Headcanon:
Solaria has a figure 8 orbit around two suns. That means it effectively has two summers and two winters per year, and the peak of summer happens when it crosses between the two suns, putting the planet through a few weeks with no darkness anywhere (because of this Stella sometimes sleeps with her lights on). The deepest part of winter is at the outermost ends of the orbit, where the suns eclipse eachother, and the poles do experience snow during those months

[ID: a digital sketch of Eda and Raine from the owl house. They're in their designs from watching and dreaming, pre epilogue. Raine holds out their arm for an injection (given by a disembodied hand and labeled "magic rabies shot") and Eda lays a hand on their shoulder and leans her head on theirs. She says "you're doing great Raine! how'd you get rabies tho?". Raine stares dead eyed at the viewer as a thought bubble connected to them shows Belos biting down on their arm. End ID]
I was gonna post a request today but I feel like it's gonna flop and this is funnier. So request tomorrow, Raine Whispers Rabies doodle today

Dew let it slip to Phantom that Rain likes to be bullied sometimes. Flip the script, so to speak. Conveniently leaves out how, though.
And one day the little bug is sitting on Rain's bed, kicking their feet, waiting for him to finish getting ready, when Dew's words start playing in their head.
"Damn cheap liner," Rain hisses to himself, snatching the sharpener from the counter again.
Rain is talking to himself, of course, but Phantom snaps their head up, a little smirk curling on their face.
"Dunno Rainy, seems like a skill issue to me."
Phantom feels their stomach drop when Rain turns towards them.
"Skill issue, huh?"
The way Rain's head is tilted is definitely predatory, something in their brainstem telling them to run.
They don't though, which is how they end up in front of the mirror, Rain behind them, growling about skill issues.
And when Phantom and Rain walk into the den forty minutes late, Phantom's face streaked with mascara and messy lipstick, the rest of the pack are smart enough to pretend not to notice.

ok i haven't made a person post in 5000 years but im losing my mind thinking about this and i can't contain it and i haven't seen anyone else talking about it
in the most recent episode when Armand and Louis are talking in Louis's apartment and Louis gets frustrated about only being able to make fire when he's angry, Armand tells him "I try and find the vulnerability within the object" and like that's just it, isn't it? that's his whole fucking character right there in one kind of throw away line.
And if you take that and apply it to his observation from earlier in the season, "that boy we met in San Francisco, he's still in there and we can find him" like!!!!! it's the same fucking picture your honor
All Armand does is look for the vulnerability and exploit it. He's had the thoughts of changing the coven but he could never say them himself so he lets Lestat come in and do it. "You brought him there so he could destroy it." Armand never gets his hands dirty, he just finds the vulnerability and exploits it by letting something else do the dirty work for him whether it be Lestat or Louis or fire. When the coven goes on the hunt he finds this party full of wealthy people living in luxury while the majority of the country is in post war poverty and he uses that to justify them being killed but also exploits the sentiments of the coven, knowing they'll do the work for him. He doesn't even go inside, barely even glances as they destroy the place.
But ALSO in this scene, he and Louis smoke their cigarettes outside and they both use lighters to light them. Armand isn't showing his full hand yet, he's drawn to Louis but doesn't fully trust him. He doesn't show him that until later, when he's more sure Louis feels the same about him. I think there's another scene then when Louis uses a lighter but Armand doesn't.
Then later we see that scene with Louis struggling with the candle and he says the thing about only being able to do it when he's angry, and then we only see him do it when he's angry. There he's angry because Lestat is invading again, but also angry that he's still being pressured about the coven. When he sets his pictures on fire he's angry about the rejection from the art dealer and then angry at Claudia.
Then there's the final scene on the bench in the rain. He's just allowed Lestat to disappear as Armand approaches, after telling Lestat he's going to break things off with Armand. Maybe it's a lie just for Lestat but I think there's at least some truth to it, some part of him that's going to, but then Armand starts confiding in him, and he realizes he has him completely.
"I used to be real good at running things" followed immediately by "I'm a little wet" he doesn't even ask Armand to put up the umbrella Armand just does it because he told Louis about his past and now Louis has found his vulnerable point and knows how to use it. So then he hands Armand a cigarette and Armand tells him he wants him and Louis calls him Arun and Armans calls him Maitre. He knows it's over now, he's not angry he's in complete and total control so he lights Armand's cigarette first and then his own, and then throws his lighter away.
THAT is the moment so far, to me, where Louis comes into his own as a vampire. Here's this 500 year old master manipulator and Louis has him wrapped around his finger. Find the vulnerability within the fucking object. God.

rain world movement tech is so bizarre it's like technically i comprehend what must be done here but in practice i can't do any of it
like oh yeah slide by pressing jump and left and down at once but you also have to release down while still holding forwards to maximize distance but also you can jump at the right time to pounce and THEN you should hold down to roll out of that and meanwhile i can't even consistently do the move

Honestly Rayla is equally 100% ride or die for Callum too.
That's so true I almost mentioned it in that post. They're so ridiculously feral for each other it's hilarious to watch. Callum's the legitimate "we ride AND die together" whereas Rayla is the "I will ride and die FOR you" sort of deal yknow?
Could be literally any situation, no matter how dangerous, and she's already decided she will die here. Does it ensure Callum lives? Then batter-up buckeroo we're going in swords blazing! Everyone cheer and clap for her human or she'll blow this whole place up. Kinda person who says "even if you hate me I'd still lose everything if it meant you were okay". She thinks they're in a tragic love story where she's always at risk of losing him but that's okay as long as it keeps him safe and happy like y'know Viren parallels, she'd risk losing her very self for him over and over. Except Callum would wait until the end of the world itself, and even beyond, and she wouldn't even have to ask.
The difference between them, really, is that Rayla will die for Callum on any given day. Callum will kill for Rayla on any given day. Something something matching sets

for the second year in a row we're having a rain season in Northen Italy. if it will repeat itself the next one it should get at least a cool name. it's the least that can happen to mitigate the fact that I'm doing laundry calculating how many sun hours we have before I have to collect it from the clothesline.
(and that I put the comforter away literally last week and I still have a heavy quilt on the bed... it's still only 21°C in my house ffs!)
