck, such a perfect lil' thing." Ending the sex with tender kisses to his lovers back.
He did deserve it.

After a long while, you both made yourselves present in his room. Aran not even bothering to adjust the towel around his hips considering the light bulge he had underneath rudely pressing against your own.
"I love you so much Y/N." He started with purposeful kisses occasionally giving your ass a firm, but a gentle stroke of his enlarged hands. He loved you alright. He couldn't stop himself from nipping at your warm wet skin on your chest to your neck. The hickies already looking as red as a rose in spring. You doubt he would apologize for them since he enjoyed hearing you complain in the morning.
"I love you too. Too much.." You were in sync with his body language and movement. Had you not drawn yourself back, you probably would have had him have his way with you again. That sounded pleasant to the ears though you both needed rest.
"Give me the comb and oil bottle." Your boyfriend stopped his idle ministrations and quirked and eyebrow at you.
"Give you what ?" He waited for a response before you giving him a playful eye roll.
"Please. Please give me the comb and oil. Stop play with me, Aran." You said. He stifled his laugh as you were handed the comb. Soft stroking his head with it as you crane your head to get a different angles at a specific area. His hair was one of the things he cherished secretly so you and some other family members were only aloud to touch it.
A minute later or so you realized his eyes were lingering near your chest down to your idle member. "Feel good ?" You whispered. Scooting yourself closer to his body.
"Yeah. S' good to me, baby boy. Thank you." He murmured. The movement to hug your waist nearly made you drop the oil bottle out of your hand.
He sat up straight to look up at you only to give you a lingering smooches to your jaw. "Gonna put the duey on ?" He asked. You hummed. Raising your shoulders a bit from the ticklish sensation he was giving you to your jaw.
"So sensitive." He poked your sides making you jump, while in the process of grabbing his silky baby blue durag from his desk.
"Stop before I choke you with this string, boy." You giggled. He snickered. Not funny.
"You wouldn't." He pestered on. You would, but you weren't in the mood to act goofy after kickass shower sex.
He started to trace his fingers under your towel, rubbing on your thighs while you were at work putting on the duey. It was silent in the room besides him humming every now and then some songs.
"Done, you look sexier now." You kissed his forehead as you smoothed your hand over his head. He smiled then his face turned into confusion.
"I wasn't sexy before ?" He said chuckling. It was cute and funny how your day started with a win of a your boyfriend's game, then ending in you both in his room giggling and cackling like dumbasses.
"You are ! But this baby blue on yo big ass head gonna make me bust one. Stay safe." You chuckled lightly as you pulled away from him. Finally standing on your own legs on the cold wooden floor. The water on both of your bodies dried up now aswell.
"'M finna put on some clothes. It's cold in here." Before you could even step closer to the dresser he grabbed you by your waist. The both of you falling into the plush bed as he made quick ministrations to cover you both in blankets and his sheets. The towels you both had around your bodies long forgotton.
"You are literally something." You mumbled scooting closer to his warm chest. Having a slightly bigger person to cuddle with was always a blessing and he took that role with a smile.
"I may be something, but I'm your something and you're my prince." So sappy. He planted a kiss to your temple. You hummed in appreciation as you placed chaste kisses to his chest and underside his clipped beard.
"Sleepy now.." you said. Yawning felt really good at the moment. Letting your eyes hang low and mind rest fully. Aran held you closer to his chest as he brushed back any hair from your forehead.
"Go to sleep my prince. You deserve it." He murmured laying the final kiss to your upper eye lid. You don't know what you did to deserve it, but knowing how humble and forgiving your man is, you might have deserved it at this point if he said something.

Gojo Satoru x reader
Summary: A joke you played on Gojo kinda backfired. But was it really backfire or something you didn’t mind happening.. ;)
A/N: this turned out longer than I had expected. ANYWAYS I enjoyed writing this one ngl:)
——————————————————————————
Gojo was by far one of the most annoying people you have met, but sadly at the same time he is one of your closest friends. He’d always joke around and never really took anything serious. You would be training the 2nd years on the field and he would just be playing around with his first year students. You didn’t mind that he went easy on the first years, but he just left all the extra hard work over to you once they were in their second year. Which naturally made him more annoying to you. For a 28 year old he sure doesn't act his age.
