i'm stuck awake thinking about a bloodweave fine dining AU with bitchy lead server astarion and a smug sous chef gale. They butt heads a little in the beginning because Gale is a bit of a hard ass about the menu and Astarion doesn't care about anything other than making tips. Astarion pretty quickly wins over Gale though by bringing him drinks and snacks during the rush, always coming with a gift in hand when a table wants a ridiculous modification. Gale starts sneaking food to Astarion when it's slow just to make sure he's eaten because he sees him working long hours with no breaks. Gale finding Astarion crying in the walk in after a particularly hard day and just holding him tight while they both freeze. Taking smoke breaks together to share a cigarette after close. Going for drinks after work and getting a little too tipsy, stumbling home together while laughing about all the ridiculous people they dealt with today. Gale finds himself looking forward to working with Astarion every day. Eventually they stop bickering and just start flirting so much at work that everyone around them is just WAITING for them to finally kiss and get it over with. Also Karlach as a food runner who just has to WATCH them eye fuck eachother every time Astarion comes into the kitchen and she has to refrain from telling them to get a goddamn room.

both bbh and phil saying in separate moments they should be the bait to trap forever and save him is so fascinating to me

phil saying he has to be the one to do it because he's one of the only people in the island forever trusts enough to take to see "richas" in his secret base and he still cares about him a lot

bad saying he might agree to the plan to accept forever's marriage offer because he's the one forever wants and they could use that, then there's also the fact that bad almost got through to him when they were talking alone

Chef of the 212th and the inventor of space cross contamination protocols, is a lovely gender neutral lady who's even more built than 17 from heaving sacks of spflour, and that all her deviations from uniform come in the form of neon and pastel spcrocs, spbandanas because she invented not getting hair in space food, and aprons with lots and lots of pockets, in and to which many handy tools (thermometers, tasting spoons, paring knives) are attached with spcarabiners? In case you needed someone to draw, that is. 💗🧡🤍💜

I hope I did her justice<3 I did take some liberties with the uniform after spending an inordinate amount of time this afternoon pondering what a chef on one of the venators might wear, ultimately settling on the red fatigue pants that we see them in on Kamino (as opposed to risking nasty spills on the grey dress pants we see other ship-board clones wearing, you see), and the blacks top for thermo-regulation and to keep sleevies tight to the skin and out of the food. I gave her hot pink carabiners for a fun little extra pop of color, and her mitts and rag are of course inspired by 212th gold (I like to think they were a present, perhaps by a certain Jedi in honor of her promotion?).

I had a lot of fun and I hope you like my rendition<3

Just spitballing here but i think it'd be interesting if in an AU where Rhaenys lived instead of going in the opposite direction as Tywin she was like yk what atrocities are fine actually when you commit them against Lannisters. If anything i feel it'd be more realistic. How many people do you know who are subject to incredible violence who become pacifists.

Like im SICK of female characters being forced to have the mildest most kumbaya reactions to being mistreated. I still remember the arguments people made around Dany's "the Usurper's Dogs" comment you'd think she was hand writing and mailing death threats to each of the stark kids individually instead of pointing out that yeah theres some shared culpability between the rebels for what happened to Elia and her children (even if Dany arrived at the right conclusion with incorrect reasoning)
