Ppl who make posts talking abt how they're proud of their 'birth culture' bc they see mxtx books in english on display and then going 'glad to see more of our culture exported ExcEpT CCp 🤪' shut tf up! 🙄🙄🙄 Same energy as Chinese diaspo who 'reclaim' anti Chinese racism making fun of a culture they never bothered to learn abt in order to assure their non Chinese friends/audience that it's totally okay to make racist jokes abt us, or the idiots who joke abt us being 'like basically white' while being from an upper middle class family living in a yt neighborhood and never interacting with a working class immigrant in an ethnic enclave ever in their lives. The few other Chinese ppl ur parents force u to talk to are almost guaranteed to be in a similar income bracket, and we have one of the largest income disparities among our own in the country, u cant speak for all of us.

Also. My own politics aside. Associating being Chinese with politics has gotten our ppl killed in the past and present which u would know if u put a scrap of effort into not being embarrassingly whitewashed and rejecting all our culture and history bc its smelly and gross and not cool lol