“What if you just went on a date with me?”, Gojo said as you were walking to your room, the one you stayed in at school. It was a much cheaper solution, so you didn’t mind it much. Plus you got to spend more time with your students and... other colleagues.
“What about no?”, you said as you stopped in front of your door.
“AAAAH SENSEI THAT HURTS”, Gojo said as he clutched his heart over dramatically.
“I’m not your sensei”, you answered back at him.
“I mean you could be”, he answered with a wink.
“How about no”, you said as you opened your door. “I am just your colleague.”
“Did I really just get colleague-zoned?”, he said as he wiped away a fake tear making you roll your eyes.
He was always like this. He’d joke around about liking you and didn't’ even conceal the fact about wanting to be in a relationship. But it had been like this since forever and you were so adapted to all the rejecting you did, that it always happened naturally now. He’d go “I like you a lot so let’s go on a date” and you would just shut him down in various ways.
Of course there were times he’d make you blush or make your heart beat a little faster than normally, but you never really took his words into consideration. For example a certain situation that made your heart beat faster:
“Not gonna lie, You look really stunning this evening”, he said as he accompanied you on an evening party between all the teachers from Tokyo and Kyoto Jujustu High.
He had reached out his hand for you to take because that was the kind of guy he was. He didn’t care about how he presented himself in public, so looking like his partner or not was not one of his concerns. So you just didn’t see a problem with it and took his hand as he locked both of your arms.
“Why thank you sir Satoru”, you said as you played along with him. “Though I have to say it feels a little too tight.”
“I think it accentuates your body perfectly”, he said with a wink. “Shall we go inside?”, he said back as your face was probably flushed red. With a nod the both of you went inside the building.
It had been a peaceful night until a man wouldn’t stop bothering you. He was probably a teacher from Kyoto High so you didn’t want to sound rude, but you really did not enjoy the way he was bothering you.
To your luck, Gojo had been watching the whole scene and couldn’t hold his chill. He walked up to you and linked your arms again. “I will be walking this person outside, if you have no business left with them you can gladly leave”, he said with a serious expression, boring a whole in the man’s face with his look.
He pulled you with him to the exit and you just went along. “Maybe we should tell the rest that we’re leaving”, you hesitantly said.
“It’s alright I'll let someone know we left”, he said.
“Not to be rude, but if we leave so abruptly together they might think wrongly...” You didn’t want to finish that sentence because he’d either act hurt and make jokes out of it or he’d be actually hurt and try not to show it.
You heard him sigh. “I’ll tell them you felt sick and that I sent you with a taxi. Don’t worry about it”, he said in a low voice.
You weren’t gonna lie that that moment had made your heart beat faster, but you couldn’t tell him that. It felt weird to admit that to a person you have been rejecting for over years now. It’s not like you would feel like this constantly, so you didn’t mind it much. But little did you know... It wasn’t just a temporary feeling.
“You should check on your students, they’re still outside in the rain because of your punishment”, you said snapping back to reality.
“Ah that’s alright, I gave Megumi the lead. He made sure all three of em went inside before it started raining. All so that I could have some alone time with you", he winked again.
“Then why are only Nobara and Yuuji outside?”, you asked as you pointed at your window. They weren’t, but you just wanted him to shut up and leave, so that was your solution.
His eyes widened and he just sprinted in the directions of the stairs. He took it very serious when his students got sick, because he needed all of the time he got to teach his students. You always made fun of his way of teaching, but in the end the students always turned out to be strong. You didn’t ever really admit is, but he was a good teacher and in some way you looked up to him. Though that piece of information was not for him to know. He had a dream, and his students were helping him achieve it.
“Ooooh y/n sensei, you didn’t sleep yet?” It was Itadori who came walking in your direction. “I was looking for Gojo sensei, but I can’t find him anywhere.”
“Oh I sent him outside to look for you guys, because I told him Megumi left you and Nobara outside in the rain”, you said.
He looked visibly confused and looked his own body up and down. “But I'm right here?”
“Exactly”, you said as you winked and pointed a finger gun at him.
His eyes widened and he started laughing. “Sensei that’s so cruel!”
“I have to do what I have to do in order for him to leave me alone sometimes”, you said with a sigh.
“Is Gojo sensei that bad towards you then?”, Yuuji asked.
“Ah Yuuji you’re making me seem like the bad guy here. But no, he actually isn’t all that bad. But he just doesn’t know about the word private space sometimes”, you said reassuring the teenager.
“oh no I didn’t want to make you feel bad about your words”, he worriedly said as he shook his head. “I just know how Fushiguro gets annoyed easily, so I thought it might have been the same for you. Oh Gojo sensei!”
You turned your head to the side and saw Gojo walking in your direction as Itadori waved frantically, but it faded more and more as Gojo walked closer. He was completely drenched and he held his eye mask in his hands. He looked pissed, or more annoyed.
“Yuuji could you leave me alone with y/n sensei”, he said not looking up.
“y/n sensei is this alright”, Yuuji whispered.
“It’s alright Yuuji, don’t worry about it. Just make sure you don’t stay around here, okey?”, you said with a smile and a nod to reassure him.
“Okey”, he said with a worried expression as he left anyways.
You waited till You didn’t see Itadori anymore. You walked inside your room and Gojo just walked right in after you. You didn’t have the time to close the door as he just pinned you against it, making the push close the door. You were taken aback and Gojo just stared at you. You couldn’t read his expression at all.
“Listen, I play and joke around a lot I know. But making me worry about my students’ health isn’t one of the things I can joke around with”, he said.
“What is it Gojo, did I push the wrong button?”, you said back, not giving a sign of being intimidated by him.
“Don’t go playing all big and mighty now”, he said in an almost whisper, inching closer to your face.
Your heart was beating in your chest, but you didn’t give in. “What are you gonna do about it?”, you said also inching closer, leaving almost no space between your faces.
That was his sign. That was all he needed as confirmation so he just held you neck and pulled you in, closing the space that was left between the two of you. you synced with his movements and he barely gave you a moment to breath.
He pulled back and looked you straight in the eyes. “I’m not joking around with you, I'm serious. I am ready to give you my all, I hope you realized that by now. I know you feel the same way and I'll give you as much time as you need. But don’t make me waste my time. So if you want me just tell me and I'll give you all the space you need after that”, he said with no hint of sarcasm.
“Who said I wanted space?”, you said with a smug smile. “Why would i want space when I can take you right now Gojo Satoru”, you said in a whisper with a smug smile.
He liked that side of you. That playful side of you that appears once in a while. It turned him on, it made him imagine things he shouldn’t and you knew you had that impact on him. Because in the end he never showed any effort in concealing his true feelings so figuring him out wasn’t as hard as you sometimes thought it would.
He smiled back at you and raised his eyebrows. “Guess chasing after you was really worth it huh?”
You pulled him back in for a kiss and this one was more passionate than the other. You pulled him closer, you deepened the kiss and he did everything in his power to not squish you against the door. Your hand moved to his damp hair and you tugged at it lightly. He moved his head to your ear and trailed down kisses to your shoulder.
His hand moved to the lock of the door and you heard it click. You turned your head slightly that you had a good view on his face. He was smirking and you rolled your eyes at him in a playful way.
“Let’s see how good you keep your word when saying you can take me right now”, he said.
“I can’t back down now, can I”, you smugly answered.
With a breathy laugh he brought his face back to yours. “where were we”, he said in a whisper.
“Here”, you said and you pulled him back in for a kiss.
It was quite obvious from the start that you and Gojo would end up like this. You couldn’t deny your feelings forever and Gojo was one hell of a pain in the ass to keep on reminding you that you had no escape from him. Not that you wanted that. But like said before, he didn’t need to know that piece of information. Some things were better left off not said, because in the end Gojo Satoru is one hell of a cocky person, but that was one thing you adored so much about him. And let’s not forget, you were in love with him and there was no denying that either.

In no way did Suguru think he was a clean, righteous person. He knew many decisions he made weren't the right ones, he knows he's had to hurt innocent people. But the way you looked at him every time he walked through the door made him believe he was. The gentle tender love and care tending to his wounds after a long day of work gone bad, hurting innocent people. You never seemed to mind, never seemed to ask, never seemed to care if the way you kissed his bruised, bloody knuckles spoke what your heart was thinking. Every time he tried to bring up his line of work, knowing there was a good chance one day you might get dragged in despite how hard he tried to keep you separate, keep you secret, you simply shook your head and smiled at him. As long as you're you, I don't care what you do, you'd say. As long as I'm happy with you here and now, I don't care what happens later. Suguru would be lying if he said he didn't come to the conclusion he couldn't live without you right there, right then, the first time you said those words with your blindingly bright smile. Everyone was far from perfect, except you. There was no such thing as perfect, except you– and sometimes, you made him feel perfect too. "I know you can't help it, but," You muttered, tongue poked out between your lips as you tied the bandage around his torso with utmost concentration, "If you're gonna get hurt, try to avoid something this close to your heart." His softened gaze followed your fingers as you gently caressed the bandages above his deep cut, the pain not even registering with how gently, how lovingly you treated him. "After all, if your heart gets hurt, so does mine." He knew, deep down, he didn't deserve you. "I'll try my best, darling." Suguru smiled, hands gently finding your hips, his forehead leaning into your chest as you cradled him from your standing position. There you stayed, slowly, gently swaying in comfortable silence. You made him feel virtuous, as if mere hours ago he didn't commit horrible, unforgivable atrocities, unforgivable and damning sins. This is how most of your evenings together would go, patching him up, dancing around each other in the kitchen as you made dinner together, if he was ever home early you'd watch a movie together. Even if it was rare with the long hours he worked, those were the days he cherished, those were the days that got him through it all. You never asked for more, even though he knew you deserved every second of his time, you deserved the world and the heavens above. What were you if not a goddess, damned to mortality, damned to a life loving him. Suguru held you close as you laid in bed, the rain pattering on the window lulling you both into a comfortable half-asleep daze. He noticed the way you kept some distance, trying not to irritate his fresh wound. "Sugu," Your voice called, urging him to open his eyes and gaze down at you. Your sudden silence intrigued him, and the way your ears went pink intrigued him even more. "What is it, little lamb?" Suguru sounded tired, voice gravelly from a long day. He kissed the crown of your head, rubbing soft circles on the small of your back, urging you to talk to him about what you so eagerly wanted to get out. "Maybe one day–" You paused again, fists balling at his bare chest, "One day, would you want to start a family?" The thought had most certainly crossed his mind, on several occasions. Suguru would regularly daydream about a peaceful life of domesticity with you, a child or two, a nice house in a nice neighborhood with a nice, respectable job. He'd always snuffed the idea, knowing that he probably wouldn't live to see his child grow up properly. Still, though, the way you pressed your cheek into his arm and stared at him with wide, inquisitive eyes had him smiling sadly. "My beautiful angel... Under different circumstances, I wouldn't have to think twice." He didn't want to lie to you, but the frown tugging at your lips had his heart clenching in his chest. "We could go somewhere they can't find you, we could move somewhere warm and sunny." Suguru chuckled at your optimism, though a twinge of sadness was behind it. They would find him, no matter what he did or where he went. He didn't dare say it, he knew your response already, that's just an excuse. "That would be nice, wouldn't it?" Your silence told him everything he needed to know. There wasn't anything he could say, so instead he kissed your forehead, your cheek, your nose, then your lips. There he lingered, sighing gently when your hands moved up to his shoulders, then his neck. Heightened by your saddened state, the way you pulled him closer, fingers brushing through the hair on his neck, thumbs stroking his jawline, was all so desperate. It was your silent plea, your attempt to change a fate already set in stone. "I can't stand to see you sad, little lamb." He smiled against your lips, slowly shifting on the bed until he was hovering over you. Those eyes, the way you looked at him, so wide and clear and swimming with emotion. So pure, so untainted, so good. Everything he wasn't, and everything he strives to be. "I'll make it up to you, darling," He kissed you again, then your chin, then your neck, "I promise." Only when he received a nod of approval did he proceed, gently pulling your underwear off, oh so gently helping you lift your night shirt over your head. Never in the years you'd been together has he grown accustom to just how lucky he is to exist on this world at the same time you did. "You're so beautiful, absolutely perfect. Have I told you this?" Of course he has, but the smile on his face was so cheeky, so mischievous it made you giggle. "Maybe once or twice." Suguru returned your laugh, pulling his hair back into a bun with the hair tie on his wrist, before descending down your body. Every place he stopped, he kissed, nuzzled, nibbled, eliciting a sigh from you nearly every time. The sight of your eyes closing and head tilting back once he reached your core, giving your bundle of nerves a sweet kitten lick, was akin to seeing God. Surely it was the holiest thing he would witness in all his time on this earth. You were, after all, nothing short of an angel. Making himself more comfortable, Suguru gripped your thighs, throwing them over his shoulders. The soft look you gave him, those sweet eyes, your perfect parted kiss-plumped lips... "Beautiful," Was all he whispered into the plush skin if your thigh before parting you with his thumbs, gently kissing, licking, and sucking your sensitive clit. The long whine you emitted only spurred him on, fingers teasing your entrance by touching and squeezing everywhere but where you wanted. Admittedly, it's been a while since the two of you got intimate time together. Either he would come home too late, or too hurt, for the two of you to comfortably do anything. You never seemed to press. "I'm sorry I haven't been taking care of you, little lamb," Suguru replaced his mouth with his hands, thumb swirling circles around your bundle of nerves, while his index and forefinger ever so slowly entered your heat. He set an immediately fast pace, fox-like eyes drinking in your pleasure twisted face. The sweet sounds dripping from your mouth were like music to his ears, the arch of your back from the mattress eliciting a dark chuckle from him. "I know I haven't been the most solicitous boyfriend as of late," His fingers curled inside you at his words, "I hear you in the shower, you know." He kissed his way back up your body, stopping only briefly to flick his tongue across a pebbled nipple, stopping mere centimeters away from your lips. He wanted to bask in your whines and moans for just a moment longer, his personal hymn. "Naughty little thing, never asking for help." Suguru didn't get to tease you for long, your hands finding quick purchase on his cheeks, tugging him down and kissing him with desperate force. Your frenzied, open mouthed kisses were met ten-fold, a slow, low moan coming from him at the uncharacteristic abrasiveness you were displaying. The way your walls clenched around his fingers let him know just how bad you'd been needing him, the whispered I'm cumming against his lips. When your hand came down to palm at his very hard erection outside his briefs was when he decided he'd have to reign you in much tighter than usual tonight. Tonight wasn't about him. His fingers worked in tandem with your heaving chest, every push and pull in sync with your hurried breaths. He had half a mind to pin your arms above your head and fuck you stupid with his fingers, but he couldn't deny you of what you really wanted. "I know you're eager, darling, but be good." He saw the shiver run up your body at his authoritative tone, one he didn't use often. At the same time, he pulled down his boxer briefs and added his ring finger to your dripping cunt. It isn't that he had to, he knew you were already perfectly wet for him, he just loved the way your thin fingers gripped the sheets, the way your head thrashed from side to side. Very briefly, Suguru entertained the thought of a golden band wrapped around his finger as he defiled you with his hands. How beautiful it would look disappearing, reappearing, covered in your slick. It made his cock twitch. The second he removed his sopping fingers from you, he'd lined up the thick head of his cock with your trembling sex, leaning back with his hands on your knees. He could see the surprise on your face, your arm half-way reached to the bedside drawer to get a condom. "I know," He crooned, stroking your knee. Admittedly, the two of you weren't diligent with using condoms when you didn't have to, but he was well aware this was the week you really should be using them, lest you want unexpected surprises. Your teary eyes and beaming smile could put the pearly golden gates of heaven to shame. The way you squealed as he pushed in had his own eyes rolling back, forcing your knees apart further until he had completely buried himself to in your welcoming heat. Having been a while, he had to take a shaky breath before slowly, ever so slowly, pulling out to the tip, pushing back in with a bit more haste. How quickly, and how tightly, you wrapped your legs around his waist nearly winded him, enraptured cries of faster, please, I need you making him groan. "You poor thing, so needy," Suguru barely managed to breathe out, hips moving at a steady pace. The obscene sound of your slick sticking to his hips every time he tenderly fucked into you made him acutely aware of exactly how long its been. Ashamedly aware of how close he was to his climax, Suguru's thin fingers moved between your bodies, sliding in a quick back and forth motion against your clit at an attempt to get you closer, faster. The immediate reaction had his hips stuttering, your gummy walls clenching intensely around him, your impending orgasm pushing him over the edge. He only briefly stopped moving, whispering an apology into your hair as he tenderly flipped your body. Having you lay prone was one of your favorite positions, but it was mostly done to hide the embarrassed pink tint climbing up his neck from your gaze. White seed squished out and dripped down your sex, between your thighs, when he pushed back into you, the feeling alone having you throwing your head back and crying out for him. He continued his unrelenting pace, seeming completely unfazed by his own orgasm. "You like that, hm?" Suguru teased, a hand sliding down the curve of your hip, reaching under you, pressing his palm flat against where he felt himself protruding on your pelvis. "You like getting filled up with my cum, you want me to fuck a baby into you, darling?" His lewd words elicited muffled screams and cries of affirmation, your face buried in a pillow and biting down. Usually, Suguru would save his dirty talk for rough, frustrated, passionate sex, but how badly you needed him, begging him, to fill you up again had his mind hazy. He knew you well enough that you didn't have to tell him you were coming undone. "Such a good girl, you're so– so good, cum for me." Demanding words had you squeezing around his cock, the flutter and spasm of your orgasm urging him to move faster, harder, climbing another of his own release. Suguru was much more vocal this time around, hissing through clenched teeth, muttering sweet nothings and your name and I love you, I love you, I love you so much. Rutting and rolling his hips into you as he coated your walls white, his arm came around your chest and hugged you back against him. He pressed long, searing kisses into the shoulder his chin had been resting on, only pulling out from your messy cum-coated slick once he was sure you were satisfied with how thoroughly he bred you. You tiredly collapsed back into his chest, head turned to lazily gaze up at his equally tired, smiling face. He knew what transpired was irresponsible at best, the weight of parental responsibility already settling in the back of his mind. For now, he would simply entertain the idea. The inquisitive gaze you held had him chuckling, kissing your cheek tenderly, as if that would answer all the questions he could see you wanted to ask him. He never fed you lies, but when he told you everything will be okay, we'll find a way, I promise it sounded almost sincere enough to pass as the truth. Soft strokes of your hair lulled you to sleep, but Suguru found himself wide awake and staring at your beautiful lips, nose, lashes, the curve if your jaw, the dips of your collarbone. He found himself thinking of your words more than he should, knowing what the outcome would inevitably be. He came to the conclusion that for you, he would fight for his freedom. He would fight for you, for a family, for a normal life, somewhere warm and sunny. In this life, in the next life, in the afterlife, he would fight for you and love you with everything he had, his beautiful guardian angel.
